Abstract

ABSTRACT The kitab munakahat so far only presents Islamic procedures for intercourse, the wife's obligations to her husband, or the husband's rights to his wife which are full of patriarchal nuances. Different from other classical Islamic books, the Kitab Adabul Muasyaroh by KH. Yasin Asmuni offers mutuality in marriage towards a saadah marriage as in the marriage of the Prophet Muhammad and Khadijah al Kubro. This study focuses on describing the concept of saadah marriage in the Kitab Adabul Muasyarah using a critical discourse approach. The results of the study show that in terms of text, there are rewording, overwording, euphemisms, and metaphors; intertextually it was found that the thoughts of KH. Yasin Asmuni in this book were influenced by two Islamic thinkers, namely Abu Hamid Al Ghazali and Jamaluddin al-Qosimi. The justice of the division of rights and obligations of husband and wife in this book uses the mubadalah 'mutual' approach which is in line with the reading of Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir’s theory of Mubadalah which was published twenty years after this book was published. Explanatively, it is found that this book positions husband and wife proportionally as evidenced by the existence of obligations and rights for husband and wife. Another uniqueness of this book is the existence of a contradiction in thought in the form of the husband's dominance over his wife in the early part and the mutuality and equality of husband and wife in the middle to the end of the Kitab Adabul Muasyaroh because this book is a kitab khulasah that combines the thoughts of two Islamic thinkers, occurs. ABSTRAK Kitab munakahat selama ini hanya menyajikan tata cara bersenggama yang Islami, kewajiban istri atas suami, atau hak suami atas istri yang sarat nuansa patriarkal. Berbeda dengan kitab lain, Kitab Adabul Muasyaroh karya KH. Yasin Asmuni menawarkan kesalingan dalam pernikahan menuju pernikahan saadah sebagaimana pernikahan Nabi Muhammad dan Khadijah. Kubro. Penelitian ini fokus mendeskripsikan konsep pernikahan saadah dalam Kitab Adabul Muasyarah dengan pendekatan wacana kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara teks, terdapat rewording, overwording, eufimisme, dan metafora; secara intertekstual ditemukan bahwa pemikiran KH. Yasin Asmuni pada kitab ini dipengaruhi dua pemikir Islam, yaitu Abu Hamid Al Ghazali dan Jamaluddin al-Qosimi. Keadilan pembagian hak dan kewajiban suami dan istri dalam kitab ini menggunakan pendekatan mubadalah ‘kesalingan’ yang selaras dengan pembacaan Mubadalah Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir yang terbit dua puluh tahun setelah kitab ini terbit. Secara eksplanatif, ditemukan bahwa kitab ini memosisikan suami dan istri secara proporsional terbukti dengan adanya kewajiban dan hak bagi suami dan istri. Keunikan lain dari kitab ini adalah adanya kontradiksi pemikiran berupa dominasi suami atas istri pada bagian awal dan kesalingan dan kesetaran suami dan istri pada bagian tengah hingga akhir Kitab Adabul Muasyaroh ini karena kitab ini merupakan kitab khulasah yang memadukan pemikiran dua pemikir Islam, terjadi.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to identify and analyze the strategies of Muslim communities in Lampung in maintaining their cultural and religious identities amid the influence of transnational globalization, especially with the presence of imported ideologies such as Wahhabi-Salafi fundamentalism and secular liberalism, as well as transnational Islamic movements such as Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). This research also seeks to understand how the interaction between globalization, local identity and religion affects religious practices and social structures in Lampung, as well as evaluate the policies and measures taken by the local government in dealing with the influence of these transnational ideologies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore the strategies of Lampung Muslim communities in dealing with transnational globalization and the influence of movements such as HTI. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with community leaders, religious leaders, and community members, as well as participatory observation at various religious events and activities. The research findings show that Lampung Muslim communities adopt various strategies to maintain their cultural and religious identity amidst globalization. These include preserving local culture through arts and customs programs, developing the local economy by utilizing digital technology, and strengthening religious education to ensure Islamic values are passed on to the next generation. Despite HTI's success in garnering support through proselytizing and street demonstrations, the government's decisive action in dissolving HTI reflects efforts to maintain national stability and defend the ideology of Pancasila. Abstract Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi masyarakat Muslim di Lampung dalam mempertahankan identitas budaya dan agama mereka di tengah pengaruh globalisasi transnasional, terutama dengan adanya ideologi-ideologi impor seperti fundamentalisme Wahhabi-Salafi dan liberalisme sekuler, serta gerakan Islam transnasional seperti Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). Penelitian ini juga berusaha memahami bagaimana interaksi antara globalisasi, identitas lokal, dan agama mempengaruhi praktik keagamaan dan struktur sosial di Lampung, serta mengevaluasi kebijakan dan langkah-langkah yang diambil oleh pemerintah setempat dalam menangani pengaruh ideologi transnasional ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk mengeksplorasi strategi masyarakat Muslim Lampung dalam menghadapi globalisasi transnasional dan pengaruh gerakan seperti HTI. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh masyarakat, pemimpin agama, dan anggota komunitas, serta observasi partisipatif di berbagai acara dan kegiatan keagamaan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Muslim Lampung mengadopsi berbagai strategi untuk mempertahankan identitas budaya dan agama mereka di tengah arus globalisasi. Upaya tersebut meliputi pelestarian budaya lokal melalui program kesenian dan adat istiadat, pengembangan ekonomi lokal dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital, serta penguatan pendidikan agama untuk memastikan nilai-nilai Islam diwariskan kepada generasi berikutnya. Meskipun HTI berhasil menggalang dukungan melalui dakwah dan demonstrasi jalanan, tindakan tegas pemerintah dalam membubarkan HTI mencerminkan upaya untuk menjaga stabilitas nasional dan mempertahankan ideologi Pancasila.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In modern society, women have more opportunities to participate in public spheres. However, in Madura, Indonesia, social expectations rooted in patriarchal norms still limit their leadership potential, especially in student organizations. In fact, of the 257 student organizations in 8 universities, only 18% are led by women. This study explores how Madurese students perceive female leadership, how female students view their own leadership abilities, and how these perceptions, shaped by social beliefs and gender stereotypes, influence their involvement in these organizations. Based on Emile Durkheim's concept of social facts, this study examines how family values, religious interpretations of female leadership roles, and campus and community environments shape these perceptions. Using a qualitative research methodology with a sociological perspective, this study highlights the factors that influence female leadership aspirations in higher education in Madura. The findings of this study highlight the role of a supportive environment in countering negative social constructs and empowering women to pursue leadership roles in student organizations. ABSTRAK Meskipun era modern membuka peluang yang lebih luas bagi perempuan untuk berkiprah di ranah publik, di Madura, ekspektasi sosial yang berakar pada norma patriarki masih membatasi potensi kepemimpinan mereka, khususnya dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan. Faktanya, dari 257 organisasi mahasiswa di 8 perguruan tinggi, hanya 18 % yang dipimpin oleh perempuan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana persepsi mahasiswa Madura tentang kepemimpinan perempuan, bagaimana mahasiswi memandang kemampuan kepemimpinan mereka serta bagaimana persepsi ini, yang dibentuk oleh keyakinan sosial dan stereotip gender, memengaruhi keterlibatan mereka dalam organisasi tersebut. Berdasarkan konsep fakta sosial Emile Durkheim, penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana nilai-nilai keluarga, interpretasi agama tentang peran kepemimpinan perempuan, serta lingkungan kampus dan komunitas membentuk persepsi ini. Dengan menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif perspektif sosiologis, penelitian ini menyoroti faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi aspirasi kepemimpinan perempuan dalam pendidikan tinggi di Madura. Temuan penelitian ini menyoroti peran lingkungan yang mendukung dalam melawan konstruksi sosial negative dan memberdayakan perempuan untuk mengejar peran kepemimpinan dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan.

Abstract

The study of Islamic moderation in pesantren needs to be considered as an effort to prevent radicalism and extremism, because besides having historical legitimacy as indigenous Indonesian education, pesantren since its inception have affirmed itself as a moderate education. By using a qualitative approach, the research which was carried out in four Islamic boarding schools in Madura resulted in the construction of the kiai's moderation thought is in the neo-modernist type. Islamic moderation is instilled by promoting exemplary and learning from walisongo, as well as being given understanding through studying the turats book. It is manifested in tolerant behavior and openness to ikhtilaf. The implication for the santri's diversity is the growth of respect for religious differences and opinions within their own religion.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Religious moderation is a solution step in the midst of differences that exist in a multicultural nation to anticipate disharmony in society. This article samples the concept of religious moderation offered by Islam as a Samawi religion in Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]: 143 which is represented in the word ummatan wasaṭan and the concept of religious moderation offered by Hinduism as an Ardi religion in Bhagavad Gita 6.17 which is represented in the word yoga. Although both were born from different wombs and different contexts, there must be similarities in certain respects. Therefore, to find the differences as well as the similarities, Roland Barthes' semiotics is used to explore the different aspects of language as well as their historical contexts. There are two important findings in this article first, the linguistic review shows that the word ummatan wasaṭan in Islam refers to a group that is moderate, just and becomes ′uswatun ḥasanah. While the word yoga in Hinduism is moderation, balance, and spiritual endeavour; secondly, the two scriptures have similarities and differences both based on origin and context, meaning, main focus, and practical application. Keywords: Religious moderation, comparison, semiotics, Roland Barthes ABSTRAK Moderasi beragama merupakan sebuah langkah solutif di tengah perbedaan yang ada dalam sebuah bangsa yang multikultural untuk mengantisipasi disharmonisasi dalam masyarakat. Artikel ini mengambil sampel konsep moderasi beragama yang ditawarkan oleh Islam sebagai agama Samawi dalam Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]: 143 yang terepresentasi dalam kata ummatan wasaṭan dan konsep moderasi beragama yang ditawarkan oleh agama Hindu sebagai agama Ardi dalam Bhagavad Gita 6.17 yang terepresentasi dalam kata yoga. Meskipun keduanya lahir dari rahim yang berbeda dan konteks yang berbeda, pasti terdapat kesamaan dalam beberapa hal tertentu. Maka untuk menemukan sisi perbedaan sekaligus persamaan keduanya, penggunaan semiotika Roland Barthes digunakan untuk menelusuri perbedaan aspek bahasa sekaligus konteks historis keduanya. Terdapat dua temuan penting dalam artikel ini pertama, tinjauan kebahasaan menunjukkan bahwa kata ummatan wasaṭan dalam Islam menunjuk pada kelompok yang moderat, adil dan menjadi ′uswatun ḥasanah. Sedangkan kata yoga dalam agama Hindu adalah moderasi, keseimbangan, dan usaha spiritual; kedua, kedua kitab suci tersebut memiliki persamaan dan perbedaan baik berdasarkan asal-usul dan konteks, pemaknaan, fokus utama, serta pengaplikasian secara praktis. Abstract

ABSTRACT In recent years, Indonesia has been confronted with socio-religious problems, with the discourse of Moderate Islam and Extreme Islam at stake. Because these two groups have fought over the meaning of Islam in the middle of the public space by carrying different Islamic symbols by claiming their respective truths, this has triggered horizontal conflicts based on religion. This phenomenon cannot be separated from the existence of FPI which has attracted a lot of attention among the wider community, both academics and the general public. This research aims; first, to construct the identity of FPI, second, the concept of religious derivation adopted by FPI religious organization, and, third, the dissolution of FPI. The method used is discourse analysis based on Michel Foucault's genealogy of power perspective and through a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature study sources. Data in the form of text that can be obtained from scientific literature; in the form of journals, theses, theses, visual-video and other supporting documents. The results show that the dissolution of FPI is inseparable from the power relations of moderate ulama' and the government, the findings show that FPI is an embodiment of an organizational movement that tends to be extreme in religious practice. The theoretical implication in this research is as an effort to develop the study of the role of ulama and umara' in the socio-religious context. ABSTRAK Beberapa tahun terakhir Indonesia dihadapkan pada problem sosial keagamaan, diskursus Islam Moderat dan Islam Ekstrem menjadi taruhannya. Karena kedua kelompok ini telah berebut makna Islam di tengah ruang public dengan mengusung simbol-simbol Islam yang berbeda-beda dan mengklaim kebenaran mereka masing-masing. Hal tersebut memicu terjadinya konflik horizontal yang berbasis pada agama. Fenomena demikian tidak lepas dari keberadaan FPI yang banyak menyita perhatian di kalangan masyarakat luas baik kalangan akdemik maupun masyarakat umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan; pertama, mengkonstruksi identitas FPI, kedua, konsep derivasi keagamaan yang dianut organisasi keagamaan FPI, dan, ketiga, yakni pembubaran FPI. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif berdasarkan sumber studi pustaka dan analisis wacana berdasarkan persepektif genealogi kekuasaan Michel Foucault. Data berupa teks yang diperoleh dari literatur ilmiah, seperti jurnal, tesis, skripsi, visual-video dan dokumen pendukung lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembubaran FPI tidak terlepas dari relasi kuasa ulama’ moderat dan pemerintah. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa FPI merupakan perwujudan dari gerakan organisasi yang cenderung ekstrem dalam pengamalan keagamaan. Implikasi teoritik dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagai upaya pengembangan kajian peran ulama dan umara’ dalam konteks sosial-keagamaan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Contemporary social problems require an integrative approach from various academic disciplines to achieve meaningful transformative solutions. This research aims to analyze the relevance of Kuntowijoyo's "Prophetic Social Science" concept to Arif Maftuhin's "Beyond the Rukhsah" concept within the context of Islamic scholarly paradigms concerning the empowerment of persons with disabilities. This study employs a literature research method with a comparative analysis approach to the primary works of Kuntowijoyo and Arif Maftuhin. The results demonstrate significant convergence between the three pillars of Prophetic Social Science—humanization, liberation, and transcendence—with the "Beyond the Rukhsah" paradigm that advocates for an azimah approach in disability jurisprudence, replacing the rukhsah (dispensation) paradigm that tends to be marginalizing. Humanization manifests in efforts to elevate the dignity of persons with disabilities as full subjects in the community, liberation is reflected in the redefinition of Islamic law that is more inclusive, while transcendence strengthens the foundation based on divine values. This research is expected to have implications for opening new epistemological paradigms that integrate empirical-transformative dimensions in Islamic studies, encouraging the formation of theoretical frameworks for the development of a more just, inclusive, and civilized society. ABSTRAK Problematika sosial kontemporer memerlukan pendekatan integratif dari berbagai disiplin keilmuan untuk mencapai solusi transformatif yang bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis relevansi gagasan "Ilmu Sosial Profetik" Kuntowijoyo terhadap konsep "Beyond the Rukhsah" Arif Maftuhin dalam konteks paradigma keilmuan Islam tentang pemberdayaan penyandang disabilitas. Kajian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan analisis komparatif terhadap karya-karya primer Kuntowijoyo dan Arif Maftuhin. Hasilnya menunjukkan konvergensi signifikan antara tiga pilar Ilmu Sosial Profetik—humanisasi, liberasi, dan transendensi—dengan paradigma "Beyond the Rukhsah" yang mengadvokasi pendekatan azimah dalam fikih disabilitas, menggantikan paradigma rukhsah (dispensasi) yang cenderung marginalisatif. Humanisasi termanifestasi dalam upaya mengangkat martabat penyandang disabilitas sebagai subjek penuh dalam komunitas, liberasi tercermin pada redefinisi hukum Islam yang lebih inklusif, sementara transendensi memperkuat landasan berbasis nilai ketuhanan. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines the tradition of the Bugis community in Soppeng Regency as a representation of Pancasila values in strengthening inter-religious harmony in the midst of Indonesia's multicultural society. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the philosophical meaning in the tradition and examine its relationship with the precepts of Pancasila, especially the First Precept (The One Godhead), the Third Precept (Indonesian Unity), and the Fifth Precept (Social Justice for All Indonesian People). This study uses a qualitative approach. The methods used included field observations, structured interviews with community leaders, and documentation analysis. The results of the study show that Menre' Bola Baru is not just a procession of moving houses, but a cultural ritual full of religiosity, mutual cooperation, and inclusive participation. Elements such as the reading of Barzanji, the Mappasili ceremony, and eating together strengthen social and spiritual solidarity between citizens, despite differences in status and beliefs. This tradition reflects the practice of Pancasila in a concrete way through togetherness, justice, and respect for diversity. Therefore, recommended preservation strategies include integration into education, revitalization through cultural tourism, government policy support, and the use of digital media. In conclusion, Menre' Bola Baru is an essential cultural heritage in strengthening national ideology and social cohesion, so synergy is needed between the community, educational institutions, and policy makers to maintain its existence in the modern era. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji tradisi Menre’ Bola Baru masyarakat Bugis di Kabupaten Soppeng sebagai representasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam memperkuat kerukunan antarumat beragama di tengah masyarakat multikultural Indonesia. Tujuan utama dari studi ini adalah menganalisis makna filosofis dalam tradisi tersebut serta menelaah keterkaitannya dengan sila-sila Pancasila, khususnya Sila Pertama (Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa), Sila Ketiga (Persatuan Indonesia), dan Sila Kelima (Keadilan Sosial bagi Seluruh Rakyat Indonesia). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif . Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapangan, wawancara terstruktur dengan tokoh masyarakat, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Menre’ Bola Baru bukan sekadar prosesi pindah rumah, melainkan sebuah ritual budaya yang sarat nilai religiusitas, gotong royong, dan partisipasi inklusif. Unsur-unsur seperti pembacaan Barzanji, upacara Mappasili, serta makan bersama memperkuat solidaritas sosial dan spiritual antarwarga, meski memiliki perbedaan status maupun keyakinan. Tradisi ini mencerminkan pengamalan Pancasila secara konkret melalui kebersamaan, keadilan, dan penghargaan atas keragaman. Oleh karena itu, strategi pelestarian yang direkomendasikan meliputi integrasi ke dalam pendidikan, revitalisasi melalui pariwisata budaya, dukungan kebijakan pemerintah, serta pemanfaatan media digital. Kesimpulannya, Menre’ Bola Baru merupakan warisan budaya yang esensial dalam memperkuat ideologi kebangsaan dan kohesi sosial, sehingga diperlukan sinergi antara masyarakat, lembaga pendidikan, dan pemangku kebijakan untuk menjaga eksistensinya di era modern.

Abstract

The phenomenon of child exploitation on social media shows an alarming escalation, especially when children—even infants—are actively involved in the production of digital content to attract public sympathy or financial gain. This study analyzes child exploitation practices through a netnographic approach, focusing on a viral case of an orphanage in Medan that exploited children for live streaming on TikTok to obtain donations. Through stages of investigation, interaction, immersion, and integration, this research evaluates audience responses, digital interaction dynamics, and the psychological impact on children. Findings indicate that this exploitation blurs the boundaries between private and public spaces in children's lives and normalizes the commodification of children in the digital economy. From an Islamic perspective, these actions contradict the ethical principles of parenting taught by the Prophet Muhammad, which emphasize love, protection of dignity, and the spiritual responsibility of parents. Thus, the prophetic values in parenting hadiths can serve as an ethical foundation for building fair, humane, and Islam-compliant digital parenting practices.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study explores the potential of gamelan music art in the context of being a spiritual medium, through the perspective of the philosophy of art, especially the thoughts of Sayyed Hossein Nasr. The purpose of this study is to reveal the position of Javanese Gamelan from the perspective of Islamic art from Sayyed Hossein Nasr, the spiritual and philosophical values ​​in Javanese Gamelan, and the relationship between traditional art and Islamic values. This study is a library research by collecting data from various literature sources. This study concludes, (1) in the classification of Sayyed Hossein Nasr's art, gamelan music art is included in the category of traditional art because gamelan has spiritual value and is indirectly related to religion. (2) Gamelan has spiritual value because it is used as a tool to perform rituals to get closer to God. (3) Art in Islamic civilization is formed on the basis of awareness of the oneness of God so that gamelan players and listeners reach a transcendental state, so that they feel they are at a higher stage of consciousness where their souls will feel close to their God. This research contributes to the discourse of Islamization of knowledge by offering an alternative paradigm in understanding art. In addition to being entertainment, Gamelan can be used as an object of Islamization of knowledge by being interpreted religiously symbolic and studied philosophically within the framework of monotheism. ABSTRAK Kajian ini menggali potensi seni musik gamelan dalam konteks sebagai sarana spiritual, melalui perspektif filosofi seni, khususnya pemikiran Sayyed Hossein Nasr. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkap posisi Gamelan Jawa perspektif seni Islam Sayyed Hossein Nasr, nilia-nilai spiritual dan filosofis dalam Gamelan Jawa, serta hubungan seni tradisional dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan atau library research dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber literatur. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan, (1) dalam klasifikasi seni Sayyed Hossein Nasr, seni musik gamelan termasuk dalam kategori seni tradisional karena gamelan memiliki nilai spiritual dan secara tidak langsung berhubungan dengan agama. (2) Gamelan memiliki nilai spiritual karena digunakan sebagai alat untuk melakukan ritual untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Tuhan. (3) Seni dalam peradaban Islam dibentuk atas dasar kesadaran akan keesaan Tuhan sehingga membuat pemain gamelan dan pendengar mencapai keadaan transendental, sehingga mereka merasakan berada di tahap kesadaran yang lebih tinggi yang mana jiwa mereka akan merasa dekat dengan Tuhannya. Penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap wacana Islamisasi ilmu dengan menawarkan paradigma alternatif dalam memahami seni. Selain sebagai hiburan, Gamelan bisa dijadikan sebagai objek Islamisasi ilmu dengan dimaknai secara religius simbolik dan dikaji secara filosofis dalam kerangka tauhid.
