Tulisan ini mencoba mengkaji kerukunan antar umat beragama dari sudut pandang filsafat perennial. Filsafat perennial di sini diposisikan bukan sebagai salah satu cabang filsafat, tetapi sebagai sebuah pendekatan yang sering dipakai dalam studi agama-agama. Dengan memakai pendekatan ini maka kemajemukan dalam masyarakat kita, terutama kemajemukan dalam beragama yang sering ditengarai menyimpan benih-benih konflik, dapat disikapi secara tepat karena yang akan dilihat bukanlah perbedaan-perbedaan yang selama ini menjadi kendala kerjasama antar umat beragama, tetapi yang dilihat adalah kesamaan-semaan yang dimiliki oleh semua agama. Pendekatan ini bukan melihat bentuk tetapi melihat substansi dari agama sebagai sesuatu yang permanen dalam setiap agama di dunia. Pendekatan ini juga akan memungkinkan munculnya platform yang sama dari kalangan pemeluk agama yang berbeda-beda sehingga kemajemukan itu bukan menjadi potensi bencana tetapi ia merupakan rahmat yang mendatangkan kesejahteraan.

This Article discusses about religious history of individual and how it effects to individual religious orientation, attitude and behavior. The discussion of this article based on a research finding of the same topic in one of state university in Yogyakarta, which focuses on how this religious history, orientation, attitude and behaviour pertains to different religious orientation of the student, namely liberal, fundamentalist and moderate orientation. It is ver y interesting when the writer finds out that in terms of religious orientation these three groups of the students prove the same type of religious orientation. And also for some aspects of religious life, the differences of them is not quite clear cut. These findings again prove that what we assume about them can not always be proved in the reality.

This study examines the mythology of Izanami Goddess and Izanagi God in Japanese Shinto religion and representations of Izanami Goddess and Izanagi God in the film Noragami Aragoto Adachitoka’s creation directed by Kotaro Tamura. This study is important because the story of Izanami Goddess and Izanagi God has never been adopted in modern scientific literature even though it has been listed in several anime in Japan. The research data was collected through documentation on the Kojiki and Nihonsoki books as well as capturing scenes of Noragami Aragoto films. Then analyzed using Christian Metz's language cinematography theory and Rudolf Otto's sacred theory. The results showed that firstly, based on the phenomenological perspective and sacrity from Rudolf Otto, Izanami Goddess and Izanagi God in Japanese Shinto mythology were the ancestors of the Mother and Father of the Gods and divine beings and played an active role in the creation of islands in Japan along with its contents. Secondly, in the Noragami Aragoto film, the perspective of cinematographic language Christian Metz, Izanami Goddess and Izanagi God are represented as mysteries of Father and Mother of Ebisu God (Hiruko) and Yaboku God (Awashima or Aha) with backgrounds that are very different from each other.Key Words: mythology, Shinto, Izanami, Izanagi, cinematographic language, and sacred.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengungkapkan secara diskriptif kritis tentang  nalar  ilmu  kalam  emansipatoris  deng an  meng gunakan pemikiran Masdar F. Mas’udi sebagai pemandu arah kajian dalam merumuskan “nalar ilmu kalam emansipatorisâ€. Dalam wacana ilmu kalam (akidah), kaum Muslim seringkali hanya berpegang pada warisan keilmuan Wasil Ibn ‘Atha’, Abu al-Hasan al-Asy’ari, Abu Mansur al- Maturidi, dan al-Ghazali untuk menyebut beberapa di antaranya. Nalar ilmu kalam mereka bersifat ideologis, yakni nalar ilmu kalam yang mulai memperhatikan aspek kemanusiaan, tetapi masih bersifat abstrak dan intelektualis, tidak substansial dan tidak mengacu secara langsung pada problem kemanusiaan yang dihadapi umat. Berdasar penelitian ini, rancang bangun kelimuan kalam perlu dirumuskan kembali dari nalar ilmu kalam tradisional kepada nalar ilmu kalam emansipatoris. Nalar ilmu kalam tradisional tersebut dinyatakan tidak relevan lantaran tidak mampu mengurai dan menjawab problem kehidupan dan sosial kemanusiaan, bahkan se balikny a ia hany a membela Tuhan dan menyucikan-Nya. Karena itu nalar ilmu kalam emansipatoris sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjawab dan mengurai problem kehidupan dan sosial manusia aktual saat ini.

Based on what accentuated by Max Scheler on axiological dimension, thisarticle seeks to explore what aspects discussed in the axiological values and therelevance of the values on interfaith initiatives. The ever-present issues of conflict,radicalization and religiously-motivated violence has led the idea on how toapproach some ways toward the alternative solution. The queries are what isaxiological dimension of values in Scheler’s perspective? and what is the relevanceof the values on interfaith realm in religious studies perspective? The study showsthat the axiological dimension consisting of the values that needed to be foundobjectively as the ethical basis for human interaction in everyday life. In Scheler’sview, human without values is absurd; one needs moral values in order to live ameaningful life. The essence of values is present with or without human’s practice.The relevance of the value is profound in interfaith realm since it forms humanidentity and determines peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths.

Keberadaan umat Islam di negara-negara Barat saat ini-seperti halnya di Jerman-berada pada posisi minoritas. Mereka datang dari berbagai negara yang mayoritas berpenduduk muslim dengan berbagai alasan dan latar belakang. Di antara alasan kaum muslimin datang ke Jerman adalah untuk mencari pekerjaan dan melanjutkan pendidikan, sedangkan latar belakang mereka ada yang berpendidikan ada juga yang tidak berpendidikan sama sekali. Adanya perbedaan alasan dan latar belakang tersebut serta beragamnya negara asal telah menyebabkan minoritas muslim di Jerman menghadapi berbagai masalah, baik secara internal maupun eksternal. Secara internal minoritas Muslim cenderung tidak bisa menyatukan visi gerakan karena sebagian besar masih berpegang dan berafiliasi pada idiologi dan aliran agama sesuai negara asal masing-masing. Secara eksternal, minoritas muslim menghadapi dilema antara keinginan untuk berintegrasi dan melakukan adaptasi dengan kelompok mayoritas dominan atau tetap mempertahankan identitas "keislamannya" beserta konsekuensi yang harus dipikulnya. Bila dilema tersebut tidak segera teratasi, maka peran minoritas Muslim akan selalu dinafikan.

There seem to be two ways to discover the nature of religious experience. One way is to appropriate the historical formulation of one religion, denomination, or school of religious thought. Another way is to start from mystical experience or Sufism.Such is the case with Sufism, the generally accepted name for Islamic mysticism. To approach its partial meaning we have to ask ourselves first, what mysticism means. That mysticism contains something mysterious, not to be reached by ordinar y means or by intellectual effort, is understood from the root common to the words mystic and myster y, the Greek myein, “to close the eyes”. Mysticism has been called “the great spiritual current which goes through all religions”. In its widest sense it may be defined as the consciousness of the One Reality – be it called Wisdom, Light, Love or Nothing.

Charles S. Peiece dikenal sebagai perintis dan tokoh utama filsafat pragmatisme, seorang ilmuwan praktisi. Ia melihat filsafat tradisional—empirisisme dan rasionalisme—hanya mengajukan teori-teori yang tertutup dan murni tentang arti, kebenaran dan alam semesta yang serba absolut. Filsafat tradisional tidak mencerahkan dan menutup jalan untuk diadakan penyelidikan dan tidak membawa kemajuan bagi filsafat maupun ilmu pengetahuan. Sebagai salah satu alternatif, Pierce mengajukan teori falsifikasi yang memungkinkan filsafat maupun ilmu pengetahuan selalu dinamis dan up to date.
