Abstract

This study was aimed at seeking out the roles of library and archives bureau of Kalimantan Selatan Province in post-flood disaster mitigation in 2021. This was a qualitative descriptive study which employed three different techniques to collect the data covering interview, observation and documentation. In analyzing the data,  the researcher took three main stages namely reducing, displaying and drawing conclusions as in Miles and Huberman’s model. The data finding revealed that the respective Dispersip Kalsel took significant roles in post-flood disaster mitigation in 2021. Accordingly, the findings showed two important stages of disaster mitigation which were during- and post-flood events.  During the flood, the bureau provided information relevant to a service availability in which limited access could only be made at Tendean Library. Besides, they also made an ease of users/members who were in loans as well. In addition, they distributed and lended books at some shelters, islamic boarding schools, and jails. They also  provided trauma-healing treatments among the adults and kids by inviting some amusing characters and costumes, playing, singing and story-telling. Not  only that, the bureau also sent some logistic needs, praying stuffs, some piles of sand to build musholla, and some gifts for the kids in their shelters. Furthermore, they collaborated with BNBP, TNI, Social Bureau, Governor and President in distributing needs at DispersipPeduli. The bureau promoted widely the information, services, and experiences throughout social medias.   Meanwhile, in the post-flood event mitigation, the bureau conducted a preservation jobs by repairing their collections, buildings and equipment affected by the flood. Other than that, they intended to develop a mutual collaboration and promotion regarding the disaster preparedness issues in the form of socialization and training with the National Archive Bureau.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of university library performance, service quality, and leadership support on user satisfaction at the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra. This study employs a sample of 380 students from nine faculties with data analysis techniques using SmartPLS. The study results prove that library performance, service quality, and leadership support significantly influence library user satisfaction. Service quality is an essential predictor of library user satisfaction. The leadership support becomes a quasi-moderation that strengthens library performance, service quality, and library user satisfaction. Consequently, users are satisfied with the services provided by the UMSU library and will help decision-makers to provide more support for library management in the future. The authenticity of this study provides knowledge about UMSU library's strategies in comprehensively using library performance indicators and service quality to increase user satisfaction and support the implementation of MBKM.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the citation of thesis students of the law study program at Lancang Kuning University and the law study program at the Islamic University of Riau. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a literature study approach. The results showed that there were 14 types of regulations used by Lancang Kuning University students and 19 types of regulations that were most widely used by law study program students at the Islamic University of Riau. The type of citation most widely used by these two universities is the law with the use of almost all of it in part with a total of 48.98% carried out by students of the Lancang Kuning University law study program and mostly used by students of the law study program at the Islamic University of Riau with a total of 60.87%. The most widely used type of law is law. No. 8 of 1981 concerning Criminal Procedure Code by Lancang Kuning University and the Civil Code by the Islamic University of Riau. The most widely used citation year at the two universities was in the range of 2000 to 2010.

Abstract

Keterampilan literasi informasi sangat penting bagi mahasiswa yang ada di zaman informasi. Salah satu tantangan yang terjadi di abad informasi dan plagiarisme. Literasi informasi dipercaya dapat mereduksi praktek plagiarisme yang terjadi di berbagai universitas. Kajian ini merupakan kajian deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan survei terhadap 331 mahasiswa fakultas ilmu Pendidikan. Empat pertanyaan yang menjadi pertanyaan riset kajian ini adalah (1) apakah literasi informasi berdampak pada pemahaman mahasiswa akan plagairisme? (2) Seberapa seriuskah plagiarisme dipahami oleh mahasiswa? (3) Apakah pelatihan literasi informasi berdampak pada sikap dan tingkah laku mahasiswa terhadap plagiarisme, dan (4) Apakah pelatihan literasi menambah keterampilan mahasiswa menggunakan aplikasi pengelola referensi di dalam tulisan? Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ada dampak signifikan tentang pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap plagiarisme. Hasil lain menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menganggap plagiarisme sebagai masalah yang serius, namun dampak terhadap tingkah laku mereka untuk menghindari plagiarisme masih harus dikembangkan. Selain itu diperoleh juga hasil kajian yang menunjukkan dampak yang signifikan pelatihan literasi informasi pada penggunaan manajer referensi pasca pelatihan. Kajian ini bermanfaat untuk menguatkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan manfaat langsung pelatihan literasi informasi untuk membangun persepsi positif mahasiswa terhadap plagiarisme.

Abstract

The culture of literacy is currently being promoted massively because of its potential in building the quality of the nation. Literacy does not grow by itself, it needs support such as libraries that provides sources of information, therefore there is a role carried out by libraries in supporting literacy. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the Rosella Genematrik Library, obstacles, efforts to hdanling literacy problems in children in the North Pontianak, especially in Siantan Tengah. The research used qualitative methods with data collection techniques such as observations dan in-depth interviews with 6 informants, dan documentation. Data analysis techniques using reduction, presentation, dan then drawing conclusions. Data validity tests using triangulation. The results showed that the Rosella Genematrik Library acts as a source of information, a non- formal educational institution, as well as a facilitator, mediator dan motivator. The role of libraries in improving children's literacy has not been fully realized due to several obstacles such as human resources, insufficient medium, dan the attention dan interest of the surrounding community. The efforts made to alleviate the existing problems are to provide comfort dan satisfaction in finding the information they need dan promoting them to the local community.Keywords: Literacy, library role, reading culture

Abstract

The digital era is marked by the shift of mechanical and analog technology to digital technology. This transfer of technology has caused the millennial generation to understand the values of cultural conservation, including the way of thinking and acting, especially for the millennial generation who must have digital literacy competencies, namely the ability to access, manage, understand, integrate, communicate, evaluate, and create information. safely and appropriately through digital literature. Digital literacy can increase individual focus and concentration. Increase individual abilities in reading, composing sentences and writing information. Digital literacy challenges Digital literacy has at least two challenges that must be faced. This challenge can be overcome by implementing digital literacy in every use of technology. The term millennials or millennials, the millennial generation, is the gadget people. In fact, Gadgets are better defined as a group of individuals who every day and every problem is solved with Gadget equipment. So the Gadget generation is meant as a generation whose life is always in contact with equipment that contains information elements. Don't know valid information or good sources, as long as it's resolved that's part of the solution taken. So, these tools have become a part of life that cannot be separated at all. Many of us still don't understand the meaning of conservation. Conservation is not just a beautiful park, green environment, or orderly vehicles. In the context of a Conservation University, the meaning of conservation is understood in a broader scope. Conservation is interpreted as an effort to protect, preserve, and use in a sustainable manner. The objects include nature, environment, and culture. So the formulation of the problem is how is digital literacy practice for the millennial generation in understanding the values of cultural conservation? What is the impact of digital literacy on the millennial generation in understanding the values of cultural conservation? In this study, using a continuous descriptive research methodology (continuity description) which has the characteristics of qualitative research. What is meant by continuity description research is descriptive research work carried out continuously on an object of research.Keywords: Digital Literacy, Cultural Conservation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain how the digital library of UIN Alauddin Makassar and its development focuses on developing digital collections and analyzing the constraints and challenges faced by the UIN Alauddin Makassar university library. Digital library development. This study uses a qualitative descriptive case study with the stages of observation, interviews, and documentation as research tools. Through this research, we obtained results that show the development of the digital library of UIN Alauddin Makassar. It can be concluded that the Library Center has made or experienced significant progress. This can be seen from the availability of collection data, types of collections and digital library application management systems.

Abstract

This research is motivated by advances in technology and knowledge that require libraries to keep up with the times. Library promotion is needed to introduce collections, services, and available facilities that can be used optimally. The promotion of libraries through social media is currently the best choice for libraries in providing information quickly and effectively. One of the most popular social media at the college level is Instagram. This study aims to determine whether the promotion of libraries through social media Instagram on the use of libraries at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta Library. The problems studied were about library promotion using AISAS (Attention, Interest, Search, Action, and Share) aspects. The research was conducted on visitors to the Surakarta Muhammadiyah University Library. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis as a statistical tool IBM SPSS Statistic 22 Software. The sampling technique in this study uses an incidental sampling technique with a sample of 100 respondents. The results showed that library promotion through social media Instagram had an average value of 3.46 while library utilization had an average value of 3.66. Both variables have values that are on a scale of 3.43 – 4.23 which means high. The correlation result obtained is 0.642 which has a positive relationship between the variable x library promotion through social media Instagram and the variable y using a strong library. The result of the calculation of the correlation between the variables x and y is 0.642 the value of the variable in the coefficient interval is 0.60 - 0.799 which means it is strong. The conclusion obtained from the research on library promotion through Instagram social media on library utilization, namely library promotion through Instagram social media has an influence on library utilization at the Muhammadiyah University Surakarta Library.Keywords: Library Promotion, AISAS Aspects, Social Media, Instagram, Library Utilization

Abstract

A penghulu has a position or role that is unusual or even very important in all stages of implementing the village government towards the welfare of its citizens. The existence of a penghulu is one of the most respected and respected individuals in the community. In the library, the lord of the kadi or the Penghulu has a big role in the progress of libraries based on social inclusion. Libraries based on social inclusion are included in one of the approaches to assist in services provided by libraries that have the principle of improving the quality of life and the welfare of its citizens in society. This study has a goal in the study, namely to explore the position of the penghulu in terms of improving Bintang Cemerlang library services based on social inclusion. The type of research used in this study is research with a qualitative approach using qualitative descriptive methods. The qualitative descriptive method was used to examine the actual (natural) state of the object in the Maredan Barat Village area, Tualang District, Siak Regency. The method used in collecting information in this study is in the form of documentation, observation, and interviews. The way to analyze the information in this study is in the form of a technique that analyzes the data qualitatively. The conclusion from this study shows that the role of the penghulu in improving Bintang Cemerlang library services based on social inclusion in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency has been carried out optimally. This matter can be reviewed in the sub-focus of motivator, facilitator, and mobilizer. In this sub-focus, the penghulu seeks to motivate the community through improving library facilities and infrastructure, as well as facilitating the library staff and the community to participate in the training provided. Penghulu participates in mobilizing the community to participate in improving library services.

Abstract

Penelitian bibliometrik ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola distribusi artikel, pola kepenulisan, jumlah halaman, angka sitasi, dan visualisasi pada Jurnal Pustakaloka yang terbit pada periode 2017-2021. Data dikumpulkan dari laman jurnal Pustakaloka dan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi Ms. Excel, Publish or Perish (PoP), Mendeley, dan VosViewer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jurnal Pustakaloka terbit dua kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan Juni dan Desember, dengan total 85 artikel yang diterbitkan oleh penulis tunggal maupun kolaboratif. Terdapat 48 artikel (56,47%) yang ditulis oleh penulis tunggal dan 37 artikel (43,53%) yang ditulis secara kolaboratif. Selama periode 2017-2021, terdapat 130 penulis yang berkontribusi pada jurnal tersebut. Pada tahun 2019, 20 artikel dengan jumlah penulis terbanyak yaitu 33 orang (25,38%) telah diterbitkan. Distribusi artikel antara 2019-2021 menunjukkan bahwa 45 artikel (52,9%) terbit pada edisi Juni dan 40 artikel (47,06%) terbit pada edisi Desember, dengan total 1.446 halaman dan rata-rata 17 halaman per artikel. Jurnal ini menerima 206 sitasi selama periode tersebut, dengan angka sitasi pertahun sebesar 41,20, angka sitasi per artikel sejumlah 2,42, h-index 6, g-index 11, hI,norm 6, dan hI,annual 1,20, serta hA-index 4. Adapun terkait kekuatan jaringan antar penulis, kata kunci serta frekuensi kolaborasi dapat dilihat melalui tampilan gambar hasil visualisasi VosViewer.
