Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of critical thinking skills of grade X students which is applied using the POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) learning model assisted by the Instagram application on environmental change material. The research was carried out at SMAN 1 Susukan using an experimental method with a research design in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling using a simple random sampling technique with a sample size of 64 students. The data collection technique was in the form of a reasoned multiple-choice test with a total of 30 questions used to analyze students' critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique consisted of the N-Gain test and statistical tests in the form of normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the results of the N-Gain in the experimental class and control class were included in the medium category with values of 0.57 and 0.43. The highest N-Gain value in the experimental class and control class is found in the KBK 2 indicator (analysis) of 0.68 and 0.42 The lowest N-Gain value is found in the KBK 4 indicator (inference) of 0.41 and 0.33. The application of the Instagram-assisted POE learning model can improve critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of the Project-Based Learning theme Blue My Sky is Healthy My Earth to increase environmental literacy. The research carried out was quasi-experimental quantitative research using statistical tests on numerical data. The overall N-gain value of environmental literacy in the experimental class that uses the Project-Based Learning model is 0.76. From the research results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis test value from the data results is fulfilled, namely, tcount 5.657 > ttable 2.012 so there is a difference in increasing environmental literacy between students who receive the Project-Based Learning model and the conventional learning model. The category of increasing environmental literacy is high. The value of each environmental literacy indicator is 0.73 for the ecological knowledge indicator in the high category, 0.81 for the environmental skills indicator in the high category, and 0.75 for the attitude towards the environment indicator in the high category.

The type of research conducted is R&D research with the chosen development model being the 4-D development model. The research sample used was two expert lecturers as product assessors and 25 students as samples whose perceptions were measured. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with the instruments used were student needs questionnaires, material validation, media validation, and student perceptions. Data analysis for the questionnaire is descriptive statistics, while for instrument validation data using reliability and validity tests. The results of the data obtained indicate that the product is feasible to use and can be accessed using a mobile phone via the link provided by the author, while the perception of the electronic module obtained shows a very good perception. Thus, this module is considered feasible and ready to be used to assist students in understanding the multiple integral materials.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of using Google Sites in improving high school students' mastery of physics concepts. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which used Google Sites, and the control class, which used conventional methods. Data was collected through concept mastery tests given before and after treatment. The research results showed that the experimental class's average posttest mastery of concepts was higher than in the control class. The independent t-test indicated a significant difference in the pretest-posttest difference between the two classes. The n-gain calculation shows that the experimental class is quite effective, while the control class is in the ineffective category. This research concludes that using Google Sites in physics learning effectively increases students' mastery of concepts. It is recommended that these media be optimized in the learning process by providing tutorials on using them before learning begins and preparing practical tools and materials well. Optimizing Google Sites can support a more effective and efficient learning process and significantly improve student learning outcomes.
