Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the mathematical reasoning ability taught by the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) model with a contextual approach is better than the direct learning model, to determine the students' KKM achievement in mathematical reasoning abilities taught using the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) model with a contextual approach. , and to find out students' interest in learning when the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) learning model with a contextual approach was applied to social arithmetic material for class VII. The population in this study were seventh grade students of SMPN 10 Singkawang and the samples in this study were Grade VII A and VII B students. The analysis technique was in the form of two sample t-test, right-hand t-test, right-hand z-test one sample, and the percentage of interest in learning. The results of the research are that the mathematical reasoning ability using the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) model with a contextual approach is better than the direct learning model, students' mathematical reasoning abilities have reached the KKM and students' interest in learning is high.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme, karakter kreatif belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS), dan korelasi antara karakter kreatif belajar dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Pemangkat pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII B. Jenis dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Experimental pada bentuk The Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: a) penggunaan model SSCS dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme lebih meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dibandingkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; b) model SSCS dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme dapat terlaksana dengan baik; c) penggunaan model SSCS dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme menghasilkan karakter kreatif siswa yang tinggi; dan d) hubungan antara karakter kreatif dan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah menjadi lebih terlihat setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran SSCS dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme.

Abstract

This research aims; (1) to describe the difference in increasing students' mathematical procedural abilities between those using the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model and the direct learning model on integer material; (2) to describe the influence of the CPS on students' mathematical procedural abilities on integer material; (3) to describe students' high motivation to learn through the CPS on integer material. This type of research is a Quasi-Experimental Design with research design The Non-equivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. Samples were taken by the saturated sampling technique. The sample consists of two classes, namely class VIIA as the control class and class VIIB as the experimental class. Based on the analysis results, it is concluded that; (1) there is a difference in improvement between the experimental class and the control class. The T-Two Independent Samples test evidences this, it is found that there are differences in the mathematical improvement of the experimental class students and the control class students; (2) the influence of the CPS model on students' mathematical procedural abilities. The value of Effect Size is 6.0 which is in the significant criteria; (3) students' learning motivation taught by the CPS is high.

Abstract

The problems faced by partners are related to the implementation mechanism or product diversification process, related to the knowledge and skills of Kastaman Bidai craftsmen's creativity is still low. An effort is needed to overcome the problems faced by Kastaman Bidai UMKM partners.  STKIP Singkawang through the Product Diversification Program and E-Commerce optimization as an effort to escalate sales and business competitiveness to Kastaman Bidai UMKM. Implementation method by providing training and assistance in the form of preparing digital financial reports, diversifying bidai products, marketing and digital advertising of bidai products. Abstract

ABK (children with special needs) who are introverted, shy towards themselves, their self-confidence is still low and there are no ongoing activities to develop soft skills (skills). The purpose of this service activity can make ABK open themselves to a new environment, can increase the confidence of ABK, and form a sustainable hydroponic vegetable cultivation program to improve the skills of ABK through planting vegetables with hydroponic techniques. Method This program is realized through the SPP method (socialization, training and mentoring), namely through direct practice in the field. The method of implementing this program is described in the stages of implementing field activities which include preparation of the program implementing team, outreach to the program, preparation of equipment and tools, formation of activity groups, introduction to activities, creation of hydroponic media, practice of cultivating vegetables with hydroponic techniques, monitoring and evaluation of implementation. activity program. Results of activities the percentage of student responses from self-confidence questionnaires through hydroponic cultivation shows that most ABK (Children with Special Needs) in Singkawang State SLB have self-confidence with a percentage of 87.80% (Very good). From the observation table above, it was obtained that the average percentage of ABK soft skills in hydroponic farming was 93% in the very good category. While the average percentage of ABK's soft skills that are still unable to practice is 7% with a very low category.

Abstract

This study aims to develop LKS based on a contextual approach that meets the criteria of valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical communication skills in class VII junior high school statistics material. The validity analysis is based on data from the LKS validation results by validators, the practicality analysis is based on data from student and teacher response questionnaires and observations of learning implementation, and the effectiveness analysis is based on data from student mathematical communication ability test results. The LKS development model refers to the 4-D model (Four D Model) which is modified without using the Desseminate stage into a 3-D model (Three D Model) namely Define, Design, and Develop and using the One Group Pre-test Post-test Design research design. The research subjects were VII grade students of SMP Torsina II Singkawang, namely 1 experimental class totaling 34 students. The results of the research obtained are 1) The results of the LKS validation by the validator show an average score of 4.17 with good criteria, which means that the LKS meets the valid criteria. 2) The results of the student response questionnaire show an average percentage of 94% with very good criteria, the results of the teacher response questionnaire show an average percentage of 88% with very good criteria, and the observation of learning implementation shows an average percentage of 96% with very good criteria, which means that the LKS meets practical criteria. 3) The results of the mathematical communication ability test showed that the students who reached the 70 KKM score individually were 29 students out of 34 students and the proportion of students reaching the KKM classically was 75%, which means that the LKS meets the effective criteria.

Abstract

The thinking process is a cognitive development that occurs in the minds of students by involving new knowledge and problems that occur related to geometry concepts to solve problems or find solutions to the problems presented. This study aims to study and describe comprehensively the thinking process of students in solving geometry problems based on Harel theory in the design of Malay traditional houses. This research method is qualitative research with a case study design. Furthermore, the data collection used is observation, tests and interviews. Then for data analysis carried out is reflective analysis with data trustworthiness using the triangulation method. Thefindings in the research  of students' thinking processes in solving geometry in the design of Malay traditional houses are the core category / central phenomenon built or constructed by three themes which include mental act, ways of thinking and ways of understanding. Ageometric spec on the design components of West Kalimantan Malay traditional houses includes rectangles, triangles, squares, parallelograms, semicircles,  isosceles triangles, right triangles, rhombuses, and trapeziums. The findings in this study need to be implemented in mathematics learning design, which relates to students' experiences in everyday life that touch the realm of local cultural arts so that students become more understanding of the geometry concepts explained so that they can dig deeper into mental acts,  ways of thinking and ways of understanding in  order to foster various student thought processes in  Solve mathematics problems

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using a problem based learning model assisted by animated videos on learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SDN 82 Singkawang. The type of research is quantitative with a quasi experimental method. This research design uses a nonequivalent comparison-group design. The research population was all fourth grade students at SDN 82 Singkawang using a non-random sampling technique. Research results: (1) There are differences in students' science learning outcomes between experimental classes 1 and 2 which were calculated using the t test with tcount>ttable, namely 6.806 > 2.00; (2) The problem based learning model assisted by animated videos has a high influence on cognitive learning outcomes in science learning of 2.154 (high criteria). (3) Improvement of the problem based learning model assisted by animated videos on students' cognitive learning outcomes is in the medium category. This can be seen from the calculation results which show a result of 0.43. So it can be concluded that the problem based learning model assisted by animated videos has a significant influence on learning outcomes in the cognitive domain.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dalam bentuk pelatihan penggunaan software Geogebra Bagi Siswa SMP Negeri 20 Singkawang dilakukan oleh Tim PKM sebanyak 7 orang dosen dan 4 orang mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Matematika Institut Sains dan Bisnis Internasional Singkawang. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti PKM ini sebanyak 25 orang siswa SMP Negeri 20 Signkawang. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemampuan dan keterampilan siswa melalui pengunaan dan pemanfaatan software Geogebra dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan, presentasi, demostrasi, praktik dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan ini disimpulkan bahwa siswa mampu memahami materi yang disajikan. Siswa dapat memahami pengenalan aplikasi geogebra pada pembelajaran matematika pada kriteria baik, respon siswa terhadap kegiatan juga berada paka kriteria baik, dan hasil proyek mini siswa mendapatkan hasil baik sekali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran GDL terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi koordinat kartesius. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Selakau Timur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimental dengan rancangannya adalah The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Grup Desaign yang memfokuskan untuk mengetahui kemampuan refresentasi matematis berdasarkan hasil Posttest pada kelas eksperimen setelah dikenakan model guided discovery learning dan pada kelas kontrol setelah dikenakan model pembelajaran langsung serta sample diambil dengan teknik simple rendom sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa antara kelas yang diterapkan model pembelajaran GDL dengan model pembelajaran langsung pada materi koordinat kartesius; (2) Aktivitas belajar siswa yang diajarkan model GDL sangat aktif; (3) Motivasi siswa tergolong tinggi terhadap pembelajaran matematikan dengan menggunakan model GDL.
