Abstract

Kepemimpinan demokratis kepala madrasah merupakan faktor strategis dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan Islam, namun implementasinya di lapangan masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kepemimpinan demokratis kepala madrasah, mencakup pola pengambilan keputusan partisipatif, mekanisme komunikasi organisasi, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja guru dan iklim madrasah. Metode yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review (SLR) dengan protokol PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) dari Moher et al. (2009). Pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui Google Scholar dengan rentang tahun 2022–2026, menghasilkan 6 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dari 37 artikel teridentifikasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik thematic synthesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kepemimpinan demokratis termanifestasi secara konsisten dalam dua dimensi utama, yaitu pengambilan keputusan partisipatif berbasis syura dan komunikasi organisasi yang terbuka dan berbasis kepercayaan. Kepemimpinan demokratis terbukti berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 39% dan menciptakan iklim madrasah yang kolaboratif. Faktor pendukung utama meliputi komitmen filosofis berbasis Islamic Worldview, budaya organisasi partisipatif, dan dukungan kelembagaan yang solid, sedangkan hambatan utama berupa resistensi budaya hirarkis, keterbatasan kapasitas, dan faktor kontekstual-struktural. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan kepemimpinan demokratis kepala madrasah memerlukan penguatan kapasitas manajerial sekaligus filosofis-teologis yang berakar pada nilai-nilai Islam

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions face complex challenges in the contemporary era, including globalization, digitalization, and technological disruption. Traditional linear management approaches are inadequate to address this complexity. This study explores systems thinking as a holistic and integrative approach aligned with Islamic philosophy, particularly the concept of tawhid. Using an analytical-descriptive literature review method, this research examines how systems thinking can be applied in planning, organizing, controlling, and utilizing educational systems in Islamic education management. The study integrates Western systems theories (Bertalanffy's General Systems Theory, Senge's Learning Organization, and Kim's Systems Archetypes) with Islamic epistemology. Findings indicate that systems thinking is highly relevant and compatible with Islamic educational philosophy, offering practical frameworks such as Causal Loop Diagrams, Balanced Scorecards, and Management Information Systems. The application of systems thinking can enhance the sustainability and quality of Islamic educational institutions. This research contributes to enriching the literature on Islamic education management by providing an integrative conceptual framework combining systems thinking with Islamic values..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of public relations management courses on the communication competence of Islamic Education Management students of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. A quantitative approach is used by collecting data through a questionnaire through a Google Form that has been validated by experts. The sample consisted of 92 students of the class of 2023 from a population of 125, determined based on the Krejcie and Morgan tables for proportional representation. The analysis was performed with Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS, including convergent validity tests (outer loading >0.70, AVE >0.50), reliability (Cronbach's Alpha >0.70), and bootstrapping for path coefficients, T-statistics, and R-squares. The results of the data analysis found that the Public Relations Management and Public Relations course had a positive and significant effect on communication competence with a path coefficient of 0.817, T-statistics of 19.319 (p<0.001), and R-square of 0.668. Therefore, this course is effective in shaping students' communication competencies through applied learning.

Abstract

Improving the quality of early childhood education requires professional and collaborative institutional management, particularly through strengthening the role of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) principals. The Raudhatul Athfal Working Group (Kelompok Kerja Raudhatul Athfal/KKRA) serves as a strategic forum for the professional development of RA principals in enhancing the quality of educational management and services. This study aims to explain the concept and functions of educational working groups, describe the ideal design of working groups for improving educational quality, and analyze the implementation and evaluation of the working group design in the KKRA of Purwakarta Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of KKRA administrators, RA principals, and RA educators selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the KKRA of Purwakarta Regency has a relatively effective working group design, characterized by a participatory organizational structure, democratic leadership, needs-based work programs, and open communication. The implementation of KKRA programs contributes positively to the improvement of RA principals' competencies, the strengthening of institutional management, and innovation in educational governance. However, several challenges remain, including limited funding, time constraints, and varying levels of member participation. This study concludes that a well-planned, collaborative, and sustainable working group design is a key factor in improving the quality of RA education.

Abstract

This study is aims to anakyze the impact of social media usage on student’s religious character in the digital era. Rapid advancements in digital technology have transformed patterns of social interaction, particularly among children. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing data collection such as questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The findings indicate that social media usage has both positive and negative effects on student’s religious character. Positive impact are evident in the ease of maintaining social connections and accessing virtuos values. However negative impacts tend to be more pronounced in the absence of parental supervision, these include a decline in politeness (specifically regarding language etiquette), device addiction individualism, and exposure to content inconsistent with religious and social norms. Therefore, the active role of parent and early digital literacy are crucial in safeguarding children’s moral against the adverse effects of social media

Abstract

This study aims to analyze principals' managerial competence in implementing National Education Standards from a performance-based assessment perspective. This article employs a Systematic Literature Review method by examining relevant scientific publications related to school leadership, principals' managerial competence, education quality standards, and performance assessment. The findings indicate that principals' managerial competence plays a strategic role in achieving national education standards through data-driven planning, resource management, quality culture development, and continuous evaluation. The novelty of this study lies in integrating performance-based assessment as an approach to evaluating principals' managerial competence beyond administrative performance toward transformational school improvement. The study provides implications for strengthening professional development programs and educational quality policies

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes in various sectors, including education. One form of transformation that has emerged is the digitalization of educational management information systems, which support administrative management, data processing, and decision-making in educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the digitalization of educational management information systems and its implications for educational quality in the digital era. This research employed a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive approach by examining 20 scientific journals, electronic books, and relevant academic documents. The findings indicate that the digitalization of educational management information systems contributes positively to improving administrative efficiency, data accuracy, academic service quality, and the effectiveness of data-based decision-making. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including limited infrastructure, low digital literacy among human resources, and data security issues. Thus, the digitalization of educational management information systems contributes significantly to improving educational quality in the digital era and supports more adaptive and effective educational governance.
