Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada Mata Kuliah Kimia Dasar melalui Implementasi Lesson Study. Sampel yang digunakan adalah satu kelas dengan melibatkan mahasiswa dari empat program studi yaitu program studi Pendidikan Kimia, Pendidikan Biologi, Pendidikan Fisika dan Pendidikan Matematika. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus, dan setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu tahap perencanaan (plan), Tahap pelaksanaan (do) dan tahap refleksi (see). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan tes. Untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan yaitu keterampilan pokok uji, penyusunan pokok uji dan pemberian skor pokok uji keterampilan proses sains. Untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir mahasiswa digunakan instrumen dengan melibatkan enam indikator, yaitu kemampuan bertanya, kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan, kemampuan menerapkan konsep dengan baik, kemampuan menganalisa, kemampuan memberikan penjelasan dan membuat kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) metode demonstrasi melalui implementasi Lesson Study dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil siklus I yaitu 62,52%, meningkat menjadi 70,66% pada siklus II dan meningkat menjadi 77,45% pada siklus III. (2) metode demonstrasi melalui implementasi Lesson Study dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil siklus I yaitu 56,74%, meningkat menjadi 63,78% pada siklus II dan meningkat menjadi 75,7% pada siklus III. Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, berpikir kritis, metode demonstrasi, lesson study

Abstract

The research on “Light and Optics” using cooperative learning model types of STAD based audio visual media was conducted. This study aims to find out students 'improvement, motivation and student’s achievments, student’s and techer’s activities on STAD based audio visual media. This research used classaction-research design with 2 cycles. Subjects were students of eighth grade of Junior High School 2 Tanta. Totally, there were 19 students involved on this study. Data was collected by using achievement test, questionnaires, and observations. Subsequently, data were analyzed by using qualitative descriptive technique. The result showed that by using “STAD based audio visual media, student’s achievments on Light and Optics increased from 84,21%  on the first cycle to 89,47% on the second cycle. Student’s motivation and activities increased from good category  on the first cycle to very good category on the second cycle.Key words: Cooperative learning model types of STAD, audio visual media, light and optics.

Abstract

Mangrove sediment is a habitat for various bacteria, one of them is amylolytic bacteria which has the potential to produce amylase enzyme. Amylase enzyme has many benefits in industry, textiles and medical. The mangrove ecosystem area has special soil characteristics, which have the opportunity to have microorganism diversity, one of which is the mangrove ecosystem in the Wonorejo region, Surabaya. This study aims to obtain potential amylolytic bacteria from potential amylolytic isolates derived from mangrove sediment. Soil bacteria were isolated in Starch media for 2% agar and tested with Lugol’s Iodine reagents to measure their amylolytic index. Character isolates observed included colony morphology, Gram staining, and motility. Of the 27 isolates found there were 3 isolates with the highest index values in their activity, namely isolates A.7, A.27 and A.64. Characterization results showed that isolates A.7 and A.64 were Gram negative bacteria, and isolates A.27 were Gram positive bacteria. And the motility results for the three isolates were negative, with the results of a positive catalase test.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Has made the development of interactive multimedia instructional media materials colloidal systems. The purpose of this is to facilitate the development of teachers teaching with the use of interactive multimedia instructional media materials colloidal systems. This development is done in class XI IPA 1 SMAN 8 Banjarmasin academic year 2012/2013 which consisted of 12 students as the test sample and the small group of 33 students of class XI IPA 1 SMA PGRI 4 Banjarmasin academic year 2012/2013 as a limited field test sample . Data collection techniques using achievement test techniques, observations, and questionnaires. The test results obtained ahl media iterhadap average of 83.33 including excellent category, student learning outcomes test kecil71 group, 67% in both categories, 80.69% limited field test with the category very well and the average response of students to the test group 43.25 is very good small category and limited field tests 44.18 very good category. That is, the students gave a positive response. This shows an interactive multimedia instructional media can facilitate the learning process in the colloidal system material. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to improve the activity and results of students of class IX-A SMPN 3 Paringin, materials with curved side to use the media in cooperative learning of Jigsaw. The research method used was classroom action research that consists of four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were students of class IX-A SMPN 3 Paringin the academic year 2013/2014, totaling 17 people. Data collected through observation sheet to determine the learning activities in class and test instruments to determine the level of understanding / student learning outcomes. This study was conducted in two cycles and at every meeting ends with the execution of tests that can be known whether there is an increase in activity and student learning outcomes with curved side material in math. Research says that the jigsaw cooperative learning model can (1) increase the activity of students with active category, (2) Improve student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2 with individual completeness of 7 students to 15 students. Based on these results indicate that by using the media in cooperative learning jigsaw can enhance the activity adan learning outcomes of students of class IX-A SMPN 3 Paringin so it can be used as an alternative model of learning mathematics and can be recommended to teachers to implement cooperative learning jigsaw for can enhance students' understanding of mathematics.Keywords: Jigsaw, activity and learning outcomes

Abstract

Pendidikan abad ke-21, menjamin perserta didik memilikiketerampilan berpikir kritis. Pengembangan produk berupa bahan ajarmemiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir kritis siswa. Bahanajar diharapkan mudah digunakan dan efektif dalam mencapai hasil belajar.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar tumbuhan mangrof danmendeskripsikan keefektifan bahan ajar yang digunakan untuk melatihkanketerampilan berfikir kritis siswa.. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalahmodel evaluasi formatif dari Tessmer (1993). Subjek penelitian meliputi limaorang siswa kelas X ATP untuk uji kecil dan lima belas siswa kelas X ATPuntuk uji lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik deskriptif danketegorisasi. Hasil keefektivan harapan pada uji kecil mencapai rata-rata nilaipretest tanpa menggunakan bahan ajar tumbuhan mangrove adalah 20 dansetelah pengajaran dengan menggunakan tumbuhan mangrove (posttest)didapat rata-rata 78,08. Keefektivan aktual pada uji lapangan didapat nilai Ngain merumuskan masalah 0,84 dengan kategori tinggi, merumuskan hipotesis0,83 berkategori tinggi, mengumpulkan data 0,74 berkategori tinggi, analisisdata dengan nilai rata-rata 0,73 kategori tinggi, dan kesimpulan 0,79berkategori tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Bahan ajar yangdikembangkan efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikirkritis siswa karena dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar rata-rata 58,08.

Abstract

Abstract: Has done research on the use of CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting & Extending) learning model assisted mind mapping on the material salt hydrolysis student of class XI MIA 3 SMAN 6 Banjarmasin which aims to determine (1) the activities of teachers; (2) the activites of students; (3) improving student learning outcomes; and (4) the response of students to learning. The research design was used classroom action research with 2 cycles with completely four meeting. Each cycle consists 4 stages of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subjects were 38 students of class XI MIA 3 SMAN 6 Banjarmasin. Data were collected through observation, and achievement test. Data The results showed that: (1) an increase in activity of the teachers in the first cycle is 3,37 with category good enough to 4,20 with category good in the second cycle; (2) an increase in activity of students from average in the first cycle is 3,38 with category active enough, in the second cycle to 4,20 with category active; (3) an increase in students cognitive aspec from 65,09 with predicate less and The percentage of students that have pas is 63,16% in the first cycle to 79,65 with predicate medium and teh percentage of students that have pass is 81,58% in the second cycle. Outcomes of students affective increase from the average in the first cycle is 2,52 with category good enough to 14,97 in the second cycle with category good. Outcomes of students skill increase from average in the first cycle is 67,95 with predicate less competent to 83,7 with predicate competent in the second cycle and (4) students class XI MIA 3 of SMAN 6 Banjarmasin give the best responsibility to learning by using CORE learning model assisted mind mapping on the material salt hydrolysisKeywords: CORE learning model, mind mapping, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. Has done research about the application of guided inquiry learning model on redox material in students of class X Social 2 SMAN 2 Banjarmasin. This research aims to determine: (1) the activities of teachers; (2) the activites of students; (3) students’ affective; (4) psychomotoric and (5) improving students learning outcomes. The research design was used classroom action research with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and evaluation, as well as analysis and reflection. The subjects were 34 students of class X Social 2 SMAN 2 Banjarmasin. The results showed that an increasing teacher activity from 73,58% (good) in the first cycle to 92,96% (very good) in the second cycle, increasing students activity from 52,09% (active enough) in the first cycle to 81,21% (active) in the second cycle, increasing aspect of students' affective like character and skills from 52,82% (good enough) and 59,80% in the first cycle to 79,41% (good) and 82,35% (good) in the second cycle, increasing students psychomotoric from 67,75 (enough) in the first cycle to 80,25% (good) in the second cycle, and learning outcomes in the first cycle is 72,76 (enough) has increased in the second cycle to be 83,70 (good).Keywords: teacher activities, student activities, learning outcomes, guided inquiry learning, material of redox.

Abstract

Abstract: Research has been conducted to aim that implementation of metacognitive strategy with IKRAR model of learning can be used to improve students result’s learning about buffer solution and hydrolysis of salt in XI-IPA class of Darul Hijrah Putri. This research purposed to investigate teachers activities, student activities and how the effect of implementation of metacognitive strategy with IKRAR model of learning can be used to improve students result’s learning about buffer solution and hydrolysis of salt. This research used the classroom action research design (PTK) with 2 cycles. The subjects of this research are 32 students of XI-IPA of Darul Hijrah Putri. The Data collected through the test results of the study, observation, question form, interview and documentation. The result of the research shows that (1) metacognitive strategy with IKRAR model of learning can improve the quality of teachers in the learning activities about 68,67% to 78,89%. (2) metacognitive strategy with IKRAR model of learning can improve activities students from 67,49% to 77,92%. (3) metacognitive strategy with IKRAR model of learning success increase the percentage of students from 57,48% to 82,34%. (4) metacognitive strategy with IKRAR model of learning had been proved to develop metacognitive of the students.Keywords: model, IKRAR, metacognitive straregy, problem solving, buffer solution, hydrolysis of salt
