Abstract

In this modern era, the development of learning media must be in accordance with technological developments. The results of observations and interviews at the research location show that the utilization of media in the learning process is still very lacking. Audio-visual media and electronic media have not been intensively utilized in learning. This research aims to develop video blogging (vlog) learning media in geography learning on the material of spatial interaction of rural and urban. This research is development research that applies the Research and Development (R&D) research method with the ADDIE approach.  This research includes 5 stages, namely the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The validation results from media experts get a score of 77% (valid), material expert validation gets a percentage value of 92% (very valid), while validation by learning experts gets a score of 92.5% (very valid). Student responses from limited scale trials get a percentage of 84.7%, while student responses from general scale trials get a percentage of 89.6%. The conclusion of this research is that the developed video blogging-based learning media is suitable for use in the learning process.Development of Video Blogging Media (Vlog) in Geography Learning in Class XII Social Studies SMAN 1 Tilango Gorontalo Regency

Abstract

This study reveals that the social capital that women use as a source of income is also a difficulty for them. The study was conducted based on quantitative descriptive and associations to define the pattern and distribution of phenomena, which was strengthened by reduction, classification, and interpretation of field-specific research findings. Women are dominated by the age group of less than 40 years old, with the highest level of education being SMA, and the work of farmers, while being dominated by a restricted land tenure of less than 0.1 hectares and an income of less than 2,667,000.00 rupiah. Social capital derives from social networks, primarily non-family kinships such as religion and activist links in the arts. Social capital derived from social networks is the most popular option among women in the research field. Socioeconomic network-based social capital is dominated by arisan activities. The largest social capital, based on the confidence of neighbors, results from the highest social ideals and norms of the rewang and the highest engagement in social organizing activities by the PKK. Women with social capital frequently meet food and non-food demands, such as social charges, school tuition, health, and house repairs. Women utilize social capital to sustain their social, cultural, and economic well-being. In the studied area, it can be challenging for women to fulfill their social, cultural, and economic commitments associated to community activities.

Abstract

Disaster mitigation material has many concepts that are prone to misconceptions and fragments. Mind maps are considered capable of providing a good understanding of concepts. This study aims to determine the application of the concept map learning method in natural disaster mitigation material to increase the motivation to learn the geography of grade XI Social Studies 3 students at SMA Negeri 8 Banjarmasin in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. This is a class action research (PTK) carried out in 3 cycles. Each Cycle consists of stages of planning, execution of actions, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The study subjects were  35 grade XI Social Studies 3 students—data collection using four aspects of learning motivation questionnaires and five questions of learning outcomes tests. The results showed that the initial score of students' motivation to learn geography was 26% in Cycle I to 78.67% of motivated students, in Cycle II to 87.49%, and in Cycle III to 93.07% of students. The initial score of geography learning outcomes was 46% of students completed Cycle I, 77.14% of students completed Cycle II, 88.57% of students,  and Cycle III, 94.29% of students. Based on the study's results, there was an increase in students' motivation to learn geography while applying the mind map method in disaster mitigation material. Preparing concept maps by students with the freedom to draw lines creates an independent and fun learning atmosphere. Mind maps provide an integrated understanding of the relationship between concepts in disaster mitigation materials.

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning products in the form of electronic student worksheets with live worksheets on lithospheric dynamics material in class X at Senior High School which has eligibility standards. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development implementation and evaluation stages. The analysis stage includes performance analysis, needs analysis, curriculum analysis, student analysis. The design stage includes making learning devices, product design, and preparing research instruments. The development stage is determining the media used, validation, and revision. The implementation stage is the stage of implementing the E-LKPD that has been developed in a real situation in the classroom. The final stage is the evaluation stage which is carried out to analyze errors during data collection and can be done in each of the four stages above. This research was conducted at Senior High School Number 1 Jember with the research trial subjects were students of class X5 as many as 36 students. The research instruments used were validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The results showed that electronic student worksheets with live worksheets were feasible with a percentage achievement of 97.5% in the material aspect, 95.8% in the design aspect, 100% in the language aspect and 88%. overall assessment by geography learning practitioners.  The implementation of the E-LKPD trial required 2x meetings or 4 x 45 minutes of class time on January 11 and 18, 2022.  The results of student responses get very good criteria with an average percentage of 91.2%. From these data it can be concluded that the products developed are declared feasible and very good for use in learning geography, especially in high school lithospheric dynamics material.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of class XI students on the subject of Biodiversity at SMAN 93 Jakarta. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest post-test control group. Sampling in this study uses a purposive sampling technique. The samples in this study were class XI-5 as the control class and XI-6 as the experimental class with a total of 33 students in each class. The data analysis technique in this study is divided into three, namely the instrument test which consists of a validity test and a reliability test. Then the analysis prerequisite test consists of the normality test and homogeneity test as well as the data analysis test, the t-test of two independent samples. The results of the validity test showed that 20 multiple-choice questions compiled based on Anderson & Krathwohl's taxonomy were valid and had a high level of reliability. Then the results of the normality test show that all data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the t-test of two independent samples show the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average value between the experimental class and the control class.

Abstract

The Merapi Volcano eruption 2010 caused land damage in several locations, including the District of Cangkringan. After the eruption, residents were relocated to temporary and permanent housing. The site of the 2010 Merapi Volcano eruption's former hot clouds is changing back into a residential area. This study aims to determine the pattern of population displacement after the 2010 Merapi Volcano eruption along the upstream Gendol River. This research uses descriptive and data collection methods of image interpretation, field surveys, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques were conducted using spatial analysis and data triangulation. The pattern of population relocation follows the multiple origin - multiple destination pattern to the temporary shelter and temporary housing, then back to the original residence in the former hot cloud area of the 2010 Merapi Volcano eruption. Relocation back to the former hot cloud area is influenced by (1) being near the land where the informants work, (2) the informants' children use the shelter because they are of marriageable age, (3) taking care of the land that has been inherited or will be inherited, and (4) the bond between the residents around Merapi Volcano and Merapi Volcano itself or the nature around Merapi.
