Abstract

Futsal is a sport that is popular in the community in performed in many groups, from young children to adults. Futsal is a game that is almost the same as soccer, and now futsal is an international sport, the impact of the entire country playing futsal. This study aims to determine the zig-zag run dribbling training and shuttle run dribbling training equally well in improving Dwijendra Denpasar's high school futsal dribbling skills. This study used an experimental research design Randomized pretest-posttest control group design involving 22 extracurricular swimming students, aged 16-17 years who had good physical fitness. The research subjects were divided into two groups using simple random allocation techniques. Group I was given zig-zag run dribbling training and Group II was given dribbling shuttle run training with the frequency of exercise 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Research shows that the average speed of futsal dribbling in Group I is 23.16 ± 2.7 seconds increasing to 17.36 ± 2.29 seconds and in Group II it is 22.54 ± 2.62 seconds increasing to 18.45 ± 2.20 seconds with a value of p < 0 ,05. This means that there has been a significant and significant increase in training after training. It can be concluded that zig-zag run dribbling training and shuttle run dribbling training are equally good at increasing Dwijendra Denpasar's high school futsal ball speed.Keywords: Zig-zag Run Dribbling, Shuttle Run Dribbling, Speed of herding Futsal Balls

Abstract

Kondisi lansia merupakan kondisi dimana terdapat penurunan fungsi baik secara anatomis maupun fisiologis. Penurunan kemampuan muskuloskeletal serta perubahan postur dan ditambah menurunnya kemampuan sistem panca indera, vestibular serta somatosensoris dapat mengganggu fleksibilitas dan keseimbangan pada lansia sehingga resiko jatuh lebih besar. Upaya untuk mengurangi resiko jatuh yaitu latihan fisik. Dewasa ini banyak jenis latihan fisik yang dilakukan oleh lansia seperti jalan santai, bersepeda, yoga dan renang. Namun sering kali didapatkan hasil yang tidak sesuai dengan kondisi tubuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada April 2016 sampai Mei 2016 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas antara Senam Tai Chi dengan Senam Bugar Lansia terhadap fleksibilitas dan keseimbangan pada lansia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre test and post test two group design, berlangsung selama 5 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali seminggu. Sampel penelitian ini berasal dari Asosiasi Tai Chi Nasional Indonesia (ATNI) dengan jumlah lansia 40 orang dimana dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok masing-masing 20 lansia. Kelompok I diberikan program Senam Tai Chi dan Kelompok II yang diberikan program Senam Bugar Lansia. Pengukuran fleksibilitas menggunakan chair sit and reach test dan keseimbangan menggunakan four square step test yang diukur sebelum maupun sesudah program latihan pada masing-masing subjek. Hasil penelitian pada Kelompok I setelah perlakuan diperoleh rerata fleksibilitas sebesar 3,98 ± 1,81 cm dan keseimbangan sebesar 10,95 ± 2,96 detik dengan nilai p=0,000. Sedangkan hasil penelitian Kelompok II setelah diperoleh rerata fleksibilitas sebesar 0,83 ± 2,87 cm dan keseimbangan sebesar 14,10 ± 2,20 detik dengan nilai p=0,000. Beda rerata fleksibilitas dan keseimbangan antara ke dua kelompok menggunakan uji Independent t-test diperoleh nilai p=0,000 yang artinya berbeda secara signifikan dengan nilai rerata fleksibilitas 3,15 cm dan keseimbangan -3,15 detik sehingga ditemukan peningkatan. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan Senam Tai Chi dan Senam Bugar Lansia sama-sama efektif meningkatkan fleksibilitas dan keseimbangan pada lansia di Kota Denpasar, namun Senam Tai Chi lebih efektif terhadap peningkatkan fleksibilitas dan keseimbangan pada lansia di Kota Denpasar.

Abstract

Background: Kick accuracy is a person's ability to control free movements against a target. Kick accuracy are influenced by core muscles, concentration and dynamic balance. Back strengthening exercise and Pilates exercise was given by the researcher to improve the accuracy of kicking among soccer players. Purpose: The difference effect of back strengthening exercise and Pilates exercise on kick accuracy among soccer players. Methods: This study was quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test group design. There were 22 subjects divided randomly into 2 groups. Group I with back strengthening exercise and group II Pilates exercise. Exercise was given 3 times a week for 5 weeks. Kick accuracy measurement tool used plywood target measurement. Result: research shows that the intervention that was given to groups I and II could improve kick accuracy in soccer players. The effect test are using paired sample t-test in group I with mean pre and post test, obtained (p=0.004) and in group II obtained (p=0.011). The different test among two groups are using independent sample t test with post treatment data in each group, obtained (p=0.100). Conclusion: There is no difference in the effect between giving back strengthening exercise and Pilates exercise to the accuracy of kick on the soccer player.

Abstract

Shoulder impingement causing interference on the motion of the shoulder joint activities and result in functional activity disorder. These injuries usually are caused by faulty movement, overuse, poor posture, occupational factors and trauma. This will cause a burden on one part of the body and cause imbalances in anatomy, which will eventually lead to disruption of the body that experienced work. This study aimed to investigate the effect of functional shoulder exercise and traction humerus to inferior with shoulder stabilization exercises and traction humerus to inferior to the decline in the shoulder and arm disabilities in subacromial impingement syndrome. This research method was experimental clinical trials with pre test and post test group design. Population student Academy Physiotherapy Widya Husada Semarang, which consists of 3 men and 12 women, aged between 18-21 years, divided into two groups. Group I was given Shoulder Stabilization exercises and Traction humerus to Inferior (n=7) and group II Functional Shoulder Exercise and Traction humerus to Inferior (n=8). This research was conducted for 3 weeks. Measurement of the value of disability shoulder and arm by using the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI). The test results on the group I average value pre 34.17, SB = 6.31, and the average value of post 11.54, SB = 4.02, p = 0.001 found significant differences obtained test results paired sample t-test, and testing group II average value pre 40.18, SB = 3.53, and the average value of post 7.82, SB = 1.57, p = 0.001 found significant differences obtained test results paired sample t-test. Comparison of Group I and II, p = 0.005 there were significant differences, test results obtained independent sample t-test. Conclusions: The combination of shoulder stabilization exercises and traction humerus to inferior can reduce disability shoulder and arm on subacromial impingement syndrome. The combination functional shoulder exercise and traction humerus to inferior can reduce disability shoulder and arm on subacromial impingement syndrome. The combination functional shoulder exercises and traction humerus to inferior better than the combination shoulder stabilization exercises and traction humerus to inferior in lowering disabilities shoulder and arm on subacromial impingement syndrome.

Abstract

Introduction : Upper trapezius myofascial pain syndrom (MPS) is characterized by presence of trigger points in upper trapezius muscle. MPS can cause disability and also has negative economic effect. Purpose : The reserach’s goal is to improve that combination of ultrasound and dry needling was better than combination of ultrasound and hold relax to decrease neck disability index. Methods : This research used experimental methods to study with pre-test and post-test control group design. Number of samples of the experimental group was 17 subjects given three times treatment of combination of ultrasound and dry needling, while in the control group were 17 subjects given three time treatment of combination of ultrasound and hold relax. NDI was used as out come measure. Shaphiro-wilk test was used to test the normality and levene’s test was used to test the homogenity. wilcoxon signed ranked test was used for hipothesis I, t-test related was used for hipothesis II and t-test independent wa used for hipothesis III. Results : The research showed that: (1) There was significant decrease of NDI in the experimental group . values of mean for pre test were 42,04 + 7,33 % and post test were 10,18 + 3,78 %. with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) (2) there was significant decrease of NDI in the control group. values of mean for pre test were 45,29 + 6,03 % and post test were 22,24 + 5,42 %, with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) (3) There were significant differences between experimental group and control group comparing with the differences of post test values between the group. The mean of post test values in experimental group showed 10,18 + 3,78 % meanwhile 22,24 + 5,42% in control group, with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclution : It was concluded that combination of ultrasound and dry needling and combination of ultrasound and hold relax can decrease the neck disability index. Combination of ultrasound and dry needling was better than combination of ultrasound and hold relax to decrease neck disability index in subject with upper trapezius myofascial pain syndrom.

Abstract

Patellofemoral pain syndrome is complained of knee pain by young adults who are productive oftenly, syndrome characterized by pain that is felt around the kneecap, and aggravated the activity squat and stand, up and down stairs, and change the position of the knee after a long standstill ( stand up after sitting for a long time). This is due to the weakness of the thigh muscles especially vasus medialis obliquus. Reinforcement of weak muscle in particular strengthening of the vastus medialis  oblique an appropriate treatment to increase the functional activity of the syndrome. The study was a randomized experiment with pre and post-test group design. This study aimed to compare the combining of mulligan techniques and facilitate of vasus medialis obliquus with application of kinesio taping to increase the functional activity of the lower extremities. In this study, 11 respondents were given a combination of mulligan techniques and facilitation of vastus medialis oblique for 5 weeks with a frequency of exercise 3 times a week, and 11 respondents provided application of kinesio taping for 5 weeks with 3 days and replaced with a new taping. Each treatment was measured by the Lower Extremity Fungtional Scale before and after 5 weeks. Statistical analysis parametric paired sample t-test results is the influence of a combining of mulligan techniques and facilitate of vastus medialis oblique and application of kinesio taping to increase the functional activity of the lower extremities with p<0.05. Test of different with the independent sample t-test with a result there are significant difference between the combining of techniques mulligan and facilitation of vasus medialis obliquus with application of kinesio taping values with  p <0.05. Conclusions in this study that a combining of mulligan techniques and facilitation of vasus medialis obliquus, 3 times a week for 5 weeks effectively to increase the functional activity of the lower extremities of patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome compared to application of kinesio taping for 5 weeks with 3 days in a single use.

Abstract

Introduction: Quadriceps strengthening usualy find in fitness center or clinical rehabilitation physiotherapy programs, there are two methods in strengthening quadriceps programs, closed kinetic chain and open kinetic chain methods, several researchers use to used these methods for reducing pain intensity, improve functional ability and reducing quadriceps angle, indeed these methods can be used to prevent patellofemoral pain syndrome risk in asymptomatic person with abnormal q angle. Purpose: Purpose of this study is to study the difference of closed and open kinetic chain to maintain quadriceps angle on subject with abnormal quadriceps angle. Method: This experimental study is to compare closed and open kinetic chain to maintain quadriceps angle in subject with abnormal quadriceps angle, thirty six males samples 15 to 21 years old devided into two Groups, Group 1 applied a treatment with closed kinetic chain methods using barbell squat training and the second group have applied a treatment with open kinetic chain method using leg extension training, quadriceps angle measured before and after treatment to each Group, Result: Both quadriceps strengthening methods, closed and open kinetic chain has same beneficial to maintain quadriceps angle, Group 1 after analyzed by paired t test show the mean right quadriceps angle 13.38 ± 2.93 degree and the mean of left quadriceps angle 12.88 ± 2.44 degree, with significancy value p = 0.001, likewise in Group 2 after analyzed by paired t test show the mean of right quadriceps angle 15.66 ± 2.74 degree and the mean of left quadriceps angle is 15.38 ± 3.22 degree, with significancy value p = 0.001, but closed kinetic chain method is more effective than open kinetic chain in maintaining quadriceps angle with p < 0.05. Conclusion: Therefore this result of study can be reference for reader as an athlete, fitness instructor and physiotherapist in order to get better understanding to choose and create best training program for quadriceps strengthening. Therefore it’s been suggest to someone if they have abnormal quadriceps angle, they must choose the closed kinetic chain exercise as the main program in quadriceps training program

Abstract

Background: Forward Head Posture (FHP) is a posture deviation consisting of an increase in angular excursion in the upper and lower aspects of the cervical spine. A popular method used by physiotherapists to reduce muscle tightness is massage. The massage used is Deep Tissue Massage (DTM) with deeper pressure and slow motion. As an effort to correct posture, physiotherapists can use the McKenzie Neck Exercise method. The standard for managing physiotherapy at the clinic provides a modality, namely Microwave Diathermy (MWD).Method: Research with experimental pre and post-test two groups design. The study was divided into 2 groups, consisting of group 1 with Microwave Diathermy and Deep Tissue Massage exercises and group 2 with Microwave Diathermy and McKenzie Neck Exercise. The number of samples in this study were 16 samples each group, so that the total sample in the two groups amounted to 32 respondents.Results: Group 1 with a value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05) which means an increase in perspective before and after the intervention of microwave diathermy and deep tissue massage. Group 2 obtained a value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05) which means an increase in the craniovertebra viewpoint which means the cervical joint before and after the intervention of microwave diathermy and McKenzie's neck training. Calculation results of mean differences Increased craniovertebra angle obtained p value = 0.001 (p <0.05) on the difference between before and after intervention. Abstract

Pendahuluan: Angka penderita stroke di Yogyakarta cukup tinggi, yaitu 5000 pasien pertahun dan menjadi penyebab kesakitan dan kematian utama di Yogyakarta. Sebanyak 80-90% mengalami cacat fisik. Tingkat penyembuhannya masih rendah, 25% dari pasien stroke meninggal dalam tahun pertama setelah terserang stroke. Penyebab utamanya gaya hidup yang tidak sehat : kurang olahraga, merokok, konsumsi makanan berlemak, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap menurunnya produktifitas dan tingkat kemampuan ekonomi keluarga. Tujuan: Untuk menurunkan risiko stroke pada pra lansia di kalurahan Sorosutan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan pre-test dan post-test control group design. Subyek penelitian ini pra lansia di kelurahan Sorosutan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta dengan jumlah subyek 42 orang dibagi 2 kelompok, kelompok perlakuan 21 orang, kelompok kontrol 21 orang. Dilakukan senam 3x seminggu selama 8 minggu. Tehnik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan Form mengukur risiko stroke. Uji kelompok perlakuan dengan Wilcoxon match pair test, Uji kelompok kontrol dengan t-test of related, uji beda dengan Mann Whitney U test. Hasil: Uji Wilcoxon match pair test didapatkan hasil nilai p: 0,000 (p<0,05), uji t-test of related didapatkan hasil nilai p: 0,052 (p>0,05), uji beda hasil uji Mann Whitney U test didapatkan hasil nilai p: 0,000 (p<0,05), ada perbedaan penurunan risiko stroke pada kedua kelompok. Dari rerata kelompok perlakuan hasil nilainya 30,76, kelompok kontrol nilai reratanya 12,24. Simpulan: Ada pengaruh senam aerobik intensitas sedang dalam menurunkan risiko stroke pada pra lansia di kalurahan Sorosutan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta. Saran: Untuk peneliti selanjutnya memperhatikan faktor diit atau pola makan sehari hari.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: High duration of training performed by swimmers with dominant freestyle stroke, resulted in significant number of shoulder rotation movement. The presence of continous movement that occurs in the shoulder of swimmers can cause the risk of shoulder injury, known as swimmer’s shoulder. The presence of shoulder injuries among swimmers resulting a decrease in functional ability on the shoulder of swimmers. The training of shoulder girdle dynamic stabilization and prone scapular stabilization is a training that can be used to improve the functional ability among swimmers shoulders. Method: This study used randomized pre test and post test control group design. This study performed on 20 swimmers that diagnosed of swimmer shoulder injury which divided into 2 groups. Treatment Group was given shoulder girdle dynamic stabilization and Control Group was given prone scapular stabilization training. Shoulder functional ability was measured using SPADI and analized on each group. Result: This research showed that every functional training that was given to each sample groups giving an effect to improving shoulder functional ability post swimmer’s shoulder injury among swimmers. There are significant alteration in Treatment Group and Control Group from pre to post test, both was obtained (p< 0.001). There is significant difference from post test between Treatment Group and Control Group, came with (p=0.001).
