Abstract

Act No. 14/ 2005 about Teachers and Lecturers and PP (GovernmentDecree) No 74/2008 about Teachers give an instruction to the government to certify on-going-occupation teachers of all courses in requirements. Based on the survey of Directorate General of PMPTK in 2009/, however, the program of certification couldn?t have developed teachers? competency and professionalism significantly so that it does not positively take an effect on teachers? performance development. The study aims to describe a model of biology teachers? professional competency development based on the early competency test (UKA) in Surakarta. The procedure of research development used R & D model developed by Borg & Gall (2007), and then simplified by Samsudi (2009; 92) into three main stage: 1) introduction, 2) development, and 3) validation for finding a model. The introduction of the study empirically analyzed a model of professional competency development through Biology MGMP, called as factual model nowadays and theoretically analyzed the relevant researchers. It employed a survey approach while the instrument was questionnaires. The respondents or informants with purposive sampling were the heads of LPMP ? Provincial Central Java, Education Agency of Regency/Mayor, Principals, the Committees of Biology MGMP, and Biology Teachers. In the stage of development, the researcher formulated an early development; then it was analyzed and matched with the relevant theories for making a model design developed in the form of Figure or Model Figure after validated through focus group discussion (FGD). The results of the study stated that a model of biology teachers? professional competency based on the early competency test included the following characters: 1) implementing a model began with a competency test; 2) the activities reflected the aspect of continuing professional development (CDP); 3) the supervision was periodically realized by principals or course teachers); 4) giving feed-back for the next development was based on the evaluation; and 5) the speakers of Higher Education with relevant sciences were involved in the activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the planning and implementation of training dropout, describes the factors driving and the problems encountered in the training dropout organic fertilizer, and describe the impact of the activity of teenagers dropping out of school in the training of organic fertilizer in the hamlet Pampung. The approach used in this study is qualitative descriptive. Data collection was conducted using interview, observation and documentation. From the results, the data include: (1). Chemical fertilizer or inorganic fertilizer was shown to lower the quality / damage to the soil; (2). Limousine cow manure waste not managed optimally in Hamlet Pampung; (3). Dropout yet have the ability and knowledge of how to treat the sewage Limousine cow waste into something more useful; and (4). Dropout and farmers are very enthusiastic about the training activities making organic fertilizer from cow dung material Limousine. In order for this training management objectives can be achieved by optimum, then several things that must be considered are: (1). Make this activity as an activity that has a follow-up plan to the marketing process organic fertilizer; (2). Structuring membership consists primarily Pampung hamlet residents, it is to facilitate the coordination of activities in the future; (3). The need for cooperation in the management of organic fertilizers to be marketed properly and smoothly, so it can become a useful citizen entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implantation of academic supervision of supervisors in the development of Islamic Religious education teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Falah of Bulukumba Regency. This research is a qualitative research with the phenomenology approach. The subject of this study is the supervisors, head of Madrasah, teachers, and students at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Falah. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. Processing techniques and data analysis through data reduction, data display, and verification or withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of academic supervision of supervisors at Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Falah of Bulukumba Regency from the planning aspect, monitoring program has been included either because the supervisor has done the planning before conducting supervision activities by making agreement with the madrasah personnel to be supervised so as to prepare. However, the teacher's aspect of coaching has not been well-running so much of the assessment aspect. Thus, the results of the implementation of the academic supervision of supervisors in the development of Islamic Religious education teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Falah of Bulukumba Regency is not optimal so it still needs to be improved, especially on the aspect of development and judgment.

Abstract

This  research  aim  to description  of optimalisation  of achievement  of learning through visual medium at educative  participant  of class IX E State Junior High School Two Cawas Region Klaten school year odd semester 2014/2015. Subject and research data source is educative participant  of class VIII F 21 educative participants.  Data collecting method  applies  observation,   documentation,   and  test.  Data  analysis  applies  critical analysis  and  comparability.  Indicator  success  of  using  minimal  limit  criteria  75  and complete target of 100%. Research procedure applies cycle. Based on result of inferential research  and  solution  that  :  Data  obtained  from  finite  precycle  of  cycle  II,  obtained progress of achievement of student learning in study of Social science with materi environmental  development passed visual picture/ medium, at precycle average of 71,6 and cycle I average of 76,6 and cycle II average of 84,9. From this data, seems to explain that happened increase of average of value from precycle to cycle I equal to 5 number (7%), from cycle  I  to  cycle  II  happened  increase  8,3  numbers  (10,8%),  from  pasiklus  to  cycle  II happened increase 13,3 numbers (18,6%).Highest  value of phase precycle 80 and cycle I 86 and cycle II 92. Seems to explain that from phase precycle to cycle I happened increase equal to 6 number (7,5%), from cycle I to cycle II happened increase equal to 6 number (7%), and from precycle to cycle II happened increase 10 numbers (13%). Low value of phase precycle is obtained by 66 and cycle I 72 and cycle II 76. thereby, can be affirmed that from phase precycle  to cycle  I happened  increase  equal  to 6 number  (9%),  from  cycle  I to cycle  II happened  increase  equal  to  4  number  (5,6%),  and  from  precycle  to  cycle  II  happened increase  10 numbers (15,2%).Complete  percentage  learnt starts from precycle  is obtained equal to 24% and cycle I is obtained  equal to 62% and cycle II equal to 100%. Seems to explain that from phase precycle to cycle I happened increase equal to 38%, from cycle I to cycle II happened  increase equal to 38%, and from precycle  to cycle II happened  increase equal to 76%.  Thereby,  achievement  of student  learning  in study  of Social  science  with materi environmental  development  passed visual picture/  medium  from finite precycle  of cycle II happened increase significant.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and examine the influence of principal?s managerial competence and supervision to teachers? achievement motivation at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi. This research is a field study with a quantitative approach through the ex post facto method. Respondents in this study as many as 83teachers were taken 50% randomly from 166 teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Bulukumba Regency. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire then analysis using inferential statistics through regression analysis. The results of this study show that partially, the principal?s managerial competencies and supervision competencies influence positively and significantly towards teachers? achievement motivation. Simultaneously, the principal?s managerial competence and supervision also have positive and significant impact on the teacher's achievement motivation. This indicates that the level of teachers? achievement motivation, there is influence of managerial competence and supervision competence applied by the headmaster at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Bulukumba Regency.Keywords: Managerial Competence, Supervision Competence, Motivation for Achievement

Abstract

Improvement of teacher professional competency can be done through training. However, training has not been fully successful, therefore training activities need to be evaluated relating to training materials, instructor requirements, training facilities, training methods, and implementation process. The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate of training to improve the professional competence of junior high school teachers. This research uses a qualitative approach. Research subjects is education authorities, supervisors, principals, and junior high school teachers in Kendal Regency. Data collection techniques with a questionnaire; interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using the flow method through the process of collecting, reducing, displaying, drawing and verifying data. The results of the study show that indicators of training materials have an average 2.12 (not good), instructor requirements 1.81 (not good), existence of training facilities 1.64 (not good), training methods 1.80 (not good), and management training conducted is on an average of 1.97 (not good). Based on these results it can be interpreted that the training has not been as expected and needs to be followed up with better management.

Abstract

In recent years there has been an increasing interest in educational management. Specially in this social media era. This article presents an exhaustive review of educational management studies and suggests a direction for future developments. This research was conducted by comparing several articles (literature study) from educational management journals. This literature study was conducted by analyzing forms of educational management in the era of Social media. From the results of the literature study, it can be seen how the documentation technique in management education in the era of Social Media. The results presented here may facilitate improvements in the educational field. The presence of technology makes management in the field of education was easy to run. In the data documentation section, there are many applications that can be used to streamline school administration time and personnel. In addition, information dissemination is easier and class management makes students more active in asking questions and getting fast feed back from the teacher

Abstract

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan mata ajar wajib yang diajarkan di sekolah dasar dan menegah. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada pembelajaran IPA adalah terjadinya kecemasan pada siswa. Kecemasan pada IPA terjadi di berbagai spektrum populasi siswa, mulai dari kelompok minoritas, sampai pada kebangsaan dan gender tertentu. Di Indonesia, kecemasan IPA juga telah terjadi, dan menjadi  masalah serius. Saat ini beberapa solusi untuk mengatasi kecemasan IPA sudah dapat dilakukan, diantaranya melalui pembelajaran tematik, pengembangan sekolah anak berbakat, pendekatan psikoterapi, pendekatan spiritualisme, kondisi kelas yang positif, Problem Based Learning, dan teknologi informasi. Namun, keberhasilan semua pendekatan tersebut baru dapat terjamin jika guru dapat menjalankan peran sebagai motivator bagi siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and examine the influence of communication and organizational environment to employee performance at Ministry of Region Office, Bulukumba District, South Sulawesi. This study is a quantitative research with ex post facto method. The participants of this research are 52 employees from Ministry of Region Office, Bulukumba District. Data collection technique with questionnaires and then analyzed by using regression analysis to test the hypothesis. The results of this study show that partially, the organizational communication has a positive effect on employee performance of 27,5%, as well as the organizational environment has a positive effect on employee performance of 49,4%. Simultaneously, organizational communication and environment has a positif effect on employee performance of 52,1% and 47,9% is determined by other factors. Thus, communication and organizational environment are the factors that determine the level employee performance. Key word: Communication, Organizational Environment, and Employee Performance

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the comparison of male employee performance with female employee performance at Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Bone Regency. This research is a field study with a quantitative approach through the causal comparative. Respondents in this research as many as 46 employees were taken through proportionate random sampling technique from 85 employees at the Ministry of Religion Bone Regency. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire then analyzed by using nonparametric statistics through the Wicoxon test paired samples. The results of this study indicate that the performance of employees at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, Bone Regency, both men and women didn?t show a significant difference.  Therefore, employee performance does not have a significant difference when compared in terms of gender.
