Abstract

The learning and learning process is a process that occurs in the educational unit environment. The learning process carried out must produce changes in the student's self, this is supported by the student's desire or encouragement to make changes in learning, this is called learning motivation. Motivation according to Sari (2018) is the desire from within oneself to carry out certain activities in order to achieve the goals to be achieved, Good motivation will later influence students' understanding of concepts. Jihad and Haris (2013) explain that conceptual understanding is a competency that enables students to understand concepts and carry out problem solving procedures accurately, efficiently and perfectly. The problem in this research is that teachers are not optimal in using learning media and only focus on the lecture method which causes students to get bored with learning and students' understanding of concepts is low, so the researcher offers a solution in the form of implementing the STAD learning model assisted by paper puppets. This research uses quantitative research with quasi-experimental research and nonequivalent control group design patterns, and data collection techniques through tests, observations, questionnaires and questionnaires, as well as documentation. The result is that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference and influence in the application of the STAD learning model assisted by paper puppets on motivation of 72.3% and concept understanding of 61.9%. So, it can be concluded that the use of the STAD learning model assisted by paper puppet has an influence on students learning motivation and understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Digital simulation courses consist of theory and practice must master theory first before they practice. Theory obtained by students from lectures equipped with webblog-based books / diktats about learning media design. In the visual basic macro software application there are instructions in designing learning media. So, to design learning media using visual basic macro software applications, students must be able to understand visual basic macro software applications. By understanding the procedure for designing learning media, it is hoped that students can practice designing learning media using visual basic macro software applications to produce something whose printout is in the form of text and images. The problem being studied is which learning model is more effective between the cooperative model of the Jigsaw model and the conventional model.  The problem being studied is which learning model is more effective between the cooperative model of the Jigsaw model and the conventional model.  To solve this problem, experimental research was carried out at PGRI Semarang University, especially students majoring in S1 Information Technology Education, Faculty of PMIPATI semester 6 who were taking the Digital Simulation course. They have 1 class, each class averages 15 students. For the target of this study were taken 15 people, so their number was 30 people. In this study there are 2 types of data, namely: (1) Jigsaw cooperative model group data on the ability to design learning media using visual basic macro software applications with grouping treatment, and (2) conventional model group data without grouping treatment on the ability to design learning media using Visual Basic Macro software applications. Data from the Jigsaw model cooperative group as well as conventional models on the ability to design learning media using visual basic macro software applications were obtained with tasks. The data were statistically calculated with a t-test to determine the effectiveness comparison between the Jigsaw cooperative model group and the conventional model. The results of this t test show that the Jigsaw cooperative model using grouping shows that the ability to design learning media using visual basic macro software applications is more effective than conventional models without using grouping treatment.

Abstract

This research was conducted to the effect of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model assisted by squid chains on the ability to understand concepts. The problem faced is the low ability of students to understand concepts in learning. This type of research is quantitative research. The population used was all students at SD Negeri Ungaran 01, while the research sample was class IA as the experimental class and class IB as the control class. The data collection techniques and instruments used were questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Independent Sample T-Test and Simple Linear Regression. The results of the research are (1) The different effects of using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by Chain Squid on students' conceptual understanding. This is proven by the results of the Independent Sample T-Test with a significance level of less than 0.05, namely 0.006 ˂ 0.05, (2) There is an influence of using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by Chain Squid on students' ability to understand concepts. This is proven by the results of the Simple Linear Regression Test with a significance value of less than 0.05, namely 0.018 ˂ 0.05. From the research results, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the ability to understand concepts after using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by Chain Squid in 1st grade elementary school student and there is an influence of using the  affects the ability to understand concepts in 1st grade elementary school students and the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by Chain Squid in 1st grade elementary school student.

Abstract

Junior high school education is an advanced stage of mastering English. However, students' levels of ability to receive and master the material differ from each other. Teachers need to apply better learning methods so that students can develop according to their educational level, one of the methods is scaffolding method. The problem studied refers to the problem formulation as follows: 1) How do teachers use scaffolding in teaching English at Kanisius St. Yoris Junior High School Semarang? 2) What types of scaffolding do the teachers use? 3) Why do teachers use scaffolding teaching techniques with their students? This research method is a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects are St. Yoris Kanisius Junior High School teachers. The stages of the research method are through data collection (observation, questionnaires and interviews), data classification and data analysis carried out directly at St. Yoris Kanisius Junior High School Semarang. The conclusions of this research are: 1) Teachers use scaffolding in teaching English at St. Yoris Kanisius Junior High School Semarang during pre activity, main activity and post activity; 2) The types of scaffolding applied are scaffolding down and scaffolding up; 3) Teachers use scaffolding teaching techniques to their students because scaffolding creates a supportive learning environment, helps reduce boredom and increase student activity, and reduces tension so that the material presented can be received and absorbed well by students.

Abstract

This Loose part not only supports children's development, but also helps children to connect themselves with the environment. Loose part activities can be used to train fine motor skills in children. The aim of this research is to describe: 1) describe loose part-based learning in stimulating children's fine motor skills at TK Sakti Lestari 01 Batang. 02, 2) describes the obstacles and solutions to loose part-based learning in stimulating children's fine motor skills at TK Sakti Lestari 01 Batang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The results of this research are: 1) TK Sakti Lestari 01 Batang is quite good at utilizing loose parts from natural materials to stimulate fine motor skills in children, 2) The obstacles that arise are related to the limited availability of loose part learning media 3) the solution provided by the school is to collaborate with children's parents in procuring loose part learning media.

Abstract

The main problem underlying this research is the lack of activeness of class XI ATPH A SMKN 1 Bawen students in participating in learning. This is because the characteristics of students learning styles are variated so that if teachers don’t accommodate the needs of their learning styles, students will be reluctant to pay attention the learning level of use of learning technology; motivation to learn mathematics and even have difficulty understanding the lesson. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are that researchers can find out the teacher's strategy to increase the activeness of class XI ATPH A students in learning, namely by presenting differentiated learning content. The content differentiation strategy is provided by the teacher so that students can explore insight and understanding regarding the material being taught. Student activeness in learning will appear automatically if students understand learning well because their learning needs have been fulfilled.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence and differences of the use of learning media, animated videos and illustrations in improving the learning outcomes of basketball class XI SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. This quantitative research was carried out in the form of two groups of tests before and after. The research sample was 60 students in grade XI of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. Prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity were used in the analysis of this study. The results of the study showed that the average score of the students in the Animation Video learning approach group was 44.2 and the posttest results after treatment with Animation Video learning were on average 85.  Meanwhile, the data of the problem basin learning group before the treatment was carried out, the average student score was 75 and after the treatment, the student score changed, namely with a mean value or an average score of 85. Mann-Whitney test with a baseline of Asymp values. Sig 0.05, then the hypothesis is accepted. The results of the hypothesis analysis of the SPSS software application assistance above can be concluded that based on the hypothesis test with a significance value of 0.112 or 0.05. It was interpreted that the hypothesis was rejected because there was no significant difference in the results of the students' pretest between the two treatment groups. The use of the Animation Video and Illustration Learning Model has a significant influence on basketball learning outcomes in grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang as seen from the comparison of significance values with significant norm references. In the Animation Video learning model group, it provided an increase of 12.2% while the Illustration learning model group provided an increase of 9.9%. This means that the Animated Video learning model group is an effective learning model compared to the animated video learning model on basketball learning outcomes in grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the Animation Video learning model is an effective learning model compared to the animation video learning model on basketball learning outcomes in grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang.

Abstract

Edamame cultivation requires a strong technical understanding, such as the arrangement of planting distances, hole depth, and seed treatment, to achieve optimal results. Learning tools, such as student worksheets, are designed to help students systematically understand these technical steps. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of student worksheet in improving students' understanding of the edamame planting process at vocational high schools. The study was conducted in November 2024 at SMK Negeri 1 Bawen, class X ATP B. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with an evaluative approach. Data were collected from the analysis of worksheets completed by 13 student groups, questionnaires completed by 6 students, and field observations. The findings showed that the average worksheet score was 70.8, with 5 groups achieving the "very good" category. The questionnaire data supported these findings, with 5 out of 6 students giving the highest scores to statements indicating that the worksheets helped them independently follow each step of the practical activities. However, some challenges were identified, such as technical difficulties in measuring planting distances and discrepancies between the worksheet instructions and field practices.

educate the younger generation. However, there are still many obstacles, including differences in characteristics and learning needs of students. This research aims to determine the learning method using the TaRL (Teaching at The Right Level) approach in generative plant propagation material on the level of students' understanding. This type of research is classroom action research.  The research subjects using 1 class X of SMK Negeri 1 Bawen were 31 students. This research was carried out by providing pre-test and post-test questions regarding generative plant propagation. The implementation of the TaRL approach is carried out by grouping students according to their respective levels of ability, where each group consists of students who get low, medium and high scores. Grouping is done so that cooperation in groups and discussion activities to complete tasks can run smoothly and effectively. The research that has been carried out shows that the TaRL approach can improve students' understanding. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' understanding with the increase in the test results by 5.41 or increased from 84.29 to 89.70.
