Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out the profile of teachers' constructivist practice and it effects on self-efficacy and student cognitive learning outcomes. The subjects of the study are two Biology teachers and a group of first year high school students in Kayen district, Pati. The instrument of data collection is consists of questionnaire, observation sheet, and score document. The data of the research are analyzed with quantitative approach. The results show that both teachers get average score of 3,16 and 3,63. Those scores are classified as high criterion. Based on the N-gain test, the result of students’ cognitive learning has medium to high criteria. The students' cognitive and self-efficacy learning outcomes in all classes before and after constructivist practice on learning by teachers significantly differ (p <0.05). Although the result of student's self-efficacy in N-gain test shows low to moderate criteria, the result of the analysis shows that there is positive correlation in students’ self-efficacy caused by constructivist practice by teachers with cognitive learning outcomes. It can be concluded that a profile of teachers' constructivist practice is classified as high category which has positive effect on self-efficacy and student learning outcomes. Keyword: cognitive learning achievment, constructivist, self-efficacy ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil praksis konstruktivis guru serta pengaruhnya terhadap self efficacy dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Subyek penelitian adalah dua orang guru mata pelajaran Biologi dan siswa kelas X IPA di salah satu SMAN di Kayen Kabupaten Pati. Instrumen pengambilan data penelitian terdiri atas angket, lembar observasi, dan dokumen nilai. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik konstruktivis guru dalam pembelajaran oleh guru A memperoleh rata-rata skor 3,16 dengan kriteria tinggi, guru B memperoleh rata-rata skor 3,63 dengan kriteria tinggi.  Berdasarkan uji N-gain hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas X IPA.1sampai X IPA.5 dengan kriteria sedang sampai dengan tinggi. Hasil belajar kognitif dan self-efficacy siswa di semua kelas sebelum dan sesudah praktik konstruktivis pada pembelajaran oleh guru menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p< 0,05). Walupun uji N-gain self-efficacy siswa masih menunjukkan rendah sampai sedang.  Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa di semua kelas ada korelasi positif self-efficacy siswa akibat praktik konstruktivis oleh guru dengan hasil belajar kognitif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa profil praktik konstruktivis pada pembelajaran oleh guru menunjukkan kategori tinggi, hal ini berpengaruh positif terhadap self-efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci : hasil belajar kognitif, konstruktivis, self efficacy siswa

Abstract

ABSTRACTOrchid epiphytes are orchids that attach to parts of plant such as stems, branches, or twigs that are still alive or dead. This study aims to determine the composition of epiphytic orchid species and their host species in the conservation area of Gunung Tilu, West Java. This research uses descriptive method with quantitative approach. This research was conducted from January to March 2017 in Gambung Block that exist in natural reserve of Gunung Tilu, West Java. The results showed that epiphytic orchid species found in Gambung Block, Gunung Tilu Natural Reserve as many as 15 species. The species of host plant that places the epiphytic orchid consists of eight species, namely Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, and Trema amboinensis. Epiphytic orchids are widely distributed in three plant zone, i.e zone two, three and four. Keywords: Orchid epiphytes, Gunung Tilu, host plant, distribution ABSTRAK Anggrek epifit adalah anggrek yang menempel pada bagian pohon seperti batang, dahan, atau ranting pohon yang masih hidup maupun yang sudah mati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi spesies anggrek epifit dan jenis pohon inangnya di kawasan konservasi cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2017 di blok gambung yang ada pada cagar alam Gunung Tilu, Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa spesies anggrek epifit yang terdapat di blok gambung, Cagar Alam Gunung Tilu sebanyak 15 spesies. Jenis pohon inang yang menjadi tempat tinggal anggrek epifit terdiri atas delapan spesies yaitu Altingia excelsa, Lithocarpus pallidus, Schima wallichii, Ficus pistulosa, Castanopsis argantea, Phobea grandis, Castanopsis cuspidate, dan Trema amboinensis. Anggrek epifit terdistribusi luas pada tiga zona pohon yaitu pada zona dua, tiga dan empat. Kata Kunci: anggrek epifit, Gunung Tilu, pohon Inang, distribusi

Abstract

ABSTRACTProblems which were raised in this research are the low students’ activity and their poor achievements during the teaching and learning process, especially in human movement system topic. Hence, the researcher implemented contextual approach with group discussion to stimulate students’ active activity and improve their scores. This study utilized classroom action research in which there were four steps for each cycle, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were divided into two, primary (researcher’s action) and secondary (documentation). Those data were collected through interview, students’ worksheets, teacher’s observation and written test. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students’ activity from cycle 1 to 3 respectively are 71.88 %, 84.38 %, and 90.62 %; meanwhile the average scores of students’ achievement are 55.31; 69.55; and 79.38 respectively. It can be concluded that by implementing contextual approach with group discussion, students’ activity and achievements during teaching and learning the human movement system topic are improved. Keywords: contextual learning, human movement system, student’s achievement, students‘ activity ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia, sehingga peneliti menerapkan pendekatan kontekstual dengan diskusi kelompok untuk merangsang siswa lebih aktif dan hasil belajar siswa lebih meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dimana setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data primer yaitu peneliti yang melakukan tindakan dan siswa yang menerima tindakan dan sumber data sekunder yang berupa data dokumentasi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, lembar aktivitas siswa, observasi kinerja guru dan tes tertulis. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil ditunjukkan dengan persentase keaktifan siswa; hasil siklus 1, 2 dan 3 berturut-turut adalah 71,88 %, 84,38 %, dan 90,62 %. Sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa hasil siklus 1,2 dan 3 berturut-turut 55,31; 69,55; dan 79,38. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan diskusi kelompok, keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak pada manusia meningkat. Kata kunci:  pembelajaran kontekstual, sistem gerak pada manusia, hasil belajar siswa, keaktifan siswa

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to know the influence of feed additive are ginger, turmeric, and greeting in ration and lighting treatment on percentage of internal organ weight, It was are  liver, heart, lymph, gizzard, and intestine. Subjects used in the study were 100 DOC unsex. Factorial based on Complete Randomised Design used in this study. Six treatments with 4 replications consist of CJ1:commercial ration feed + 2% ginger + light 1L: 3D, CJ2:commercial ration feed + 2% ginger + light 1L: 2D, KC1:commercial ration feed + 0.2% turmeric + light 1L: 3D, KC2:commercial ration feed + 0.2% turmeric + light 1L: 2D, SC1:commercial ration feed + 3% greetings + light 1L: 3D, SC2:commercial ration feed + 3% greetings + 1L light: 2D. Varibles consist of of internal organ weight: percentage of weight of liver, heart, spleen, gizzard, and intestine. Analysis of variance was applied in this study. The results of this study showed that there was no effect of giving various herbal materials and lighting on the percentage of organ weight in heart, liver, gizzard, intestine and lymph. (p> 0.05). Keywords: broiller, feed additive, herbal,  internal organ, lighting ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pakan tambahan yaitu jahe, kunyit, dan salam dalam ransum dan perlakuan pencahayaan terhadap persentase bobot organ dalam yaitu : hati, jantung, limpa, ampela, dan usus. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah 100 ekor DOC unsex. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Racangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pola faktorial menggunakan 6 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan dalam  penelitian ini adalah CJ1 : pakan ransum komersial + 2% jahe + cahaya 1L : 3D, CJ2 : pakan ransum komersial + 2% jahe + cahaya 1L : 2D, KC1 : pakan ransum komersial + 0,2% kunyit + cahaya 1L : 3D, KC2 : pakan ransum komersial + 0,2% kunyit +  cahaya 1L : 2D, SC1 : pakan ransum komersial + 3% salam + cahaya 1L : 3D, SC2 : pakan ransum komersial + 3%  salam + cahaya 1L : 2D. Variabel penelitian yang diukur adalah persentase bobot organ dalam : persentase bobot hati, jantung, limpa, ampela, dan usus. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisi menggunakan sidik ragam (ANOVA) dengan taraf 5%, Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan, tidak ada pengaruh dari pemberian berbagai bahan herbal dan pencahayaan terhadap persentase bobot organ dalam  jantung, hati, ampela, usus dan limfa. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to find out the use of Vertebrata Gembira Loka Zoo albums in on science process skills and affective learning outcomes through lesson study. The subjects of the study were XIPA 1 students in SMA Negeri 1 Godong. Purposive sampling is used in this research as sampling technique. The instrument of data retrieval consists of observation sheet. Based on the analysis, the result of students’ science process skills in the first meeting was 55.00% and the second meeting was result 61.67% and those are classified as poor category and “quite well” category respectively. The first affective learning gave 2.60 outcome which classified as “enough” predicate then the second meeting increased to  3.00 and classified as “good” predicate. Based on the results of the study concluded that the utilization of Vertebrata Gembira Loka Zoo albums through lesson study has a positive effect on students' science process skills and affective learning outcomes. Keywords: affective learning result, Gembira Loka Zoo Vertebrata album, lesson study, science process skill. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan Album Vertebrata Gembira Loka Zoo terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar afektif melalui lesson study. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X IPA 1 di SMA Negeri 1 Godong. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Instrumen pengambil data penelitian terdiri atas lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat diketahui pada pertemuan pertama keterampilan proses sains siswa diperoleh nilai sebesar 55,00% dalam kategori kurang, sedangkan pertemuan kedua sebesar 61,67% masuk dalam kategori cukup baik. Hasil belajar afektif pertama sebesar 2,60 termasuk dalam predikat cukup, sedangkan pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 3,00 termasuk dalam predikat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan Album Vertebrata Gembira Loka Zoo melalui Lesson Study memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa dan hasil belajar afektif. Kata kunci : hasil belajar afektif,  album Vertebrata Gembira Loka Zoo , lesson study, keterampilan proses sains

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study aims to determine the effect of Problem Based Instruction learning model on the concept of pollution to the problem solving ability of high school students. This research is a kind of quantitative research. Population in this research is student of class X SMA Negeri 1 Lohbener. Cluster random sampling technique was taken by two classes and obtained by X-MIPA 4 students as experiment class by using Problem Based Instruction and X-MIPA 2 as control class by using discussion method. The instrument used is in the form of five essay questions in accordance with the problem-solving indicator that is restricted to the C3-C5 cognitive domain that has been tested for its validity and reliability. After a different treatment, each posttest is given. Based on the result of the research, the average value of experimental class is 72.25 and the control class average 58.95. Then by using t test, obtained tcount = 4.092> ttabel = 1.680. Based on hypothesis testing can be stated that Ho is rejected. So that the problem-based instruction model influences student's problem solving abilities. Keywords: pollution, problem based instruction, and problem solving ability.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction pada konsep pencemaran terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA. Bentuk penelitian eksperimen berdesain postest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Lohbener. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara cluster random sampling diambil dua kelas dan didapatkan siswa kelas X–MIPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah berupa lima soal essai sesuai dengan indikator pemecahan masalah yang dibatasi pada ranah kognitif C3-C5 yang telah diuji validitas dan reabilitasnya. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan yang berbeda, masing-masing diberikan posttes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 72,25 dan rata-rata kelas kontrol 58,95. Kemudian dengan menggunakan uji t, diperoleh thitung=4,092 > ttabel=1,680, maka H0diterima. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Kata Kunci: pencemaran, problem based instruction, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

ABSTRACTMagelang duck is the Indonesian wild duck that have high egg and meat production. To increase egg production hence in this research magelang ducks are supplemented with curcumin and exposure of white and red light.  The aim of the research to study growth beak duckling from parental magelang ducks that supplemented curcumin and red light exposure. The research design used  complete randomized design from fourdifferents group of ducks, i.e., A0B0 (duck without curcumin and white light exposure), A0B1 (duck without curcumin and red light exposure), A0B1 (curcumin dose of 18 mg/duck/day and white light exposure and A1B1 (curcumin dose 18 mg/duck/day and red light exposure). Five female ducklings were taken from each group and their morphometry were measured. The variables of this research were the length, width and height of beaks. The collected data were analized with Kruskal-Wallis non parametric test and would be further tested with Mann-Whitney-U test. The result of this research showed that curcumin supplementaion and red light exposure in ducks affected the magelang ducklings beak growth. Keywords : beaks, curcumin, growth, magelang ducks, red light. ABSTRAKItik magelang merupakan itik liar asli Indonesia yang memiliki produksi telur dan daging relatif tinggi. Untuk meningkatkan produksi telur maka pada penelitian ini itik magelang diberi suplementasi kurkumin serta pajanan cahaya putih dan merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian kurkumin serta cahaya putih dan merah pada induk terhadap pertumbuhan paruh anak itik magelang. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang berasal dari empat induk yang berbeda, yaitu induk A0B0 (tanpa diberi kurkumin dan dipapar cahaya putih),  A0B1 (tanpa diberi kurkumin dan  dipapar cahaya merah), A1B0 (dosis kurkumin 18 mg/ekor/hari dan paparan cahaya putih) dan A1B1 (dosis kurkumin 18 mg/ekor/hari pada cahaya merah). Masing-masing kelompok induk diambil lima ekor anak itik untuk diukur paruhnya. Variabel yang diamati berupa pengukuran panjang, lebar, dan tebal paruh. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji non parametrik Kruskal-Wallis dan diuji lanjut menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney-U. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi kurkumin dan pajanan cahaya putih serta merah pada induk secara umum dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan paruh anak itik. Kata kunci: paruh, kurkumin, pertumbuhan, itik magelang, cahaya merah.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to find out the effect of adding pineapple extract and time of cooking to produce a milk tofu which contains high protein and organoleptic property. This study uses a RAL factorial 4 x 2 which the first factor is addition of some extracts (extract of pineapple pulp 45cc and 55cc also extracts of pineapple rind 45cc) and the second factor is time of cooking (20 minutes and 30 minutes). The variables measured are protein content and organoleptic property of the milk tofu. The result shows that the addition of pineapple extract and time of cooking have significant value (P <0.05) in protein content and organoleptic property of milk tofu. The addition of 45cc/liter pineapple pulp extract and 30 minutes of cooking produce milk tofu with the highest protein content and most preferred organoleptic. Keywords: milk tofu organoleptic, time of cooking, pineapple extract, protein content ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak nanas dan lama pemasakan untuk menghasilkan tahu susu yang mengandung protein tinggi dan sifat organoleptik. Penelitian ini menggunakan RAL pola faktorial 4 x 2, dengan faktor pertama penambahan ekstrak (ekstrak daging buah nanas 45cc, ekstrak daging buah nanas 55cc, dan ekstrak kulit nanas 45cc) dan faktor kedua lama pemasakan (20 menit dan 30 menit). Variabel yang diamati adalah kandungan protein dan sifat organoleptik tahu susu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan ekstrak nanas dan lama pemasakan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kadar protein dan sifat organoleptik tahu susu. Penambahan ekstrak daging buah nanas 45cc/liter dan dipanaskan selama 30 menit menghasilkan tahu susu dengan kadar protein tertinggi serta menghasilkan organoleptik yang paling disukai. Kata kunci : organoleptik tahu susu, lama pemasakan, ekstrak nanas, kadar protein

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was held in May 2016 and finished in June 2016. The objective of this research are to find out the diversity and the distribution of Mollusca on the Bondo beach and Prawean Bandengan Beach in Jepara. The method of obtaining the data is Line Transek and it is assisted with kuadran technique along 26 meters. The location is divided by two stations. The first station is on Bondo beach and the second station is on Prawean Bandengan beach. Each station consists of 5 transek. The distance of each transek is 50 meters. Each transek consists of 5 kuadran. The used kuadran is 2x2m2in size. The distance of each kuadran is 5 meters. The result in this research is the diversity level that consists of Shanon-Winner Index, equalization index, equation index, differentiation index and distribution of Mollusca which use descriptive analysis. The result shows that 11 species were found in Bondo beach and Prawean Bandengan Beach are classified as medium category in Mollusca diversity level categories which the diversity index (H’) in Bondo Beach and Prawean Bandengan Beach were 1,58 and 2,09 respectively. Mollusca were found at the different substrate like dead coral, rubble, sand, muddy sand and logs. Keywords : Bondo Beach, Diversity, Distribution, Mollusca, and Prawean Bandengan Beach ABSTRAKPenelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2016 sampai dengan bulan Juni 2016 bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis dan persebaran mollusca di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan Kabupaten Jepara. Pengambilan data kenanekaragaman jenis dan persebaran mollusca dilakukan dengan metode line transek berbantu kuadrat sepanjang 26 meter. Lokasi dibagi menjadi 2 stasiun. Stasiun 1 di Pantai Bondo dan stasiun 2 di Pantai Prawean Bandengan. Setiap stasiun terdiri dari 5 transek. Jarak antar transek yaitu 50 meter. Setiap transeknya terdiri 5 kuadrat. Kuadrat yang digunakan yaitu 2x2m2. Jarak tiap kuadrat yaitu 5 meter. Data yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat keanekaragaman jenis meliputi Indeks Shanon-Winner, Indeks Kemerataan, Indeks Kesamaan dan Ketidaksamaan dan persebaran mollusca . Adapun analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan Kabupaten Jepara ditemukan 11 spesies, dengan nilai tingkat keanekaragaman jenis mollusca di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan termasuk kedalam kategori melimpah sedang, dengan indeks keanekaragaman jenis (H’) di Pantai Bondo sebesar 1,58 dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan sebesar 2,09. Mollusca di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan ditemukan pada substrat yang berbeda-beda yaitu karang mati, pecahan karang, pasir, pasir berlumpur dan batang kayu. Kata kunci : Pantai Bondo, kenaekaragaman jenis, persebaran, Mollusca, , dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan.

Abstract

Operating thread needs in Indonesia to increase, but until now to supply the needs of operating threads absorbed (can be integrated with the body) still depends on imported products that are expensive. To reduce Indonesia's dependence on biomaterials imports in the field of biomedicine, it can be done through the engineering of operating yarn production absorbed from Indonesia's natural resources. Poly Lactic Acid (PLA) is a polymer that is widely applied as a biomaterial in biomedical fields such as operating threads. In this research, absorbable suture was made from poly lactic acid poly polymer blend from water hyacinth with natural glucomannan polymer of iles-iles. The aim of the study was to study: 1) the effect of polymerization reaction time on PLA yields and 2) the effect of poly lactic acid-glucomannan composition on the mechanical properties of operating threads. Making PLA using the ring opening polymerization method and making yarn using the wet spinning method. The independent variables at the manufacturing stage of the PLA polymer are reaction time = 60, 90, 120, and 150 minutes, while for the variable at the stage of operation yarn making is the ratio between the PLA period: glucomannan = (1: 3); (1: 2); ( 1: 1); (2: 1); (3: 1). The results showed that: 1) reaction time had a very significant effect on yield PLA and 2) different composition of poly lactic acid - glucomannan gave different tensile strength and tensile elongation values. Keywords: water hyacinth, poly lactic acid, glucomannan, operating thread
