Abstract

This study aims to test the correlation of civic knowledge towards political participation at Law and Civic students in Malang State University. Quantitative research with this survey design uses stratifiedproportionalrandomsampling.Theresultsshowthatthelevel of civic knowledge is intermediate, and the level of political participation is high. Hypothesis testing proves that there is a strong correlation of civic knowledge towards political participation at Law and Civic students. This strong correlation indicates that the level of civic knowledge can be one of the factors that can influence the high level of student participation.

Abstract

This study discusses in absentia trial system for traffic violations in Indonesia, proofing in traffic violations, and whether or not there is a need to prove errors in traffic violations. This study uses a normative juridical method with a legislative approach. The regulation of in absentia trial system has three requirements. First, absolute in absentia trial system. Second, the judge examines, adjudicates, and decides cases without the presence of the offender. Third, the offender is not called to attend the trials. Proofing of traffic violations has resulted from a valid evidence coupled with the judge's conviction. The faults of offenders in traffic violations must still be proven, not enough just by action.

Abstract

This study discusses the creation and realization of the principle of justice and the balance of limited partnership deed (commanditaire vennootschap) based on mudharabah contracts. The method uses normative legal research to analyze the principle of justice in contracts based on mudharabah contracts on the formation of limited partnership through literature review and exploring positive laws that apply. The results show the principle of justice and balance in forming a limited partnership using the mudharabah contract is reflected if one form of cooperation is based on a sense of help and its implementation fulfills the principle of fairness both in determining profits, losses, and relating to the termination of the cooperation agreement.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the procedures for the financial accountability of political parties obtained from the State Budget (APBN) or the Local Government Budget (APBD) and the substance of the political party accountability report. The study method uses sociological juridical with case studies. Data collection uses interviews and documentation studies. Political parties obtain funds sourced from the APBN or APBD according to the number of votes obtained at the national level (DPR), provincial (Provincial DPRD), and city/regency (City/Regency DPRD). The use of funds following regulations must allocate a minimum of 60% for political education. Political parties must report financial accountability to the government and the public. Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) audit the financial report. The financial report of political parties in the province is transparent. Financial report has been reported to the government and the public by political parties. The report is not yet sufficiently accountable because the use of finance is still not under the party's statutes/by-laws.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Student Facilitator and Explaining learning models in the Nusantara Awareness material to student learning outcomes. This study use classroom action research with two cycles. Data collection is done through observation, assessment of learning outcomes, and reflection. Data analysis uses interactive analysis and descriptive statistics. The application of the Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model uses three steps, i.e., the transmission of material, the formation of groups, and students (facilitators) explaining the material to other students. The analysis shows that the psychomotor learning outcomes of students in the first cycle reached 80% with a good category. Psychomotor learning outcomes of students in the second cycle reached 83% or in the excellent category. The application of Student Facilitator and Explaining learning models can improve the learning outcomes of PPKn in vocational students..

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze legal protection for banks as holders of legal guarantees for land and buildings owned by debtors that were confiscated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The research used juridical-normative type. The research used statute approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. This study used domain analysis techniques. The results showed that if the KPK confiscated the land and / or buildings of the debtor owner, the Bank, as the holder of the guarantee of the rights to the land and buildings, would receive legal protection both preventively and repressively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explain the feasibility of learning using the team games tournament-based Ranking One Civic Education (ROCE) model in teaching and learning activities on Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) subjects and to analyze the improvement of student learning outcomes after the ROCE Game-based learning method was applied to PPKn subjects. This study used a classroom action research approach with qualitative and quantitative data as material for analysis. This study used two cycles with two meetings for each cycle. As for the process of implementing the ROCE Game, it was found that 13-14 indicators were carried out well in cycle I, while in the learning process in cycle II, an average of 15 indicators were obtained from a total of 17 indicators of learning implementation by teachers. In the first cycle, an average of 11 indicators was obtained and in the second cycle, an average of 12-13 indicators was obtained from a total of 14 indicators of learning implementation by students. The increase in learning outcomes taken based on the post-test score in cycle I was 77.7 percent, then an increase in the post-test score in cycle II became 86.1 percent. So, tournament-based teams games learning model Ranking One Civic Education could increase student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the procedures for implementing land consolidation programs and analyzing legal protections for land rights holders who were harmed in land consolidation programs. The approach used in the research was sociological juridical, with a type of empirical juridical research. Data sources came from data obtained directly from the public or commonly referred to as primary data and other data obtained from library materials or commonly referred to as secondary data. The procedure of implementation of the land consolidation program was carried out through several stages, namely the selection of location and area of the location, socialization, the creation of agreement letters and declarations of the release of land rights, inventory, and the issuance and delivery of certificates. Legal protection for land rights holders who were harmed in the land consolidation program was guided by Article 18 of the Constitution, which stated that landowners were entitled to appropriate compensation if in the implementation of the land consolidation program found burdensome things even cause losses.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of motivation achievement and academic achievement on citizenship problem-solving. This study used a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The research population was 704 students of State University of Malang, namely students which were taking Civics Education courses in the even semester of the academic year 2018/2019. The sample consisted of 70 students that were chosen by a purposive random sampling technique. Data collection was done by questionnaire, documentation, and essay test. Questionnaires were used to measure achievement motivation, documentation was used to obtain academic achievement data, and essay tests to measure problem-solving abilities. Data analysis used multiple regression with the SPSS application. The results of the study indicated that achievement motivation influenced the ability to solve citizenship problems. Academic achievement affected the ability to solve citizenship problems. Simultaneously, achievement motivation and academic achievement together affected the ability to solve citizenship problems.

Abstract

Japanese culture is highly respected and maintained by its citizens. This study aimed to discuss the existence of Japan between 1944 and 1985 and the national identity of the Japanese people. The study used a non-interactive qualitative approach. This study used a non-interactive qualitative research approach, identified and researched concepts, then analyzed data and information about the history and existence of the Japanese nation including its development globally in the midst of international life. Japan, between 1944 and 1985, had entered a new era after the human tragedy, namely the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Since the tragedy, Japan had undergone significant changes, namely better infrastructure. Besides, the Japanese were increasingly realizing that they were actually part of Asia. On this basis, the Japanese were called the Neoppons or the New Japanese. Japan’s unique national identity was reflected in the wa-ism philosophy, which was a concept of harmony between individuals and members of society.
