Abstract

The study is titled implementation of biosecurity on broiler farms in partnership Tabanan and Gianyar regency. The research was conducted in the village and the village of Tabanan district Selanbawak  and  Petak Kaja village of Gianyar district which lasted for three months from the month of February until April 2012. The study site selection using the "purposive", and the determination of respondents defined by the census method is a way of making the response and by taking all populations (Singarimbun and Effendi, 1989). Respondents of the study amounted to 49 farmers who are all broiler breeder two villages in both districts. This study aims to determine the level of implementation of biosecurity on broiler farms in partnership Tabanan and Gianyar.  The data used in this study is primary data obtained directly in the field and using secondary data is the result of the project the Australian Center for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) Ah/2006/169 on a cheap and effective biosecurity for broiler breeders in sector 3 Indonesia (commercial farms that implement biosecurity very simple). The measurement variables using scores from the data obtained. Data processing and analysis using descriptive statistics. Each of these respondents were grouped into five categories da were scored. This score is expressed in whole numbers 1,2,3,4, and 5 for each answer. The values ??are then grouped into 3 sections in accordance with the implementation of bio-security in Pre Entry, Point of Entry, and Post Entry is then the value in each group was summed and averaged and then analyzed using SPSS 16 with Independent Sample Test. These results indicate that the level of implementation of biosecurity on broiler farms in partnership Selanbawak Village Tabanan better at Pre Entry (P<0.05), than in the Village Petak Kaja Gianyar regency. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan teknologi fermentasi ransum dengan inokulan dari cairan rumen dan rayap (Termites sp) terhadap kandungan nutrien ransum sapi bali berbasis limbah pertanian dan untuk mengetahui formula inokulan yang mampu menghasilkan ransum dengan kandungan nutrien yang lebih baik. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan,. Perlakuan terdiri atas: ransum tanpa fermentasi (RB0), ransum terfermentasi inokulan mengandung 10% cairan rumen dan 0,3% rayap (RBR1T3), ransum terfermentasi inokulan mengandung 20% cairan rumen dan 0,2% rayap (RBR2T2), ransum terfermentasi inokulan mengandung 20% cairan rumen dan 0,3% rayap (RBR2T3). Variabel yang diamati pada penelitian ini adalah kandungan bahan kering (BK), abu, bahan organik (BO), protein kasar (PK), dan serat kasar (SK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan RBR2T2 dan RBR2T3 nyata (P<0,05) memiliki kandungan bahan kering yang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan perlakuan RB0 tetapi berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) dengan RBR1T3. Perlakuan RBR2T3 mempunyai kandungan serat kasar yang nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah 32,94%, 11,68%, dan 7,94% dari perlakuan RB0, RBR1T3, dan RBR2T2. Perlakuan RBR2T3 nyata (P<0,05) memiliki kandungan protein kasar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan RB0 dan RBR1T3, namun berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) dengan perlakuan RBR2T2. Sedangkan terhadap kadar abu dan kadar bahan organik pada ransum, semua perlakuan mempunyai nilai yang berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa fermentasi ransum sapi bali berbasis limbah pertanian menggunakan inokulan dari cairan rumen dan rayap dapat menurunkan kandungan serat kasar serta meningkatkan kandungan protein kasar tetapi tidak mempengaruhi kandungan abu dan bahan organik serta fermentasi ransum dengan inokulan 20% cairan rumen dan 0,3% rayap (RBR2T3) mampu menghasilkan ransum dengan kandungan bahan kering dan serat kasar yang lebih rendah dan kandungan protein kasar lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan yang lain.

Abstract

Nutrition in eggs is very important to know to improve the public health. This study aims to determine the effect of the level of extract of garlic water (Allium sativum) on protein, fat and cholesterol contents of laying chicken eggs of Lohmann Brown aged 22-30 weeks. This research was conducted for 3 months at laying chicken farm in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Subdistrict, Tabanan Regency. 36 laying chickens of Lohmann Brown with a homogeneous weight were raised in 18 squares of colony batray cages. The design used in this study was a complete randomized design (RAL) with 3 treatments and 6 replications.The treatment consisted of drinking water without additional garlic water extract (B0) as control, drinking water with 3% extract of garlic water (B1), and drinking water with additional garlic extract of 6% (B2). The variables observed in this study were dry weight of egg yolks, egg yolk protein content, fat content and yolk cholesterol content. The results showed that on treatment of B1 and B2 significantly (P <0.05) increased the yolk protein content compared with B0 as the control. But in the fat content and yolk cholesterol decreased compared with chicken that was not given garlic water extract (Allium sativum) B0 as control. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the giving of garlic extract (Allium sativum) with 3% level and 6% through drinking water can increase protein content and decrease fat content and cholesterol of chicken egg yolks of Lohmann Brown aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggantian tepung ikan dengan tepung keong mas dalam ransum terhadap potongan karkas komersial itik bali jantan umur 10 minggu. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan dan setiap perlakuan terdiri dari empat ulangan. Setiap ulangan terdiri dari satu ekor itik. Perlakuan tersebut adalah perlakuan R0 sebagai kontrol (penggunaan 15% tepung ikan dalam ransum tanpa tepung keong mas), sedangkan R1, R2, R3 dan R4 mengandung tepung keong mas masing-masing 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100% sebagai pengganti tepung ikan. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat hidup, persentase karkas dan persentase potongan karkas komersial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggantian tepung ikan dengan tepung keong mas dalam ransum terhadap berat hidup, persentase karkas dan persentase potongan karkas komersial itik bali jantan dengan pemberian 25%, 50%, 75% dan 100% tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) daripada R0. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung keong mas pada ransum dapat menggantikan keseluruhan penggunaan tepung ikan dan tidak mempengaruhi potongan karkas komersial itik bali jantan umur 10 minggu. Abstract

Banana stems have the potential as a source of feed because of its high rate of production, but it is easily spoiled due to it containing high level of water content. Because of this, it is necessary to use alternatives process such as silage. The purpose of this study is to identify the adequate level of Clitoria ternatea addition into banana stem silage that was measured through in vitro digestibility. The silage was created at the Universitas Udayana Faculty of Husbandry’s Sesetan Farm, which is at Sesetan Street, Substreet of Markisa, Denpasar, for 4 weeks. The in-vitro digestibility analysis was conducted at the Universitas Udayana Faculty of Husbandry’s Nutrition and Animal Feed Laboratory for 12 weeks. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used in this experiment with 4 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatment consists of A (65% banana stem + 30% pollard + 5% (mollases+EM4)), B (55% banana stem + 10% C. ternatea + 30% pollard + 5% (mollases+EM4)), C (45% banana stem + 20% C. ternatea + 30% pollard + 5% (mollases+EM4)), and D (35% banana stem + 30% C. ternatea + 30% pollard + 5% (mollases+EM4)). The variables measured were the dry matter digestibility, organic matter digestibility, nitrogen free extract/NFE, and total digestible nutrients/TDN. The results showed that the dry matter and organic matter digestibility percentage increase has a significantly (P<0.05) and treatment D shows the highest increase for dry matter and organic matter digestibility of 70.40% and 73.08%, respectively. Nitrogen free extracts and total digestible nutrients showed that no significantly (P>0.05), but quantitatively increases with treatment D having the highest rate of nitrogen free extracts and total of digestible nutrients of 38.39% and 78.58%, respectively. The concluded of this study showed that the highest rate of dry matter and organic matter digestibility increased by adding 20% of Clitoria ternatea. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan nutrien dan populasi bakteri biosuplemen yang diproduksi melalui proses fermentasi menggunakan inokulan cacing tanah (Lumbricus rubellus). Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Kelima perlakuan tersebut terdiri atas SB0 sebagai biosuplemen kontrol tanpa difermentasi inokulan cacing tanah (Lumbricus rubellus) dan SB1, SB2, SB3 serta SB4 yang masing-masing diproduksi melalui proses fermentasi menggunakan inokulan BC1, BC2, BC3 dan BC4 {inokulan yang diproduksi dari 1, 2, 3 dan 4 gram cacing tanah (Lumbricus rubellus) per liter}. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitan ini adalah kandungan bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar, serat kasar, lemak kasar, kalsium, fosfor, serta populasi total bakteri, bakteri selulolitik, bakteri xylanolitik dan bakteri amilolitik biosuplemen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inokulan BC1, BC2, BC3 dan BC4 yang digunakan dalam proses fermentasi biosuplemen berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kandungan bahan kering, bahan organik, serat kasar, protein kasar dan populasi bakteri, serta tidak berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kandungan lemak kasar, kalsium dan fosfor biosuplemen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa fermentasi menggunakan inokulan cacing tanah (Lumbricus rubellus) mampu menghasilkan biosuplemen berbasis limbah dan gulma tanaman pangan dengan kandungan nutrien dan populasi bakteri pendegradasi serat, serta rendah serat kasar.

Abstract

This study aims to know about production management of broiler parent stock in PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. Poultry Breeding Division Pupuan 1, village Batungsel, district Pupuan, Tabanan Regency, Bali Province has been executed for 3 weeks, starting from 16 October-4 November 2017. The data collected in this study consisted of primary data obtained by direct survey, interview and observation techniques, and secondary data obtained through notes or reports from other reliable sources. The variables observed in this study are the general description of the company; maintenance management of broiler parent stock consisting of sanitation, feed, drinking water, litter, lighting, ventilation, and density; as well as the percentage of egg production and hatching egg. The results showed that the management of broiler parent stock production in PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. Poultry Breeding Division Pupuan 1 consisting of sanitation, feeding, drinking, litter, lighting, ventilation and density is done well based on the standard operational procedure as well as able to hiigh produce of the percentage egg production and hatching egg. PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk. Poultry Breeding Division Pupuan 1 is performed well, shown by a high production quantity followed by the percentage of hatching egg produced. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama penyimpanan terhadap kualitas telur ayam kampung dari kelompok peternak ayam buras mertasari Abiansemal Badung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Ternak dan Mikrobiologi Fakultas Peternakan selama 1 bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel telur ayam kampung sebanyak 60 butir. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan yaitu penyimpanan 0 hari, penyimpanan selama 7 hari, 14 hari dan 21 hari disimpan pada suhu kamar rata-rata 250C  dan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Variabel yang diamati pada uji kualitas telur adalah ; berat telur, indeks bentuk telur, tebal kulit telur, berat kulit telur, warna kuning telur, Haugh Unit telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama penyimpanan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap warna kuning telur dan Haugh Unit telur. Sedangkan terhadap berat telur, indeks bentuk telur, berat kulit telur dan tebal kulit telur tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang nyata (P>0,05). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyimpanan telur ayam kampung yang dipelihara dari kelompok peternak ayam buras Mertasari Abiansemal Badung yang disimpan selama 7, 14 dan 21 hari masih memiliki kualitas internal yang baik berdasarkan nilai HU 72,68 tergolong kualitas AA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of use mineral-vitamin complex in the diets on the weight of the slaughter and carcass of the pig breed from the age of 6 months. This research was conducted for 16 weeks in banjar lebah jadi, village jadi, Kediri, Tabanan. The design used was Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 3 treatments and 4 replications/blocks, clustering based on weight. The treatments were attempted diets without of mineral-vitamin complex as the control (A), the diets with 0.10% mineral supplementation-vitamin complex (B), and 0.20% diets supplemented mineral-vitamin complex (C). The variables observed in this study were cutting weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and back fat thickness. The result showed that the use mineral-vitamin complex at the level of 0,10 % and 0,20 % was not significantly different (P>0,05) in the cutting weight and carcass weight, in the percentage of carcasses there was an increase in treatment A and statistically significantly different (P<0,05). The use of mineral-vitamin complex 0,10 % and 0,20 % there was a decrease in back fat thickness of 17,0 % and 21,0 % of treatment A and was statistically significantly different (P<0,05). Based on the results of the above research, it can be concluded that diets using mineral-vitamin complex as much as 0,20 % in crossbred pigs can increase the percentage of carcess and reduce the back fat thickness Keywords : cutting weight, carcass, cross breed pigs, mineral-vitamin complex
