Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performans burung puyuh umur 0-4 minggu yang diberi larutan kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val.) pada air minum. yang berlangsung selama 4 minggu. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan larutan kunyit pada air minum terdiri dari A: tanpa larutan kunyit, B:1% larutan kunyit, dan C: 2% larutan kunyit. Kunyit yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rimpang kunyit. Variabel yang diamati meliputi Berat badan awal, berat badan akhir, konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, dan Feed conversion ratio (FCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian 1 - 2 % larutan kunyit (B dan C) pada air minum mampu meningkatkan konsumsi ransum sebesar 6,35% - 16,78% dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A (tanpa larutan kunyit), namun perlakuan tanpa larutan kunyit, 1% dan 2 % (A, B, C) belum mampu meningkatkan konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, dan menurunkan nilai feed conversion ratio (FCR). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa burung puyuh yang diberikan larutan kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val) sebanyak 1% (B) dan 2% (C) melalui air minum dapat meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, dan belum mampu meningkatkan konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, dan menurunkan nilai feed conversion ratio (FCR). Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the performance of quails aged 1 - 5 weeks which were given dragon fruit peel juice through drinking water. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications, each of which consisted of 5 quails. This study used 80 quails of Cotunix coturnix japonica which were 1 week old. The treatments given were: drinking water without dragon fruit peel juice (P0), drinking water with 1% dragon fruit peel juice (P1), drinking water with 2% dragon fruit peel juice (P2), drinking water with 3% dragon fruit peel juice (P3). The variables observed included initial body weight, ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain, final body weight and FCR. The results showed that each variable of initial weight, ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain, final body weight and FCR treatment 0%, 1%, 2% and 3% were not significantly different (P>0.05). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the provision of dragon fruit peel juice 1%, 2% and 3% through drinking water does not affect ration consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain, final body weight and FCR in Coturnix coturnix japonica quails aged 1-5 weeks. Abstract

This study aims to determine the egg quality of Japanese quail (Coturnix-coturnix japonica) given dragon fruit peel juice in drinking water. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four (4) treatments and four (4) replications, each replication consisted of 5 quails aged 6-10 weeks. The four treatments were: P0: drinking water without dragon fruit peel juice or control, P1: drinking water given dragon fruit peel juice as much as 1%, P2: drinking water given dragon fruit peel juice as much as 2%, P3: drinking water given dragon fruit skin juice as much as 3%. The variables observed were egg weight, egg shell weight, egg shell thickness, egg white weight, egg yolk weight, egg yolk color, HU (Haugh Unit), egg pH. The results obtained from the treatment of P0 drinking water without dragon fruit peel juice, P1 (1% dragon fruit peel juice on drinking water), P2 (2% dragon fruit peel juice on drinking water), P3 (3% dragon fruit peel juice on drinking water). That showed eggs quality such as: egg weight, egg shell eight, egg shell thickness, egg white weight, egg yolk weight, egg yolk color, HU (Haugh Unit) and pH were not statistically significant (P>0,05) between treatments. The conclusion of this study is giving gragon fruit peel juice 0%, 1%, 2%, and 3% through drinking water had the same value on in japanese quail (Coturnix-coturnix japonica) eggs. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of giving lysine and methionine amino acid through drinking water on carcass and commercial carcass pieces of broiler age of 32 weeks. It was conducted in the cage owned by Mr. I Made Arcana located in Candikusma Village, Jembrana for 32 days. This research was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and four replications and in each replication used 12 heads of DOC CP 707 with an average body weight of 49.27 ± 0.90g. The treatments were : P0 = broiler without lysine and methionine amino acids in drinking water, P1 = broiler that given 0.02% lysine and methionine amino acid in drinking water, P2 = broiler that given 0.025% lysine and methionine amino acids in drinking water, and P3 = broiler that given 0.03% lysine and methionine amino acids in drinking water . The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and the percentage of breast, wing, upper thigh, and lower thigh. The results showed that the treatments of P1, P2, and P3 could increase slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and wing percentage, statistically significantly different (P<0.05). While the percentage of the chest, upper thigh, lower thigh and back statistically were not significantly different (P>0.05). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the administration of 0.02 - 0.03% lysine and methionine amino acids in drinking water can increase slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and wing percentage, but not significantly effect on the percentage of breast, upper thigh, lower thigh, and back of broilers aged of 32 days. Abstract

This study to determine the production performance of broiler farms kept in closed house cages. This research was conducted in a closed house system with a capacity of 12,000 chickens at Arcana Farm located in Candikusuma Village, Melaya District, Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, for 2 months from December 2020 to February 2021. The variables observed in this study are body weight gain, feed consumption, depletion, feed conversion ratio (FCR), performance index (IP), cost, revenue, Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio), and BEP. The results of this study showed that the average weight of chickens at 33 days of age was 1.790 kg/head, the average body weight gain was 1.754 kg/head, the average ration consumption was 2.696 kg/head, the average FCR value was 1.53 with an R/C ratio of 1, 17, depletion 2.79% and the average performance index of chickens 366,8. Investment costs incurred are Rp. 547.565.000,- total production costs are Rp. 320.059.955/period, the net income of farmers is Rp. 53.597.345/period. This effort reached BEP on the production of 2,261 kg of live chickens or 1,263 chickens and the selling price of chickens was Rp. 14,634/kg live weight. The results of this study indicate that the broiler farming business that is kept in closed cages with a partnership pattern is good and feasible to do. Key words: chicken broilers, closed house

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kualitas fisik daging broiler yang diberi asam amino lisin dan metionin melalui air minum dalam kandang closed house. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancanga Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu: perlakuan A kontrol (ayam broiler tanpa pemberian asam amino lisin dan metionin), B (pemberian asam amino lisin dan metionin sebanyak 0,02%), C (pemberian asam amino lisin dan metionin sebanyak 0,025%), D (pemberian asam amino lisin dan metionin sebanyak 0,03%). Masing-masing perlakuan memiliki 4 ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan 12 ekor ayam broiler. Variabel yang diamati adalah pH daging, daya ikat air, susut mentah dan susut masak. Data yang dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa pH daging broiler yang diberi asam amino lisin dan metionin pada kadar 0,025% menunjukan hasil yang berbeda nyata (P<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian asam amino lisin dan metionin pada kadar 0,025% melalui air minum memberikan pengaruh nyata pada niali pH daging dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya ikat air, susut mentah dan susut masak. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect ofthe effect of giving turmeric extrack to drinking water of quails on the percentage of carcass and commercial carcass parts. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 6 replications, each replication containing 3 quails. Consisting of R0: quail given drinking water without turmeric extract (control), R1: quail given drinking water plus 1% turmeric extract, R2: Quail given drinking water plus 2% turmeric extract. The turmeric used in this study is the turmeric rhizome. The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and carcass cuts percentage which included chest, upper thigh, lower thigh, wing, and back. The results showed that quails that were given turmeric extract as much as 1% and 2% in drinking water had slaughter weights, carcass weights, carcass percentages, and commercial carcass cut percentages which were not significantly different (P>0.05) compared to controls. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of 1% and 2% turmeric extract in drinking water did not affect slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and carcass pieces of 8 weeks old quail. Abstract

Penetilian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa produksi, pendapatan, R/C ratio, dan titik impas, usaha peternakan babi perbibitan Ditha Cahya Farm. Penelitian ini dimulai dari bulan September sampai dengan bulan November 2020 di peternakan Ditha Cahya Farm yang berlokasi di Desa Taman Kecamatan Abiansemal Kabupaten Badung. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder yang diperoleh dari wawancara serta catatan peternak. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi performa produksi, pendapatan, R/C ratio, dan titik impas, usaha peternakan babi perbibitan Ditha Cahya Farm. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produksi anak babi rata-rata sebanyak 768 ekor/tahun dari 106 ekor induk/tahun. Dengan tingkat mortalitas anak babi sebanyak 10%/kelahiran. Anak babi disapih umur 30 hari dengan rata-rata bobot sapih 7,5 kg/ekor. Anak babi akan dijual umur 37-40 hari dengan rata-rata bobot badan 10-12 kg/ekor. Pendapatan dari usaha ini adalah sebanyak Rp 312.762.540,-/tahun dengan R/C ratio sebesar 1,623. Usaha ini akan mencapai titik impas Break Even Point (BEP) ketika produksi anak babi sebanyak 213 ekor/tahun, atau ketika harga anak babi sebesar Rp 652.653/ekor. Break Even Point (BEP) penjualan adalah sebesar Rp 213.000.000,-/tahun. Kata kunci: Performa, Perbibitan, Pendapatan, BEP, R/C ratio

Abstract

fermented bread waste in ration on the carcass composition of male bali ducks (Anas sp.). The research was conducted at the Farm Faculty of Animal Science, Udayana University for 8 weeks. The research used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications, so there were 15 experimental units. Each experimental unit used 3 ducks with a weight range of 50±2 grams. The three treatments were ration without bread waste (Treatment P0), (Treatment P1) ration of 50% corn bran raplanced with fermented bread waste and (Treatment P2) ration that 100% corn bran replaced with fermented bread waste. Variable observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, and carcass physical composition including bone, and fat. The results showed that the P1 and P2 treatments were able to increase the slaughter weight by 7.22% and 14.54% and were able to increase the carcass weight by 7.22% and 15.94% compared to control, but these treatments were not able to increase the percentage of meat, the percentage of carcass, percentage of bone, and percentage of fat male bali ducks (Anas sp.). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the replacement of corn bran in the ration with fermented bread waste flour on the physical composition of the carcass of male Bali ducks (Anas sp.) as much as 100% of bread waste flour has not been able to increase the physical composition of the cut weight and carcass weight, but it has no effect on the physical composition of the carcass of male Bali ducks (Anas sp.). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggantian dedak jagung dalam ransum dengan tepung limbah roti difermentasi terhadap potongan komersial karkas itik bali jantan (Anas sp) umur 8 minggu. Penelitian berlangsung di Laboratorium Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Udayana yang berlokasi di Jalan Raya Sesetan Gang Markisa no 5, Kelurahan Sesetan, Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan, selama 8 minggu. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan sertatiap ulangan berisi 3 ekor itik dengan kisaran berat 50 ±2 g. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah itik bali jantan (Anas sp) yang diberi perlakuan pakan komplit tanpa limbah roti fermentasi (perlakuan A), itik bali jantan (Anas sp) yang diberi pakan komplit dengan limbah roti fermentasi sebagai pengganti 50% dedak jagung (perlakuan B), dan itik bali jantan (Anas sp) yang diberi perlakuan pakan komplit dengan limbah roti fermentasi sebagai pengganti 100% dedak jagung (perlakuan C). Variabel yang diamati adalah berat potong, berat karkas, dan persentase potongan komersial karkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggantian dedak jagung dalam ransum menggunakan tepung limbah roti yang difermentasi sebanyak 50%-100% berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada berat potong, berat karkas, dan persentase potongan komersial karkas pada bagian dada dan punggung sedangkan pada potongan komersial karkas bagian paha atas, paha bawah dan sayap tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggantian dedak jagung dengan 50%-100% tepung limbah roti dapat meningkatkan berat potong, berat karkas dan potongan komersial karkas bagian dada. Namun belum dapat meningkatkan persentase punggung, persentase paha bawah, persentase paha atas dan persentase sayap.
