Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is one of the most important in learning Japanese. Lack of mastery of vocabulary will make students look less active when teaching and learning activities take place. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the crossword puzzle in increasing the mastery of Japanese vocabulary. This research is an experimental study with a Posstest-Only Control Group Design model. The data generated in this study are quantitative data obtained form the results of the post test in class A as an experimental class and class B as a control class. The results of data analysis showed that the level of mastery of vocabulary in the experimental class using crossword puzzles, was higher than the control class using conventional media in the form of lecture activities using textbooks. In addition, The atmosphere of the learning by using crossword media is more interesting and fun. This is confirmed by the average results of the vocabulary test scores in the experimental class at 85.87, while in the control class at 74.8.

Abstract

The application of JF Standard in learning Japanese especially in the Sakubun Shochukyu course is new and needs to be evaluated how the achievement of it’s learning targets. This study aims to find out how the semester 3 students' abilities are in writing. The research uses a quantitative approach and the research data are discussed with descriptive techniques. To assess the results of student essays used essay grading rubric based on JF Standard with 4 grading levels namely ganbare, mousukoshi, dekimashita, and subarashii for each item assessed. The results showed that in general, the students' writing ability was in the "dekimashita" or “very good” category with the note that there were still some errors in using grammar. Statistically, 1 student has a very high ability, 4 students have high ability, 18 students have the medium ability, and the remaining 8 are students who have low ability.

Abstract

Talkshow is one of the activities in the Kaiwa Enshuu course. In these activities, students are required to be able to express their opinions directly in accordance with a predetermined theme. Based on the results of the preliminary study, information was obtained that 34 of the 36 respondents were Japanese Language Education Study Program students in 2014 or 94.4% had difficulty expressing their opinions in talkshow activities. This study aims to determine the difficulties of students in expressing opinions talkshow activities, as well as the factors that cause difficulties and solutions to overcome difficulties. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the 2014 Japanese language study program students who had taken and followed the Kaiwa Enshuu course. Data collection with a semi-open questionnaire. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using the percentage formula. The results showed that students had difficulty in choosing the right and varied vocabulary (71.25 %), compiling effective sentences that had been learned (71.25%). The difficulty factor is the shame factor for fear of making mistakes (70%). The solution to overcome the difficulties of lecturers motivates students to not be shy/reluctant to express their opinions so that students try to practice using Japanese both independently and in groups, besides motivating students to increase their confidence.

Abstract

This study trying to describe the relationship between lexical meaning and the idiomatical meaning of ‘ki’ in the Japanese language idioms and ‘hati’in Indonesian language Idiom by using perspective of cognitive linguistic. This study classified as a basic research category, because this research was conducted to find new theories about how idioms get to motivated from the relationship between lexical meaning and idiomatic meaning in the cognitive linguistics point of view, finds differences and similarities between Japanese and Indonesian idioms. Then contrasted the idioms using the matching techniques of linguistics. From the analysis result, it can be seen that there are idioms from both languages that have different lexical meanings, but have similar idiomatic meanings. That happens because there are similarities between the point of view in looking at the ki and hati, even though there are cultural differences. It was also found that between ki idioms and hati, ki idioms have a more variants, in one category of idioms which has the same idiomatic meaning than hati idioms. Then from both ki idioms and hati idioms, some idioms show an extension of idiomatic meanings that are more broader than the basic idiomatic meanings, where it shows the emergence of polysemic meanings of some ki idioms and hati idioms.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis gaya bahasa yang digunakan dalam debat akademik berbahasa Jepang atau kyouiku dibeeto. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan berupa video kompetisi debat mahasiswa Jepang yang berjudul “dibeeto nyumon jissenhen”. Objek data dalam penelitian ini berupa gaya bahasa debat akademik berbahasa Jepang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak catat dengan kartu data sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 50 data yang menunjukkan penggunaan gaya bahasa. Gaya bahasa tersebut adalah metafora, simile, personifikasi, metonimian, pertanyaan retoris, impilaksi, repetisi, ellipsis, reticence, antithesis, klimaks, ironi dan pastice.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengajaran bahasa diera seperti ini telah memanfaatkan kemajuan teknologi. Namun. pemanfaatan teknologi untuk pendidikan hanya dilakukan oleh beberapa pembelajar saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan hasil belajar dalam kemampuan menulis huruf kanji sesuai dengan urutan penulisan huruf yang tepat, dan (2) mengetahui respon pembelajar terhadap penggunaan kamus digital Akebi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis huruf kanji sesuai dengan urutan penulisan huruf yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 28 pembelajar kelas XI Lintas Minat II SMA Negeri 4 Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dan angket. Kamus digital Akebi sebagai panduan untuk menulis huruf kanji dasar menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada hasil belajar dari pretest ke postest dengan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 74,8. Tanggapan yang diberikan oleh pembelajar terkait penggunaan kamus digital Akebi sebagai panduan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kanji berada pada kriteria tinggi. The implementation of language teaching in this era has taken advantage of technological advances. However. the use of technology for education is only done by a few students. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in the ability to write kanji in accordance with the proper letter writing sequence, and (2) determine the learner's response to the use of the Akebi digital dictionary in improving the ability to write kanji letters according to the proper letter writing sequence. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The sample used in this study was 28 students of Class XI Cross-Interest II of SMA Negeri 4 Malang. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of tests and questionnaires. Akebi's digital dictionary as a guide for writing basic kanji shows an increase in learning outcomes from pretest to posttest with an average posttest score of 74.8. The response given by the learners regarding the use of the Akebi digital dictionary as a guide to improve the ability to write kanji is at high criteria. Abstract

The author conduct this research with the goal to find out the teaching ability of PPL's college students of Japanese language education 2016 UNNES based on self and tutor's assessment. Teaching practice experienced (PPL) is a course with the goal to train college students of educational studies programs to apply they knowledge during lectures in their practice places (school partner) for one and a half months.The approach methode in this research is quantitative descriptive. The sample of this research was 25% of PPL's college students of Japanese language education 2016. The data collection technique used the PPL's assessment scale and questionnaire. The results of data obtained were analyzed used the descriptive percentage techniques.

Abstract

Polisemi (tagigo) adalah kata yang memiliki makna lebih dari satu. Dalam bahasa Jepang, terdapat banyak kata yang berpolisemi, seperti pada verba kakeru かける. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna yang terdapat pada verba kakeru かける serta hubungan antara makna dasar verba kakeru かける dengan makna perluasannya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengambil kalimat yang mengandung verba kakeru かける yang diambil dari sumber data berupa novel berbahasa Jepang yang berjudul batsugeemu バツゲーム. Data dianalisis dengan menentukan klasifikasi makna verba kakeru かける. Kemudian, hubungan antara makna yang dimiliki verba kakeru かける dideskripsikan dengan menganalisis gaya bahasa yang menentukan perluasan maknanya. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa terdapat 6 perluasan makna pada verba kakeru かける yaitu 1) memanggil; 2) memakai; 3) Menelepon; 4) berbicara; 5) menghabiskan/melakukan; 6) meletakkan; 7) perasaan. Adapun makna perluasannya terjadi secara metafora, metonimi, dan sinekdoke.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti unsur intrinsik manga Nurarihyon No Mago: Shikoku Arc oleh Hiroshi Shiibashi yang diadaptasi menjadi sebuah anime oleh Sutradara Junji Nishimura". Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode simak-catat, dengan membandingkan unsur-unsur yang ada pada manga dan anime. Total data dari penelitian ini adalah 51 buah potongan adegan yang diambil dari manga Nurarihyon No Mago: Shikoku Arc dan juga versi anime-nya. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diketahui bahwa meskipun plot utama dan alur serita pada keduanya memiliki kesamaan, terdapat beberapa perbedaan yang muncul dan diketahui juga ada beberapa tambahan latar yang hanya terjadi pada versi anime. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan tersebut dapat terjadi karena danya keterbatasan yang diakibatkan oleh perubahan media. Sehingga dapat dipastikan bahwa tidak mungkin jalan ceritanya sama persis dengan sumber asli-nya. The research aims to seek the intrinsic elements of Manga Nurarihyon No Mago: Shikoku Arc by Hiroshi Shiibashi, which is adapted to anime by Director Junji Nishimura”. This research is a descriptive-qualitative study, using the note-taking method, comparing the elements of the manga and anime. Total data from this study was 51 pieces of scenes taken from the manga Nurarihyon No Mago: Shikoku ARC and also the anime version. From the research that has been done, it is known that although the main plot and the Seryte groove on both of them have similarities, there are some differences that arise and there are also known some additional settings that only occur in the anime version. This suggests that these differences can occur due to the limitations caused by media changes. Therefore, it can be ensured that the storyline is unlikely to be exactly the same as its original source.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti penggunaan ungkapan mengingatkan (salah satu bentuk ungkapan permohonan) dalam bahasa Jepang yang digunakan oleh pembelajar bahasa Jepang berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan data diperoleh melalui teknik simak bebas libat cakap dan catat melalui role play. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sembilan mahasiswa tingkat III Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, 16 mahasiswa tingkat III Program Studi Sastra Jepang Universitas Gadjah Mada, dan delapan mahasiswa tingkat II Program Studi Bahasa Jepang Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Gadjah Mada (Vokasi UGM) Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Data penelitian ini terbagi menjadi empat kategori yaitu ungkapan mengingatkan yang diujarkan penutur laki-laki kepada mitra tutur laki-laki, ungkapan mengingatkan yang diujarkan penutur laki-laki kepada mitra tutur perempuan, ungkapan mengingatkan yang diujarkan penutur perempuan kepada mitra tutur perempuan, dan ungkapan mengingatkan yang diujarkan penutur perempuan kepada mitra tutur laki-laki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan semantik formula Xu pada ungkapan mengingatkan yang diujarkan oleh pembelajar bahasa Jepang terdapat dua komponen yang digunakan yaitu komponen utama dan komponen pembantu. Dari seluruh data yang terkumpul dan dibagi ke dalam empat kategori di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak begitu ada perbedaan pengungkapan ungkapan mengingatkan yang dilakukan penutur laki-laki kepada mitra tutur yang bergender sama dan beda begitu pula yang dilakukan penutur perempuan kepada mitra tutur yang bergender sama maupun beda. Dari keempat kategori yang ada, semuanya memiliki komponen utama utama berupa pengingat permohonan dan komponen pembantu berupa penguat ingatan. Adapun komponen utama seperti penguat permohonan hanya terjadi pada dua percakapan yang dilakukan penutur laki-laki kepada mitra tutur perempuan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan gender tidak memengaruhi cara pengungkapan mengingatkan pada penutur kepada mitra tutur.
