Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose in this research is to describe the quality of book oriented on islamic values by using PBL model to increase the ability to analyse  poem at grade V students. Detaily, the purpose of the research is explained into three that is: (1) To describe the validity of student book oriented  on islamic value by using PBL model to increase the ability to analyse poem at grade V student. (2) To describe the simplicity of using student book oriented on islamic values by using PBL model to increase the ability to analyse poem at grade V student. (3) To describe the effectiveness of the using student book oriented on islamic values by using PBL model to increase the ability to analyse poem at grade V students.  This kind of research is research and development (R&D) which produce the product of student book oriented on islamic values by using PBL model to increase the ability to analyse poem at grade V students. The design of this research used pretes and postest control group desaign instrument which iis used in this research that is observation sheet, test sheet, guestionaire sheet and validation sheet.It is proved by student?s ability as a user showed the very high activity with percentage 87 %. Especially in understanding the problem and making evaluation. Keywords: Text Book, Islamic Values, PBL Model, The Ability to Analyse Poem. ABSTRAK                                                                                          Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kelayakan buku ajar berorientasi pada nilai-nilai islami dengan menggunakan model PBL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menganalisis puisi siswa kelas V. Secara terperinci tujuan penelitian tersebut dijabarkan menjadi tiga, yakni: (1) Mendeskripsikan validitas buku ajar berorientasi pada nilai-nilai islami dengan menggunakan model PBL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menganalisis puisi siswa kelas V, (2) Mendeskripsikan kepraktisan penggunaan buku ajar berorientasi pada nilai-nilai islami dengan menggunakan model PBL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menganalisis puisi siswa kelas V. (3) Mendeskripsikan keefektifan dari penggunaan buku ajar berorientasi pada nilai-nilai islami dengan menggunakan model PBL untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menganalisis puisi siswa kelas V.  Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan atau R&D (Research and Development) yang menghasilkan produk buku ajar dengan menggunakan model PBL. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Pretest-postest control group desain Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar denhan model PBL layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hasil validasi buku ajar dengan model PBL adalah layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran dengan sedikit revisi dengan persentase sebesar 96,3%. Kepraktisan buku ajar dengan menggunakan model PBL dalam pembelajaran menunjukkan hasil yang yang sangat tinggi.  Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan aktivitas siswa sebagai pengguna menunjukkan keaktifan yang sangat tinggi dengan persentase 87%, terutama dalam hal memahami masalah dan melakukan evaluasi.Kata Kunci: Buku ajar, Nilai-Nilai Islami, Model PBL, Kemampuan Menganalisis Puisi.

Abstract

Perairan Cilacap memiliki pelabuhan laut yang berfungsi sebagai pelabuhan ekspor-impor termasuk aktivitas bongkar muat minyak dari kapal-kapal tanker yang menyebabkan perairan Cilacap rentan terhadap tumpahan minyak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pola sebaran dan proses pelapukan (weathering) yang meliputi waktu pemaparan, proses disolusi, proses dispersi vertikal, proses emulsifikasi, dan proses evaporasi pada tumpahan minyak mentah dan aspal di Perairan Cilacap yang dimodelkan menggunakan model hidrodinamika 2D dan Spill Analysis. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi data arus laut, data pasang surut, data angin, data suhu air laut, data batimetri, data suhu udara, data cloudiness, data oil properties, dan data lalu lintas kapal. Hasil simulasi model sebaran tumpahan minyak mentah dan aspal memperlihatkan sebaran menuju ke arah barat laut saat pasang tertinggi, sebaliknya minyak menyebar ke arah tenggara saat surut terendah. Penyebaran tumpahan minyak berbentuk lintasan saat kondisi perbani dan partikel minyak berbentuk acak saat kondisi purnama. Waktu pemaparan aspal berlangsung lebih lama, yaitu berkisar 280 jam daripada waktu pemaparan minyak mentah, yaitu berkisar 259 jam. Proses pelapukan pada tumpahan minyak terhadap lamanya waktu tumpahan minyak menunjukkan bahwa perubahan laju emulsifikasi berlawanan dengan laju evaporasi dan sebanding dengan laju dispersi vertikal, sedangkan laju disolusi tidak mengalami perubahan signifikan. Tumpahan minyak setelah 24 jam memperlihatkan bahwa proses disolusi, dispersi vertikal, dan evaporasi pada minyak mentah lebih tinggi daripada aspal. Namun, proses emulsifikasi pada aspal lebih tinggi daripada minyak mentah.

Abstract

Products of petroleum of liquid waste can be caused pollution in the ocean. Waste contains of chemical element especially ammonia. High concentration of ammonia has toxicity for human and aquatic ecosystems. This Research was aimed to decrease concentration of ammonia by chitosan liquid. The research was conducted in Technological Laboratory of Pertamina RU VI Balongan Indramayu on March - April 2013. The Method of this research used randomized design with kind of treatments is 4 levels and 3 repetition. Treatments of this research used chitosan liquid 0,9% with different variation between chitosan liquid and sample of waste oil refinery, such as : (A) 4%; (B) 8%; (C)12%; (D)16%, with 30 minutes time contact. The largest decrease of ammonia contained in (C) 12% ± 12,83 mg/L (48,67%) and optimum adsorption is 10,28 % ± 13,87 mg/L (44,52%).

Abstract

Blood Cockle (Anadara granosa) is one type of shellfish which have an important economic value in Indonesia. Semarang waters is one of the location of the Blood Cockle which were allegedly tainted by Pb and Cd. The metal content could be reduced by depuration. This research purposed to determine the content of heavy metal concentrations in Semarang waters and determine the effect of shell length and the length of depuration time on the heavy metal concentrations of Pb and Cd in the A. granosa. This research was conducted on 23 July to 28 August 2010. The method used in this study is description on the preliminary research and laboratory experimental method for depuration. Preliminary research was performed by testing the concentration of heavy metals in water, sediments and soft tissue of A. granosa in the waters of Semarang. Primary research conducted depuration process based on differences size of the scallop shell length ≥ 2.0 cm and < 2.0 cm, and different time depuration treatment, i.e. control (without depuration), 1 day, 3 day, 5 day, and 7 days. According to AAS test results showed, the highest concentrations of Pb and Cd heavy metals in Semarang water respectively at 0.23 ppm and 0.036 ppm, in sediment 1.48 ppm and 0.091 ppm, and in the soft tissues of A. granosa of 0.82 ppm and 0.042 ppm. Depuration process can reduce the content of heavy metal concentrations of Pb and Cd, respectively at 0.37 ppm and 0.051 ppm.

Abstract

condition of mangroves have decreased over the years. Beside it has been used for human activities, mangrove habitat is also influenced by heavy metal pollution, and one of them is lead (Pb). Among all major mangroves, Rhizophora mucronata is one of the important spesies which also widely distributed. This research aimed to investigate the effect of lead treatment in different concentration to chlorophyll, content of the lead in leaves, root, and root histological structure of R. mucronata seedling. Treatments were done in 30 days, and the concentrations of Pb were 0,1; 1; 10; and 100 ppm. Mangrove seedlings were planted in bucket pot with 50 cm in diameter and 30 cm height, putted in greenhouse that has size 5,5 x 2 x 1,5 m. The result show that Pb treatment until 100 ppm has significant effect on chlorophyll content. Whereas the content of Pb in leaves and root, as well as root histology did not show signficant effect.

Abstract

Coral reefs are known as complex marine ecosystems. They play essential role in sustaining life. These ecosystems can serve as conservation areas as well as marine tourism object. The condition of coral reef degradation in Indonesia is quite worrying. One contributing factor is increasing heavy metal pollution in the waters. Levels of heavy metals that exceed the quality standard are very harmful to coral reefs. Heavy metals can not be degraded in waters but can be absorbed. Considering the importance of coral reef ecosystems and the increasing number of heavy metal pollution, it is necessary to know the effect of heavy metals on Corals. In general, the effect of heavy metals on corals can be divided into two, effects that did not cause of death (sublethal) and cause of death (lethal).

Abstract

ABSTRAK : Logam berat yang terkandung didalam limbah industri akan menjadi bahan pencemar berbahaya apabila melebihi ambang batas yang telah ditentukan. Salah satu pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan melakukan pengolahan terhadap limbah industri menggunakan kitosan untuk menurunkan kadar logam berat timbal (Pb) melalui proses adsorbsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan kitosan dalam menurunkan kadar logam berat timbal (Pb) dan mengetahui kapasitas adsorbsinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam skala laboratorium dan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Perbedaan perlakuan kitosan yang digunakan yaitu K (Kontrol), A (0,5%), B (1%), C (1,5%), D (2%) dengan logam berat timbal (pb) awal sebesar 2,85 ppm. Kitosan masing-masing dilarutkan dalam asam asetat 1% sebanyak 10 ml. Larutan kitosan dengan perbedaan konsentrasi direaksikan dengan larutan logam timbal (Pb) 90 ml menggunakan magnetik stirer. Reaksi dilakukan selama 30 menit dalam 100 rpm. Pengukuran kadar logam berat timbal (Pb) menggunakan Atomic Adsorption Spectrofotometri (AAS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan kadar logam berat timbal (Pb). Daya serap kitosan pada konsentrasi A (0,5%) adalah 94,07%; B (1%) adalah 94,39%; C (1,5%) adalah 94,39% dan D (2%) adalah 94,97%. Kapasitas adsorbsi yang dihasilkan pada konsentrasi A (0,5%) adalah 5,36 mg/g; B (1%) adalah 2,69 mg/g; C (1,5%) adalah 1,79; dan D (2%) adalah 1,35mg/g. Daya serap tertinggi pada konsentrasi 2% yaitu 94,97% dan kapasitas adsorbsi tertinggi sebesar 5,36 mg/g pada konsentrasi 0,5%. ABSTRACT : Heavy metal which is contained in industrial waste will be dangerous if contaminants exceed the threshold. One of the precautions that can be done is processing the industrial waste use chitosan to reduce levels of heavy metals lead (Pb) through adsorption process. This study aims to determine the ability of chitosan to reduce level of heavy metals lead (Pb) and determine the capacity of its adsorption. The study was conducted in laboratory scale and the design that used in this experiment is complete randomized design with three replications. Different chitosan treatments that used are K (control), A (0.5%), B (1%), C (1.5%), D (2%) with 2,85 ppm heavy metal lead (pb) as early concentration. Each chitosan treatments dissolved in 1% acetic acid 10 ml. Chitosan solution with different concentrations of the metal reacted with lead (Pb) solution of 90 ml using a magnetic stirrer. The reaction was performed for 30 minutes in 100 rpm. Measurement of levels of heavy metals leads (Pb) using Atomic Adsorption Spectrofotometri (AAS). The results showed a decrease in levels of heavy metals lead (Pb). Absorptive capacity of chitosan at a concentration of A (0.5%) is 94.07%; B (1%) is 94.39%; C (1.5%) is 94.39% and D (2%) is 94.97%. Adsorption capacity resulting in the concentration of A (0.5%) is 5.36 mg/g; B (1%) is 2.69 mg/g; C (1.5%) is 1.79 mg/g; and D (2%) is 1,35 mg/g. The highest absorption capacity is in concentration of 2% is 94.97% and the highest adsorption capacity is 5.36 mg/g at a concentration of 0.5%

Abstract

Tiger Shrimp (P. monodon) is an important export trade commoditiy to the Indonesian economy. Optimization of tiger shrimp aquaculture products need to pay attention to environmental factors. The high level of activitis around the coastal at this time led to rise water pollutants, especially in the aquaculture area (Purba, 2012). Increased pollutants such as mercury can cause disruption of Tiger Shrimp survival The Divine Cigarette can catch, control and decay free radicals. Divine Cigarette is formulated material scavenger that is a composite of amino acids and EDTA which can capture, control and shed free radicals mercury with nanobiologi principle. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Divine Cigarette to the growth of Tiger Shrimp (P. monodon). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 2 treatments and each were replicated 3 times. Treatment being tested was the addition of Divine Cigarette (A) and without the addition of Divine Cigarette (B) on the feed tiger shrimp (P. monodon). Observations were made on the rate of growth Tiger Shrimp (P. monodon) and statistical analysis were performed using t-test. Tiger Shrimp growth can be seen from the observation from average weight Tiger Shrimp and SGR supported several other data, ie: FE, FCR, PER and water quality parameters. Results of this study showed that treatment delivery Divine Cigarette effect on mean weight at treatment A (7,15 ± 0,53 g) higher than treatment B (6,19 ± 0,39 g) in the last week. SGR data suggest that on average in treatment A (3,72 ± 0,05 % per day) was higher than treatment B (3.03 ± 0.11% per day). Treatment with Divine Cigarette significant effect (p<0.01) to the SGR, FE, FCR and PER.

Abstract

Study of copper (Cu) content in water, sediment, and Blood Clam (Anadara granosa) was conducted in coastal waters of Bedono, District Sayung, Demak district in 2010 and 2011. This study was done because coastal waters of Bedono (such as rivers and river Sayung Gonjol) functioned as the disposal trajectory by the industrial area located along the highway Semarang - Demak. This study aimed to analyze the heavy metal content of Cu in coastal waters and Rivers Sayung and River Gonjol, District Sayung, Demak. The study was conducted during low tide conditions (in 2010) and high tides (in 2011). The results showed that in 2010, the copper content in water of River Sayung ranged from 0.003 to 0.056 mg/l, whereas in the River Gonjol, copper content ranged from not detected - 0.026 mg/l. In 2011, copper content in water is not detected, either in the River Sayung and in the River Gonjol. Copper content in the sediment of River Sayung ranged from 4.89 to 28.75 mg/kg, and in River Gonjol from 18.77 to 71.28 mg/kg (in 2010). In 2011, copper content in the sediment of mouth of River Sayung ranged from 16.1 to 25.57 mg/kg, and in the mouth of River Gonjol ranged from 16.69 to 52.72 mg/kg. In 2010, copper content in the soft tissues of the blood clam in the mouth of River Sayung was 29.86 mg/kg, and at 31.2 mg/kg in the mouth of River Gonjol. Meanwhile, in 2011, copper content was not detected in blood clams. Overall, copper content in water, sediment, and blood clams were still below the threshold quality standard set by each authority.

Abstract

Aktivitas antibakteri yang terdapat dalam Holothuria atra dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai makanan fungsional yang dapat mengendalikan mikroflora dalam saluran pencernaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi aktivitas antibakteri dari teripang H. atra terhadap bakteri B. cereus (gram positif) dan V. alginolyticus (gram negatif) sebagai foodborne pathogens. Sampel teripang H. atra diambil dari ekosistem lamun perairan Pulau Panjang dengan metode purposive sampling method untuk mengambil teripang berukuran panjang > 16 cm sebanyak 1 kg. Sampel H. atra dibersihkan lalu dipisahkan antara daging dan jeroannya, kemudian di maserasi menggunakan pelarut etil asetat dengan perbandingan 1:3 (w:v) selama 1x24 jam. Hasil maserasi diuapkan dengan rotary evaporator pada suhu 38o C. Ekstrak daging dan jeroan yang diperoleh adalah 669,8 mg dan 625,2 mg. Uji aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode paper disk diameter 6 mm dengan konsentrasi 500 µg/disk, 1000 µg/disk, 2000 µg/disk, dan 4000 µg/disk. Aktivitas antibakteri yang diperoleh dari perbedaan konsentrasi yang diberikan berbeda secara nyata  dengan adanya peningkatan Activity Unit (AU) di setiap kenaikan konsentrasi. Aktivitas antibakteri terbesar yang diperoleh dari ekstrak daging H. atra pada konsentrasi 4000 µg/disk terhadap bakteri V. alginolyticus  (gram negatif) dan B. cereus (gram positif) masing-masing adalah 14214,08 mm2/ml dan 10508,62 mm2/ml. Aktivitas antibakteri terbesar yang diperoleh dari ekstrak jeroan H. atra pada konsentrasi  4000 µg/disk terhadap bakteri V. alginolyticus  (gram negatif) dan B. cereus (gram positif) masing-masing adalah 7858,72 mm2/ml dan 4919,68 mm2/ml. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, daging dan jeroan teripang H. atra keduanya memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri B. cereus (gram positif) dan V. alginolyticus (gram negatif). The antibacterial activity contained in the bioactive compounds of sea cucumber Holothuria atra can be used as functional foods that can control microflora in the digestive tract. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential antibacterial activity of sea cucumber H. atra against B. cereus (gram positive) and V. alginolyticus (gram negative) as foodborne pathogens. The samples of H. atra in this study were taken from the seagass ecosystem of Panjang Island waters using the purposive sampling method so that the sea cucumbers taken were > 16 cm long. The obtained sea cucumber samples were cleaned and separated between the meat and the viscera, then macerated using ethyl acetate with a ration of 1:3 (w/v) for 24 hours. The solvent was evaporated using rotary evaporator at 38o C. The obtained meat and viscera extract of H. atra in this study were 669,8 mg and 625,2 mg. The antibacterial activity test was carried out using the diffusion method with a 6 mm paper disk (Kirby-Bauer Method), and the concentrations of each extract are 500 µg/disk, 1000 µg/disk, 2000 µg/disk, and 4000 µg/disk. The antibacterial activity of extracts from different concentrations were significantly different in line with the increasing results of activity unit (AU) at each increased concentration.  The largest activity unit was obtained from meat extract at a concentration of 4000 µg/disk. The antibacterial activity unit from meat extract against V. alginolyticus (gram-negative) and B. cereus (gram-positive) are 14214,08 mm2 / ml and 10508,62 mm2 / ml. The largest antibacterial activity unit of viscera extract against V. alginolyticus and B. cereus are 7858,72 mm2 / ml and 4919,68 mm2 / ml. Based on this study, meat and viscera extracts from H. atra both have antibacterial activity against B. cereus (gram-positive) and V. alginolyticus (gram-negative).
