Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana perempuan direpresentasikan pada iklan cokelat Lotte Ghana di hari Valentine yang ditayangkan oleh televisi Jepang selama satu dekade terakhir (2010-2019). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis teks dengan teori representasi dari Stuart Hall dan konsep stereotip sifat dan peran gender dari Mary E. Kite. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklan cokelat Lotte Ghana mendukung wacana perempuan ideal yang sesuai dengan standar norma patriarki. Sekalipun perempuan dalam iklan ini memiliki karakteristik maskulin seperti aktif, percaya diri, berani, tetapi semua karakteristik itu tetap dibatasi dalam peran femininnya yang aktif di dapur dan membuat cokelat buatan tangan sendiri untuk laki-laki yang disukai. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pada hari Valentine perempuan di Jepang memiliki kuasa serta peran aktif untuk berekspresi, tetapi kuasa yang ditampilkan tetap ada kaitannya dengan menyenangkan hati laki-laki, terbatas hanya pada hubungan laki-laki dan perempuan dan tidak berfokus pada perempuan itu sendiri serta tetap berada di ranah domestik. Selain itu, perempuan dalam iklan juga digunakan sebagai alat untuk menarik pembeli cokelat demi meraup keuntungan besar, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pada pembacaan di level yang lebih dalam, iklan Lotte Ghana merupakan wujud kelindan antara wacana patriarki dan kapitalisme.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Japanese sibilant sound observed from the acoustic analysis. The data of this study were in the form of sound samples from 16 respondents who spoke Javanese in Japanese language learners at the university and 8 Japanese native speakers. The respondents were asked to pronounce vocabulary containing Japanese sibilant sounds at the beginning and middle of a total of 72 words which have meaning. Then, the sample of Indonesian and Japanese respondent's sound was measured using Praat software to find their duration, intensity and Center of Gravity (CoG) of the sibilant sound. The measurement results are carried out an analysis of 2 factors, namely consonant type and sound position, using anova statistics. The duration, intensity and Center of Gravity measurement results show that the two factors (consonant type and sound position) are statistically significant. The distribution of sibilant sound duration is from 68 ms to 144 ms, and the distribution of sibilant sound intensity is from 50 dB to 60 dB. The results of the Center of Gravity (CoG) measurements show that among the learners, the CoG values ​​are in the average range of /s/ = 7 kHz, /z/ = 6 kHz, /ɕ/ = 5 kHz, and /ʑ/ = 4 kHz, while among the native speakers, the CoG values ​​are in the average range of /s/ = 8 kHz, /z/ = 8 kHz, /ɕ/ = 6 kHz, and /ʑ/ = 6 kHz. Abstract

This research was conducted to attempt at improving Japanese Speaking skill through Know Want Learned (KWL) strategy of the 2018-2019’s academic years students of Japanese Department, Faculty of Language and Literature of State University of Jakarta. The classroom experiment study was triggered by the fact that the subjects still faced problem in Japanese speaking skill. The classroom action study made use of pre-test and post-test research design with quantitative analysis. Based on the experiment result, the data administered showed that there was improvement in the students’ Japanese speaking skill. Before giving the treatment, the classes’ average of pretest was 68.2. After implementing the KWL strategy, the classes’ average of posttest was 80.3. This indicated that the students’ Japanese speaking skill has improved. Moreover, the hypothesis test revealed tcalculate is higher than ttable. Therefore, these findings clearly suggested that improving Japanese speaking skill through KWL strategy was highly effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana bentuk nilai-nilai tradisi kuliner yang diwariskan kepada generasi selanjutnya yang tercermin dalam tiga serial drama Jepang dengan genre food, yaitu Osen (2018), Wagashi Bakery (2016) dan Edo Mae no Shun (2018).penelitian ini mengunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai tradisional yang terdapat dalam ketiga drama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam ketiga serial drama tersebut terdapat nilai-nilai tradisi kuliner yang selalu dijaga sehingga mampu mempertahankan keberlangsungan bisnis kuliner tradisional mereka, yaitu nilai estetika, nilai sosial, nilai tanggung jawab, nilai kreatifitas, nilai loyalitas, dan nilai pendidikan. Nilai-nilai tersebut diturunkan dari satu generasi ke generasi penerusnya, yaitu ketika tokoh Shun mempelajari cara membuat sushi dari Matsunoshuke, ayahnya, tokoh Osen mempelajari cara memasak dan mengelola restoran dari ibunya dan kemudian Osen mengajarkan cara memasak tersebut pada Ezaki, karyawannya, serta tokoh Arare yang belajar membuat wagashi(kue tradisional Jepang) dan mengelola toko wagashi tersebut dari ibunya. Nilai-nilai tersebut adalah salah satu kunci kesuksesan keberhasilan bisnis kuliner mereka bertahan hingga lebih dari 3 generasi.

Abstract

Abstrak Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang, pemahaman pengetahuan budaya Jepang sangatlah dibutuhkan. Kebiasaan masyarakat, tata krama, dan aturan-aturan yang berlaku di negara tersebut akan menimbulkan Cultureshock pada pembelajar saat ia berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan orang Jepang karena kekuranganpahaman akan aturan budaya mereka. Juga akan lebih terasa ketika orang Indonesia harus tinggal di Jepang untuk belajar atau bekerja.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai manner, tata krama, dan aturan di negara Jepang sebagai salah satu upaya dalam pemahaman budaya Jepang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan angket yang disebarkan pada 82 orang mahasiswa.Berdasarkan hasil angket pada 82 responden, yang 81% menyatakan mengalami gap komunikasi dan kekeliruan ketika berkomunikasi dengan orang Jepang baik secara lisan maupun tulisan juga tindakan aktivitas ketika berhadapan dengan orang Jepang yang diakibatkan oleh rendahnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman budaya Jepang. Seperti saat wawancara, ojigi, bertukar kartu nama, budaya memberikan cinderamata/omiyage, dan kebiasaan sehari-hari di Jepang lainnya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut mahasiswa diberikan materi-materi ajar yang terdapat dalam “Daily life manner in Japan” yang di dalamnya memuat referensi manner, kebiasaan, serta aturan-aturan orang Jepang yang disajikan pada perkuliahan daring/online. Luaran hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa pemahaman mahasiswa meningkat mengenai pengetahuan manner Jepang yang berhubungan dengan tata krama dan kebiasaan dalam kehidupan sehari hari Jepang seperti Pengetahuan macam-macam ojigi, aturan tukar kartu nama (meishikoukan), aturan saat wawancara (mensetsu), dan ungkapan-ungkapan bahasa Jepang yang berkaitan saat memberikan omiyage, berkunjung kerumah orang Jepang, dan lainnya. Pemahaman yang baik mengenai budaya Jepang memudahkan mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan orang Jepang sesuai dengan tata krama dan manner dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di Jepang. Abstract In learning Japanese, understanding Japanese cultural knowledge is very needed. The habits of society, manners, and the rules that apply in the country will cause a culture shock in the learner when he communicates and interacts with Japanese people because of a lack of understanding of their cultural rules. It will also be more pronounced when Indonesians have to live in Japan to study or work.The purpose of this study was to determine students' understanding of manners, habits, and rules in Japan as an effort to understand Japanese culture. The research method used is a descriptive method with a questionnaire distributed to 82 students. Based on the results of a questionnaire on 82 respondents, 81% stated that they experienced communication gaps and mistakes when communicating with Japanese people both verbally and in writing as well as activities when dealing with Japanese people due to lack knowledge and understanding of Japanese culture. Like during interviews, bowing ojigi, exchanging business cards, the culture of giving souvenirs, and other daily habits in Japan. To overcome these problems students are given teaching materials contained in "Daily life manner in Japan" which contains references to Japanese manner, habits, and rules presented in online / online lectures. The results of this study indicate that understanding students increase knowledge of Japanese mannerisms related to Japanese manners and habits such as knowledge of various ojigi, business card exchange rules (meishikoukan), rules during interviews (mensetsu), and Japanese phrases related to giving omiyage, visiting Japanese homes, and others. A good understanding of Japanese culture makes it easier for students to communicate and interact with Japanese people according to manners and manners in everyday life in Japan.

Abstract

This article examines the use of conjunctions or setsuzokujoshi of kara and node that mean reasons in Japanese. The subjects in this study were students of the Nippo class who were studying at LPK Japanese Language Management Center (JLMC). This research uses descriptive analysis method by collecting data from students to answer 6 questions about kara and node. The results showed that students understanding about use of kara and node was good enough, with a percentage 59%. Then based on the results of the item analysis, can be seen that the students made more mistakes in kara form than node form, with the error percentage in kara reach 62% and node 21%. The main cause of students lack of understanding about the differences of kara and node is the teacher who does not explain in detail the differences between kara and node. Besides that, learning material or book that students used there is no details explanation about different of kara and node.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning process of Japanese Language Hospitality during the Pandemic Covid-19 period. This study was researching effectiveness of the online distance learning process and evaluate the weakness and problem occurred during learning process. This research was conducted on 43 students of the Faculty of Tourism at Triatma Mulya University Diploma IV Hospitality Program in Third Semester, Academic Year 2020/2021. The respondent was choosen from students who have learned Japanese Language Hospitality 3 on one semester from June to December 2020. The data collection method in this study used documentation techniques and questionnaires via google form. The online-based learning process carried out in this study is to create virtual classroom learning situations through online-based e-learning methods. Students not only listeners in class, but students are strongly directed to presentation about hotel hospitality using Japanese Language. The problem during learning process of Japanese Hospitality online are, the lack of supporting facilities in online class, less concentration and other distractions.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran huruf Bahasa Jepang terdapat 3 huruf yang harus dipelajari, yaitu: Huragana, katakana, dan kanji. Dari ketiga huruf tersebut kanji merupakan huruf yang paling sulit. Pemebelajaran kanji ini selalu dipandang para pembelajar, karena penulisannya yang rumit. Karena penulisan yang rumit tersebut banyak siswa yang tergantung pada pengajar di setiapa kegiatan perkuliahan/pembelajaran. Pengajar menulis, siswa mengikuti apa yang ditulis pengajar. Sehingga membuat siswa kurang memiliki kemandirian. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti mencoba mempraktekan metode pembelajaran Flipped class pada kelas kanji semester V Universitas Pakuan. Dalam proses pembelajarannyan pengajar menyuruh siswa menyiapkan kunyomi dan onyomi, menulis alur penulisan kanji, mencari jukugo dari setiap unit kanji di setiap perkuliahan dimulai. Tugas diberikan 3 hari sebelum kegiatan perkuliahan. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah: (1) Apakah metode Flipped class menggunakan media online “tanoshiijapanense.com” dapat meningkatkan kemandirian siswa dalam belajar kanji? (2) Apakah metode flipped class menggunakan media online “tanoshiijapanese.com cocok diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kanji? (3) Kendala apakah yang dihadapi mahasiswa selama belajar menggunakan metode Flipped class dengan media online “tanoshiijapanese.com” sebagai media pembelajarnya. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 5 Universitas Pakuan, sampel penelitiannya berjumlah 21 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriftif. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan google form, terdiri dari 5 kalimat pernyataan, dan 5 pertanyaan wawancara. Analisis data diambil grafik dari google form. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapay bermaanfaat bagi semua pengajar Bahasa Jepang baik yang mengajar matakuliah kanji di prodi Sastra Jepang Universitas Pakuan, maupun pengajar kanji di berbagai Universitas yang ada di Indonesia.
