Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the development of learning models that can stimulate students to interpret every learning activity in shaping the character of early childhood. The research method is a qualitative method in which the researcher captures the phenomenon of the development of religious and moral values of early childhood is only limited to habituation and the discovery of data that the teacher does not compile a special program of character development in learning. The study was conducted in DKI Jakarta (Jakarta Capital Special Region) with 60 samples consisting of University students Open PAUD (Early Childhood Education) majors who are PAUD teachers in DKI Jakarta. Data collection techniques from interviews, observation and questionnaire distribution and also documentation. The results of the study stated that a constructive learning model is needed that is able to give meaning to the learning process in character development.

Abstract

In digital era, it is possible for the term "home education" which presents the role of the family to the childhood education. The development of children's mathematics involved role of parents lies, so a mechanism needs to be established about the importance of mathematics learning in the early years and its forms about mathematical activities for children. Learning mathematics in early childhood connects the use of formative values, namely observation, assignments, and interviews for planned teaching. Pedagogical practice focuses on the involvement of children in games, reading stories/picture books, doing project work, and learning mathematics through art or physics. This gives the explanation that children in early education with their settings involve mathematical ideas. This research aims to provide solutions and ideas for parents in teaching children of early age (0-3) years old on mathematics. This research also provides an explanation of parental involvement in teaching mathematics by playing together and preparing children to face mathematics at the next level. The research method used is based on field research, literature studies, and observations. Report of evaluation and observation provide good results with the use of one of the learning methods, namely the montessori method. It also gives an explanation of the importance of togetherness of children and parents in learning mathematics without eliminating children's play time.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (PAUD) receives enormous attention from the government, because preparing the next generation needs to pay attention to how to foster children from an early age. One method of learning for young children that is fun and interesting is Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT) or better known as the Center Method. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Obstacles and Solution of Beyond Centers and Circle Time (BCCT) Implementation in TK ABA 2 Banjarmasin.However, this method has not been widely applied in South Kalimantan Province, especially in Banjarmasin. TK Aisiyah Busthanul Athfal (ABA) 2 in Banjarmasin is the first kindergarten that has implemented in Banjarmasin. Therefore, this qualitative research was conducted with a case study approach, to explore the TK ABA 2 Kindergarten Banjarmasin process so that they could use BCCT, as well as the problems and solutions they had faced so that they could be input for other schools who wanted to also use this method. The principle and six teachers were interviewed to get information about the case. TK ABA 2 Banjarmasin started implementing BCCT in 2013. There are a number of things that need to be prepared, including preparing teachers especially in terms of educational background and center preparation including the availability of toys in each center. Obstacles can be resolved if all stake holders are dedicated to implement BCCT.

Abstract

This study focused on teachers’ attitude towards using games in teaching-learning activities of learning vocabulary. The purpose of this research is to explore teachers’ attitude to the use of a game for learning vocabulary of the students. A qualitative study was conducted with 12 teachers of Azampur Government Primary School of Dhaka city, Bangladesh to gain in depth knowledge of the issues. An everyday game of children named ‘Tic-tac-toe’ was chosen for teachers to teach vocabulary rather traditional process of memorizing. Then, semi-structured focus group interviews were used as tool to collect data from teachers after observing students playing the game. Data was then analyzed for thematic contents by standard content analysis framework which yielded six major themes such as play-based teaching strategy, language development, classroom environment, learning by doing approach, acceptance and barriers on adopting play-based strategy. Overall, findings showed positive attitude towards using game for learning vocabulary of a foreign language. The implications of this study imply that the themes can be effective in classroom practice of Bangladeshi classroom.

Abstract

Growth and development in children is greatly influenced by the intake of nutrients in food. During the period of growth and development, the provision of good nutrition is not always carried out perfectly. One of the influencing factors is the level of parental knowledge and children's preference on fast food. If feeding is always not in accordance with the needs of children, it will cause developmental problems in children. One of the efforts made to overcome these problems is a healthy eating program. This research was conducted with the aim to determine the results of nutrition fulfillment in early childhood through a healthy eating program. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Research location in Al-Isyad Al-Islamiyyah Purwokerto Kindergarten. With research subjects include, teachers, Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Purwokerto Kindergarten students, parents, and school principals. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study describe the implementation of the fulfillment of children's nutrition through a healthy eating program implemented at Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Purwokerto Kindergarten, this study also shows good menu variations in accordance with the nutritional needs of early childhood every day in healthy eating programs prepared by nutritionists, so as to improve nutritional status in children.

Abstract

When this Indonesia was experiencing an outbreak of pandemic COVID-19, even the plague is happening not only in Indonesia but worldwide this is a challenge great for parents to keep the fruit of his heart that was not exposed to the virus is, in addition to the parents also become role important that should keep control of the growth and development of the fruit of this heart, especially in times of children early, which at the time these activities are limited so need a way to keep doing activities that can stimulate the growth and development of her with the good. The purpose of this study was to find out how the use of hunter virus game on child development and stimulate children when facing a COVID-19 pandemic, especially in the aspect of cognitive during the early childhood. In this study using qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the result of observations and interviews with child game Hunter Virus This can be used as a media when the children are at home with the game this can introduce to the children about the virus that when this was happening. Besides, children with enthusiasm and are helped in learning about the dangers of the virus.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the interest of researchers in increasing the ability of cooperation in the use of used cardboard as an educational play tool in late childhood children in Canden Hamlet RT05, Canden, Jetis, Bantul, Yogyakarta. In general, this research is to find out the increase in the ability of children's cooperation in the use of used cardboard as an educational game tool. This research is a type of qualitative research that is descriptive in nature. Data obtained from the results of research using the method of collecting data observation, interviews, and documentation. While the technical analysis of the data used is data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed a significant increase in the ability of cooperation in the use of used cardboard as an educational game tool.

Abstract

The writing of this paper aims to explain how to answer the challenges of advancing science and technology more rapidly by preparing students to go ahead and develop with 21st Century learning planning namely STEAM-based learning (Science, Technology, Eingeneering, Art and Mathematic). Learning planning is a design for teachers in carrying out play activities to facilitate children in the learning process. The lesson plan must refer to the characteristics (age, social culture, and needs of the individual). 21st Century Learning is learning that integrates the abilities of knowledge, skills and attitudes as well as mastery of technology. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews, field observations and reflective journals. Planning becomes the most important part in a learning process, which focuses more on 4C (Communication, Collaborative, Creatical Thingking, and Creativity). STEAM-based learning (Science, Technology, Eingeneering, Art and Mathematic) will help train children to be able to analyze existing problems using a variety of approaches, both science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics so that it becomes a step for the survival of students in wading through changing times very quickly.

Abstract

This action research evaluated effectiveness of peer assisted strategy, a buddy reading program between 21 pairs of kindergarten and first grade students in a rural school in the United States. Kindergarten students who were below reading grade level were paired with firstgrade students who were at proficient reading grade level and vice versa. The study examined how reading storybooks together for 20 minutes a day, three times a week for four weeks, impacted student attitudes toward reading, text reading comprehension (TRC), and dynamic indicators of basic early literacy skills (DIBELS). Findings showed that students enjoyed buddy reading as reflected in the pre-and posttest surveys of reading attidues. Results also suggest the buddy reading intervention had a positive effect on the end of the year mClass Reading 3D text comprehension. Implications of using this cost-effective peer engagement strategy for teaching and research are provided.

Abstract

This study emphasizes on the behavior of outstanding RA teachers who can be limited as mental states to think, behave, and behave during the golden age in the growth and development of an early child when RA teachers experience them. These behaviors are reflections of various aspects, both physical and non physical, as well as psychological reactions from an RA teacher with environmental achievements. These outstanding RA teachers during the golden age mostly did not receive formal education in their early age education, not through kindergarten (kindergarten) even those who were equal, but their childhood experiences really liked to play rain, play ball, even used to playing with boys (man). The teaching patterns instilled by his parents also tend to be rigid and decisive, especially his father who is also a teacher to teach him. In his house deliberately no television was provided because it was considered to be able to take up study time.
