Abstract

The writing of this paper aims to explain how to answer the challenges of advancing science and technology more rapidly by preparing students to go ahead and develop with 21st Century learning planning namely STEAM-based learning (Science, Technology, Eingeneering, Art and Mathematic). Learning planning is a design for teachers in carrying out play activities to facilitate children in the learning process. The lesson plan must refer to the characteristics (age, social culture, and needs of the individual). 21st Century Learning is learning that integrates the abilities of knowledge, skills and attitudes as well as mastery of technology. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques used in the form of interviews, field observations and reflective journals. Planning becomes the most important part in a learning process, which focuses more on 4C (Communication, Collaborative, Creatical Thingking, and Creativity). STEAM-based learning (Science, Technology, Eingeneering, Art and Mathematic) will help train children to be able to analyze existing problems using a variety of approaches, both science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics so that it becomes a step for the survival of students in wading through changing times very quickly.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is one of the spearheads of the economy so it is important to provide entrepreneurship education and one of them is in higher education. With entrepreneurship education, students create jobs and reduce the numbers given. The purpose of this study is to develop an effective entrepreneurship learning model by analyzing the role of lecturer experience and internship programs on student entrepreneurial competencies. The research method used is quantitative research with primary data based on the results of research in the field using instruments such as rt to partially or simultaneously test the developed model. The results of the research, the experience of lecturers in carrying out entrepreneurial activities and industrial internship programs for students partially or simultaneously have a positive effect on the competence of students in the vocational department of the Islamic University of Indonesia.

Abstract

Research Aims: This study aimed to determine the direct influence of communication style and individual competence on female principals' empowering leadership and performance in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach: The respondents of this study were 220 teachers from 3 accredited high schools with female principals in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The questionnaire was analysed using structural equation modelling with AMOS to determine the relationship between variables and using Sobel Test to test leadership as a mediating variable. Research findings: The results of this study show that communication style and competence have a positive and significant effect on leadership and performance, leadership has a significant effect on performance, and leadership acts as a mediating variable. The results also indicate that gender acts as a moderating variable by strengthening the relationship between leadership and principal performance. Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The contribution of this study is to develop and examine the direct and indirect relationship between communication style, competence, gender, leadership, and performance of principals. Managerial Implication in the South East Asian Context: The results of this study can help principals design effective leadership development programs by selecting the appropriate leadership style to improve the performance of school principals. Research limitation & Implications: This research is limited by the number of respondents and the number of predictor variables of leadership and performance. This research has important implications for future research on the joint effects of contextual factors, personal characteristics, and social network attributes in the gendering leadership in the education sector.

Abstract

Education is the primary driver of a nation's progress, as it aids in the development of strong characteristics, one of which is the improvement of student vocational skills. However, there has lately been a global epidemic, particularly Covid-19, which has disturbed global community mobility, even in the realm of higher education. Because the Indonesian government relies on technology to fund higher education, students must be proficient in information and communication technologies (ICT). This expertise is thought to have the ability to influence the development of occupational skills. The goal of this study was to see how mastering ICT affected students' vocational abilities. This study took place at Yogyakarta's Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University. This is a quantitative research method that involves the distribution of questionnaires and the use of a Likert scale. A total of 100 students were used in this investigation. The findings revealed that mastering ICT has a positive impact on students at the State Islamic University of Yogyakarta's vocational capabilities. Students' mastery of ICT will be followed by the development of their occupational skills.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) To find out the use of letter card media in learning Indonesian can improve the reading skills of grade I students at SD Negeri 30 Cakranegara; 2) To find out the improvement of speaking skills in learning Indonesian through the media of letter cards for first grade students of SD Negeri 30 Cakranegara. This research was designed using Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were the first grade students of SD Negeri 30 Cakranegara, totaling 29 people, consisting of 17 female students and 15 male students. While the research procedure goes through the stages of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The results showed that the application or use of letter card media in Indonesian language learning can improve student learning outcomes, when teaching and learning activities take place, namely from the number of students, namely 29 people, whose scores are equal to or more than the KKM totaling 27 people, and if the percentage is 93, 10%. This shows that there is an increase from the initial conditions and the first cycle, namely from the number of students who completed as many as 19 people 65.56% then to 24 people 82.76% and increased again to 27 people 93.10%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that learning Indonesian by applying or using letter card media can improve the reading skills of first grade students at SD Negeri 30 Cakranegara.

Abstract

Teknologi merupakan satu hal yang tidak bisa dipisahkan dari kehidupan manusia. Salah satunya yaitu smartphone. Manusia yang hidup di era globalisasi diharuskan untuk bisa mengetahui tentang teknologi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh daripada penggunaan smartphone terhadap minat baca siswa MI, terkhusus bagi siswa kelas 4 di MIN 13 Nagan Raya. Adapun rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana pengaruh dan dampak penggunaan smartphone terhadap minat baca siswa MI kelas 4 di MIN 13 Nagan Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun hasil dari pene;itian ini menunjukkan bahwa smartphone membawa pengaruh positif dan juga negatif. Bahkan, ada juga siswa yang tidak berpengaruh sama sekali. Orangtua dan guru berperan penting dalam proses perkembangan anak di era globalisasi. Terutama dalam penggunaan smartphone, orangtua bertugas membatasi penggunaan smartphone ketika di rumah dan guru bertugas untuk meningkatkan rasa keinginan atau minat siswa dalam membaca dan belajar. Dalam hal ini, siswa mempunyai peran yang tidak kalah penting, karena rasa keinginan dan minat tersebut mulanya tumbuh dari dalam diri siswa.

Abstract

Abstract Background: Electronic library materials are more effective and efficient than printed books. Therefore, they are popular with millennials, especially when library services are only open online during the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal era. Librarians are required to maximize e-resources services when the budget is fully refocused on handling the Covid-19 outbreak. Purpose: This research aims to analyze the librarian’s role in procuring electronic library materials during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: The method used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis design. Results: The results show that librarians act as administrators in selecting and procuring electronic library materials through the digital library applications “Digilib Praja” and “Smartlib IPDN.” In the policy dimension, they serve as an advisory board to the head of the library in making policies, selecting information technology-based service tools, and implementing digital book fundraising policies. In the Service Object Achievement dimension, librarians play a role in gathering information needs and ensuring electronic book purchases are based on guidelines for the IPDN Library. Conclusion: In conclusion, the role of librarians in procuring electronic library materials was sufficiently performed. They can procure IPDN e-resources through a digital book fundraising policy, which can be applied to another university as a form of innovation. Abstract

This study was conducted to find a relevant learning model in mathematic lessons in Elementary School in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, which is marked by rapid technological advanced. Mathematic learning as an important foundation in understanding high-level technological concept, integrating technology into the mathematics curriculum addresses inequality of access to digital resources, and engaging students in more interactive and contextual mathematics learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study method and literature review. The result of this study are by applying several learning models such as contextual learning models, STEAM and game-based learning models, students can develop critical thinking, problem solving, creative thinking, innovation, communication and collaborating.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya kenakalan remaja dan rendahnya karakter peserta didik seperti kasus bullying, membolos, melakukan tindakan kriminal, dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kontribusi model pembelajaran Paradigma Pedagigi Rfelktif dalam membangun karakter peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian kepustakaan (library research), sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mencari berbagai dokumentasi dari beberapa jurnal yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis dan diambil kesimpulan. Hasil peneltian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Paradigma Pedagogi Reflektif dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pembangunan karakter siswa, dengan kata lain model pembelajaran Paradigma Pedagogi Reflektif dapat menumbuhkan karakter peserta didik terutama pada siswa kelas IV SD/ MI pada mata pelajaran tematik integratif. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari analisis 20 artikel yang relevan dengan penelitian ini, sehingga dapat dipakai dan dianalisis dalam menentukan kesimpulan
