Abstract

This study aims to find out and develop goodfactual model, design, design model, hypothetical model and the final model of education and training of Islamic Religion Education (PAI) containing multiculturalism for PAI senior high school (SMA) teachers, including its planning, organizing, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as the needed follow-up assistance of post training program. Develop a model for training management modelcontaining multiculturalism for PAI teachers is important so they can improve their professional competence. The result of research anddevelopment shows that the existingfactual model of PAItraining for the teachers is still not effective and produces low competence. In response to that, the designed training model of PAI containing multiculturalism to enhance the professional competence of teachers PAI has beenempirically validated by a team of experts and practitioners and it can improve the competency of PAI teachers. The hypothetical model validation resulted from experts and practitioners through FGDs deserves to be applied to the trial I and II. The final model after FGD II is effective in a trial proven by practicality of training model that has compatibility with different types and target groups of the study. For MORA RI, it is suggested to always improve the professional competence of PAI teachers and uses the designed training model containing multiculturalism on an ongoing basis. The related stakeholders need to cooperate in developing a better research and development in creating abetter PAI training model.

Abstract

The comprehensive subject mastery and learning strategy are competences which must be possessed by chemistry teachers so that they are able to conduct their teaching professionally. As the time goes by, teachers as the main components in learning process are demanded to continuously grow and develop both their knowledge and skills. Teaching supervision is teaching guidance which is conducted by a supervisors to the teachers by providing professional assistance and service so that teachers become more competent in doing their tasks. Teaching guidance, which has precise and exact targets, conducted meticulously, programmed, and continuously, is very useful for the growth and the improvement of teaching quality and of teachers’ career. This study used Research and Development approach. The subjects of this study are 17 Chemistry teachers in Salatiga and 9 supervisors. The aim of this research is to devise the model of teaching supervision for high school chemistry teachers. Several steps were conducted which were 1) describing the model of the current high school chemistry teachers supervision, 2) constructing the model design, 3) validating the model design, 4) piloting the model design, 5) constructing final model of  professional competence – based teaching supervision on high school chemistry (SPK-SMA-BKP). This teaching supervision model requires a supervisor which is competent in supervising chemistry teaching, masters all high school teaching competencies, understands the basic principles and is experienced in conducting professional development continuously. In order to ensure the fulfillment of supervision’s aim, the teaching supervision will be conducted three times for each period of supervision so that the profile of chemistry teachers’ performance can be obtained comprehensively. Consequently, the diagnosis of strength and weaknesses can be conducted which leads to teaching supervision suitable for the needs of chemistry teachers.

Based on Slovin calculation, with α = 0,05the sample was 153 cadets. Data collection used behavior scale instrument with proven validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed by using IBM SPSS 22and SmartPLS 2.0 software. Estimation result on theoretical model showed that model was not fit.  Theoretical model development in alternative model C showed that the fit model fulfilled the goodness of fit with convergent validity>0,5, discriminant validity>0,7, average variance extracted (AVE) > 0,5, composite reability>0,7, cronbahs Alpha>0,6, communality > 0,5,dan R-square. The result of hypothesis test in general has T-statistics score >1,96. This finding model evaluates educational counseling theory by the empiric fact that educational counseling mediates educational leadership and organizational culture toward learning process. Thus, it recommends to develop educational counseling to increase its contribution toward learning and training in building field leadership character of Military Academy Cadet.

Abstract

The study aims to: describe the design of the training model, obtain the experimental results of the model, and investigate the effectiveness of the training model. This study employs the approach of Research and Development (R&D). The stages are: undergoing a preliminary study, setting up the empirical models based on the results of the preliminary analysis, drafting the hypothetical model based on the empirical models, designing validation by some experts, improving the model design, testing the effectiveness of hypothetical models, refining the hypothetical model into a finding model. The data are collected through observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. The descriptive data are analyzed qualitatively and analytically, using a paired t-test at a significance level of 5%. The model is equipped with a manual book of management training as its outcome product. The hypothetical model validation results show: the model performs very high effectiveness toward the mean score of teachers’ ability in designing entrepreneurship learning based on production unit after the application of the model at the score of 4.89 and before the application of the model at 1.36. The t value = 36,085> t table = 2.776 at 0.05 significance level, the difference of mean scores of instructional practices in schools for trained and untrained teachers at SMK 1 Jepara is at 4.83 and 1.83; SMK Kedung is at 4.83 and 1.50; SMK Kalinyamatan is at 4.67 and 1.67; SMK Pakis Aji is at 4.83 and 1.67, and SMK Muhammadiyah Keling is at 4.33 and 1.50. The evaluation results of the hypothetical model effectiveness based on its mean score is at 4.26 (very high) over 13 indicators. The study concludes that the training model of entrepreneurship learning based on production unit is effective to improve the quality of teachers in teaching entrepreneurship.
