Abstract

Previous research has shown that this process of social adaptation is related to the process of parenting and its relationship with parents. In parenting, of course, there is not only the role of the mother but there is the role of the father who participates in the parenting process. This study aims to determine the role of father involvement in teen girls' adjustment. The study used quantitative methods with purposive sampling technique methods. The participants were 145 female adolescents, aged 12-15 years, who had fathers living together. The instruments used in this study are the scale of social adjustment compiled from the theory of Schneiders and the scale of Father involvement, from Risnawati, Fihadinata, and Wardhni. Data analysis using simple regression. The results showed that there was a relationship between Father Involvement and Social Adjustment in teen girls with R = 0.240, p (0.000) <(0.05), which showed that father involvement played a role of 24% in the social adjustment of teen girls. This research presents a new paradigm that fathers have a significant role in the social development of adolescents, especially teen girls.

The results of the correlation between self-control and premarital sexual behavior show that there is a significant negative correlation between the two variables where if self-control is high then premarital sexual behavior is low, and vice versa if self-control is low then premarital sexual behavior will be high. Based on the comparative results of self-control and premarital sexual behavior in boarding houses and non-boarding houses students, it shows that non-boarding houses students have higher self-control than boarding houses students. While premarital sexual behavior in boarding houses students is higher than that of non-boarding houses students

Abstract

The 5.0 revolution era has transformed work into work with flexibility.  Flexibility at work allows employees to work anywhere, but this flexibility can cause psychological fatigue where employees cannot differentiate between work and rest time.  Therefore, employees redesign tasks and jobs according to their preferences, which is called job crafting.  This research aims to explain what factors can cause employees in the 5.0 era to carry out job crafting.  The research was conducted with a systematic literature review (SLR), using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis) and Bibliometric methods to filter topics, sub-topics and journals that fit the criteria.  Thus, 41 journals were obtained from databases, namely ScienceDirect, Emerald, PubMed, and SemanticScholar.  Based on the results of research that has been conducted, job crafting is influenced by autonomy (25%), work environment (18%), job demands (16%), job resources (15%), job satisfaction (13%), characteristics (13%).  Employees who do job crafting are usually very motivated to develop, so employees will look for ways to increase their work contribution.

Abstract

There is evidence that intolerance of uncertainty (IU) is associated with difficulty experiencing positive emotions such as happiness. There is a scarcity of research examining the relations between IU and Happiness during and after the covid-19 pandemic. We examined the degree to which IU predicts Happiness of young adults. This research was conducted using data from 555 participants, age 18 to 35 (SD = 3.34, M = 22.96). Data collected using the online questionnaire used will be created using items derived from two measuring instruments or scales that have been adapted by translating the scale items from English into Indonesian. IU was measured using 12 items the Intolerance for Uncertainty Scale (2 dimensions) from Shihata, McEvoy, and Mullan (2018). The Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (5 dimensions, 29 items) was used to measure happiness. As predicted, IU corelates and predicted happiness. The correlation test between dimensions shows that overall happiness has significant positive correlation with both dimension of IU. On the other hand, the total IU score did not correlate significantly with the life satisfaction dimension of happiness.

Abstract

The Digital Generation is considered a generation that lacks empathy. Based on the research results, this generation tends to think for themselves. One that makes a person have low empathy is alexithymia, which is a person's lack of ability to identify and describe and identify emotions within themselves. The lack of emotion and the absence of emotion makes satisfaction in communication also low. This study aims to see the level of alexithymia and empathy on communication satisfaction and relationship satisfaction. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. There were 102 research participants using random sampling technique. Data collection used the Alexithymia Scale (α=840) Empathy Scale (α=675) and Communication Satisfaction Scale (α=819). Test results using Path Analysis show that Alexithymia mediates the relationship between empathy and communication satisfaction with a contribution of 83%. It can be concluded that individuals who have high levels of alexithymia have high empathy and communication satisfaction.

Abstract

Domestic violence (DV) has a negative impact on women, especially older adults who have endured it for the longest periods compared to other age groups. After separation, they need psychological well-being (PWB), which first requires going through a period of Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). This involves positive coping after trauma, including greater appreciation for life, personal strength, spiritual change, closer relationships, and new possibilities (Tedeschi & Calhoun, 2012). Following PTG, these factors are adapted and directed toward good PWB, defined as the ability to accept oneself, maintain positive relationships, live independently, control one’s environment, have clear life goals, and strive for growth (Ryff, 1995). This study aims to describe the PWB of women survivors of domestic violence. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with three older adult informants. The findings show that all three informants underwent PTG: they adopted a growth mindset to develop themselves, sought help from others, recognized the importance of social support, deepened spirituality, and strengthened their relationship with God. These aspects contributed to excellent PWB, as all informants were able to accept themselves and forgive the past; maintain positive relationships with family, friends, and children; live autonomously; master their environment; achieve life goals and satisfaction; and strive for betterment for themselves, God, and others. Protective and risk factors also influenced their PWB
