Abstract

Handbooks are important teaching materials as a complement to modules in learning by using the PQRST method in script-based drama learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the needs, compile drafts, and validate experts. This research uses the research method and development (R&D) is to use the ADDIE development model. The results of this study are a handbook of the PQRST method that meets the needs of students and teachers, as well as a draft handbook of the PQRST method. Based on the results of validation tests by several experts, this handbook is suitable for use in script-based drama learning.

Abstract

This study aims to find out (1) to find out the locution speech acts in the beauty product advertising discourse on Instagram, (2) ) to find out the Illocutionary speech acts in the beauty product advertising discourse on Instagram, (3) ) to find out the Perlocution speech acts in the beauty product advertising discourse on Instagram. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with pragmatic methods. This research is used to describe and explain the form of locution, illocutionary and perlocutionary speech acts in the discourse of advertisements for products of woe on Instagram. This research has discussed the subject matter regarding locution, illocutionary, and perlocutionary speech acts in the discourse of beauty product advertisements on Instagram. here are 3 things that can be concluded. The results of the ananalysis of speech acts there are 20 data on the form of speech acts in the discourse ofantikan product advertisements on Instagram which were taken from posts in July 2021 to posts in July 2022. There are 20 data analysis results, namely 5 locution speech act data, 10 illocutionary speech act data, and 5 perlocution speech act data.

Abstract

Post-pandemic changes behavior and actions in all fields, especially the field of education. The digitization of education at this time is something that must be mastered by teachers. If teachers do not master Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), it will be outdated. The learning that is currently carried out must be integrated into technology. One that can be used is ICT-based interactive teaching materials even though there are still problems in writing learning. Writing learning on an independent curriculum must contain a learner profile. This research reviews the importance of ICT-based interactive teaching materials in writing learning. The results of the analysis of several articles show that ICT-based interactive teaching materials are one way to implement learning today. In addition, interactive teaching materials need to be loaded with Pancasila student profiles in accordance with the Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Campur kode berarti menggunakan dua bahasa atau lebih dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Kode mengacu pada bahasa berdasarkan ragam daerah, dialek sosial (siolek), ragam dan gaya, serta ragam pemakaian dan pencatatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan fenomena campur kode dalam komunikasi pada masyarakat desa Kedungbokor. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber bahan penelitian adalah para pedagang pasar tradisional desa Kedungbokor yang melakukan transaksi jual beli dan komunikasi masyarakat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pedagang pasar tradisional yang digunakan sebagai sumber data diidentifikasi terlebih dahulu. Pedagang pasar diobservasi dan diwawancarai oleh peneliti dengan menggunakan kuesioner.

Abstract

Social inequality in shaman associations in Indonesia has gained media attention. Shamanism is a popular profession in Indonesian society. This study aims to (1) describe the forms of actor partiality domination in the cnn.com and okezone news portals and (2) describe the forms of shaman marginalization in the cnn.com and okezone.com news portals. The subjects of this study are articles on the cnn.com and okezone.com news portals. At the same time, the object of this study is the strategy of exclusion and inclusion in the reporting of shaman figures. The data was collected using the documentation method in five articles on cnn.com and okezone.com. The data that met the criteria would be used. Therefore, this news is selected based on a purposive sampling technique. The data were then analyzed using Theo van Leeuwen's critical discourse analysis. The results show that (1) based on the statements in the media, it is known that shamans are already experiencing a shift in their position in society. The partiality of the shaman figure in reporting can be seen in the exclusion and inclusion strategies. Based on data, cnn.com is more in favor of shaman figures than okezone.com, and (2) this form of marginalization eventually pushed people's thinking and formed a new ideology. In a community in the past, shamans, who were described as intelligent people, were able to give trust to the community. However, at this time, shaman figures become news that is viewed negatively by the community.

Abstract

Community service activity is training in writing correspondence on contextual or real life. The team carried out the movement in the Lumbung Baca village of Luwungragi district of Bulakamba Brebes. The first part is the trainee's initial understanding of correspondence in a contextual approach, then the second part trainee's final experience and skills in writing the letter. This initial understanding is using questionnaires given to trainees. Then the trainees responded to the question to the questionnaire. The questionnaire contains about the knowledge of writing correspondence in contextual or real life. The understanding consists of definitions, objectives, functions, classifications, forms, and types of everyday letters. The student of Universitas Muhadi Setiabudi can show trainee in the following table. Thus, correspondence writing training in a real-life context can explain the trainees writing letters in Luwungragi village. In addition to learning, trainees also gain skills in writing letters for the results of writing a letter because of the devotion report attachment.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna leksikal dan makna gramatikal pada antologi puisi jawa berbahasa Tegal Karya Atmo Tan Sidik, Tri Mulyono, Dwi Ery Santoso dan implikasinya sebagai bahan ajar bahasa dan sastraIndonesia di SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan redaksi data, penyajian data, dan verification (penarikan kesimpulan). Materi analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu materi mengenai makna leksikal dan makna gramatikal. Bahan ajar adalah bagian penting dalam dunia pendidikan pada proses pembelajaran disekolah. Melalui bahan ajar guru akan lebih mudah pada kegiatan belajar dan siswa akan  lebih terbantu dalam memahami materi yang dipelajari. Bahan ajar adalah segala bentuk bahan yang digunakan oleh guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas, bahan yang dimaksud bisa berupa bahan tertulis atau bahan tidak tertulis.Kata Kunci: Semantik, Geguritan, dan Bahan Ajar

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat Brebes, khususnya para inovator lokal, tentang pentingnya perlindungan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) terhadap karya-karya inovatif. Kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai HKI menyebabkan banyak inovasi lokal tidak terlindungi dengan baik, sehingga rentan terhadap pencurian atau penggunaan tanpa izin. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan drafting HKI, serta pendampingan dalam penyusunan dokumen HKI. Dalam proses ini, peserta diberikan pengetahuan dasar mengenai konsep HKI dan teknik penyusunan dokumen yang diperlukan untuk pendaftaran hak cipta. Selain itu, simulasi pengajuan HKI juga dilakukan agar peserta lebih familiar dengan langkah-langkah proses pendaftaran. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap mekanisme HKI dan kemampuan mereka dalam menyusun dokumen HKI. 10 dokumen HKI telah selesai diajukan oleh peserta melalui pendampingan ini. Dengan terlaksananya kegiatan ini, diharapkan terjadi peningkatan kesadaran dan minat masyarakat Brebes dalam melindungi karya-karya inovatif mereka secara hukum, sehingga ekosistem inovasi lokal semakin berkembang dan kuat.

Abstract

The study aimed to exploring students’ perception of implementing AI Speech Recognition to facilitate students’ pronunciation in EFL Students context. Quantitative and qualitative data were gained by applying a questionnaire and interviews. The study conducted at Non-English and English Study Program from four different Universities: Universitas Muhadi Setiabudi, Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, Universitas Pekalongan, and Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Respondents in this study were 45 students from the English study program who joining the Pronunciation course and 75 non-English students who joining the English course. The result showed that students have positive perceptions of the use AI Speech Recognition in Google Read Along Application to facilitate English pronunciation learning. At the same time, students also stated that application's functionality may need to be supplemented with other learning tools for more comprehensive pronunciation training and the Google Read application would be more optimal if there was collaboration with the lecturer. In conclusion, the Google Read Along application is an effective tool for enhancing students' pronunciation skills and providing valuable feedback.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and impacts of spelling errors in the background of thesis of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI) Muhadi Setiabudi University in 2023. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis method, data were collected through documentation of the background of the students' theses. The results of the analysis showed a total of 272 cases of spelling errors, including 95 letter usage errors, 68 word spelling errors, 72 punctuation errors, 1 loan element spelling error, and 36 typos. The most frequently found errors were the incorrect use of capital letters, the writing of combined prepositions, and inaccuracy in the use of punctuation according to the Enhanced Spelling (EYD) Edition V. The impact of these spelling errors is very significant, including obscuring meaning, reducing the academic quality of scientific work, hindering the effectiveness of scientific communication, complicating the assessment process by the supervisor, and indicating a lack of student understanding of correct Indonesian language rules. These findings underscore the need for improved understanding of EYD Edition V, accuracy in writing, and more intensive guidance from supervisors to improve the quality of students' scientific writing. This research is expected to serve as a reference for students and educational institutions in efforts to improve language literacy and academic standards.
