Abstract

Betta fish is a fish that has a high economic value, Market demand always increasing. However, to get high Quality betta fish, efforts are still needed by importing from Singapore and Thailand so that a sustainable betta fish hatchery business is needed. To develop this betta fish hatchery business, the first thing that must be considered is the value of fecundity. Fecundity plays an important role in supporting the success of fish growth. This study aims to determine the relationship between the length and weight of betta fish broodstock to the value of fecundity as an effort to develop in the field of aquaculture, especially at the hatchery stage. The method used in this research is Descriptive method which is then analyzed using linear regression, namely the relationship between length and weight on the fecundity of betta fish. The data is presented in the form of tables and graphs which are then analyzed descriptively to draw conclusions from the resulting data. In this study, 30 brood betta fish were used with body weights ranging from 1.39 to 1.73gr and lengths of 4.5 to 5.2cm and the resulting fecundity ranged from 166 to 366 eggs. The results showed that fecundity had a close relationship with fish body weight where the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.9653 and the coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.9319. While the long relationship with fecundity has a moderate relationship where the correlation coefficient (r) obtained is 0.4079 and the coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.1664. This indicates that fish weight is better used to estimate the value of fish fecundity than body length. Keyword: Betta fish, Fecundity, Body weight, Body length

Abstract

Pemijahan menjadi salah satu faktor yang cukup penting dalam menghasilkan ikan yang berkualitas. Pemeliharaan induk tidak terlepas dari penyediaan pakan sebagai sumber nutrien induk. Nutrien sangat berpengaruh terhadap proses kematangan gonad juga kualitas telur dan sperma ikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis pakan yang berbeda terhadap performa telur yang diberikan pada induk ikan koi. Metode dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan pemberian pakan induk selama 3 hari dengan frekuensi pemberian tiga kali sehari menggunakan metode ad satiation. Perlakuan yang digunakan ialah perlakuan A (pakan pellet), perlakuan B (pakan bekicot) dan perlakuan C (pakan usus ayam). Parameter yang diamati diantaranya ialah fekunditas, derajat pembuahan (FR), derajat penetasan (HR) dan kelulushidupan (SR), selain tiu juga mengamati parameter kualitas air. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jenis pakan yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap performa kualitas telur ikan koi. Nilai fekunditas tertinggi ditunjukkan oleh perlakuan C dimana memiliki nilai fekunditas 65.217 ekor, FR terbaik ialah pada perlakuan B yaitu 84%, HR tertinggi ialah pada perlakuan B, dan SR tertinggi ialah pada perlakuan B. kualitas air pada media budidaya menunjukkan hasil yang optimum selama proses kegiatan budidaya. Kualitas air menunjukkan range suhu diperoleh ialah 24-28 °C; pH pada range 7,2-7,8; DO pada 5-11 mg/l; dan amonia 0 mg/l.

Abstract

The need for gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy) continues to increase, this can be seen from the gouramy trade which has begun at the egg stage, so research is needed that affects the number of eggs (fecundity) of the gouramy parent. In this study aims to determine the relationship between age and fecundity of gouramy. The research method used is comparative descriptive. Main gouramy fish is divided into 3 based on their age, pond A is 2.5 years old, pond B is 4 years old and pond C is 8 years old. Observations were made by taking eggs from the nest in each pond then counted manually. The observations showed that the parent who was 4 years old had the highest level of fecundity.Keyword : Age, Fecundity, Osphoronemus gourami

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of LAT ecdysis especially the Freshwater Lobster of the Cherax quadricarinatus type, aged 76 days to 116 days. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of LAT ecdysis, especially the Freshwater Lobster of the Cherax quadricarinatus type, aged 76 days to 116 days. This research was conducted at the Experimental Station for Freshwater Aquaculture Sumber Pasir, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya from July to August 2007. The method used in this study was a descriptive method in which this research gave an accurate description of an individual or group. Data collection techniques by way of direct observation. Then the data were analyzed statistically using the SPSS computer program version 11.5 for windows. Using simple linear regression analysis Crustacean growth is related to molting. In crustaceans, changes in shape and size can only occur if the hard calcareous exoskeleton is removed before the new cuticle hardens. Periodic molting or ecdysis continues by separating the old cuticle from the new instar, holding water absorption through the digestive tract, which is a characteristic of the Crustacea group as well as other aquatic insects. Then, the absorbed water is gradually replaced by biosynthesized protein, this growth process takes place continuously, the molting cycle can be divided into four stages, namely: proecdysis, ecdysis, metecdysis and intermoult.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merancangan teknologi informasi pada bidang pertanian dengan konsep "sawah digital" sebagai upaya kemajuan pertanian modern di kabupaten banyuwangi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengkaji faktor penghambat yang dihadapi petani dalam proses pertanian di Kabupaten Banyuwangi, (2) Mengkaji manajemen kontroling terhadap petani yang ada di Kabupaten Banyuwangi, (3) Merancang model networking antara petani dan dinas terkait yang ada di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Penerapan Teknologi Informasi (TI) dalam bidang pertanian saat ini sangat diperlukan untuk keberhasilan produktivitas tani yang dihasilkan. Dengan Teknologi Informasi (TI), petani Indonesia dapat dengan cepat dan mudah memperoleh informasi tentang pertanian untuk meningkatkan produktivitasnya. Teknologi Informasi (TI) juga berperan terhadap pemasaran hasil pertanian, petani dapat memasarkan produknya melalui media internet. Selain itu, petani juga dapat memantau dan mengatur dengan lebih praktis, lebih ekonomis dan efisien melalui internet. Banyaknya manfaat yang diperoleh dari perkembangan TI dapat membantu terbentuknya proses pembangunan pertanian. Dan harapan masyarakat untuk mendapatkan kesejahteraan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan dapat terealisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif metode action researh. Untuk memperoleh data penelitian dilakukan dengan mempergunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Kata kunci: Pertanian, Teknologi Informasi, Sawah Digital.

Abstract

Cyprinus carpio is a freshwater fish that is in great demand by the public because of several advantages, including its high protein content and affordable price. Carp (C. carpio) cultivation requires artificial feed as nutrients to support its growth. One aspect of stunted growth is low feed utilization, this is related to feed protein digestibility that is not optimal. One way to increase the digestibility of feed is by adding probiotics. The purpose of this study was to examine the addition of probiotics to artificial feed on the level of feed consumption, the value of the feed conversion ratio, the retention of protein in meat and retention of fat in the fish of Cyprinus carpio. This research was conducted in May-June 2022 at the Laboratory of the School of Health and Natural Sciences. The results found that the addition of different types of probiotics to the feed can affect the level of consumption, feed conversion ratio, protein retention and fat retention of Cyprinus carpio fish. This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Observations on each treatment showed different results. The results showed that probiotics had an effect (p<0.05) on TKP, RKP, RP, and RL. The best use of probiotics is found in P4 with the content of probiotic bacteria, namely Lactobacillus sp. Acetobacter sp. and yeast. The results obtained in the P4 treatment with a total value of 105.93 grams of feed consumption, 1.40 feed conversion ratio value, 65.68% meat protein retention value, and 187.59% meat fat retention value

Abstract

Perkembangan produksi ikan koi mengalami peningkatan sehingga memacu pembudidaya ikan koi untuk mengembangkan usaha budidayanya. Salah satu masalah yang dapat mengganggu proses budidaya ikan koi adalah penyakit virus. Golongan virus yang sering menginfeksi ikan koi (Cyprinus rubrofucus) yaitu Koi Herpes Virus (KHV) yang menyebabkan kerugian cukup besar. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pemeriksaan KHV pada ikan koi untuk mencegah persebaran KHV. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Balai Karantina Ikan, Pengendalian Mutu, Dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan (BKIPM) Surabaya I, Jawa Timur pada tanggal 26 Juni sampai 25 Agustus 2023. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu untuk mengetahui prosedur pemeriksaan KHV dan hasil pemeriksaan KHV selama proses pemeriksaan di BKIPM Surabaya I. Metode kerja yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pengambilan data dengan data primer dan data sekunder. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi, partisipasi aktif dan studi pustaka. Pemeriksaan KHV di BKIPM Surabaya I menggunakan metode PCR konvensional yang terdiri dari tahap ekstraksi DNA, amplifikasi DNA, elektroforesis, dan visualisasi hasil. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan selama penelitian ditemukan 2 sampel positif KHV pada ikan koi (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) dari 48 sampel yang diperiksa.

Abstract

Carassius auratus is one of the potential ornamental freshwater fish in Indonesia. The potential of this fish increases along with the dominance of the colors produced during cultivation. We have demonstrated to treat differences in the light spectrum to increase the brightness of the colors. Completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications as the design i.e., (P1) negative control with no LED, (P2) positive control using white LED light and a room light intensity, (P3) red LED, (P4) green LED, and (P5) blue LED. We reported that the red LED was the light spectrum that produced the best treatment to increase the color brightness and growth of goldfish. The brightness level of the color in the P3 treatment was 63,04% as measured by Adobe Photoshop; using the M-TCF method, it was 8,94% body color, 9,37% dorsal fin, and 9,31% tail fin. Meanwhile, the best specific growth rate were found in P5 followed by P3 treatment in a row of 5,33 ± 0,66b, 3,46 ± 0,57ab, respectively. The red color spectrum produced the best pigmentation but the blue color spectrum was the best for the growth of C. auratus.

Abstract

Barred loach Nemacheilus fasciatus are unable to reproduce naturally in captivity due to the lack of environmental cues and gonadal maturation occurs slower than in the wild. To optimize breeding procedures for this fish species, we determined whether hormone application via the gills was an effective process and assessed hormone dosage treatments. Oodevâ„¢ was used to induce gonadal maturation and Ovaprimâ„¢ was used to induce spawning via a topical gill approach. Multiple maturation parameters such as gonadal-somatic index (GSI) and hepatosomatic index (HSI), fecundity, and egg diameter; and spawning parameters such as latency period, egg produce, fertilization rate (FR), hatching rate (HR), survival rate (SR) were recorded and compared between the hormone dosage treatments and control treatment. Both the Oodevâ„¢ gonadal maturation induction and Ovaprimâ„¢ spawning induction were effectively applied to barred loach via topical gill application. Gonadal maturation parameters were positively correlated with dosage and all were significantly different. Fry survival rate was not different between doses. The optimal dose of Oodevâ„¢ (0.75 µL/g fish) resulted in male GSI of 5.334 ± 0.320%, female GSI of 15.501 ± 0.675%, male HSI of 0.416 ± 0.023%, female HSI of 1.670 ± 0.104%, egg fecundity 4584.20 ± 493.216 eggs, egg diameter 0.964 ± 0.0151 mm. Ovaprimâ„¢ optimal dosage (3.00 µL/g female and 1.50 µL/g male) was resulted latency period 11.05 ± 0.52 hours, egg produced 3504.83 ± 358.57, FR 96.77 ± 0.88%, HR 83.62 ± 3.78%, and SR 91.44 ± 2.53%.

Abstract

Marine fish commodities in Indonesia, both exported and imported, have experienced a significant increase. This increase opens up opportunities for the risk of entry and spread of fish pests and diseases, both on an export scale between countries and between areas within Indonesia. One of the pathogens that is acute that can cause major losses is the virus. The virus that often attacks sea water ornamental fish is Viral haemorrhagic septicemia. The purpose of this study was to detect the presence of VHSV that infects marine ornamental fish commodities using namely: necropsy, fixation, extraction, amplification, and reading of results. This research was conducted at Fish Quarantine Inspection Agency Denpasar, Bali. Based on the test results, VHS was found to attack six samples of marine fish species with codes namely NTC, BC 8.2, BC 9.2, BAR 8.2, 1252, NSR 8.2.
