Abstract

In its development, many new concrete modifications were found, such as lightweight concrete, fiber concrete, polymer concrete, high-strength concrete and ultra-high-strength concrete. Epoxy resin can accelerate the hardening process of concrete because epoxy itself generates heat so that it helps accelerate hardening. In previous studies, the addition of areca nut shell fiber and 0.8% epoxy resin can increase the split tensile strength of concrete. Based on the description above, it is necessary to conduct research on the split tensile strength of concrete that combines a mixture of pineapple leaf fiber and epoxy resin. So this research uses pineapple leaf fiber and epoxy resin. Pineapple leaf fiber and epoxy resin are expected to be strength-enhancing materials that can produce concrete with more optimal split tensile strength.  The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of epoxy resin and the percentage variation of pineapple leaf fiber on the split tensile strength of concrete and its comparison with normal concrete and to determine the percentage level of the addition of the most optimum pineapple leaf fiber to produce the maximum concrete split tensile strength test value among the planned variations. The method used in this research is experimental. From the results of the average split tensile strength test at 28 days, the epoxy resin variation of 0.8% achieved a strength of 2.87 MPa, the 0.15% variation achieved 2.37 MPa, and the 0.5% variation achieved 2.47 MPa

Abstract

Environmental safety and order are important aspects of creating a harmonious and prosperous community life. Environmental Security Posts (Pos Kamling) play an important role as a community-based security system in maintaining order and preventing crime. However, residents in RT. 17, Sukamulya Village, Sematang Borang District, Palembang City are facing the problem of the increasing number of vehicle theft cases parked in their home yards. Therefore, this community service activity is carried out with the aim of designing and building a neighborhood watch post as a solution to improve environmental security. The methods used include field surveys, direct observation, and interviews with RT officials and local residents to collect relevant data and information. The results of this service include the preparation of Pos Kamling planning documents, including the calculation of the Budget Plan (RAB), as well as the physical construction of the post until it is ready for use. Beside being a security monitoring center, the neighborhood watch post also serves as a means of social interaction that can strengthen relationships between residents. A Pos Kamling management unit was established after the activity to carry out the patrol SOP, supply the duty schedule, oversee the fast reporting channel, and accept the transfer of DED, RAB, and SOP papers as operational instructions.

Abstract

Pavements in Indonesia often experience damage before the planned service life is reached, one of which is caused by permanent deformation due to excessive load pressure, such as that produced by heavy vehicles. This study aims to analyze the effect of latex addition on the characteristics of AC-WC pavement type asphalt mixtures using elastomer modified asphalt. The use of asphalt is varied in five levels, namely 4%, 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, and 6% of the total aggregate weight. The AC-WC mixture manufacturing process refers to the 2018 Bina Marga specifications (Revision 2). The results showed that the addition of latex affected the characteristics of the Marshall value in the asphalt mixture compared to conventional asphalt, where the VMA value with latex additives decreased by 1% at a latex content of 5% with a value of 18.029. The VFA value decreased by 1% at a latex content of 5% with a value of 73.805. The VIM value in this mixture is still within the required specifications, which is between 3% and 5%. The stability value increased significantly at 7% latex content with a value of 3249.7, while the MQ value increased significantly at 7% latex content with a value of 2214.137. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that asphalt containing latex has better durability compared to conventional asphalt, so it can be used as an alternative to improve the quality of road pavement in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi (NaOH dan Na2SiO3) terhadap uji kuat tekan beton geopolimer, menganalisis variasi alkali aktivator yang paling optimal, dan menganalisis pengaruh aktivator pada fly ash sebagai bahan pengikat terhadap pengujian setting time campuran beton geopolimer. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) dan American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Hasil pengujian kuat tekan beton geopolimer didapat nilai kuat tekan tertinggi yaitu pada BG 12-1 sebesar 15,02 Mpa. Dengan penggunaan alkali aktivator 12 M perbadingan 1:2 (Na2SiO3:NaOH). Untuk pengujian setting time waktu ikat tercepat diperoleh oleh beton geopolimer 12 M dengan perbandingan 1:2  dengan initial time 131 menit dan final time 180 menit. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh alkali aktivator dengan perbandingan larutan NaOH lebih besar dibanding Na2SiO3, lebih berpengaruh terhadap nilai uji kuat tekan beton serta memiliki waktu ikat atau setting time yang cepat.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi kapasitas tampungan kolam retensi Rumah Sakit Siti Khodijah, Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kawasan RS. Siti Khodijah JL. Demang Lebar Daun Palembang. Data yang telah diperoleh kemudian diolah dengan melakukan perhitungan menggunakan analisis frekuensi dengan menggunakan metode gumbel dan metode log person III, lalu melakukan perhitungan curah hujan wilayah, setelah itu melakukan perhitungan pada dimensi saluran kolam retensi, volume, dan debit banjir rencana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa volume kolam retensi sebesar 72.086 m3, sedangkan dari hasil perhitungan curah hujan, diperoleh volume sebesar 81.128 m3. Kapasitas kolam retensi yang tidak mencukupi dan pintu air yang tidak berfungsi dengan baik mengakibatkan terjadinya banjir di kawasan sekitar kolam retensi Rumah Sakit Siti Khodijah tersebut.

Abstract

Clay soils characterized as soft soils often cause problems due to their weak bearing capacity and long consolidation time. Rice husk ash, which is one of the wastes derived from burning rice stalks and leaves, can be used to increase the bearing capacity of the soil. This research analyzed the effect of adding rice husk ash as a mixture in soil stabilization at 0%, 8%, 12% and 16%. Based on laboratory testing using soil samples from Jalan Merdeka RT 14 Bawah Alai Balai Agung Village, Sekayu District, South Sumatra. Bawah Alai, Balai Agung Urban Village, Sekayu District, South Sumatra. It is concluded that the effect of rice husk ash makes the shear angle of the soil smaller or reduced. The highest shear angle was obtained when the addition of 8% rice husk ash amounted to 9.373 kPa. When adding 12% and 16% rice husk ash, the shear angle of the soil decreased to 4.651 kPa and 4.288 kPa, respectively. The addition of variation in rice husk ash affects the cohesion value (c), overall it can be said that the value of soil shear angle increases with the lower variation in the soil mixture.

Abstract

Jalan Raya merupakan infrastruktur transportasi darat yang sangat penting dalam menghubungkan berbagai kegiatan ekonomi dan sosial, memperlancar mobilitas antar kota dan desa, kelancaran arus barang. Jalan yang terus-menerus menerima beban volume lalu lintas yang tinggi akan mengakibatkan terjadinya penurunan kualitas jalan, sehingga menyebabkan terjadinya kerusakan lebih cepat bahkan hingga ke struktur perkerasan. Ruas Jalan Lintas Sumatera Lubuk Linggau, salah satu alternatif sebagai penghubung jalan lintas sumatera lubuk linggau sebagai jalan nasional kondisi jalan harus dalam keadaan mantap. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis kerusakan yang terjadi pada ruas jalan Lintas Lubuk Linggau, Untuk mengetahui nilai kondisi pada ruas jalan Lintas lubuk linggau dengan menggunakan metode Pavement Condition Index (PCI) untuk menghitung nilai kondisi permukaan jalan dan Mengetahui Jenis penanganan kerusakan jalan pada ruas jalan lintas sumatera Lubuk Linggau. Hasil analisa luas kerusakan pada Jalan Lintas Sumatera Lubuk Linggau KM 300 - KM 325 yaitu lubang sebanyak 146,84, amblas 37,80, pelepasan butir 75,82, retak memanjang 17,00, retak pinggiran, 29,40, tambalan 22,20, dan pengausan 209,10. Nilai kondisi perkerasan tertinggi sebesar 97 termasuk kategori sempurna terdapat pada KM 318 + 000 – 319. Nilai PCI terendah sebesar 70 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik pada KM 303 + 000 – 304 + 000.

Abstract

Sedimentation is one of the main factors affecting the hydraulic capacity and performance of urban rivers. This study aims to analyze flow capacity and the impact of sedimentation on a river’s ability to convey flow optimally. Flow capacity analysis was conducted using the Frijlink method with a rectangular channel cross-section approach, while sediment distribution and accumulation were analyzed through hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS software. The analysis results show that the river’s flow capacity is 3,381 m3/s. An evaluation of bed sedimentation indicates that observation point 3 has the highest sedimentation rate, with a sediment discharge of 2.85 × 10-8 m3/s/m and a sedimentation volume of 5.78 × 10-4 m3/s. The HEC-RAS modeling results show that the river’s capacity is unable to accommodate the flow rate optimally under high rainfall conditions, thus potentially causing local flooding or waterlogging.
