Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of experiential marketing within the boarding school ecosystem and identify the key factors that enhance parental loyalty. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and interpretive conclusion techniques. Findings indicate that experiential marketing is not formally structured but naturally embedded in students’ spiritual, social, and academic experiences. Critical success factors include firsthand student experiences, service quality, effective communication, adherence to religious values, and the positive institutional image conveyed through documentation. These elements contribute to heightened parental satisfaction, trust, engagement, and loyalty, often manifested through recommendations and continued enrollment. The study underscores that a comprehensive, experience-based marketing strategy grounded in religious and educational values is more effective for fostering long-term parental loyalty than traditional marketing approaches, offering a practical framework for boarding schools seeking sustainable relationship-building strategies while enhancing their reputation and perceived educational quality.

Abstract

This study examines the role of economics in shaping effective marketing strategies for Islamic educational institutions, particularly in building public trust and long-term loyalty. The increasing competition among educational providers and the growing expectations of Muslim communities necessitate a strategic integration of economic principles with Islamic values. This research aims to analyze how value-based marketing, transparency, and Islamic branding contribute to trust formation and loyalty sustainability. Employing a non-empirical design, the study adopts a conceptual and theoretical approach through a systematic review of relevant literature in Islamic marketing, educational management, and behavioral economics. The analytical framework integrates theories of Islamic marketing ethics, experiential marketing, and institutional trust to construct a comprehensive model. The findings indicate that the incorporation of Sharia-compliant marketing principles, supported by transparency and accountability, strengthens institutional credibility and enhances stakeholder engagement. Furthermore, the study highlights that trust acts as a mediating variable linking marketing strategies to long-term loyalty, while consistent value delivery ensures sustainability. The discussion emphasizes the importance of aligning economic strategies with religious and cultural expectations to achieve competitive advantage. These insights contribute to the development of a more ethical and sustainable marketing paradigm in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study examines the role of marketing intelligence in enhancing the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions through the strategic utilization of digital data. Rapid digital transformation has intensified competition among educational institutions, creating a need for data-driven decision-making capabilities that extend beyond conventional marketing approaches. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from leaders, marketing managers, public relations officers, and digital communication personnel from Islamic schools, pesantren, and Islamic higher education institutions. The proposed model was tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings demonstrate that marketing intelligence constitutes a multidimensional capability encompassing digital data acquisition, market sensing capability, stakeholder intelligence, competitive intelligence, and analytical capability. Measurement model evaluation confirmed the reliability and validity of all constructs. Structural analysis revealed that analytical capability, stakeholder intelligence, and competitive intelligence exert significant positive effects on institutional competitiveness. The validated model indicates that competitive advantage is generated not merely through digital technology adoption but through the organizational capacity to transform digital information into strategic knowledge. The study contributes to educational management literature by providing an empirically validated framework linking digital data utilization, marketing intelligence, and institutional competitiveness in Islamic education.
