Abstract

The study was conducted from November 2012 to January 2013, located in the waters of Nusi Island, Nabire Regency and aims to assess the growth of white sea cucumber (Holothuria scabra) in different density stockings. The results showed that the solid dispersion of 15 specimens/50 cm2 gave better weight growth results when compared with the density of 5 specimens/50 cm2 and the density of 10 specimens/50 cm2. Daily growth for density of 5 specimens/50 cm2 is 0.03 g, the density of 10 specimens/50 cm2 is 0.01 g and the density of 15 specimens / 50 cm2 is 0.04 g. The survival rate of white sea cucumbers during the study at all treatments was 100%. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2012 hingga Januari 2013, bertempat di perairan Pulau Nusi, Kabupaten Nabire dan bertujuan untuk mengkaji pertumbuhan teripang putih (Holothuria scabra) pada padat penebaran yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa padat penebaran 15 spesimen/50 cm2memberikan hasil pertumbuhan berat lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan padat penebaran 5 spesimen/50 cm2 dan padat penebaran 10 spesimen/50 cm2. Pertumbuhan harian untuk padat penebaran 5 spesimen/50 cm2 adalah 0,03 g, padat penebaran 10 spesimen/50 cm2 adalah 0,01 g dan padat penebaran 15 spesimen/50 cm2 adalah 0,04 g. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup teripang putih selama penelitian pada semua perlakuan adalah 100%. Kata Kunci: Teripang putih, padat penebaran, Pulau Nusi, Pertumbuhan

Abstract

Research on whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) was conducted from September 1st to December 20th, 2020 in Kwatisore waters. Kwatisore waters are within the conservation area of the Cenderawasih Bay National Park and have specifications for the number of whale sharks and the appearance of new individuals. The appearance of whale sharks individuals takes place every day around the boat life net area that is anchored in Kwatisore waters. This study aims to assess whale shark aggregation, particularly the total appearances and number of individual appearances in eight boat life net units. The number of appearances and the number of individual whale sharks is very dependent on the catch of anchovies by each boat life net unit and the feed of anchovies given by the fishermen. The results showed that there were 499 appearances of whale sharks consisting of 15 individuals, of which 13 individuals were identified, while 2 were new individuals who had not been identified. The new individual for ID 182 is named Yan Maruanaya and ID 183 is named Bram Maruanaya. The percentage of whale sharks appears during the period of September to December 2020 is 100% male with a length of 3 to 6 m.

Abstract

Berkaca dari pengalaman Indonesia dari berbagai ancaman gempa bumi dan tsunami yang terjadi sejak beberapa tahun belakangan ini, maka diperlukan kebijakan pemerintah dalam mengatur zonasi di wilayah pesisir dengan menetapkan pengaturan tentang batas sempadan pantai. Penetapan Batas Sempadan Pantai di atur dalam dalam Undang-Undang No. 27/2007 tentang Pengelolaan Wilayah Pesisir. Disebutkan bahwa fungsi sempadan pantai adalah untuk melindungi pantai terhadap gempa dan/atau tsunami ; terhadap erosi dan abrasi ; dari badai, banjir, dan bencana alam lainnya ; serta melindungi ekosistem pesisir. Sempadan pantai mengatur tentang pemanfaatan di kawasan sempadan pantai, yang diperuntukkan bagi kegiatan Perikanan, Pertanian, Rekreasi pantai, Kehutanan, Riset dan penelitian, Pertahanan dan Keamanan, Objek vital nasional, Kepelabuhanan, Lapangan udara, Perlindungan maritime dan Kegiatan budaya atau ritual keagamaan. Sayangnya, pembangunan di pesisir berjalan tanpa mengindahkan rencana zonasi yang telah ditetapkan. Seiring dengan perkembangan waktu dan timbulnya berbagai ancaman di wilayah pesisir yang diakibatkan oleh alam maupun manusia, maka pemerintah perlu mempertegas pengaturan tentang batas sempadan pantai yang adalah 100 meter dari pasang tertinggi

Abstract

The appearance of whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) is related to the availability of food in a water area, and it has become a tourist attraction which requires integrated management to prevent it from becoming threats to whale sharks. The appearance of whale sharks is regular throughout the year with the highest number of individuals occurring only in Kwatisore waters. This study aims to examine the bio-ecology of whale sharks related to their appearance based on individuals, quantity, time of appearance, and sex. Primary data collection carried out from January 16 to March 26, 2023, using a census method on 4 units of fishing lift-net deployed in Kwatisore waters. The results showed that 21 individual whale sharks appeared with a total of 225 occurrences in January, 245 occurrences in February, and 248 occurrences in March. There was also one new individual that migrated into Kwatisore waters with the ID number 184. Whale shark appearances mostly happened in the morning and the appearance percentage was 100% male with a total length ranging from 3 to 7.5 m. Environmental factors in Kwatisore waters were in normal conditions supporting the appearance of whale sharks. Keywords: Whale sharks, appearance, new individual, environmental factors

Abstract

The good mangrove management for coastal communities in Ambon City, especially in Teluk Ambon Dalam (TAD) has many benefits. However, coastal communities which is living in mangrove ecosystem areas do not yet have much knowledge about the importance of mangroves and the benefits of the mangrove ecosystem. Therefore, the development of the Mitra/Innovation Village was carried out as an effort to contribute to the application of marine and fisheries science to build coastal villages in improving community welfare. The purpose of this Community Service (PKM) activity is to increase the knowledge and awareness of the Waiheru Village community about the importance of maintaining and preserving the mangrove ecosystem in a sustainable manner by maintaining environmental cleanliness in the context of developing ecotourism.The material presented in this socialization activity was about the function and benefits of the mangrove ecosystem in the development of Mangrove Ecotourism in Waiheru Village, Ambon City. After that, the Community Service (PKM) activity was continued by conducting a cleaning action around the mangrove ecosystem by cadets together with the village community. To determine the effectiveness of the Community Service (PKM) activity, the N-Gain Score approach was used with a value obtained of 67,86% (quite effective category). It is hoped that in the future the coastal community in Waiheru Village can increase efforts to preserve the mangrove ecosystem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji status populasi kepiting bakau (Scylla sp.) di perairan muara Sungai Kalibumi, Distrik Nabire Barat, Kabupaten Nabire, Provinsi Papua Tengah. Kajian dilakukan melalui analisis distribusi frekuensi lebar karapas, parameter pertumbuhan, mortalitas, dan tingkat eksploitasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan fisher-based survey, yaitu pendekatan yang melibatkan nelayan lokal dalam pengambilan data biologi perikanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai panjang asimtotik (L?) jantan dan betina sama, yaitu 162,75 mm. Namun, nilai koefisien pertumbuhan (K) berbeda, dengan jantan sebesar 1,10 dan betina 1,50, yang menunjukkan bahwa kepiting betina memiliki laju pertumbuhan lebih cepat. Umur teoritis pada panjang nol (t?) adalah -0,260 untuk jantan dan -0,421 untuk betina. Angka kematian alami (M) jantan sebesar 1,20 dan akibat penangkapan (F) sebesar 4,08, sedangkan pada betina M sebesar 1,47 dan F sebesar 5,20. Tingkat eksploitasi (E) mencapai 0,77 untuk jantan dan 0,78 untuk betina, yang mengindikasikan telah terjadi eksploitasi berlebih (overfishing). Temuan ini menekankan perlunya penerapan langkah-langkah pengelolaan, seperti pembatasan ukuran tangkap dan kuota panen, guna menjaga kelestarian populasi kepiting bakau di wilayah studi

Abstract

The waters of Kwatisore are recognized as a consistent aggregation site for whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) throughout the year, with an increasing number of individuals observed. Understanding individual occurrence patterns is essential for monitoring population dynamics and conservation planning. This study aimed to analyze the daily occurrence of whale sharks based on individual identification and assess the entry of new individuals into the Kwatisore waters. Data collection was conducted from November 2023 to January 2024. A total of 27 male individuals were recorded, with a cumulative 592 sightings. Body lengths ranged from 2.5 to 5 meters, dominated by individuals approximately 3.5 meters in length. Spatial distribution of daily occurrences followed the positioning of anchored lift-net fishing gear (bagan), while temporal distribution showed a higher occurrence during morning hours. In 2023, 13 new individuals were recorded entering the area. The daily appearances were dominated by juvenile-sized individuals, and sighting frequency varied among individuals. Spatial and temporal patterns were strongly influenced by anchovy (Stolephorus spp.) catches from the bagan gear, while the entry of new individuals contributed to the growing aggregation of whale sharks in the Kwatisore waters. Abstract

This study analyzes the role of Human Resource Management (HRM) in supporting sustainability within Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Through a comprehensive literature review of publications from 2020-2024, the research explores sustainable HRM practices including training, green leadership, and performance management systems. Utilizing Publish or Perish and VOSviewer software, the study identifies key themes and conceptual relationships in the literature. Findings reveal that sustainable HRM practices significantly contribute to human resource optimization and business sustainability. VOSviewer mapping uncovered relationships between HRM innovation, sustainable development, and MSME sustainability. The research highlights the importance of job training and visionary HRM approaches in supporting sustainable transformation. This study provides critical insights into the strategic role of HRM in achieving organizational sustainability

Abstract

Kabupaten Nabire yang terletak di Teluk Cenderawasih memiliki potensi sumber daya perikanan yang tinggi, terutama ikan cakalang (Katsuwonus pelamis) yang menjadi sumber utama pendapatan sekaligus konsumsi masyarakat nelayan asli Papua. Namun, keterbatasan modal dan sarana penangkapan berdampak pada hasil tangkapan dan tingkat kesejahteraan nelayan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jumlah hasil tangkapan ikan cakalang, hubungan panjang–berat, serta aspek ekonominya. Penelitian dilakukan pada Februari hingga April 2025 melalui pengamatan langsung terhadap hasil tangkapan nelayan dengan alat pancing ulur dan pancing tonda, serta analisis hubungan panjang–berat ikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lokasi penangkapan berada pada jarak 4–6 mil dari pantai dengan perahu motor tempel berkapasitas 15–40 PK. Trip penangkapan berlangsung 13–24 hari dengan jumlah tangkapan 960–1430 ekor dan panjang ikan berkisar 20,2–57,8 cm. Analisis menunjukkan pola pertumbuhan alometrik negatif, yang berarti pertambahan panjang lebih cepat dibanding berat. Produktivitas penangkapan berkisar 120–179 menit per ekor, sedangkan pendapatan nelayan sangat dipengaruhi oleh jumlah hasil tangkapan dan harga jual ikan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan sarana penangkapan serta strategi pengelolaan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung kesejahteraan nelayan lokal

Abstract

Memaksimalkan upaya pengelolaan Teluk Cenderawasih dengan mempertimbangkan tujuan pengelolaan sumber daya perikanan maka Teluk Cenderawasih dan perairan disekitarnya di petakan dalam Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan Negara Republik Indonesia 717 (WPP NRI 717) yang terhubung dengan perairan Samudera Pasifik dimana teluk Cenderawasih memiliki keanekaragaman hayati perairan yang tinggi dan dalam mempertahankan keanekaragaman hayati tersebut maka sebagian wilayah perairan Teluk Cenderawasih telah ditetapkan sebagai kawasan konservasi dengan status Taman Nasional Teluk Cenderawasih (TNTC). Luasan TNTC secara keseluruan adalah 1.453.500 ha, yang mencakup perairan pada wilayah adminstrasi Kabupaten Wondama dan Kabupaten Ransiki, Papua Barat dan Kabupaten Nabire, Papua Tengah. Kondisi riil yang terjadi akibat kesalahan pemanfaatan, yaitu hilangnya kawasanmangrove di muara sungai Kalibumi, Kampung Waroki Distrik Nabire Barat sehingga tekanan ombak menyebabkan terjadinya abrasi pantai karena fungsi fisik mangrove sebagai peredam tekanan ombak telah hilang sehingga berdampak pada kerusakan pemukiman masyarakat, hal ini mendorong untuk pengelolaan dan penanganan wilayah pesisir secara holistik antara Universitas Satya Wiyata Mandala Nabire dengan TNI Angkatan Laut Nabire dan Bidang Pengelolaan Taman Nasional Wilayah I Nabire maka masing-masing pihak bekerjasama dalam setiap kegiatan yang menjadi program tahunan sehingga menghasilkan out-put yang berdampak terhadap pemulihan kawasan pesisir yang telah mengalami kerusakan sehingga mengembalikan fungsi ekologi sebagai restorasi untuk kepentingan recruitment populasi sumber daya ikan dan lingkungan daerah pesisir.
