Abstract

Mangrove forest is a very productive and beneficial ecosystem. Mangrove forest resources in Amahai Village will be increasingly exploited along with the increasing population and economic pressure. The aim of this research is to identify the forms of use by the community in the mangrove area, and to recommend mangrove ecosystem management strategies in Amahai Village. This research was conducted in the mangrove forest area of ​​Amahai Village, Central Maluku Regency from September to November 2018. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique of 36 respondents. The analytical method used is data analysis of descriptive qualitative to identify forms of utilization by the community. SWOT analysis is used to analyze the management strategies of mangrove ecosystem on Amahai Village by identifying internal strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunities external threats. The results obtained five forms of utilization carried out in the mangrove area of ​​Amahai Village, those are fishing, collecting sea cucumbers, gleaning shellfish (bameti), tourism (recreation), and research. There are eight management strategies produced, namely 1) implementing government policies to maintain the potential of mangrove ecosystem resources in order to meet community needs and regional income; 2) utilizing the potential of mangrove ecosystem resources for ecotourism activities and support science and technology; 3) revitalization of customary institutions as an effort to manage mangrove ecosystem areas; 4) organizing resource processing activities in the mangrove ecosystem to meet nutritional needs and increase community income; 5) development of mangrove areas with an environmental insight; 6) improving MCS (Monitoring, Controling and Surveillance); 7) improving coordination among stakeholders; and 8) increasing community knowledge and awareness about the function of mangrove ecosystems and the skills of the communities around the mangrove area. ABSTRAK Hutan mangrove merupakan suatu ekosistem yang sangat produktif dan memberikan manfaat. Sumberdaya hutan mangrove di Negeri Amahai akan semakin tereksploitasi seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk dan desakan ekonomi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat di kawasan mangrove, serta merekomendasikan strategi pengelolaan ekosistem mangrove di Negeri Amahai. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kawasan hutan mangrove Negeri Amahai, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah pada bulan September hingga November 2018. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap responden sebanyak 36 orang. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis data deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk pemanfaatan yang dilakukan masyarakat. Analisa SWOT digunakan untuk menganalisis strategi pengelolaan ekosistem mangrove Negeri Amahai dengan mengideintifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan internal serta peluang dan ancaman eksternal. Hasil penelitian diperoleh lima bentuk pemanfaatan yang dilakukan pada kawasan mangrove Negeri Amahai yaitu penangkapan ikan, pengumpulan teripang, bameti, wisata (rekreasi), serta penelitian. Terdapat delapan strategi pengelolaan yang dihasilkan yaitu 1) mengimplementasikan kebijakan pemerintah untuk menjaga potensi sumberdaya ekosistem mangrove guna pemenuhan kebutuhan masyarakat dan pendapatan daerah; 2) memanfaatkan potensi sumberdaya ekosistem mangrove untuk kegiatan ekowisata serta mendukung ilmu pengetahuan dan terknologi; 3) revitalisasi kelembagaan adat sebagai upaya mengelola kawasan eksoistem mangrove; 4) menyelenggarakan kegiatan pengolahan sumberdaya pada ekosistem mangrove untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi dan meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat; 5) pengembangan kawasan mangrove yang berwawasan lingkungan; 6) peningkatan monitoring, controling and surveilance; 7) meningkatkan koordinasi antar stakeholder; dan 8) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang fungsi ekosistem mangrove serta keterampilan masyarakat sekitar daerah mangrove Kata Kunci: Strategi pengelolaan, ekosistem mangrove, SWOT, keberlanjutan, Negeri Amahai

Abstract

The waters of the bay are known among domestic and foreign tourists as a tourist destination. Various tourist objects and attractions that offer beautiful beaches, underwater diving, waterfalls and natural cave holes are in this region. With the increasing activity of tourism and local community activities, it is certain that in the next few years almost all of the land will be used for various development activities, so the need for efficient utilization of coastal and marine resources, especially the utilization of fisheries and tourism potentials by developing the concept of minawisata in the area. The research purpose was formulating the development strategy of minatourism in Sawai Bay. The study was conducted for 3 months from September to November 2020. The data collection used primary and secondary data as well as purposive sampling. The data analysis method SWOT and AHP. The results showed that The priority strategies for developing minatourism in Sawai Bay, Central Maluku Regency; Development of quality human resources in the community; Increasing public awareness around the Sawai Bay area of ​​the importance of protecting fisheries and marine environmental resources; Developing local community expertise to support minatourism activities; Increasing tourism facilities and infrastructure; Increase the promotion of online/offline minawisata; Increase cooperation between managers and investors; and Improve MCS (monitoring, controling, survellance) (0.0058).

Abstract

Women activities as a fishery businessmen is a effort for to increased family income while husband income insufficient household needs. Empowerment efforts become one of alternative solution for reduce that problem, the study aims to formulated empowerment model of women from fishery businessmen in Tulehu village. The analysis method that used SWOT and AHP. Based on the results of research that showed the first priority to increased management ability of fishery business, the second priority is increased human resources quality and infrastructures , the third priority is optimization of utilization fishery resources potential and the last priority is expand cooperation networks in business development.

Abstract

Tuna fishing activities using troll line tool is an optional activity that has been occupied by the community in Peninsula Leihitu. The activities have been occupied since hereditary and their life depends on fishery resources. In reality, most of coastal communities are still living below the poverty line. The aim of this research is (1) to analyze the thecnical, economic, social and institutional condition of tuna fishing fisherman, (2) to analyze the income level and the feasibility of fishing business in Ureng, Assilulu and Larike (Dusun Lai) of Central Maluku Regency. The used research methods include statistical descriptive analysis, income analysis, investment criteria analysis. The study was conducted for 6 months from October 2017-March 2018. Data required in the study consists of primary data and secondary data. Sampling is done purposively of 55 fishermen (30%) from total population of tuna fishermen line which is still active doing fishing activity. Based on the results of research income analysis of this business make a profit. The result of analysis calculation of investment criteria obtained value NPV>1, Net B/C>1 and IRR> discount rate, indicating that tuna business in Ureng, Assilulu and larike (Dusun Lai) is a well run.

Abstract

:Maluku as an archipelago province with the highest potential for fishery in Indonesia, where people occupy more than 75 percent of coastal areas and small islands (DKP Maluku Province, 2017) which still live below the poverty line. The government has made various efforts to alleviate poverty of coastal communities by providing aid package through policy to provide capture fishery assistance package but the results obtained have not been maximized. In addition, there has not been an in-depth evaluation of the impact of providing aid package to fisherman in Ambon City.This study aims to analyze the characteristics of recipients of aid packages and analyze the impact of policies on fishery assistance packages. This study was conducted in May - June 2019. The data of this study are consisted of primary and secondary data. Sampling was done by total sampling, which amounted to 44 respondents and method used is Descriptive Statistic and Editing, Scoring, Tabulating, Processing and Cleaning. Based on the results of the study there were 12 characteristics of respondents which are divided into 4 social characteristics and 8 economics that receive of assistance package in Ambon City and then the mechanism of giving and managing fishery assistance package in the form of tonda fishing rod (1.5 GT) was not good.

Abstract

Sustainable of fishery need certainly fish resources of management is to exploited fish resources with considered fish resources of sustainabile. Challenges to kept fish resources of sustainable is quite complex problem that enough complete in fishery development. The aim of this research is evulated the recording system and fishery reported in business level of people’s fisheries. The study was conducted for 6 months from November 2018 -January 2019. Data required in the study consists of primary data and secondary data. Sampling is done purposively of 90 fisherman (30%) from total population of tuna fishermen line which is still active doing fishing activity. Research methods used statistic descriptive of analysis.

Abstract

The currently aquaculture have prospects that good is fish cultivation and influenced by thecnical factor and non-thecnical that determine as a requiement for cultivation business. The technical factor thar direct to influenced or failed towards cultivaation technical activity such as water quality. If there is a decrease in water quality can caused by inclusion of heavy metals to waters. The monitoring of water quality that carried out in UPTD BBIAT Waiheru only limited on physical parameters, while monitoring towards chemical parameters such as heavy metal content not done, so that not obtained an overall water quality information. For that researched needs to be done which aims to formulated direction of management water quality at UPTD BBIAT Waiheru. Ths researched by done on months October 2019 -Ferbuary 2020, at UPTD BBIAT Waiheru. Water sampling used purposive sampling and descriptive analysa. Based on the results of study incicated The parameters of Aquatic Physics at BBIAT Waiheru from January untill December are temperature average 27,200C , pH 8,54, total dissolved solids 187 mg/l, and DO 6,7 mg/l. Based on the quality standard, the temperature range at research points 1 to 7 is still within the tolerable range for the life of cultivated organisms, the pH of the water at the sampling points is still within natural limits and meets the quality standard, the TDS range at 7 sampling points is still in the range can be tolerated and the DO value obtained is still within the tolerance range and can be used to support the life of cultivated biota.

Abstract

Smoked fish products produced by fishing households in Jayapura City are widely known, becoming food products that are popular with city residents and souvenirs for tourists. The development of this superior commodity requires at least four requirements, namely that commodity procurement must be continuous in quantity, quality and at the right time, have good traceability, continuous development and mastery of technology, and adequate mastery of business management. It is within this framework that this community service activity is carried out. The aim of this Community Partnership Service activity is to empower the community to increase their knowledge and skills in using appropriate fish smoking equipment, making hygienic packaging, understanding production and marketing management and making simple cash books in running a smoked fish processing business in Hamadi Village, Jayapura City. This service uses participatory rural appraisal methods, fisheries education, and pretest posttest control group design. Based on the results of the implementation of activities with POKLAHSAR Mama Papua partners on 26-27 August and 22-23 September 2023, it is known that there is an understanding of cash bookkeeping, the use of appropriate smoking equipment, production management and marketing management, as well as making hygienic packaging for smoked tuna. , has increased. It is hoped that this can become a benchmark for the development of the smoked fish business among partners as targeted in the activity objectives.

Abstract

On voyage fishing vessel should be equipped with proper navigation equipment. Cadets who will be working onboard of a fishing vessel should understanding and aware of navigational equipment, safety equipment and healthy equipment. Because ,it could cause accident and awareness on navigational equipment. One of the ways for cadets to understand about navigation equipment are Maps, Campasses, Global Positioning System, Radia and Automatic Identification System. Each of these navigation equipment are hhaving their own function and operating system. So, it is a mandatory for every cadets to understand and aware in operating sthes navigation and know about safety equipment and healthy equipment on Enterprise fishing vessel .

Abstract

The conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in 2019-2021 affected the marketing system for Smoked Skipjack. Therefore, the research will be conducted to find out the marketing channels and marketing margins of Smoked Skipjack during the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal. The research lasted for 6 months at the Mama-mama Papua Market, Hamadi Market, and Cikombong Market. This research method is purposive sampling and be analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative. Based on the research results, it was found that the marketing channel started with fishermen in Dock 9, Jayapura City, who sold their catch to collectors, then collectors sold it to traders who processed fish into smoked fish and smoked fish traders sold it directly to consumers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the market that had the lowest marketing margin was the Cikombong Market and the highest margin was the Hamadi Market. During the new normal, the highest marketing margin occurred at the Hamadi Market and the lowest was the Cigombong Market, followed by the Mama-Mama Papua Market. During the Covid-19 pandemic and the new normal, efficient markets were the Papua Mama-mama Market, Hamadi Market and Cigombong market, because had <5% efficiency.Then during the new normal, marketing efficiency at Hamadi Market, Papua Mama-mama Market and Cigombong Market were efficient because it had <5% efficiency.
