Abstract

Belajar Vocabulary adalah langkah penting untuk menguasai bahasa asing dengan baik. Dengan memahami banyak kosa kata,kita tidak hanya memperkaya Keterampilan bahasa tetapi juga membuka lebih banyak peluang untuk berkomunikasi secara efektif dan memahami budaya lain. Dalam Proses Pembuatan MOL dan Kompos ada beberapa penggunaan bahasa asing yang merupakan hal baru bagi masyarakat sehingga perlu  adanya pegajaran tentang Kosa Kata untuk maemudahkan proses sosialisasi dan Pelatihan yang akan diadakan selanjutnya.Selama mengikuti Pengajaran masayrakat yang hadir terlihat antusias dan aktif bertanya sertaa langsung mempraktekkan Pelafalan kosa kata yang sudah diajarkan.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of blended learning in enhancing English communication skills among environmental health students, focusing on oral and written competencies essential in professional contexts. The research addresses a significant gap in language education for students in specialized fields, where limited engagement and practical application opportunities in traditional settings often hinder language proficiency development. A quasi-experimental design was employed with 60 students, divided into an experimental group receiving blended learning instruction and a control group following conventional face-to-face methods. Pre- and post-test results revealed that the experimental group demonstrated a 35% improvement in overall communication skills, compared to a 10% increase in the control group. Key gains in fluency, pronunciation, sentence structure, and vocabulary usage were observed. Data from student surveys and instructor observations also indicated higher levels of motivation, engagement, and confidence in the experimental group, attributed to the blended learning model’s flexibility, multimedia resources, and immediate feedback. This study highlights the significant advantages of blended learning for language acquisition in specialized academic fields and recommends its integration into language curricula. Tailored online resources and instructor training are proposed to maximize instructional impact. By addressing the language proficiency challenges in professional education, this research offers valuable insights into effective language learning strategies and supports adopting blended learning in diverse academic disciplines.

Abstract

Kebijakan pemerintah untuk memberikan kelonggaran aktifitas masyarakat harus dibarangi dengan diterapkan perilaku masyarakat yang mendukung, salah satunya dengan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan dalam setiap aktifitas. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya menerapkan protokol kesehatan menjadi salah satu masalah yang ada dilingkungan karang jangu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat di lingkungan Karang Jangu tentang pentingnya menerapkan protokol kesehatan di era New Normal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terlaksana melalui berbagai persiapan dengan melakukan sosialisasi langsung kepada masyarakat dan memberikan masker gratis. Dengan adanya kegiatan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, diharapkan masyarakatdi Lingkungan Karang Jangu mampu beradaptasi di era new normal dan dapat menerapkan protokol kesehatan guna mencegah penyebaran virus covid 19

Abstract

Masalah sampah tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan sehari-hari manusia, karena segala aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh manusia berpotensi menghasilkan sampah. Pemisahan sampah organik dan non organik sejak awal memudahkan proses pengangkutan sampah ke tempat pembuangan akhir. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan tambahan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pemilahan sampah yang benar. Selain sosialisasi pada pengabdian masyarakat ini juga dilakukan pengadaan tempat sampah organik dan non organik untuk memudahkan masyarakat dalam memilah sampah. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Suka Makmur, Kecamatan Gerung, Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sosialisasi dengan media power point. Pada saat sosialisasi, masyarakat terlihat sangat antusias mendengarkan materi yang disampaikan dan mengucapkan terima kasih atas pengadaan tempat sampah organik dan non organik sehingga masyarakat dapat dengan mudah menerapkan ilmu yang didapat. Akibat dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, masyarakat menjadi lebih peduli terhadap lingkungan dan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman terkait pemilahan sampah secara mandiri. Untuk tim pengabdian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat memberikan sosialisasi lebih lanjut mengenai pengolahan sampah organik dan non organik sehingga memiliki nilai ekonomis.

Abstract

Peningkatan timbunan sampah di Indonesia menjadi salah satu masalah yang kompleks. Intervensi untuk merubah pola perilaku pemilahan sampah terhadap siswa sekolah dasar bisa menumbuhkan kesadaran dan meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa tentang pengelolaan sampah. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan Siswa sekolah dasar tentang pemilahan sampah baik sampah organik maupun sampah an  organik. Pengabdian ini menggunakan power point dan video animasi  sebagai metode sosialisasi tentang pemilahan sampah. Saat sesi Tanya jawab berlangsung anak-anak terlihat antusias untuk bertanya tentang langkah-langakah pemilahan sampah baik sampah organik  maupun sampah an  organik.  Efek  dari pengabdian masyarakat ini meningkatkan pengetahuan anak-anak tentang pemilahan sampah Untuk tim pengabdian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat melakukan pelatihan pengolahan sampah non organic menjadi berbagai macam kerajinan tangan yang bermanfaat.

Abstract

Masyarakat yang ada di Dusun Makmur masih membuang air limbah yang berasal dari kegiatan sehari-hari langsung ke lingkungan (selokan) tanpa adanya proses penyaringan terlebih dahulu yang kemudian hal tersebut dapat menimbulkan beberapa masalah yaitu misalnya penyakit, lingkungan menjadi kotor dan bau. Adapun tujuan kegiatan ini sosialisasi teknologi tepat guna sistem pengolahan air limbah  skala rumah tangga  untuk memecahkan permasalahan dan memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan lingkungan yang ada di Dusun Egok, Ketejer dan Makmur. Kegiatan pelatihan pengelolaan sampah ini melibatkan Kepala Desa, warga Desa Suka Makmur, dosen STTL Mataram dan juga beberapa Mahasiswa STTL Mataram. Metode yang digunakan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan cara pembuatan alat filtrasi dalam Pengolahan Air Limbah Rumah Tangga. Cara penggunaannya yaitu dengan cara, memasangkan alat filtrasi ini ke saluran pipa whastafel, lalu air limbah akan mengalir dan terhubung ke alat filtrasi untuk langkah penyaringan, nantinya air limbah yang berwarna dan berbau atau yang mengandung zat kimia akan tersaring dengan bahan-bahan lokal yang sudah di susun dalam pipa filtrasi, sehingga air yang akan keluar ke saluran akhir akan dipastikan sudah berubah mulai dari fisik dan kandungan zatnya, terlihat jernih tanpa tecampur zat-zat lainnya, sehingga resiko pencemaran terhadap lingkungan dapat berkurang.

Abstract

This research is aimed at improving the students’ reading comprehension at grade seven of SMP Negri 4 Praya in the academic year of 2022/2023. The teaching reading skill of seven grade students of SMP Negri 4 Praya was through language games. To achieve the objective, collaborative work involving the researcher, the English teacher, the principal, and the students of grade seven was conducted. This study was action research study consisting of two cycles. The steps of the research were: planning, action observation, and reflection. The data were obtained by observing the teaching and learning process during the implementation of the actions, interviewing the English teacher and the students of seven grade students, and holding discussions with the English teacher. The instruments for gathering the data were a recorder, a camera, and interview guidelines. The data analyses were in the forms of field notes, recordings, interview transcripts, and photographs. The result showed that in Cycle 1 the implementation of language games was successful in improving the students’ reading comprehension and their interest in reading during the teaching and learning process. However, the language games which was implemented through group work was not successful because there were some students who were not actively engaged in the group work. Therefore, the researcher improved that action by applying pair work and giving reward. Meanwhile, it was shown in Cycle II that the implementations of language games were successful in improving the students’ reading comprehension and interest in reading during the teaching learning process. From the two cycles, the implementations of language games were effective to improve students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

Peternakan sebagai salah satu Usaha masyarakat yang menghasillkan limbah berupa Feses Ternak. Feses ternak yang tidak diolah dengan baik akan menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan hingga permasalahan kesehatan Pemanfaatan Feses ternak sebagai bahan baku pembuatan biogas dapat membantu mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh Tim Pengabdian STTL Mataram bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat tentang cara mengolah feses ternak menjadi Biogas agar dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan dan agar feses ternak  dapat bernilai ekonomi.

Abstract

While previous research has extensively explored English language teaching in formal educational settings and urban madrasahs, limited attention has been given to pesantren operating in tourism-influenced environments, particularly regarding how these faith-based institutions balance English language instruction with the preservation of Islamic identity and local cultural values. This research gap is significant given the increasing pressure on pesantren to prepare students for engagement with international tourism while maintaining their traditional religious mission. This study examined the integration of English language education within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) located in Mandalika, a rapidly growing tourism hub in Central Lombok, Indonesia. The research aims to explore pedagogical practices in integrating English learning and tourism context, student engagement and perception, and institutional challenges and opportunities in delivering English instruction contextualized within local tourism and Islamic values. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis at two boarding schools: Nurul Ijtihat Al-Ma'arif NU Lengser and Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah. The findings revealed that teachers employ four main strategies: contextual module development, role-play simulations, cross-disciplinary projects, and limited field studies to embed tourism-based content in English instruction. These methods not only enhance language acquisition but also foster students' cultural literacy and confidence. Students demonstrated good engagement and a positive perception of learning English in tourism-related contexts, viewing it as both a practical skill and a means for religious outreach (da’wah). However, the study also identified critical challenges, including the lack of specialized materials, limited professional development, and ideological tensions regarding cultural preservation. Besides that, the study also found several opportunities for contextually appropriate integration have emerged, namely strengthening pesantren's economic role, multilingual cultural da’wah, and institutional collaborations. The study contributes original insights into contextualized English teaching in faith-based institutions and proposes pathways for culturally sensitive curriculum development that bridge education, economy, and spirituality.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to investigate the correlation between second-grade students’ self-confidence, self-efficacy and their speaking ability at the MA Miftahul Ishlah. This study applied a quantitative method with a correlational research design. The questionnaire and documentation were applied as the instrument to collect the students’ data. There were two questionnaires that were used, that was students’ self-confidence and students’ self-efficacy questionnaire, while students’ speaking score was taken from English teachers’ document. Based on the questionnaire the highest result of the self-confidence questionnaire was 97 and the lowest was 71, while the highest result of the self-efficacy questionnaire was 94 and the lowest was 72, for speaking achievement the highest result was 95 and the lowest was 70. After analyzing the variable of this research X1 (self-confidence) X2 (self-efficacy) and Y (speaking) by Pearson Product Moment and multiple correlations in the SPSS program, it was found r = .693 for correlation between students’ self-confidence with speaking and self-confidence with self-efficacy, and r = .230 for students’ self-efficacy with speaking. While the multiple correlation score showed r = .701 with a coefficient determination of 46.1%. Based on that result, it was indicated that the correlation was strong, so the alternative hypothesis stating that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, it means there was a correlation between students’ self-confidence, self-efficacy and speaking ability.
