Abstract

The rapid advancements in technology have made it easy to access information, and various applications, including desktop, web, and mobile applications, have become an integral part of everyday life. Android-based smartphones are one of the most widely used devices, and applications are used not only for entertainment but also for business needs. Laundry service businesses are a common type of business, driven by the busy schedules of people, including workers and students. In the current pandemic situation, maintaining clothing hygiene is a priority. However, with the abundance of laundry services available, there is intense competition, and new consumers often struggle to find suitable laundry services. In this context, this research discusses an Android application called Easy Wash, which aims to help consumers find and book laundry services around them with the best quality. The application also allows consumers to track the process and estimate when their clothing will be ready. For laundry service owners, this is an opportunity to enhance their business. In this research, the Waterfall methodology is used in software development. The stages include analysis, design, coding, and testing. Use case diagrams are used to illustrate interactions between actors in the application. Class diagrams illustrate the database structure. Activity and sequence diagrams are used to depict the application flow. The application interface is also designed to meet consumer needs. The result of this research is the Easy Wash application, which can assist consumers in finding and booking laundry services easily and efficiently. The application has the potential to help laundry service owners increase their income, especially during the pandemic. The application is developed using Android Studio with the Java programming language. This abstract summarizes the entire research conducted in the development of the Android-based Easy Wash application

Abstract

In the current era of advances in information technology, optimal UI/UX planning is crucial for producing a well-structured information system. A focus on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) is important in ensuring the effectiveness and suitability of applications to user needs. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the Usability and accessibility aspects of UI/UX design designed with the Neumorphism design style, especially to meet the organizational needs of the Computer Faculty Student Association (HIMAKOM) at Universal University. The user-centered design (UCD) method is used in the application interface design process, with Usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) as an evaluation tool. The research results show that although UI/UX design obtained an average SUS score of 67.4, which indicates a slight level of acceptability, it is still included in the marginal high category. These results indicate that the design requires adjustments to improve the overall user experience. However, in terms of accessibility, the design shows feasibility with an average percentage value of 76, indicating adequate attention to user diversity. In conclusion, although the UI/UX design requires several improvements to increase its Usability level, the design has sufficiently paid attention to the accessibility aspect, so it can be considered feasible and able to meet the needs of the HIMAKOM organization. It is recommended to carry out continuous iteration based on user feedback to improve optimal user experience. Thus, this research can provide important guidance for the development of applications that can best meet user needs and preferences

Abstract

In this era of globalization, the delivery of information can be conveyed by any information media, this can also cause the spread of hoax information. This is very detrimental for recipients of information, especially information that is very important to receive and information related to the Covid or Corona virus that has hit the world and Indonesia. Based on data from the Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19, in the post-pandemic era 227 hoax information were still found that were identified. Therefore, in this study the authors conducted hoax information research, especially regarding the Covid-19 virus in the post-pandemic era by using the Text Mining method to find out information patterns that often appear in the post-Covid-19 pandemic. This paper will also show some results regarding the association of several words with the main word in hoax information in the post-Covid-19 pandemic era in the form of Term of Frequency, Word Cloud, Fruchterman Reingold Layout, and Circle Layout. The results of this study indicate that in the post-Covid-19 pandemic era, hoax information is frequently associated with ‘vaccines’ and ‘covid’, with 113 and 111 occurrences respectively. This is due to public skepticism regarding the safety and effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccine, leading to the dissemination of hoaxes aimed at discouraging vaccination. Other commonly mentioned words in post-pandemic hoax information include ‘omicron’, ‘vaccinated’, ‘variant’, ‘pfizer’, ‘mRNA’, ‘virus’, and ‘vaccination’, albeit with lower frequencies

Abstract

In the era of increasing digitalization, the need for an efficient and accurate attendance system has become very important, especially in academic and professional environments. This research aims to design and develop a prototype presence model using RFID RC522 technology, which can provide an effective solution to various problems that exist in conventional presence systems such as data inaccuracy, presence manipulation, and inconvenience of use. The method used in this research includes hardware and software design. The hardware consists of an RC522 RFID module connected to an Arduino microcontroller, while the software was developed using the C++ programming language to manage communication between the RFID and the microcontroller, as well as storing attendance data in a database. Testing was carried out on a sample group of users to evaluate the accuracy and speed of the system in recording attendance. The research results show that the RC522 RFID-based presence system can identify and record user presence with a high level of accuracy and fast response time. This system has also proven to be more secure and difficult to manipulate compared to traditional presence methods such as manual signatures or identity cards without RFID technology. Additionally, users report increased convenience in the attendance recording process as it does not require direct physical contact with the device.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has a tropical climate. This country is also famous for its wealth in various natural resources, one of which is water. Water is a source of human needs which is important for survival and is used for daily needs such as consumption, bathing, washing and others. As a society, of course you have to pay attention to the quality in the use of water, for this reason the government provides PDAM (Regional Drinking Water Company). In using PDAM facilities, especially in the South Sulawesi area, Mamuju Regency, it is necessary to monitor the amount of usage every month. The meter display is still analog and the amount of tariff or bill that must be paid by the public is not yet listed. The amount of bills that must be paid is the result of recording by PDAM officers who come every month. With this, tools are needed to monitor usage and the amount of bills that will be paid by the Internet of Things (IoT) based community. With this IoT-based control tool, people can see the amount of water used and the tariff they have to pay each month.

Abstract

Computer vision is a research in the development of technology to obtain information from images and replicate or imitate human visual processes, so that computers can know the objects around them. Deep learning is now the key word as a new era in machine learning that trains computers in finding patterns from large amounts of data. The Convolution Neural Networks (CNN) algorithm has proven impressive in terms of performance for detecting objects, image classification and semantic segmentation. Object detection is a technique used to identify the type of object in an image and also the exact location of the object in the image. Face detection is one of the most challenging problems of pattern recognition. Effective training needs to be done to be able to detect faces effectively. The accuracy in face detection using machine learning does not give good results. This research focuses on the level of accuracy of detecting faces using deep learning methods. This study compares the level of accuracy of deep learning and machine learning in detecting faces effective and efficient. This study uses the Convolution Neural Networks (CNN) model in the deep learning method to detect faces in real time on Android. According to the test results, the accuracy obtained in this study reached 97.97% in several normal facial conditions and face masks.

Abstract

In the agricultural sector, accurately determining fruit ripeness remains a crucial yet challenging task. Among intriguing Indonesian fruits, the Ambarella presents a particular difficulty. In Ambarella fruit, the peel changes from green to golden yellow as it ripens, serving as a visual indicator for optimal harvest time, thus determining the maturity is crucial for harvesting the Ambarella fruit. Traditionally, ripeness assessment relies on manual methods, which suffer from drawbacks like high labor costs, significant time investment, and inconsistency in results. This work explores the potential of employing YOLOv8, a cutting-edge deep learning model, to automate Ambarella fruit ripeness classification. This work focuses on the YOLOv8n, YOLOv8s, and YOLOv8m, lightweight models within the YOLOv8 family. Our results are promising: all three models achieved 100% accuracy on the training set, with YOLOv8s demonstrating the lowest loss at 0.00286. The web application was utilised to deploy the trained models, allowing users to upload images of Ambarella fruit and run the model for inference.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to design a system that can assist the final assignment development process by focusing on resolving frequently encountered obstacles, such as clarity of research title status, guidance process, and research schedule. The development method used is the Scrum method approach with a small scale and team. During the development process, an analysis of each sprint is carried out from preparation to the development process. The results of development using the Scrum method show that each feature was completed within 8 hours per day, with each sprint completed in a week. The total time required to complete all sprints designed on the BITA Information System is 128 hours. The application of the Scrum method provides results that enable rapid identification of changes during the development process, as well as optimizing the process of submitting and validating titles, determining supervisors, evaluating guidance, and scheduling exams. Thus, this research provides an effective solution in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the final assignment coaching process for students in completing their studies. Keywords: information system; optimal efficiency; scrum method; SI BITA; thesis guidance. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem yang dapat membantu proses pembinaan tugas akhir dengan fokus pada penyelesaian kendala yang sering dihadapi, seperti kejelasan status judul penelitian, proses bimbingan, dan jadwal penelitian. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan metode Scrum dengan skala dan tim kecil. Selama proses pengembangan, dilakukan analisis terhadap setiap sprint yang dihasilkan dari persiapan hingga proses pengembangan. Hasil pengembangan menggunakan metode Scrum menunjukkan bahwa setiap fitur diselesaikan dalam jangka waktu 8 jam per hari, dengan setiap sprint selesai dalam seminggu. Total waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk menyelesaikan semua sprint yang dirancang pada Sistem Informasi BITA adalah 128 jam. Penerapan metode Scrum memberikan hasil yang memungkinkan identifikasi cepat terhadap perubahan selama proses pengembangan, serta mengoptimalkan proses pengajuan dan validasi judul, penentuan pembimbing, evaluasi bimbingan, dan penjadwalan ujian. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyediakan solusi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas proses pembinaan tugas akhir bagi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan studi mereka. Kata kunci: sistem informasi; efisiensi optimal; metode scrum; SI BITA; bimbingan skripsi

Abstract

Fruits like bananas and mangoes are harvested after reaching a specific ripeness stage. Traditionally, farmers rely on manual inspection to determine ripeness, a process that can be tedious, time-consuming, expensive, and subjective. This work proposes an automatic bananas and mangoes ripeness detector utilizing computer vision technology. The detected bananas and mangoes fall into two classes: ripe and unripe. The state-of-the-art YOLOv8 architecture serves as the core of the detector. Three YOLOv8 variants, YOLOv8n, YOLOv8s, and YOLOv8m, were investigated for their performance. Results show that YOLOv8s achieved the highest overall performance, 0.9991 recall, and a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 0.8897. While YOLOv8m achieved the highest precision of 0.9995, YOLOv8n is the most miniature model, making it suitable for deployment on devices with limited resources.

Abstract

To operate in a business system, a company must have a good mastery of knowledge about its customers, products and services. Product information that is clearly stated is the main basis of the business system. Decision support systems that are enriched with clear product information can increase customer satisfaction with the company's products and services. Product information consists of paint color and paint type. This decision support system is designed to be a knowledge base of paint, paint color, paint type and search for the type of paint that customers are looking for. In this Final Project, the author will create a decision support system using the SAW method and an electronic catalog (E Catalog) using the Android Studio application and using the waterfall method. This decision support system can help customers to choose the type of paint based on product quality. This decision support system will be a system with various types of paint according to customer needs with a list of paint colors according to customer needs to increase customer satisfaction
