Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a web application that is able to facilitate teachers in providing exams with answer-type questions via voice using the speech recognition method and is able to display pictorial exam questions. The process of collecting research data was carried out through interviews and literature studies with case studies in the 4th semester English course in Informatics Engineering study program at Universal University. Web application development is carried out using the Extreme Programming method with testing through the Black Box Testing approach. In development, researchers used the Laravel framework with the PHP, Javascript, and MySQL programming languages as databases. The results of the Black Box test show that the web application is able to carry out the functionality according to the problems in this study. With this web application, it is hoped that teachers can easily provide exams with sound and image-based questions, provide a more interactive and effective learning experience for students, and enrich the use of technology in educational contexts. Keywords: laravel; javascript; MySQL; PHP; speech recognition  Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah aplikasi web yang mampu memfasilitasi pengajar dalam menyediakan ujian dengan pertanyaan bertipe jawab melalui suara menggunakan metode speech recognition serta mampu menampilkan pertanyaan ujian yang bergambar. Proses pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui metode wawancara dan studi pustaka dengan studi kasus di mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris 2 program studi Teknik Informatika semester 4 Universitas Universal. Pengembangan aplikasi web dilakukan menggunakan metode Extreme Programming dengan pengujian melalui pendekatan Black Box Testing. Dalam pengembangan, peneliti menggunakan framework Laravel dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP, Javascript, dan MySQL sebagai basis data. Hasil pengujian Black Box menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi web mampu menjalankan fungsionalitas sesuai dengan masalah yang ada dalam penelitian ini. Dengan adanya aplikasi web ini, diharapkan pengajar dapat dengan mudah menyediakan ujian dengan pertanyaan berbasis suara dan gambar, memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan efektif bagi mahasiswa, serta memperkaya penggunaan teknologi dalam konteks pendidikan. Kata kunci: laravel; javascript; MySQL; PHP; speech recognition

Abstract

Parking management in the city of Mamuju still uses conventional methods which cause many vehicles to park in random places, such as on the shoulder of the road, causing congestion. To overcome this problem, a system is needed to regulate it. This study aims to design a parking system prototype that can later be applied to office centers, shops, shopping and other public places. The results of testing the system prototype by testing registered and unregistered cards, there were no failures in the reading process. It's just that there is a delay of 5 to process data on the registered card. Overall, it can be concluded that the prototype system is functioning properly.

Abstract

Problems in the Indonesian education system have raised serious concerns over the low quality of education. One of the problems that causes low interest in learning is the lack of interest in the learning media used. Therefore, it is important for schools to create learning conditions that are comfortable, interesting, and provide opportunities for students to participate actively. One solution that can be used is the use of computer-based learning media, such as Augmented Reality (AR), which can increase students' interest in learning. In the context of learning Natural Sciences, understanding the anatomy of the human body is an important aspect. The purpose of this research is to develop an Augmented Reality (AR) application using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method as a learning medium or introduction to the human skeletal system. This application will be equipped with theoretical materials and 3D-based object views that include the names of related bones. With the development of this application, it is expected to create an interesting and interactive learning experience, increase the effectiveness of the learning process, and avoid boredom for students.

Abstract

Pengelolaan parkir di kota Mamuju masih menggunakan cara konfensional yang menimbulkan banyaknya kenderaan parkir disembarang tempat seperti dibahu jalan sehingga menimbulkan kemacetan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka diperlukan sistem untuk mengaturnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang protipe sisitem parkir yang nantinya dapat diterapkan pada pusat perkatoran, pertokoan, pebelanjaan dan tempat-tempat umum lainnya. Hasil pengujian prototipe sistem dengan mengujikan kartu terdaftar dan yang tidak terdaftar, tidak terdapat kegagalan proses pembacaan. Hanya saja terdapat delai selama 5 untuk memproses data pada kartu yang terdaftar. Secara keseluruhan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem pada prototipe berfungsi dengan baik.

Abstract

In the 21st century, the development of cyber technology has had a significant impact on human life. However, this progress has also brought negative implications, including cybercrimes such as data theft, the distribution of pornography, and online fraud. Cybercrimes have evolved into the form of cyberterrorism, where terrorists utilize the internet and information technology to carry out attacks. Cyberterrorism has become a serious threat in the digital era. Terrorists have modified their communication techniques by targeting and utilizing the internet. They also incorporate artificial intelligence technology into their cyberterrorism operations. Furthermore, terrorist groups often exploit social media platforms to propagate their ideologies and recruit new followers. The government of Indonesia has made various efforts to combat cyberterrorism, including the establishment of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and the implementation of regulations, such as amendments to the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law), to prevent cybercrimes and cyberterrorism. This research employs normative research methods to analyze the application of relevant laws and norms. The analysis results indicate that cyberterrorism is a significant threat. The government has taken essential steps to address it, but cyberterrorism continues to evolve and requires continuous monitoring and cooperation between the government, law enforcement agencies, and the private sector. In conclusion, cyberterrorism is a real threat in today's digital era. The findings of this research can provide guidance to the government in developing more effective policies and regulations to address cyberterrorism.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat dalam teknologi informasi telah membawa dampak positif bagi dunia kerja dan interaksi sosial. Namun, perubahan ini juga membawa dampak negatif pada perilaku pengguna internet. Banyak individu, terutama di media sosial, terlibat dalam komunikasi yang kurang bijaksana, yang seringkali berujung pada masalah hukum, seperti penggunaan bahasa kasar, pelecehan, penyebaran konten yang tidak bermoral, atau tindakan Cyberstalking. Sayangnya, kesadaran tentang konsekuensi hukum sering kali baru muncul ketika pihak berwenang terlibat. Implementasi Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (ITE) dalam berbagai kasus yang terkait dengan media sosial seringkali mengejutkan pelaku, terutama karena minimnya pemahaman mengenai konsekuensi hukum dari tindakan mereka dalam dunia maya. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, sangat penting untuk mendidik masyarakat, khususnya remaja, tentang potensi risiko penyalahgunaan media sosial. Dilingkungan sekolah juga menghadapi tantangan serupa, terutama karena remaja merupakan pengguna aktif media sosial. Memberikan nasihat yang konsisten mengenai penggunaan media sosial yang bertanggung jawab dapat memiliki dampak positif pada siswa, memastikan bahwa interaksi online mereka lebih aman dan lebih bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

Skimming crime is a serious threat to the banking sector around the world. These crimes include the theft of credit or debit card data through illegal devices installed in ATM machines or payment terminals. The impact is not only detrimental to customers, but also leads to significant financial losses for banks and related financial institutions. Customers suffer financial losses from the theft of their card data, while banks have to replace the stolen funds, face investigation costs, and maintain the affected reputation. Loss of customer confidence, loss of reputation, waste of time, and potential legal problems are also the impact of skimming crimes. The research aims to explore the role of technology and innovation in the prevention of skimming crime in banks. We identify the use of EMV chips, advanced monitoring devices, intelligent data analysis, and innovations in ATM engine design as preventive solutions. The research uses mixed methods that include literature studies, secondary data analysis, interviews, surveys, case studies, and field observations to understand the role of technology and innovation in skimming prevention practices. Research results show that technology and innovation play an important role in protecting customers and bank finances from the threat of skimming. The use of EMV chips increases the security of transactions, stronger authentication protects cardholders, and innovations in the design of ATM machines reduce the risk of device manipulation by skimming perpetrators. Strong legal action is also required against the perpetrators who succeed in arresting. This research underlines the importance of sustainable investment in technology and innovation as part of a strategy to prevent skimming crime. By adopting state-of-the-art and continuously innovative technology solutions in device design, the banking sector can reduce the risk of harmful skimming crimes and protect the security of customers as well as banking industry's reputation.

Abstract

The development of robotics technology in the current era has become a highly relevant need to assist humans in various everyday activities. One significant application of this technology is the creation of a prototype "Robot Vacuum Cleaner Based on Arduino Microcontroller with Autonomous Mode." This research aims to design and develop a robot vacuum cleaner capable of autonomously cleaning rooms. The design encompasses several key aspects. The physical design of the robot vacuum cleaner is an essential initial step. The shape, size, and layout of components within the robot are carefully designed to ensure easy maneuverability within the room, efficient cleaning of hard-to-reach corners, and the ability to avoid obstacles. The robot is equipped with several main components, including 3 ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection, 3 omni wheels for excellent mobility, 2 motor drivers to control wheel movement, and 1 Arduino microcontroller as the central brain coordinating all robot operations. One of the key features of this robot is its autonomous mode. This means the robot can operate independently without human intervention. Ultrasonic sensors are used to detect obstacles around the robot. When an obstacle is detected, the robot changes direction or avoids it, allowing it to continue cleaning the room. The robot is designed to provide users with an efficient and user-friendly experience. Users only need to activate the robot, and it will perform its tasks autonomously without human intervention. This research is expected to provide significant benefits by offering an efficient solution for everyday room cleaning. The well-designed physical appearance and autonomous mode integration of this robot vacuum cleaner make it easy to use and provide a more efficient cleaning experience. Overall, this research contributes to the broader development of robotics technology in the modern era.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the global economy. In today's digital era, Android technology has become a highly useful tool for promoting products and providing services to users. This research aims to develop an Android application called "VegeYuk" specifically designed to support MSMEs that primarily focus on vegetarian products. The VegeYuk application is built using Android Studio for software development and Figma for designing the user interface. The development approach used in this project is the Waterfall method, which involves structured stages from planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, to delivery. The primary objectives of the VegeYuk application are twofold. First, it aims to assist MSMEs that focus on vegetarian products in efficiently promoting their products through the popular Android platform. Second, it provides an easy ordering service for users who wish to purchase vegetarian products. The application enables sellers to market their products easily through clear product images, descriptions, and prices. On the other hand, users can quickly find the vegetarian products they are looking for and place orders effortlessly. In an era where awareness of the importance of healthy and sustainable eating habits is increasing, the VegeYuk application has the potential to become a valuable tool for vegetarian MSMEs and users who want to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. With this application, it is expected that vegetarian MSMEs can grow and gain greater exposure, while users can easily embrace a healthier lifestyle through vegetarian food choices.
