Abstract

Differentiated Instruction and Mindfulness Workshop to Improve Teacher Competence in the Guru Penggerak Program The transformation of 21st-century education requires adaptive, inclusive, and student-centered learning approaches. However, teachers still face challenges in implementing differentiated instruction, mindfulness, and social-emotional learning in an integrated manner. This study aims to improve teachers’ competencies through an integrated workshop within the Guru Penggerak Program. The method used was a participatory workshop approach involving orientation, core activities, reflection, and evaluation stages. The results showed indications of improved teacher competence, with 88% active participation during orientation, 85% engagement in group discussions, and 82% ability to design differentiated instruction. In addition, 90% of participants reported increased focus and emotional regulation through mindfulness practices, while 84% expressed readiness to implement the approach in their classrooms. The evaluation results indicated that 92% of participants perceived the workshop as highly beneficial. These findings demonstrate that integrating differentiated instruction, mindfulness, and social-emotional learning through workshop-based training supports the development of teachers’ pedagogical, intrapersonal, and social competencies. Therefore, this integrated model can serve as a strategic and sustainable approach for professional teacher development

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students' learning interest and mathematical representation ability through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the Maple application on quadratic function material. This research employed Classroom Action Research conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Mataram involving 32 students of class X-3. The research was carried out in one cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results showed that teacher activity during the learning process reached 100% and was categorized as very good, while student activity reached 93.75% and was also categorized as very good. Students' learning interest showed positive results, with 87.5% of students categorized as having very high interest and 12.5% categorized as having high interest. Students' mathematical representation ability also improved, as indicated by a classical learning mastery percentage of 87.5%, with 28 out of 32 students achieving mastery. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by the Maple application can improve students' learning interest and mathematical representation ability in quadratic function material.
