Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the effect of prior knowledge and learning motivation on the mathematics achievement of junior high school students. This research is a correlational study involving 30 respondents who were taken by cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of a prior knowledge test and a learning motivation questionnaire. The research data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that prior knowledge had a strong effect on mathematics achievement (correlation level 0.739) and learning motivation had a very strong effect on mathematics achievement (correlation level 0.806). The results of the multiple regression test show that the prior knowledge and learning motivation simultaneously strongly influence students' mathematics achievement (correlation level 0.837). The results of this study prove that prior knowledge and learning motivation are essential factors in supporting the success of the learning process. Keywords: prior knowledge, learning motivation, mathematics achievement.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1876-1886

Abstract

Mathematics education in the digital era needs to develop computational thinking as a problem-solving skill relevant to the challenges of the 21st century. This skill is closely related to logic and problem solving, which are the core of mathematics learning, such as in geometry. However, how computational thinking is implemented by students when they face geometry problems still needs to be explored further. This study aims to analyze and describe the computational thinking (CT) of junior high school students in Indonesia in solving geometry problems. The Participants were 25 students in grade VIII of an Indonesian junior high school. This study used a qualitative research design. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that 60% of students could use CT to solve geometry problems (achieving KKM), while 40% were still below KKM. CT components that students with scores above KKM can achieve include abstraction, decomposition, and algorithms. Meanwhile, students with low scores were identified as having not achieved any of the specified CT components. The computational thinking of junior high school students in geometry has developed quite well. Integrating CT into geometry learning can be a powerful tool for students to solve complex geometry problems.         Keywords: computational thinking, problem solving, geometry.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v25i1.pp300-312

Abstract

Chronic renal failure is a global health issue that also affects Indonesia. Chronic renal failure is a type of kidney failure in which there has been a steady loss of kidney function and no recovery. Hemodialysis treatment is necessary for a prolonged period of time in order to sustain chronic renal disease. Analytical observational research using a cross-sectional time approach is the methodology. Through the use of a complete sample technique, the study's population consisted of 55 hemodialysis patients. A formula called Kolmogorof-Smirnov is used in data analysis. The study's findings demonstrated that 32 participants (58.2%) in the old category had been receiving hemodialysis for a longer period of time, 12 participants (21.8%) in the moderate category had adhered to fluid intake limitations, and in the new category there were 11 individuals (20.0%). The Kolmogorof-Smirnov statistical test yielded a significant value of p < 0.05 and a value of p = 0.026. At Cimacan Regional General Hospital, patients with chronic renal failure who adhere to fluid consumption limitations have a correlation with the length of time they have been receiving hemodialysis. It is anticipated that individuals with chronic renal failure, whether recently diagnosed or long-term hemodialysis patients, would continue to enhance compliance with fluid intake guidelines in order to avoid problems.

Abstract

Male tilapia fish grow faster than female tilapia, so administering synthetic steroids orally or by soaking has proven to be the simplest, easiest, most effective and reliable technology for sex reversal of tilapia larvae to become males. This research was conducted to analyze the administration of 17α- methyltestosterone on the growth rate and feed conversion of tilapia (O.niloticus). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 4 replications. The optimum dose used is (60) mg/kg feed, and 0.5 ml/l. The results of this study showed that body weight gain with oral treatment had the best average, namely 226.83c ± 11.88; average length 12.79b ± 0.99, specific growth rate (SGR) 5.46c ± 0.06 and FCR namely 1.05a ± 0.06. Research on the effect of using 17α-methyltestosterone on the growth of oral male tilapia fish obtained the best results by not exceeding the residue limit (5 µg/L or 5 µg/kg) of synthetic steroids in the body of tilapia fish.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a strategy for developing coffee-based culinary products to enhance economic value and strengthen the identity of Sirna Jaya Tourism Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency. A qualitative case study approach was employed, supported by SWOT and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analyses. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and literature studies. The findings reveal that coffee-based culinary products hold strong development potential, with priority given to coffee-based food, ready-to-drink bottled coffee (RTD), and coffee ice cream. The dominant strategic factor was market potential (0.45), followed by tourism attractiveness (0.25), production cost (0.18), and technological feasibility (0.12). Recommended strategies include diversifying coffee-based culinary products, enhancing community capacity through training, and strengthening the village’s digital branding. The study highlights the importance of integrating culinary innovation, agrotourism, and the creative economy to foster sustainable, community-based tourism (CBT).
