Abstract

A bored pile foundation is a deep foundation that has a tube-like shape and is made from a reinforced concrete mixture with certain diameter dimensions. Bored piles can be installed into the ground by drilling the ground first, then filling with reinforcement and casting concrete. The function of the foundation is to place the building and transmit the distributed load, so the foundation structure of the bottom of the building is directly connected to the ground and functions to support all loads, both live loads and dead loads above it and external forces. This flyover is a substructure work, including bored pile foundations, abutments and pillars. One of the most important structural parts is the foundation on the bored pile. Keywords: Bored Pile Foundation for Fly Over construction

Abstract

Geopolymer mortar is an alternative way to reduce brick waste (BB) and fly ash (FA) which can pollute the environment. This geopolymer mortar is made from BB and FA because both of these have pozzolanic properties. In this research the bricks were ground and divided based on their respective variations consisting of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and with additional ingredients namely sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate, sand and water as activators. There is a difference between the results of the compressive strength of test objects based on days 7, 14, and 28. Some of the compressive strength using a mixture (bricks) were greater and some were smaller. The addition of brick ash can affect the compressive strength of the mortar by a certain percentage. The highest compressive strength at the age of mortar occurs when 15% brick ash is added. On the 7th day it is higher, namely 15% with an average value of 13 Mpa. At 14 days it is 13.5 Mpa. And on the 28th day with an average value of 15.6 Mpa. Meanwhile, the lowest compressive strength occurred with the addition of 5% brick ash. The lowest compressive strength value with a compressive strength of 10.6 Mpa occurred on the 7th day. On the 14th day, it was 11.4 Mpa, and 15.6 Mpa. at the age of 28 days. Keywords: Bricks,Activator,Fly Ash, Geopolymer

Abstract

Damage that often occurs on road construction pavement can be caused by an increase in traffic volume on road sections, along with increasing economic growth, with the damage that occurs disrupting people's activities as road users every day. The aim of this research is to find out what types of damage occurred, how much the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value is and how to overcome the road damage. The methods used in this research are the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method and the 1995 Directorate General of Highways Standard Repair Method. Jalan Jendral Sudirman OKU Selatan with a length of 2.0 km is divided into 2 segments. Each segment is evaluated by measuring dimensions, identifying the type and level of damage to obtain a PCI value. The research results showed that there were 7 types of damage that occurred on Jalan Jendral Sudirman OKU Selatan, namely, Crocodile Skin Cracks (8.75%), Longitudinal Cracks (6.25%), Transverse Cracks (3.75%), Holes (32, 50%), Grain Release (36.25%), Subsidence (2.50%), and Utility Excavation Filling (10.00%). The average PCI value is 63.25, which shows that the condition of the road pavement is good. As for how to overcome several patterns of damage that occur on Jalan Jendral Sudirman Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan, it can be repaired using the repair method from Binamarga (1995) such as P1 is spreading sand, P2 is asphalting, P3 is closing cracks, P4 is filling cracks, P5 is patching. hole, P6 is Alignment. Keywords: Road Sections, Damage, Pavement Condition Index Method.

Abstract

Roads are the basic and main infrastructure in driving the wheels of the national and regional economy, considering their important and strategic function to encourage the distribution of goods and services as well as population mobility. The availability of roads is an absolute prerequisite for the entry of investment into an area. Roads enable all communities to gain access to education, health and employment services. For this reason, it is necessary to plan a pavement structure that is strong, durable and has high resistance to plastic deformation that occurs. The most widely used road pavement in Indonesia is asphalt concrete or laston (AC/Asphalt Concrete). Laston has a high level of flexibility so that placement directly on layers such as wear (WC - Wearing Course) makes this layer vulnerable to damage due to high temperatures and heavy traffic loads. The types of damage that often occur in laston are grain release and cracking. In an effort to add substitutes for fine materials that can be used as ingredients in asphalt mixtures, coal ash, which is easily obtained, was used in research as an alternative fine material in asphalt mixtures. The oil asphalt used is Pertamina asphalt with a penetration of 60/70. This research was carried out with the aim of finding out the optimum mixture value of coal ash as a substitute for fine material for concrete layers or laston (AC – WC) and to find out how much influence the fineness of coal ash as a substitute for fine material has on AC – WC laston in terms of Durability and Flexibility. The percentage of coal ash content used in this study was 1%, 2%, 3% and 4% for Normal, zone 0, zone 1 and zone 2 as a substitute for fine material in the AC – WC asphalt mixture and normal test specimens without coal ash. This research uses the Marshall test method by reviewing the effect of coal ash on durability and flexibility values. Based on the results of testing marshall parameters in terms of zone variations and percentage of coal ash substitution content, it can be concluded that the flow value in standard marshall coal ash percentages of 1%, 2% and 3% meets the 2018 Bina Marga Specifications revision 2 between 2 - 4 mm. Meanwhile, the coal ash percentage of 4% does not meet the 2018 Bina Marga Specifications revision 2, between 2 - 4 mm. Because the greater the percentage of coal ash, the greater the flow value obtained. In terms of Marshall Stability, it can be concluded that the residual Marshall Stability value for a normal AC - WC asphalt mixture is 90.67%, this value meets the 2018 Bina Marga Specifications Revision 2 with Specification Standards >90%.Keywords:  Layered laston mixture (AC – WC), Durability, Flexibility, Coal Waste (Bottom Ash), Marshall

Abstract

Coconut fiber is a durable and long-lasting material. Coconut fiber is also strong enough to withstand friction and does not break easily. Apart from that, coconut fiber is also water resistant and does not easily rot or mold. Therefore, coconut fiber could be an option when determining as a filler material in asphalt mixtures because apart from having a relatively more economical and affordable price, coconut fiber is also abundantly available. This prompted the author to conduct research using coconut fiber waste as a filler in the asphalt concrete mixture. It is hoped that the addition of coconut fiber filler can help solve the problem of puddles of water that often occur on highways. It is hoped that the use of coconut fiber as a filler material in asphalt mixtures can also be an alternative filler material used in asphalt concrete mixtures. This research was carried out with the aim of finding out the value of the marshall variable as a filling material for AC-WC layered laston and to find out how much influence coconut fiber ash as a filling material has on AC-WC layered laston in terms of the value of the marshall variable. The percentage of coconut fiber ash content used in this research was 4%, 6%, 8% and 10%. The asphalt used in this research is Pen 60-70 asphalt originating from PT. ABS (Ashpalt Bangun Sarana). This research uses the Marshall test method by reviewing the effect of coconut fiber ash on the value of the Marshall variable. Keywords: Cocounut fiber ash, AC-WC, Marshall Variable, Filler
