Abstract

Penyiraman merupakan suatu hal yang tidak dapat dilepaskan didalam menjaga serta merawat tanaman agar tanaman tetap tumbuh dengan subur. kebutuhan air yang cukup sangat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman. Penyiraman merupakan suatu hal yang tidak dapat dilepaskan didalam membudidayakan tanaman agar tanaman tersebut dapat tumbuh dengan subur karena kebutuhan air yang cukup sangat diperlukan. Jika hal ini tidak diperhatikan maka akan berdampak fatal bagi pertumbuhan tanaman itu sendiri. Untuk mempermudah didalam pembudidayaan tanaman maka dibutuhkan suatu sistem kontrol yang terpadu untuk mengendalikan tingkat kelembaban tanah, maka diperlukan alat pengontrol yang dapat bekerja secara otomatis untuk melakukan penyiraman tanaman agar tingkat kelembaban tanah tanaman dapat terkontrol dengan mengaplikasikan soil moisture sensor. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian system Elektronik Penyiram Tanaman Otomatis Menggunakan Soil Moisture Sensor dapat dapat di Tarik kesimpulan, Setelah dilakukan pengujian sistem Elektronik, terlihat bahwa sistem elektronik dapat berfungsi karena komponen-komponen yang digunakan bekerja sesuai urutannya, didapatkan hasil ketika ujung lancip soil moisture sensor ditancapkan ke dalam wadah tanah kering dengan tingkat kelembaban tanah lebih besar dari 30 water pump akan menyiramkan air sampai pada batas kelembaban yang telah di seting, dan pada saat ujung lancip soil moisture sensor ditancapkan ke dalam wadah tanah basah dengan batas dengan tingkangkat kelembaban lebih kecil dari 30 water pump berhenti menyiramkan air, dan sistem elektronik telah sesuai dengan rancangan yang telah dibuat.

Abstract

One of the studies of Artificial Intelligence is fuzzy logic, various theories in the development of fuzzy logic show that basically fuzzy logic can be used to model various systems. Fuzzy logic is considered capable of mapping an input and output without ignoring the existing factors. Hang Nadim Airport Batam is an airport located on the island of Batam, Riau Islands Province. This airport connects Batam City with airports throughout Indonesia. Some of the airlines operating at Batam's Hang Nadim Airport include Garuda Indonesia Air, Citilink Air, Lion Air, Sriwijaya Air, and so on. All of them are managed by various airline companies which are operators under the control of the Task Implementation Unit (UPT) of Batam's Hang Nadim Airport. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion conducted on 50 respondents, with the Likert scale method the respondents stated that they were quite satisfied. This means that Hang Nadim Airport Batam is quite successful in providing the best or quite satisfactory service to passengers, both from the Reliability Dimension, Responsiveness Dimension, Assurance Dimension, Empathy Dimension and Tangible Dimension. (Tangible) overall airplane passengers feel quite satisfied, with an average percentage of 71% (35.5 out of 50 respondents). While the results are not much different, it can also be seen in the Fuzzy Logic test of the Mamdani method seen from the results of the output value for passenger satisfaction of 150 (with a range of 50-250) which means that the level of passenger satisfaction is quite satisfied with the services provided by Hang Nadim Airport, Batam City

Abstract

This research aims to develop a smart cane that can be used as a guide for the blind by utilizing Arduino technology and ultrasonic sensors. This smart cane is designed to help blind people detect and avoid obstacles around them, thereby increasing safety and independence when walking. The method used in this research involves designing and manufacturing hardware and software that are integrated into a smart stick. Ultrasonic sensors are used to detect the distance and presence of objects in front of the user, while the Arduino microcontroller processes the sensor data and provides feedback in the form of vibrations or warning sounds. Trials were carried out on several blind people to evaluate the effectiveness and practicality of this tool. The research results show that this Arduino-based smart stick with an ultrasonic sensor is able to detect objects with good accuracy and provide quite effective warnings to users. The feedback provided allows users to recognize and avoid obstacles more easily, thereby increasing confidence when moving in unfamiliar environments. Thus, it is hoped that this smart cane can be an innovative and practical solution to increase the mobility and independence of blind people. This research also opens up opportunities for further development in assistive technology for people with disabilities.

Abstract

Provinsi Kepulauan Riau memiliki potensi yang sangat besar dalam pengembangan budidaya, khususnya budidaya laut. Diketahui jumlah produksi perikanan di Kepulauan Riau mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya,. Besarnya potensi ikan yang dimiliki oleh Kepulauan Riau berbanding lurus dengan banyaknya jenis ikan yang ada dan dibudidayakan oleh nelayan ataupun pihak ketiga. Namun nelayan kesulitan menentukan jenis ikan berdasarkan lokasi habitat ikan sehingga terkendala dalam menentukan lokasi penangkapan ikan yang dituju. Selain itu proses penangkapan ikan juga dipengaruhi oleh musim dan waktu penangkapannya. Sehingga nelayan perlu mengetahui pengelompokan jenis ikan berdasarkan titik lokasinya agar dapat menyesuaikan dengan waktu dan juga alat tangkap yang digunakan. Clustering adalah suatu metode untuk mencari dan mengelompokkan data yang memiliki kemiripan karakteristik (similarity) antara satu data dengan yang lain. Salah satu teknik clustering sederhana adalah algoritma K-Means, menggunakan software RapidMiner. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan pengelompokkan jenis ikan berdasarkan titik lokasi yang outputnya sehingga dapat bermanfaat untuk nelayan di Kepulauan Riau.

Abstract

AbstrakTuntutan global menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk selalu dan senantiasa menyesuaikan perkembangan teknologi terhadap usaha dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan. SMA Kartini Batam adalah sekolah menengah atas swasta di Batam, Kepulauan Riau. Dengan visi dan misi yang jelas, SMA Kartini di Yayasan Keluarga Batam bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang dinamis, iklusif, dan mendukung pengembangan karakter positif. Pemrograman Dasar adalah salah satu mata pelajaran dasar dalam bidang Teknologi, Informasi, dan Komunikasi (TIK). Pada pembelajaran sekarang ini sangat penting memiliki pengetahuan TIK. Namun, SMA Kartini Batam belum terbiasa menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python untuk pemrograman. Oleh karena itu, dasar pemrograman penting dipelajari khususnya siswa/i jurusan teknik informatika dan komputer. Menerapkan dasar pemrograman di sekolah dapat membantu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam bidang teknologi seperti pembuatan aplikasi, game dan website. Dengan adanya pelatihan dasar pemrograman bagi siswa/i SMA Kartini Batam sebagai landasan yang penting untuk mempelajari bahasa pemrograman dan mengembangkan keterampilan pemrograman. Python merupakan bahasa pemrograman yang populer dan mudah dipelajari. Python banyak digunakan dalam pengembangan perangkat lunak, data science, dan machine learning. Menerapkan dasar pemrograman di sekolah juga dapat membantu meningkatkan minat siswa dalam bidang teknologi seperti pembuatan aplikasi, game dan website. Kata kunci: teknologi; dasar pemrograman; python; minat siswa; mutu pendidikan. AbstractGlobal demands require the world of education to always and continuously adapt to technological developments in efforts to improve the quality of education. Basic Programming is one of the basic subjects in the field of Technology, Information, and Communication (ICT). In today's learning, it is very important to have knowledge of ICT. However, SMA Kartini Batam is not yet accustomed to using the Python programming language for programming. Therefore, basic programming is important to learn, especially for students majoring in informatics and computer engineering. Implementing basic programming in schools can help increase student interest in technology fields such as application, game and website development. With basic programming training for SMA Kartini Batam students as an important foundation for learning programming languages and developing programming skills. Python is a popular and easy-to-learn programming language. Python is widely used in software development, data science, and machine learning. Abstract

Water pollution poses a significant threat to public health, particularly in rapidly developing urban areas such as Batam City, where domestic and industrial activities continue to increase. This study aims to analyse and monitor the quality of household tap water in Batam City over a 30-day period using an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart water quality monitoring system. The research focuses on two key parameters, namely Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and water temperature, which serve as primary indicators of water purity. Data were collected daily through a TDS sensor and a DS18B20 digital temperature sensor integrated into an IoT platform for continuous monitoring and real-time data acquisition. The results revealed that the water temperature ranged between 28–29 °C, indicating normal conditions for tropical regions and conforming to clean water standards. The TDS values varied from 310 to 355 ppm, remaining below the World Health Organization (WHO) safety limit of 500 ppm. Although slight fluctuations in TDS levels were observed during the observation period, no readings exceeded the acceptable threshold. These findings suggest that household tap water in Batam City is still safe for consumption and daily use. The study concludes that the application of IoT-based monitoring systems offers an effective approach for real-time water quality supervision and recommends regular monitoring along with the use of filtration devices to ensure long-term water safety and sustainability

Abstract

Background: Limited fish storage facilities are a major factor contributing to the decline in fish quality among fishermen in island areas, which ultimately reduces market value. This community service activity aimed to implement a solar-powered cooler box as an efficient and environmentally friendly storage solution for fishermen in remote coastal regions. Method: The method included a needs assessment, design and installation of a 40-liter cooling system with a 100 WP solar panel, and training on operation and maintenance for fishermen in the Belakang Padang Islands. Results: The results showed that the storage temperature could be maintained between 2–4°C for 8–10 hours daily without relying on conventional electricity. The use of this equipment reduced the spoilage rate of fish from an average of 28% to 10%, and increased selling prices by an average of 18%. Conclusion: This program demonstrates that renewable energy technologies can contribute to improving the quality of fish catches and the economic well-being of fishermen in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Background: Ikan merupakan sumber protein hewani yang melimpah dan mudah diperoleh, namun memiliki kelemahan mudah mengalami pembusukan karena kandungan airnya yang tinggi. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya penanganan dan pengawetan yang tepat agar ikan tetap aman dikonsumsi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat pesisir Tanjung Uma, Batam, mengenai metode pengawetan pangan laut baik secara tradisional maupun modern, serta cara mendeteksi bahan pengawet berbahaya seperti boraks dan formalin dengan memanfaatkan indikator alami kunyit. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui ceramah interaktif, diskusi, dan praktik langsung deteksi boraks dan formalin pada sampel ikan. Kegiatan diikuti oleh masyarakat pesisir yang mayoritas berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan pelaku usaha kecil pengolahan ikan. Hasil: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, meliputi pemahaman perbedaan metode pengawetan tradisional dan modern, pengetahuan mengenai bahaya boraks, serta keterampilan dalam melakukan uji sederhana untuk mendeteksi bahan pengawet berbahaya. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi disertai praktik lapangan terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengawetkan ikan secara aman tanpa penggunaan bahan kimia berbahaya.

Abstract

Wind is one of the potential renewable energy sources that is gaining increasing attention in efforts to diversify energy resources. This study aims to design and implement a wind speed recording system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to facilitate feasibility studies for wind energy utilization. The system uses an Anemometer sensor to measure wind speed, a NodeMCU ESP8266 as the microcontroller, and a 20x4 I2C LCD to display data in real-time. The generated data will be transmitted wirelessly via a Wi-Fi network to the Arduino IoT Cloud platform, where it can be accessed and analyzed remotely. The main challenge in designing the wind speed recording system is integrating various hardware and software components to ensure system interoperability and optimal performance. To address this issue, a modular approach was taken using standard interfaces and phased integration testing. Furthermore, the wind speed recording system was tested in two highland areas and two coastal areas, all of which are open areas, namely Bukit Tiban Ayu, Bukit Tangga Seribu, Pantai Cipta Land located in Sekupang District, and the second Barelang Bridge. The measurements yielded average wind speed recordings of approximately 0.60 m/s at Bukit Tiban Ayu and Pantai Cipta Land, around 0.88 m/s at Bukit Tangga Seribu, and 1.02 m/s at the second Barelang Bridge. The measurement results at these four locations did not meet the wind energy utilization standards. The data generated from this study can be used by (wind power plant) developers as an analysis in determining the feasibility of locations for development.

Abstract

Background: Buluh Island, one of the coastal areas in Batam City, faces serious challenges in the fisheries sector due to the use of traditional fishing methods, which result in high operational costs, the risk of catch theft, and low productivity. This Community Service Program (PKM) offers a solution by applying GPS- and IoT-based Smart Fishing Technology, integrated with solar panels for energy. This technology enables fishermen to monitor the condition of their nets in real time, detect fish using sonar, and minimize travel, thereby reducing fuel consumption. Method: The program takes a participatory approach, involving fishermen from the socialization stage, training, device installation, and evaluation. Results: The implementation shows decreased operational costs, increased net safety against theft, and higher catch yields, which impact fishermen's income. Additionally, the program has successfully produced financial management training, video documentation, scientific publications, intellectual property rights, and educational posters. Kesimpulan: Smart Bagan is expected to be replicated in other coastal areas to support the sustainable welfare of fishing communities, in line with the achievement of SDGs 1, 2, 8, and 14.
