Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the effectiveness of the use of jigsaw-flash learning model on geometry material. The jigsaw-flash learning model is a jigsaw learning model which is modified with adobe flash media. The research method used is mix method research with exploratory sequential strategy. This research was conducted in state junior high schools in Surakarta. Subjects in this study were the students of class VIII namely class VIII-2 as an experimental class and class VIII-3 as a control class selected by random sampling technique. The experimental class was taught with a jigsaw-flash learning model and the control class was taught with a jigsaw model. The procedures performed in this study include qualitative data collection and data analysis followed by quantitative data collection and data analysis. The researcher used interview method for collecting qualitative data. While quantitative data collection was conducted by test and the analysis technique used was t-test. The results of this study indicate that students feel more comfortable and interested in studying geometry material taught by jigsaw-flash model. In addition, students taught using the jigsaw-flash model are more active and motivated than the students who were taught using jigsaw models in studying geometric material. This shows that the use of the jigsaw-flash model can increase student participation and motivation. The results of this study also indicate that the increase in student achievement taught by the jigsaw-flash model which is indicated by t-test result t = 2,259 with df = 38. Based on the results, it can be concluded that jigsaw-flash model is more effective than jigsaw model. Therefore, teachers need to consider the use of jigsaw-flash learning model in learning geometry material.

Abstract

The root of the problem of this research is the lack of interest in student learning during the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to see the improvement of student learning outcomes during online learning by using learning videos on a two-variable linear equation system material. The type of research used in this research is classroom action research which was carried out at MTS Negeri 1 Simalungun. This research was conducted in two cycles with each action including planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. To see the learning outcomes used tests in cycles I and II. The results of the study show that learning video media on the material of a two-variable linear equation system in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era can improve learning outcomes and minimum learning mastery of students in class VIII-5 MTS Negeri 1 Simalungun for the 2020/2021 academic year". The completeness of student learning outcomes on the SPLDV material after being taught using learning video media when the initial condition (23.52%) increased to 52.94%. Furthermore, there was an increase in student learning outcomes by 23.53% with a mastery level of learning obtained around 76.47%. This result is in line with what is expected, namely 75% of students complete.

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik penalaran proporsional siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmadu Kabupaten Karanganyar. Prosedur pemilihan subjek dengan cara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara think aloud method. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara: (1) mengelompokkan data dalam 2 kategori, kemudian mereduksi data yang tidak termasuk dalam 2 kategori tersebut, (2) menyajikan data dalam teks naratif, dan (3) menyimpulkan karakteristik penalaran proporsional siswa kemudian membandingkan subjek yang berada pada level yang sama. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan pada enam subjek siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Tasikmadu, terdapat empat siswa yang sudah bisa bernalar kuantitatif yaitu mampu memanipulasi situasi perbandingan dengan menggunakan suatu bilangan dan dua siswa menggunakan perkalian silang tetapi tidak sepenuhnya memahami hubungan invarian dan kovarian. [English]: This descriptive qualitative research is aimed at describing the characteristics of students proportional reasoning. The subjects are the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmadu Karanganyar. The subjects are selected through purposive sampling methods. Data collection applies think aloud method. Time triangulation is used for data validation. Data is analyzed by: (1) classifying data in two categories then reducing them which do not belong to both categories, (2) presenting the data in narrative text, and (3) summarizing the characteristics of students proportional reasoning then comparing the subjects based on same level. The research shows that 4 of 6 students are able to reason quantitatively which mean that they can manipulate the proportional situation using number and the remaining students use cross product but they did not fully understand about the relation of invariant and covariant.

Abstract

Era revolusi industri 4.0 adalah suatu era dimana teknologi informasi telah menjadi basis dalam kehidupan manusia, karena dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan internet dan teknologi digital. Tantangan yang harus dihadapi dalam perubahan hidup di era disrupsi ini adalah peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang mampu  bersaing di era tersebut dengan bekal ketrampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan diawali dengan mensosialisasikan kebijakan pemerintah tentang Program AKSI for school kepada Guru agar mereka mampu memanfaatkan program AKSI untuk melakukan pembelajaran yang berorientasi Pada HOTS. Kegiatan terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: (1) pembekalan tentang kebijakan pendidikan, perencanaan dan penilaian pembelajaran matematika berorientasi HOTS, (2) pelatihan penggunaan program AKSI for School, (3) pelatihan identifikasi kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS pada program AKSI for School, dan (4) pelatihan pengembangan pembelajaran untuk mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa guru guru MGMP matematika mampu menggunakan program AKSI for school dengan baik, mampu meningkatan pemahaman Guru matematika tentang karakteristik level soal level Knowing, Applying dan Reasoning, serta meningkatan kemampuan Guru dalam merancang pembelajaran matematika di SMP yang berorientasi pada HOTS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran blended learning berbasis etnomatematika yang valid, praktis, efektif, dan ampuh untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Texmaco Pemalang dengan subjek penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X TKJ 3 sebanyak 37 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan seluruh siswa kelas X TB sebanyak 40 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian dan pengembangan  dengan tahap studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk, dan pengujian produk. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket validasi model pembelajaran, RPP, dan materi untuk mengukur kevalidan. Angket respon siswa, respon guru, dan keterlaksanaan model digunakan untuk mengukur kepraktisan. Instrumen pre-test dan post-test digunakan untuk mengukur keefektifan dan keampuhan. Model pembelajaran, RPP, dan materi sangat valid dengan skor rata-rata 3,36. Produk dinyatakan sangat praktis dengan rata-rata skor 85%. Produk dinyatakan efektif karena rerata post-test kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol dan produk ampuh karena model blended learning berbasis etnomatematika lebih baik daripada model konvensional. Dengan demikian, produk model pembelajaran blended learning berbasis etnomatematika bernilai valid, praktis, efektif, dan ampuh untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the abilities students must possess. Students critical thinking skills have not been encouraging. There is a need for learning that can improve this ability, one of which is advocacy learning. The study aims to increase students critical thinking skills with open-ended mathematical problems in advocacy mathematics learning. This study is a nonequivalent control group design with a pre-test post-test control group. Sampling using cluster random sampling, randomization was carried out in classes at Junior High School 4 Bandung by taking two classes. Data analysis used Mann-Whitney, one-way ANOVA, and Tukey. The results showed that students treated with an advocacy approach by giving open-ended questions had better mathematical critical thinking skills than those who received conventional learning. Also, students with high prior knowledge had better critical thinking skills compared to the other two groups. This research implies that the advocacy can be used as an alternative to learning mathematics for students with high prior knowledge.

Abstract

Satuan pendidikan melalui Kurikulum Merdeka berkewajiban untuk memfasilitasi siswa dalam memaksimalkan potensi dan kemampuan individu setiap siswa, salah satunya melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi merupakan pembelajaran yang didasarkan pada kebutuhan siswa, baik kesiapan belajar siswa, minat belajar, dan profil belajar siswa. Akan tetapi, terdapat hambatan yang dialami oleh guru, khususnya guru Matematika SMP di kota Surakarta, dalam memahami pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, baik secara konsep maupun pelaksanaannya. Guru masih mengalami hambatan dalam menyusun alur dan proses pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Untuk itu, dilakukan pelatihan implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang melibatkan guru Matematika SMP di kota Surakarta sebanyak 20 orang. Adapun tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan yaitu: (1) penyampaian materi mengenai kebijakan Kurikulum Merdeka dan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi; dan (2) perancangan pembelajaran matematika pembelajaran berdiferenisasi. Kegiatan pelatihan memberikan pemahaman kepada guru Matematika SMP kota Surakarta terkait pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, pada aspek konsep pembelajaran berdiferensiasi maupun merancang pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berdiferenisasi melalui menggunakan kerangka backward design.
