Abstract

Background: The role of leadership in improving patient safety can encourage and guarantee the implementation of an integrated patient safety program in the organization through the implementation of seven steps towards hospital patient safety. The presence of leadership can ensure the ongoing proactive program for identifying patient safety risks. The leadership role of a leader is needed in implementing a patient safety culture.Objective: The aim of this research is to identify the role of leadership in implementing a hospital patient safety cultureMethod: The method used in writing this article is a literature review. Article searches were carried out via Google Scholar, Science direct and Pubmed. Publication years from 2019 to 2023 were then examined according to the researchers' inclusion criteria. Results: Based on the results of the literature review analysis, the role of leadership abilities has an impact on the implementation of patient safety culture in hospitals. The expected leadership skills are that the leader has empowering behavior, the leader is participatory, visionary and communicates effectively, the leader is able to direct staff effectively (directing), the leader has career support, psychosocial support and role modeling, the leader has an open and fair culture and Responsible leader. Conclusion: The use of leadership skills cannot be the same for all leaders. Because leaders have skills, leadership styles match their abilities. But leaders must know which leadership skills need to be used in dealing with conditions in the organization, especially in hospitals. Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases (PTM) which isthe main cause of death in society which is a global problem. Hypertension can occuranytime and anywhere without complaints, so this disease is called a silent killer orsilently deadly. One can start to controlling their hypertension by increasing theirknowledge and self-awareness as well as adopting a healthy lifestyle. One way islimiting the consumption of salt according to WHO recommendations, which is 2,400mg/day or the equivalent of one teaspoon. Public Health students from the Facultyof Health and Natural Sciences (FIKKIA) of Universitas Airlangga created DURASIproducts as an alternative to salt to control hypertension. DURASI stands for fish andcelery broth to prevent hypertension. Fish is rich in omega 3 which can lower bloodpressure and celery has hexane extract which plays a role in lowering blood pressureas well as methanol and ethanol extract which can increase blood pressure circulation.At the Kertosari Health Center in 2021 hypertension ranks 1st out of the top 10diseases in the working area of the Kertosari Health Center, including Kerosari Villageand Karangrejo Village. In suppressing hypertension cases in the Karangrejo Village,community service activities were carried out by introducing DURASI products as analternative to salt to the Integrated Development Post (Posbindu) cadres as pioneersof healthy living to prevent hypertension. The DURASI product introduction method iscarried out for Posbindu cadres by means of an approach including counseling, trainingand mentoring. Laboratory test results obtained sodium content of 550 mg/100 gramDURASI. The result of increasing public knowledge in the first measurement wasan average increase of 50% and in the second measurement there was an averageincrease of 7%. The factor that affected the small number of increasing publicunderstanding was the awareness of using DURASI products at home.

Abstract

The quality of health care is one of the important factors that must be considered in an effort to achieve patient satisfaction. The quality of health care can be measured through aspects of responsiveness, reliability, empathy, assurance, and physical evidence. Feelings of satisfaction in patients will affect how the loyalty of patients to health care facilities. Patient loyalty is a long-term impact of patient satisfaction that has used health services. This study aims to analyze the quality of service quality to the satisfaction of Level I health facilities in public health students FIKKIA UNAIR. Subjects in this study were public health students of FIKKIA UNAIR who had JKN and had access to FKTP services in Banyuwangi as many as 97. The research design used is crossectional research through the filling of questionnaires or questionnaires. In data analysis techniques, using GAP analysis, normality test, and wilcoxon test. This study shows that the average value of the largest GAP in the aspect of assurance (assurance) of 4.53. The average value of the lowest GAP in the aspect of physical evidence (tangiable) is 0.32. Analysis of data conducted through the Wilcoxon test showed the value of Asymmp. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 then Ho is rejected so that the quality of service quality affects the satisfaction of Public Health students FIKKIA UNAIR. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that there is a significant gap between expectations and reality in the service of Health Facilities level I (FKTP) in Banyuwangi.

Abstract

Rumah sakit sebagai institusi kesehatan kompleks memiliki tantangan unik dalam mengelola kinerja pegawai untuk memberikan pelayanan berkualitas kepada pasien. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai, seperti ketersediaan dan motivasi kerja, menjadi perhatian penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan efektivitas rumah sakit. Tujuan: Mengkonsumsi peran dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai rumah sakit. Metode: tinjauan pustaka dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan data base google Scholar. Rentang tahun artikel yaitu 2018-2023 yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditentukan penulis. Hasil: Kompensasi dan motivasi kerja berperan penting dalam kinerja pegawai rumah sakit. Hubungan positif dan signifikan terbukti antara keduanya, meskipun dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor mediasi seperti kepuasan kerja. Namun, ketidaksejajaran dan ketidakadilan yang didapat bisa mengakibatkan hubungan negatif terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kesimpulan: Pada keseluruhan penelitian literatur ini, temuan menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi dan motivasi kerja mempunyai peran yang penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai rumah sakit. Oleh karena itu, perlu memperhatikan faktor-faktor kontekstual yang dapat mempengaruhi hubungan antara perolehan dan kinerja motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai rumah sakit dalam merancang program yang dapat diterima dan strategi motivasi kerja yang efektif.

Abstract

Globally, over 250 million workplace accidents and 160 million work-related illnesses occur annually, with 1.2 million resulting in deaths. In Indonesia, CVD is the leading cause of illness-related fatalities, driven by factors like hypertension, obesity, and dyslipidemia. PT XYZs parent company reported 19 such deaths in 2021, mostly from CVD. In response, Zone Xs Health Team launched the SEAGU Wellness Program to promote healthy lifestyles. This study aims to conduct research using secondary data obtained from the SEAGU 2.0 Wellness Program. This study used a descriptive quantitative method with secondary data from 153 workers annual Medical Check-Up records. Post-program results showed a reduction in dyslipidemia cases from 45 to 23 and obesity cases from 52 to 27a drop of over 50%. To improve sustainability, activities like group exercise and Health Talks should be held more frequently with stronger participant engagement.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang : Kabupaten Banyuwangi merupakan kabupaten dengan jumlah kasus pernikahan dini tertinggi di Jawa Timur tahun 2019 sebanyak 352. Pernikahan dini memberikan dampak yang serius terhadap kesehatan reproduksi dan mental perempuan. Remaja perempuan yang menikah usia muda berpotensi mengalamai kehamilan berisiko tinggi dan bahkan kematian. Pernikahan dini juga membatasi perkembangan kedewasaan fisik, emosional, dan pribadi yang diperlukan untuk keberhasilan dan keamanan transisi menuju dewasa. Secara umum, pernikahan dini memiliki dampak yang besar bagi kesehatan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, remaja penting dibekali pengetahuan dan kemampuan untuk menangkal pengaruh negatif, informasi kesehatan yang tidak benar (hoax) dan mencegah terjadinya perilaku yang berisiko terhadap kesehatan.Tujuan : Pengabdian kepada masyarakat Siap Jadi Pemimpin bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang leadership dan decision making dalam kesehatan remaja pada generasi Z di Banyuwangi.Metode : Metode kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat Siap Jadi Pemimpin adalah edukasi secara daring. Edukasi secara daring menggunakan aplikasi zoom meeting. Media edukasi yang digunakan adalah video dan poster. Edukasi dilaksanakan sebanyak 3 sesi. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas VII sampai XI di Kecamatan Licin dan Kecamatan Banyuwangi Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2020. Evaluasi pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi kehadiran peserta, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil : Jumlah peserta yang hadir adalah 120 orang (27,21%). Evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Peningkatan pengetahuan peserta kegiatan sebesar 3,63%. Jumlah peserta yang pengetahuannya meningkat sebesar 36,36% dengan peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 15,63%.Kesimpulan : Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta kegiatan tentang leadership dan decision making dalam kesehatan remaja pada generasi Z di Kabupaten Banyuwangi.  Kata Kunci : Edukasi, Generasi Z, leadership, decision makingABSTRACTBackground : Banyuwangi was the district with the highest early marriage number of cases in East Java in 2019, with amount were 352 cases. Early marriage has a serious impact on women's reproductive and mental health. The adolescent girls who married at a young age have the potential to experience high-risk pregnancies and even death. Early marriage also limited the development of physical, emotional, and personal maturity necessary for a successful and secure transition to adulthood. In generally, early marriage has a big impact on public health. Therefore, it was important for adolescents to be equipped with the knowledge and abilities toward off negative influences, false health information (hoaxes) and prevented behaviors that posed a risk to health.Objective : The purpose of Ready to be a Leader Community Services was to increasing the knowledge about leadership and decision making adolescent health in Banyuwangi District.Methods : Leadership and decision  making in adolescent health education for generation Z used the zoom meeting application. The media education  were video and poster. The method of Ready to be a Leader Community Services was online education. The education was carried out in 3 sessions. The target of this activity were students in grades VII to XI in Licin Sub-district and Banyuwangi Sub-district, Banyuwangi District. This activity was held in October 2020. Evaluation of community service included participant attendance, activity implementation, and participant knowledge.Results : The number of participants who attended were 120 people (27.21%). The result evaluation of the implementation of the activities was very good category. The increased knowledge of participants was 3.63%. Tthe number of participants whose knowledge increased was 36.36% with an increased knowledge was 15.63%.Conclusions : This community services activity increased the knowledge of participants about leadership and decision making of  generation Z adolescents health in Banyuwangi District. Keywords : Education,  Z Generation, leadership, decision making

Abstract

Background: The mining sector plays a crucial role as a significant contributor to the energy supply, which is vital for economic growth. However, mining activities pose various potential hazards. Unfortunately, compliance with the usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in this industry remains relatively low. Objectives: The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between workers' compliance in using PPE and the potential impact of cyanide exposure in the Heap Leach Operation (HLO) irrigation area of PT. Bumi Suksesindo. Methods: This study employed a quantitative research approach using an observational analytical method and a cross-sectional design. The research population consisted of 33 workers in the irrigation section of the HLO area. Data collection is conducted through questionnaire surveys, and the obtained data are analyzed using the contingency coefficient (c) to determine the strength of the relationship between variables. Results: The majority of workers (60.6%) were not exposed to the impact of cyanide exposure. There is a very weak correlation between compliance in using PPE and the potential impact of cyanide exposure (c = 0.141) Conclusions: A very weak correlation exists between workers' compliance in using PPE and the potential impact of cyanide exposure in the HLO irrigation area of PT Bumi Suksesindo.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak akibat kekurangan gizi kronis dan infeksi berulang. Desa Banjar merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Licin, Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Angka stunting di Kabupaten Banyuwangi masih tergolong cukup tinggi. Prevalensi stunting pada tahun 2022 mencapai 3,57%. Sedangkan target angka stunting yang ingin dicapai oleh Bupati Banyuwangi yaitu 0% pada tahun 2024. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat melalui program LONCENG dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas ibu-ibu yang memiliki balita di Desa Banjar dalam mengolah dan menyusun makanan yang sesuai dengan gizi seimbang yang diperlukan oleh anak. Sasaran program ini yaitu perwakilan ibu-ibu yang memiliki balita stunting setiap dusun di Desa Banjar sebanyak 10 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program LONCENG adalah perlombaan. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah seluruh peserta lomba telah menerapkan konsep Isi Piringku dan menu makanan gizi seimbang. Peserta telah mampu mengkreasikan bekal makanan dengan baik. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan dalam mengolah makanan seperti penggunaan penyedap (MSG) secara berlebihan, menggunakan daging olahan seperti sosis, nugget, dan sebagainya. Penyelenggaran program LONCENG diharapkan masyarakat lebih memperhatikan pola makan anak serta diharapkan dapat menurunkan angka kasus stunting di Desa Banjar, Kecamatan Licin.
