Abstract

This community engagement project investigated the valorization of coconut shell waste in Glagah Village, Indonesia, through the development of "GLACAROL," a line of value-added charcoal-based products: briquettes, drawing pencils, and art powders. Employing a participatory design, the initiative included community surveys, production training, and product branding. Results indicated significant reductions in waste volume, lessened environmental impacts (soil and water), and heightened community environmental awareness. The “GLACAROL” brand demonstrated potential for income enhancement via new employment and product sales, although scalability and process optimization challenges persist. The project presents a promising model for community-based waste management and sustainable development and emphasizes the potential of turning local waste into marketable goods. Long-term monitoring and continued support are essential for replication and durability of the outcomes.

Abstract

local products face significant challenges due to the dominance of international brands that appeal strongly to consumers. However, the growing awareness among Indonesian consumers about the importance of supporting domestic products presents strategic opportunities for local brands such as Ventela. This study aims to examine the influence of consumer ethnocentrism and consumer preferences on purchase intention and purchase decision regarding Ventela brand footwear in Pasuruan Regency. A quantitative explanatory research method was applied, involving 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Respondents were required to have experience purchasing or knowledge of Ventela shoes. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measured with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using path analysis in SPSS. The results indicate that both ethnocentrism and consumer preferences have a direct, positive, and significant effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, purchase intention significantly affects purchase decision and acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between ethnocentrism, consumer preferences, and purchase decision. These findings underline the importance of nationalistic sentiment and positive perceptions of product attributes in fostering loyalty toward local brands. The study recommends that local footwear producers reinforce brand communication that highlights local values and simultaneously enhance product quality to match consumer preferences. This research contributes practical insights into developing marketing strategies for local creative industries, especially in competitive consumer markets, by emphasizing values-based and consumer-centered approaches.

Abstract

Traditional livestock management often suffers from inefficient tracking, limited real-time data, and minimal automation, leading to reduced productivity and sustainability issues. This paper introduces Smart Farm Tagging with Basic, Pro, and Advanced versions, a smart livestock monitoring system that integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Near Field Communication (NFC), barcode technologies, and Global Positioning System (GPS). The system enables real-time tracking and monitoring of key parameters such as species type, gender, health status, body weight, and production output. Initial field data include cattle profiles labeled by health status (“Healthy”), gender (“Female” or “Male”), and weight, with birth date validation ongoing. Furthermore, the AI-powered dashboard integrates operational logs with external weather inputs such as temperature, humidity, and light rain conditions recorded in Sayan, Bali, to predict livestock health trends and recommend timely interventions. Statistical models analyze historical and real-time data to detect diseases, optimize breeding schedules, and enhance resource allocation. By integrating AI, IoT, NFC, and barcode technologies, Smart Farm Tagging presents a scalable, cost-effective, and efficient solution for modern smart farming systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors hindering law enforcement in Indonesia through the perspective of Lawrence Friedman's legal system theory, which consists of legal structure, legal substance, and legal culture. The research employs a normative legal method with statutory and conceptual approaches. Data were analyzed from primary and secondary legal materials and correlated with relevant empirical practices. The findings reveal that the main obstacles to law enforcement lie in the lack of integrity and professionalism among law enforcement officials, inconsistencies in legal substance, and the generally low level of legal culture in society. Low legal awareness and a preference for informal dispute resolution further weaken the formal legal system. This study recommends structural reforms of law enforcement institutions and the enhancement of legal culture through legal education and consistent, fair law enforcement. Keywords: Legal Structure; Legal Substance; Legal Reform; Public Legal Awareness.

Abstract

Ornamental plants encompass a wide array of plant species cultivated for their aesthetic beauty, resulting in diverse variations. Anthurium, known for its varied leaf patterns, presents an advantage in facilitating the creation of new hybrids. This study aims to identify and examine the characteristics of Anthurium ornamental plant consumers and analyze their satisfaction levels in Dusun Nglurah, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. Employing a qualitative research method, this study utilized accidental sampling for data collection, incorporating both primary and secondary data sources through questionnaires and interviews. Findings reveal that the highest percentage of consumer satisfaction with Anthurium ornamental plants falls within the 20-30 age group (31%), predominantly comprising high school graduates (69%) employed as shop assistants, private sector employees, civil servants, farmers, or banking professionals (40%). Furthermore, 73% of consumers visit ornamental plant centers, with 67% citing plant variety as their primary purchase motivation. The majority of consumers (72%) purchase fewer than three plants, preferring a maximum price range of 0-5 million Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) (85%). Anthurium is the preferred plant species among consumers (53%), typically displayed in pots (WS = 0.84). Attributes such as rarity, uniqueness, variety, and price of the plants also scored a WS value of 0.84. Overall consumer satisfaction with Anthurium ornamental plants at the Ornamental Plant Center falls within the "satisfied" category, with a CSI value of 83.80%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to test and compare the performance of the ELECTRE method with MOORA in decision making. By using the attribute weighting process, namely the calculation of Information Gain in both methods, the attribute weights are obtained systematically and objectively, therefore they are no longer determined by the assumptions of decision makers. The test data instrument used is a dataset from the UCI Machine Learning Repository, namely the Fertility Dataset which is data on the level of sperm fertility concentration with 100 data records, 9 attributes, 1 class variable and the data set is multivariate. The results of testing the ELECTRE and MOORA methods in this study indicate that the two methods have differences in the results of ranking the best alternative for sperm fertility concentration levels. The ELECTRE method produces A2 as the best alternative, while the MOORA method produces A16 as the best alternative. Then in terms of program execution time, the MOORA method is faster, namely 0.02 seconds, while the ELECTRE method execution time is 1.88 seconds.

Abstract

This program aims to reduce the waste population in the Krakal Beach area. Because there are many piles of garbage and the beach ecosystem has begun to be disturbed which has resulted in polluted sea water, beach sand becomes dirty, and piles of garbage emit odors so that the air is also polluted. The sample from this activity program consisted of photos/images taken directly from Krakal Beach, surveys and interviews from the local community and the local Pokdarwis chairperson. The data obtained was processed using a quantitative survey method to calculate and calculate the volume of waste so that it can estimate the required size of Temporary Disposal Sites to be built to accommodate this waste. It is hoped that this program can have a positive impact on the Krakal Beach ecosystem and provide comfort for visitors for the cleanliness created.
