Abstract

Kader kesehatan memiliki peran penting dalam upaya deteksi dini dan pencegahan penyakit di masyarakat. Pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader menjadi faktor utama yang menentukan efektivitas pelaksanaan tugas mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan kesehatan masyarakat. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive terhadap kader aktif di wilayah kerja tertentu. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner pengetahuan dan lembar observasi keterampilan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar kader berada pada kategori usia dewasa (19–59 tahun) sebesar 87,8%. Ditemukan adanya hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader (p = 0,01) dengan tingkat keeratan hubungan sangat lemah (r = 0,275). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pengetahuan dapat berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan keterampilan kader, meskipun dengan pengaruh yang terbatas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan merupakan salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan kader, namun perlu didukung dengan pelatihan berkelanjutan, motivasi, dan dukungan tenaga kesehatan agar kompetensi kader dapat berkembang secara optimal. Health cadres play an essential role in early disease detection and prevention within the community. Knowledge and skills are key factors determining the effectiveness of cadre performance in implementing health programs. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge and skills among health cadres in community health activities. A descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. Samples were selected purposively from active cadres within a designated working area. Data were collected using a knowledge questionnaire and a skill observation sheet, then analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that most cadres were in the adult age category (19–59 years), accounting for 87.8% of participants. There was a significant relationship between knowledge and skills (p = 0.01) with a very weak correlation (r = 0.275). These findings indicate that increased knowledge contributes to improved cadre skills, although the influence is limited. It can be concluded that knowledge is one of the contributing factors in enhancing cadre skills; however, continuous training, motivation, and support from health professionals are necessary to optimize cadre competence in community health practice.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TBC) masih menjadi tantangan utama kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia, terutama di wilayah perdesaan dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi rendah. Desa Kebocoran, Kabupaten Banyumas, merupakan salah satu daerah dengan prevalensi TBC cukup tinggi dan keterbatasan pemahaman kader posyandu mengenai pencegahan serta penatalaksanaan TBC. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader TBC melalui edukasi kesehatan dan pelatihan pembuatan menu bergizi berbasis buah melon sebagai potensi pangan lokal. Metode kegiatan meliputi observasi, wawancara dengan pemangku kepentingan, penyuluhan interaktif menggunakan media lembar balik, serta pelatihan praktik pembuatan menu melon. Sebanyak 31 kader TBC mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan kader, dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 88,25 meningkat menjadi 92,16 pada post-test. Kader juga mampu membuat dua menu berbasis melon (smoothies dan pudding) yang dikembangkan untuk mendukung pemulihan pasien TBC. Program ini mendapat tanggapan positif dari peserta dan pemangku wilayah, meskipun masih diperlukan kolaborasi lanjutan dengan petani lokal untuk penyediaan bahan baku melon secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan literasi kesehatan dan keterampilan kader TBC dalam pencegahan serta penatalaksanaan TBC melalui pendekatan edukatif dan inovasi gizi berbasis potensi lokal. Pemberdayaan kader dengan pemanfaatan pangan lokal dapat menjadi model pengembangan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan di wilayah perdesaan.

Abstract

Pain is one of the most common complaints experienced by people across various age groups. Unfortunately, pain management is still largely dominated by the use of medications, while safer and simpler non-pharmacological approaches that can be implemented at the family level remain poorly known and underutilized. Posyandu cadres, as the frontline of primary healthcare services, have great potential to educate communities; however, their knowledge of non-pharmacological pain management techniques is still limited. Therefore, this training program is essential to strengthen the cadres’ capacity in helping communities manage pain independently and holistically. This community service activity aims to improve the cadres’ attitudes and self-efficacy toward non-pharmacological pain management. The activities included education on non-pharmacological pain management and hands-on practice. In addition, pre- and post-tests were conducted to measure attitudes and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Hospitals, as healthcare service institutions, are responsible for providing quality services through the performance of their employees, particularly nurses. Good nursing performance significantly affects service quality and patient satisfaction. One of the factors influencing nurse performance is work culture, which encompasses the methods, attitudes, and behaviors that form the foundation of work and serve as motivation to achieve optimal performance. A preliminary survey at Harapan Ibu General Hospital in Purbalingga revealed that 40.2% of nurses were frequently late, and 23.9% received poor performance evaluations. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between work culture and nurse performance. A descriptive quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was used. A total of 150 nurses were selected through total sampling. Data collection was conducted via questionnaires, and analysis was performed using Spearman’s Rank test with SPSS version 25. The findings revealed that 98% of the nurses had a strong work culture, while 79.3% demonstrated good performance. Statistical analysis produced a p-value of 0,000 (Sig < 0,05) and a correlation coefficient of 0,734, indicating a strong positive relationship. In conclusion, work culture is significantly associated with nurse performance. with a strong correlation. It is recommended that the hospital incorporate Islamic values into its organizational culture, enhance nurse training programs, establish a Bachelor's in Nursing (Ners) degree as a recruitment standard, and implement policies to restrict cellphone usage during working hours.

Abstract

Osteoporosis is a degenerative disease that is a serious problem, especially in women aged 30 years and above. Risk factors include low calcium intake, lack of physical activity, and a sedentary lifestyle. Observations at the Dawuhan Women's Association in Padamara District, Purbalingga Regency, revealed low awareness, calcium consumption, and exercise habits among members. In response, a community service program for early prevention through promotive-preventive education was implemented. Methods included balanced nutritional counseling, yoga-based physical exercise, and pre- and post-tests. Activities included education on risk factors, training in reading nutrition labels and selecting calcium-rich foods, and yoga practices for bone health, involving lecturers, students, nutritionists/physiotherapists, and sports instructors. Results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and motivation in maintaining nutrition and physical activity. This program effectively empowers women to maintain bone health and has the potential to become a sustainable model for osteoporosis prevention in the community.

Abstract

The use of online games is increasingly widespread among school-age children, including those at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. There are concerns that high levels of play could impact children's mental and emotional well-being, which is a crucial aspect of their psychosocial development. This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of playing online games on the emotional mental health of school children at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Rejodadi Cilacap. This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 173 students and was selected using a total sampling technique. The instruments used were an online gaming intensity questionnaire and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Spearman Rank test. Most children have high online gaming intensity (52.6%) and normal emotional mental condition (56.6%), although 43.4% are in the borderline category. Statistical test results show a very strong and significant relationship between online gaming intensity and children's emotional mental condition (r = 0.750; p = 0.000). Conclusion: The higher the intensity of playing online games, the greater the risk of mental and emotional disorders in school children. Therefore, support and supervision from parent and theachers are essential to limit playing time and provide education about the impact of online games on mental health.
