Abstract

The behavior of drivers who do not consider the movements of other drivers can cause traffic problems, such as congestion and traffic accidents that can occur on the road. The stagger intersection at Jalan Raden Ajeng Kartini is often crowded with vehicles that can cause congestion. This is due to the behavior of drivers crossing from Cut Nyak Dien road to Lindu road, causing a conflict of delays influenced by weaving movements. The purpose of this research is to analyze the amount of delay due to weaving motion on the Raden Ajeng Kartini road.This study uses an analysis of the gap acceptance approach, to get the big results of vehicle delays caused by weaving motion, the average gap time and critical gap.The results of this study show that the vehicle delay caused by weaving motion is 3.20 seconds and 8.93 seconds in the morning and evening. The average gap time was 82.50 seconds in the morning and 94.36 seconds in the afternoon, while the critical gap was 4.34 seconds in the morning and 3.88 seconds in the afternoon. Keywords: Gap Acceptance, Weaving, Delay.

Abstract

Congestion problems are common in transportation, congestion can be caused by several things. The construction of the flyover is expected to be able to overcome congestion in the long term. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the flyover construction on the Teuku Umar - ZA Pagar Alam road. This research was conducted during busy hours on Monday at the Teuku Umar road, ZA Pagar Alam and the nearest intersection.. From the results of calculations and analysis, it can be seen that the construction of an elevated bridge has no significant impact on the decomposition of the congestion problem in the Kedaton area and its surroundings, this can be seen from the level of service on all roads in the study area with a value of V / C Ratio <0.75. Meanwhile, the average degree of saturation obtained from the analysis of intersections with signal and no signal> 0.75. Construction of a flyover which illustrates that it will unravel traffic jams, in fact the performance of the flyover and the main road underneath has not increased. This needs to be addressed immediately considering the current traffic flow in Kedaton and its surroundings is already saturated. Therefore, the growth of vehicles is on time, and public transportation facilities need to be improved. So that people begin to switch to public transportation in order to reduce the incidence of congestion on these roads. Keywords : Road Performance, Degree of Saturation, Level of Road Service

Abstract

Traffic accidents are serious problem in Bandar Lampung City, especially the Soekarno-Hatta Bandar Lampung By Pass Road, considering that this road is the primary arterial road that should not be disturbed by shuttle traffic, local traffic, and local activities. Roadside activities are one of the disruptions that can cause accidents and need to be analyzed. Blackspot are determined by the Equivalent Accident Number (EAN) method based on accident fatality rate each segment of the road. Roadside activities are grouped into pedestrians and crossers (PED), park and stop vehicles on the side of the road (PSV), slow moving vehicles (SMV), also enter and exit vehicles of activity centers (EEV). Analysis with linear regression is used to calculate the level of impact of roadside activities with accident rates. From 25 segments along Soekarno-Hatta Road, 16 segments are classified as blackspot and 6 segments are still classified as blackspot until 2017. EEV is the highest number that affects the decrease in the number of accidents, PSV for the 2nd number, SV for the 3rd number and PED for the smallest number. Besides the average vehicle speed is only 42,8 km/h due to the high volume of vehicles with an average of 2708 skr/h also the damaged of some segments and poor support facilities of the road.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine and analyze the operationalperformance of shuttle bus services within the campus, namely at theUniversity of Lampung. The data used in this study is primary data inthe form of data on the number of passengers, data up and downpassengers, and data on travel mileage.The primary data is then processed and produces data on load factor,headway time, cycle time, travel speed and frequency of shuttle busservices. To make it easier for the reader, the data is then entered intothe form of tables and graphs. From the graph results can be seen thecorrelation between the speed and distance of the service.Based on these results, it can be concluded that the average loadfactor value is 41.49%, the average cycle time is 15.6 minutes, theaverage headway is 6.125 minutes, and the service frequency is 8buses/hour.Keywords: time headway, load factor, campus bus, shuttle bus, speed,cycle time.

Abstract

Abstract One method of road infarstructure maintenance is dredging the old asphalt pavement to then be re-coated with a new asphalt pavement. The result of dredging old asphalt pavement is called RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement). RAP can be used as an aggregate substitution in the manufacture of new asphalt pavement layers, especially in the AC-WC (Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course) layer by recycling. In addition to the utilization of RAP, improving the quality of road pavement also needs to be done by modifying paved mixtures by adding additives to the asphalt. The additive added in this study is ATK (Coconut Shell Charcoal). This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of ATK on the durability of RAP-based AC-WC mixtures. Furthermore, the immersion of the test object is carried out with a variation of 30 minutes, 1 day at a temperature of 60 °C. The effect of the addition of ATK to the RAP-based AC-WC mixture on its durability judging from the residual Strength Index (IKS) value shows that the residual strength value is getting smaller along with the increasing rap levels and ATK levels in the mixture, this can be caused because ATK is an organic material that is susceptible to the influence of water and RAP is a used asphalt pavement that has suffered damage due to road service. Keywords: AC-WC, RAP, Durability,Coconut shell charcoal Abstrak Salah satu metode pemeliharaan insfrastruktur jalan adalah pengerukan perkerasan aspal lama pada jalan untuk kemudian dilapis kembali dengan perkerasan aspal baru. Hasil dari pengerukan perkerasan aspal lama disebut dengan RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement). RAP dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai substitusi agregat pada pembuatan lapis perkerasan aspal baru khususnya pada lapisan AC-WC (Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course) dengan cara daur ulang. Selain pemanfaatan RAP, peningkatkan kualitas dari perkerasan jalan juga perlu dilakukan dengan cara memodifikasi campuran beraspal dengan menambahkan bahan aditif pada aspal. Bahan aditif yang ditambahkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ATK (Arang Tempurung Kelapa). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ATK terhadap durabilitas campuran AC-WC berbasis RAP. Selanjutnya perendaman benda uji dilakukan dengan variasi 30 menit, 1 hari pada suhu 60˚C. Pengaruh penambahan ATK pada campuran AC-WC berbasis RAP terhadap durabilitasnya ditinjau dari nilai Indeks Kekuatan Sisa (IKS) menunjukkan nilai kekuatan sisa yang semakin kecil seiring dengan bertambahnya kadar RAP dan kadar ATK dalam campuran, hal ini dapat disebabkan karena ATK adalah bahan organik yang rentan terhadap pengaruh air dan RAP adalah perkerasan aspal bekas yang telah mengalami kerusakan akibat masa layan jalan. Kata Kunci: AC-WC, RAP, Durabilitas, ATK

Abstract

Concrete is the main material of rigid pavement that can withstand compressive strength and weak to tensile strength. Flexural tensile strength on rigid pavement itself is a benchmark in concrete pavement. To increase the value of the flexural tensile strength can be done by adding fiber to the concrete mixture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of plastic waste from plastic packaging made of polypropylene on the compressive strength and flexural tensile strength of concrete.In this study, the addition of used plastic waste pieces from packaged glass used fractional volumes of 0%, 0.1%, 0.3%, 0.5%, and 0.7% of the volume of concrete mixture. The samples for this study were a cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm for the compressive strength test and a beam measuring 15 x 15 x 60 cm for the flexural tensile strength test. The test was carried out after the concrete had been 28 days old. The result of this research is the compressive strength decreased along with the amount escalation of the fiber to the concrete mixture. The flexural tensile strength maximum occur of the addition of plastic fibers at 2% volume fraction increased by 23,75% compared to flexural tensile strength of normal concrete. As a result of adding plastic fibers to the concrete mixture, it also decreased the workability of the concrete mixture

Abstract

Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan merupakan persimpangan sebidang tak bersinyal yang sering mengalami kepadatan arus lalu lintas karena adanya perlintasan yang terbentuk dari pertemuan antara dua jenis prasarana transportasi yaitu jalan raya dengan jalan rel. Sehingga aktivitas perjalanan terganggu akibat lintasan kereta api dan banyaknya aktivitas disepanjang jalan menyebabkan antrean kendaraan yang panjang dikarenakan peningkatan volume lalu lintas dan besarnya tundaan yang terjadi. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis tundaan dan panjang antrean akibat pertemuan jalan raya dan jalan rel. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui survei 1 hari kerja. Data yang dianalisis adalah volume, durasi penutupan palang pintu kereta api, tundaan, waktu gap dan panjang antrean kendaraan. Penentuan waktu gap kritis menggunakan metode Gap Acceptance. Hasil analisis yang di dapatkan yaitu : rata-rata penutupan palang pintu perlintasan sebesar 285,29 detik pada pagi hari dan 165,45 detik pada sore hari, rata-rata tundaan sebesar 411,19 detik pada pagi hari dan 377,45 detik pada sore hari, dan panjang antrean mencapai 50 meter di arah Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan – Jalan Gatot Subroto.  Kata Kunci :volume; gap acceptance; tundaan;panjang antrean

Abstract

Salah satu sarana transportasi yang memiliki peranan penting untuk memenuhi kebutuhan transportasi masyarakat perkotaan adalah angkutan kota. Ketersediaan angkutan harus seimbang juga dengan jumlah permintaan agar kinerja angkutan dapat berjalan dengan baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah armada yang beroperasi saat ini apakah sudah sesuai dengan faktor muatannya.Data yang dibutuhkan dalam penelitian ini antara lain : jumlah angkutan kota yang beroperasi saat ini dan jumlah penumpang yang naik/turun angkutan. Diketahui bahwa berdasarkan Keputusan Jendral Direktorat Perhubungan Darat Nomor 687 Tahun 2002 nilai ideal load factor angkutan umum adalah sebesar 70%. Penelitian dilakukan selama satu minggu pada periode sibuk pagi, siang dan sore. Penelitian dilakukan di sepanjang rute angkutan yaitu dari Terminal Rajabasa menuju Tanjung Karang. Dari penelitian diperoleh jumlah armada angkutan kota yang beroperasi saat ini ialah sebanyak 25 armada dan nilai load factor angkutan ialah sebesar 46%. Itu artinya perlu dilakukan pengurangan jumlah armada agar kinerja angkutan dapat berjalan dengan baik.Kata kunci : angkutan kota, kinerja, transportasi.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian adalah melihat pengaruh penambahan bahan difa soil stabilizer terhadap daya dukung dan potensi pengembangan tanah lempung. Tanah lempung berasal dari Lampung Selatan, dibagi menjadi lima variasi penambahan bahan tambah: variasi 1 (tanah asli), variasi 2 (tanah asli ditambah 8% semen dan 0% difa), variasi 3 (tanah asli ditambah 4% semen dan 3% difa), variasi 4 (tanah asli ditambah 6% semen dan 3% difa) dan variasi 5 (tanah asli ditambah 8% semen dan 3% difa). Untuk pengujian CBR, setiap variasi diberikan empat perlakuan yaitu pemeraman empat hari, pemeraman tujuh hari, pemeraman 14 hari, dan pemeraman empat hari dilanjutkan perendaman empat hari. Sedangkan untuk pengujian potensi pengembangan, benda uji direndam selama empat hari sebelum dilakukan pengujian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan difa soil stabilizer meningkatkan nilai CBR tanpa atau dengan rendaman untuk semua perlakuan dan menurunkan potensi pengembangan lempung. Dengan demikian dapat mengurangi ketebalan lapisan pondasi struktur perkerasan jalan. Kata kunci: difa soil stabilizer, sifat mekanik, stabilisasi, tanah lempung.  Abstract The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of difa soil stabilizer on the bearing capacity and swell potential of clay. The clay was divided into five variations: variation 1 (clay only), variation 2 (clay plus 8% cement and 0% difa), variation 3 (clay plus 4% cement and 3% difa), variation 4 (clay plus 6% cement and 3% difa) and variation 5 (clay plus 8% cement and 3% difa). For the CBR test, each variation was given four treatments, namely four-day curing, seven-day curing, 14-day curing, and four-day curing followed by four-day soaking. As for the swell potential test, the specimens were soaked for four days before testing. The results showed that the addition of difa soil stabilizer increased the CBR value without or with soaking for all treatments and decreased the clay swell potential, thereby reducing the thickness of the foundation layer of the pavement structure. Keywords: clay, difa soil stabilizer, mechanical characteristics, stabilization

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kualitas produk bata merah yang dibuat oleh industri kecil dan rumah tangga di Desa Sabah Balau Kecamatan Tanjung Bintang Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, dengan cara mencampurkan bahan aditif dalam komposisi tertentu dengan tanah bahan baku bata merah. Metode pengabdian berupa partisipasi masyarakat dengan indikator kesertaan masyarakat dalam kegiatan melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan dan pembinaan. Materi sosialisasi meliputi pengenalan dan manfaat bahan aditif untuk meningkatkan kualitas bata merah serta manfaat ekonomi bagi pengrajin. Selanjutnya, kegiatan pelatihan meliputi persiapan alat dan bahan, simulasi proses pencampuran bahan aditif, pemadatan dan pencetakan bata merah. Kemudian pendampingan kepada pengrajin bata merah selama enam bulan sampai pengrajin dapat melakukan proses pembuatan bata merah dengan baik dengan cara mengawasi proses, mengambil sampel untuk diuji untuk mengetahui kualitas.
