Abstract

Transportasi laut telah memiliki peran yang sangat signifikan dalam perdagangan sejak zaman dahulu kala di Nusantara. Saat itu, perkembangan teknologi perkapalan menjadi pendukung utama bagi aktivitas ekonomi, menjadikan Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara maritim sejak zaman dahulu. Meskipun kapal-kapal tradisional kini tergantikan oleh teknologi modern seperti kapal bermesin disel untuk pelayaran jarak jauh, namun peran mereka masih terasa kuat di wilayah lokal/antar pulau. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana peran pelayaran rakyat mendukung peningkatan akses antar wilayah. Wilayah laut Indonesia yang luas, mencapai 3.257.483 km2 atau sekitar 2/3 dari total wilayahnya, menjadikan transportasi laut (kapal) sebagai salah satu moda transportasi utama dalam era globalisasi. Mengenali urgensi peran transportasi ini, angkutan laut perlu diatur dengan baik dalam sistem transportasi nasional yang terpadu. Sistem ini harus mampu mengoordinasikan peran pemerintah sebagai regulator, pengusaha sebagai operator, dan masyarakat sebagai pengguna jasa. Lebih dari sekadar menjadi penghubung antar wilayah, sistem transportasi juga harus menjamin keselamatan. Seperti moda transportasi lainnya, angkutan laut memiliki risiko yang perlu dikelola dengan baik. Kemampuan mengelola pelayaran menjadi kunci untuk meminimalisir risiko yang mungkin timbul. Kecelakaan akibat kelalaian memiliki potensi kerugian, baik secara materiil maupun non-materiil. Oleh karena itu, komunikasi yang efektif antara pihak terkait sangat penting untuk mengatur keselamatan pelayaran. Kata Kunci: Angkutan Laut, Keselamatan Kapal dan Kecelakaan kapal

Abstract

Merdeka Square Park in Malang City is one of the parks which is a favorite place for the people of Malang to do recreation. Apart from being a favorite place, the location of this park is also very strategic, which is right in the middle of the city or directly adjacent to the main road where many vehicles pass. Based on the location of this park, it is necessary to conduct research related to the level of comfort in the park based on visitor perceptions and the level of thermal comfort. This research was conducted to determine the level of comfort that exists in Merdeka Square Park, Malang City. The research method used is THI (temperature humidity index) to analyze the level of thermal comfort and the Likert scale to analyze the comfort level of the park based on visitor perceptions of nine indicators or influencing factors, namely beauty, cleanliness, safety, circulation, shape, aroma/smell- smell, noise, lighting, and climate. Based on the results of the study, it was found that this park has an average THI value of 25.8 0 C with a fairly comfortable category. Then, for the level of comfort based on visitor perceptions, it was found that the indicators of beauty, safety, circulation, shape and climate fall into the very comfortable category. Meanwhile, for indicators of cleanliness, aroma/odors, noise, and lighting fall into the quite comfortable category.

Abstract

The yard is an open space that has potential to be developed as a garden area and pavement, but many people think garden is only a waste land that utilization and modest from the surrounding buildings. The study focused on the school yard with the main building serving as education. Generally students learn in the classroom until after receiving lessons, it sometimes leads to psychological pressure to students such as stress that impact on learning outcomes. One of the architectural healing functions is the provision of a functionally and aesthetically designed garden. The research started with Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with school committee of SD Lowokwaru 3 Malang which discussed the need of garden design. The garden is divided into certain zones such as esthetic, productive, and vertical garden zone with simple technology. The garden is not only a passive garden or consumed visually, but students can also be involved directly about the process of making, maintaining and managing it. The purpose of this research is to provide alternative model of recreational and educational garden design for students, while the specific target is to study problems in school garden, analyze, and produce educational garden concept. The research method is conducted qualitatively with architectural design which ends on the concept and follow Gold and Rustam Hakim’s thinking, with adjustment to agricultural science and education. The result of the research is the division of zoning of garden space based on educational space and playing in the concept of architectural design along with the selection of vegetation. The conclusion of this research is the garden as outdoor education facility for school students.Keywords: garden, concept, recreative-educative, and outdoor learning

Abstract

Kota Malang merupakan salah satu kota besar di Indonesia yang menghadapi tantangan dalam peningkatan kenyamanan termal ruang luar. Vegetasi perkotaan, khususnya pohon, memiliki potensi untuk memperbaiki kondisi mikroiklim melalui mekanisme peneduhan dan transpirasi. Namun demikian, efektivitasnya sangat dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik kanopi, terutama kerapatannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis variasi kerapatan kanopi dan tingkat kenyamanan termal pada ruas Jalan Ahmad Yani serta (2) mengidentifikasi pengaruh kombinasi kerapatan kanopi terhadap kondisi mikroiklim setempat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan selama 15 hari pada tiga segmen pengamatan dengan parameter suhu udara, kelembapan udara, dan dokumentasi kanopi. Pengolahan nilai kanopi dilakukan menggunakan ImageJ, sedangkan analisis nilai Leaf Area Index (LAI), Thermal Humidity Index (THI), dan uji statistik (Independent-Samples T-Test, regresi, dan korelasi) dilakukan menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya variasi nilai THI antar segmen yang dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan kerapatan kanopi. Analisis regresi mengindikasikan bahwa LAI berbanding terbalik dengan suhu dan THI serta berbanding lurus dengan kelembapan udara. Temuan tersebut menegaskan bahwa kombinasi kerapatan kanopi mampu menghasilkan efek pendinginan mikro sehingga berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kenyamanan termal ruang jalan.
