Abstract

Lingkungan yang tercemar akan membuat aktifitas masyarakat menjadi terganggu. Masyarakat yang tepat berada di sekitaran kawasan kendang akan mencium bau busuk yang mengganggu indera penciuman. Bau busuk juga mengundang perkembangbiakan lalat yang tak terkendali dan menjadi sumber penyebar berbagai penyakit. Sayangnya terkadang peternak menyemprotkan zat- zat kimia yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan dalam menangani bau busuk dan koloni lalat. Bau busuk tersebut bersumber dari kadar amonia (NH3) yang tinggi. Selain gas amonia (NH3), kandang ayam juga menghasilkan gas Carbon dioksida (CO2) dan metana (CH4) yang merupakan satu faktor penyebab suhu disekitar kandang meningkat. Dalam menangani kadar amonia (NH3) dengan menambahkan sistem penyemprot probiotik kedalam kandang yang dapat dikendalikan melalui aplikasi pada smarthphone dengan menambahkan fitur pengendalian kadar CO2 pada ruangan kandang dengan menggunakan sensor MQ135. Alay yang dikembangkan dan didiseminasikan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah alat yang sudah dibuat dengan teknologi PLTS. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan jika alat ini cukup baik digunakan oleh peternak untuk mengurangi bau disekitar kandang.

Abstract

This study aims to ensure that the use of Pop-Up Book Media affects the writing abilities of junior high school students. This media focuses with Descriptive Text material to teach writing skill to class VII students. This research use ADDIE model. The sample for this research was class VIIA MTs Sunan Ampel Kediri, totaling 14 students. Data collection was carried out by observation, unstructured interviews with teacher and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using a manual percentage formula. These findings show that the validation percentage of media experts reached 98%, that means "very valid", then the percentage of material validation reached 96%, with means "very valid". The total percentage of student satisfaction questionnaires reached 83.9% which is classified as "Very Satisfied". In conclusion, the use of Pop-Up Book media in learning can increase students' motivation in learning English and increase the creativity of students' in making paragraphs this is immediately effective for developing students' writing skills and the Pop-Up Book learning media is ready to be used by teachers as a learning media.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop spinning wheel game as a learning media to teach English speaking skill. Physical spinning wheels enhance learning by boosting student motivation through interactive and tactile engagement. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method by applying the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation in developing learning media. Qualitative data were collected from unstructured interviews with English teachers and validator feedback on the Spinning Wheel game. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale for validation of instruments, media, materials, and student satisfaction. The instrument expert obtained 90%, the media expert 92%, and the lesson expert 78%, all categorized as "Valid." Student satisfaction reached 81.25%, falling under the "Very Feasible" category. In conclusion, the Spinning Wheel Game effectively can be used to teach tenth grade students' English speaking skills through interactive and engaging learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate an interactive video as a learning media to teach students' English-speaking skills. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In the analysis stage, classroom observations and student questionnaires were conducted to identify learning needs. Based on the findings, the design stage involved determining the appropriate interactive video content, creating scripts, and structuring the video. The development stage included video editing using CapCut, followed by expert validation. The results showed high validity scores: instrument validation (92.5%), media validation (87.5%), and material validation (92.5%), all categorized as "very valid." During implementation, pretests and post-tests were conducted, revealing a 10% increase in students' speaking performance, demonstrating the effectiveness of the interactive video. Finally, in the evaluation stage, a student satisfaction questionnaire resulted in an 80% score, categorized as "very feasible." These findings indicate that the developed interactive video is a valid, feasible, and effective tool for improving students' English-speaking skills.

Abstract

This research and development aims to describe the process and results of the development of Power Point Interactive media for teaching speaking on greeting, leave taking, and introduction materials. The subjects of the study were 30 students of 7th grade MTs Sunan Kalijogo. The development procedure refers to the Borg and Gall model. The information collection techniques in the preliminary study were interview and questionnaire. Meanwhile, to determine the feasibility of the Interactive Power Point product, the researcher used a questionnaire instrument given to material expert and media expert. Then, students were given a pre-test and post-test. In addition, the distribution of student response questionnaires to determine the level of student satisfaction with the media. According to the assessment of material expert, a score of 97.5% was obtained with a very valid category. From media experts, a score of 100% was obtained with a very valid category. Furthermore, the results of the pre-test and post-test with the calculation of the N-Gain formula obtained results of 0.8 with high qualifications. The student response questionnaire also obtained a score of 94% with a very feasible category. The last, Power Point Interactive was declared very suitable for use in teaching speaking skill.

Abstract

This study focuses into the usefulness of Mystery Box media in helping students improve their English speaking skills, particularly in descriptive writing, at MA Syekh Subakir Nglegok, Grade 10 B.  The research takes a Research and Development (R&D) strategy, employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches based on the ADDIE paradigm.  Qualitative data were gathered through teacher interviews and expert validation, while quantitative data were gathered from pre-test and post-test scores, as well as Likert scale-based student satisfaction questionnaires. The results show an important rise in pupils' speaking performance, with average scores rising from 64.78% to 81.30%, a 16.52% increase.  According to the Likert-scale questionnaire, 85% of students were satisfied with the media, indicating that they considered it engaging and effective.  Expert validation demonstrates that the Mystery Box is viable, versatile, and useful for classroom use.  However, some problems, such as diverse student involvement and vocabulary limits, were found.

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to create an educational media in the form of a Pictionary Game to help seventh-grade students at MTsN 3 Blitar improve their speaking and writing abilities. Many students considered English difficult and uninteresting owing to traditional teaching techniques, which resulted in poor enthusiasm and confidence in utilizing the language. The researcher created and assessed the efficacy of Pictionary Game media using the ADDIE paradigm. Data gathering methods included observations, questionnaires, and pre- and post-tests. Media, instrument, and material specialists validated the product and gave it "very valid" ratings ranging from 80% to 92.5%. The post-test findings showed a 10.69% improvement in speaking and a 12.7% improvement in writing abilities over the pre-test levels. Student satisfaction reached 85%, indicating the media was “very feasible” for learning. These findings suggest that Pictionary Game media can effectively improve English speaking and writing skills in a fun and engaging way.

Abstract

This study aims to create cue card media as an instructional aid to enhance the speaking skills of ninth-grade students at SMP Hasanuddin. The research adopts the Research and Development (R&D) approach, specifically utilizing the 4-D model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The background of this study stems from students' difficulties in speaking English, particularly in expressing ideas fluently and engaging in meaningful conversations. To address this issue, the researcher designed cue cards containing prompts and vocabulary that support guided dialogues between students.The developed product underwent validation by a media expert and a material expert, and was subsequently tested through student trials. The material validation score was 93%, the media validation score was 95%, and the student satisfaction score was 87%, all of which indicate that the media is highly feasible. The media enables students to engage in paired conversations using situational prompts provided through cue cards. Based on the findings, this learning tool is deemed both effective and practical in enhancing students’ speaking abilities and may serve as an alternative instructional resource in English language teaching

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive PowerPoint (PPT) as a learning media to enhance students’ writing skills, specifically in composing procedure texts for 10th grade students at MA Ma’arif NU Blitar. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, using the ADDIE model which consists of five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests. The findings revealed that the developed interactive PPT significantly improved students’ writing performance. This improvement was evident in the increase of average scores from pre-test to post-test, and supported by positive responses from students regarding the clarity, engagement, and effectiveness of the media. Media validation results also showed a high level of feasibility and appropriateness. The interactive PPT includes animations, quizzes, and hyperlinks to foster active learning. In conclusion, this interactive PPT proved to be a feasible and effective media to support writing instruction and enhance students’ engagement and achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instructional medium in the form of flashcards to enhance students’ speaking skills in English language learning. The research subject was 26 students of 7th grade at MTS Maftahul Uluum Jatinom Blitar. The development procedure referred to ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The background of this study stems from students' difficulties in speaking English and the lack of interest in learning. To address this issue, the researcher designed flashcard with the interesting and colorful pictures.The developed product underwent validation by a media expert and a material expert, and was subsequently tested through student trials. The material validation score was 88%, the media validation score was 98%, and the student satisfaction score was 90%, all of which indicate that the media is highly feasible. The result of student satisfaction analysis indicates that flashcard is effective to increase student interest. Based on the findings, this learning tool is deemed both effective and practical in enhancing students’ interest and may serve as an alternative instructional resource in English language teaching.
