Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of problem-based learning (PBL) models to the critical thinking skills of 5th graders at Elementary School. The method used in this research is classroom action research. In this study, there are two data, namely verbal data and nonverbal data. The research subjects were elementary school students in grade 5 in the city of Madiun. The collecting data using observation techniques, interviews and tests. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire and a test. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Qualitative data analysis uses questionnaire data and observation, while quantitative data uses test results. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills in thematic learning from cycle 1 and cycle 2. An increase in students' critical thinking skills in cycle I is 30%, students who pass the Minimum Completeness Criteria, and 60% of the second cycle in each cycle. The more students experience an increase in their critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Limited face-to-face learning which only focuses on giving assignments has an impact on the low interest of students in participating in the teaching and learning process in class. One solution that can be applied is to apply a quizziz-based joyful learning model that can foster student interest in learning. This study aims to increase students' interest in learning by applying a quizziz-based joyful learning model in limited face-to-face learning. This research is a classroom action research with a subject of 10 students. Data were collected by means of observation, documentation, tests and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed an increase in students' interest in learning in pre-action 41%, cycle I by 63.8% and cycle II by 84.3%, categorized as very strong. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the quizziz-based joyful learning model can be used as an alternative solution in learning because it can increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease is an infectious disease that first appeared in Wuhan, China in 2019. The widespread spread of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia has prompted the government to issue a new policy to break the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus, namely by calling for online learning to be carried out at home using internet facilities. However, not all schools in the 3T areas in Indonesia carry out online learning well, many obstacles are encountered, in terms of facilities, teachers and students. There are still many teachers who only often use the online learning media Whatsapp group and many assignments from students are sent through the application. Apart from that, in terms of students, students feel bored with using the media, because they only do discussions and download material without carrying out discussion activities with friends or teachers in online learning. Edmodo is an internet-based platform that provides services to help facilitate teachers delivering material and assignments to students. Research Objectives to determine the effectiveness of Edmodo learning media on digital literacy in 3T regional schools. This type of research uses quantitative research. The results of the study show that the use of Edmodo as an effective learning medium for digital literacy in schools. Edmodo as an E-Learning learning medium has advantages and increases interest in learning and makes the learning atmosphere more enjoyable.

Abstract

Keterampilan Menulis adalah salah satu kemampuan berbahasa yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Menumbuhkembangkan untuk berani mengekspresikan gagasan atau gagasan siswa dalam bentuk tertulis dapat dikembangkan melalui pendidikan. Namun,  sayangnya  habituasi  ini  tidak  ditanggapi  secara  serius  dalam  sistem pendidikan, sehingga budaya penulisan pada siswa tetap rendah dan masih banyak siswa yang merasa kesulitan untuk melakukan penulisan cerita. Tujuan menulis keterampilan di sekolah adalah agar siswa dapat berbicara bahasa Indonesia untuk mengembangkan ide atau gagasan secara tertulis melalui esai yang mereka buat. Salah satu media yang dapat meningkatkan media pembelajaran menulis adalah Big Book Writing. Media Big Book Writing adalah salah satu media yang dapat merangsang siswa untuk menulis. Big Book Writing adalah buku bacaan dengan ukuran, teks, dan grafis yang hebat.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan guru dalam era digital menjadi krusial, terutama pada penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan teknologi. Salah satu pendekatan inovatif adalah melalui workshop penggunaan Quizizz, platform pembelajaran interaktif berbasis digital. Workshop ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan digital guru untuk mendesain evaluasi kreatif dan menarik. Hasil dari pelatihan workshop menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan digital peserta. Sebelum pelatihan, terdapat bebrapa guru yang merasa belum percaya diri menggunakan teknologi dalam evaluasi. Setelah mengikuti workshop, Guru mampu menciptakan evaluasi berbasis proyek dengan integrasi Quizizz yang lebih menarik bagi siswa.  Pengabdian    ini    bertujuan    untuk    mengeksplorasi    penerapan    media pembelajaran Quizizz sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD). Quizizz adalah platform berbasis web   yang   memungkinkan   guru   membuat   kuis   interaktif   untuk   siswa. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian  ini  melibatkan  partisipasi  aktif  dari  guru-guru  Sekolah Dasar dalam  sebuah program  pengabdian  yang   dilakukan  di  sekolah  dasar  daerah  Kebumen.

Abstract

This study explores the use of the Flipbook platform as an instructional medium to enhance reading skills among students at the Indonesian School of Davao, Philippines. The need for effective and engaging learning media is crucial, particularly for students with unique characteristics, such as learners of Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA), participants in the Basic Indonesian Knowledge Course (KPDI), and those newly introduced to Bahasa Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, focusing on understanding how Flipbook can support reading comprehension and language acquisition. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis to examine the learning process and its effectiveness. The findings reveal a series of structured steps for implementing Flipbook in Bahasa Indonesia instruction, highlighting its role in improving students’ engagement, comprehension, and overall reading proficiency. The study demonstrates that Flipbook facilitates interactive and visually enriched learning experiences, making language acquisition more accessible and enjoyable. The results contribute to the development of innovative teaching strategies within the BIPA program, KPDI, and Overseas Indonesian Schools (SILN). This study underscores the potential of digital learning media in fostering literacy and offers practical implications for educators seeking to enhance reading skills in Bahasa Indonesia instruction.

Abstract

This research aimed to improve learning outcomes on solar system material by applying Stellarium learning media. Students' low understanding of abstract concepts related to solar system material is the background for this research. Apart from that, being born and raised in the Philippines and coming from various regions in Mindanao means that Davao Indonesian School students have basic problems regarding understanding language and abstract things so that students do not understand the substance of the material being taught. The science study results found that 50% of grade VI students at the Indonesian School of Davao had not met minimum criteria of 70 in the Solar System material. The research was conducted in Grade VI, school year of 2022/2023. Research activities were carried out according to the classroom action research stages including planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The data in this research was processed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The research results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle, with an average of 75 in cycle I (classical completeness 62.5%) and 80 in cycle II (classical completeness 87.5%). The conclusion of this research is that applying Stellarium technology in learning solar system material can improve the learning outcomes of class VI students at the Indonesian School in Davao, Philippines.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi memberikan tantangan sekaligus peluang bagi dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola aktivitas belajar di kelas. Salah satu aplikasi yang dapat memfasilitasi pengelolaan pembelajaran secara efektif adalah Padlet. Padlet memungkinkan guru untuk membuat ruang digital interaktif di mana siswa dapat berkolaborasi, berbagi ide, serta mengakses materi pembelajaran dengan mudah. PKM ini bertujuan untuk mengadakan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Padlet bagi para guru guna meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam mengelola aktivitas belajar. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam mengelola interaksi dan aktivitas belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran daring dengan menggunakan aplikasi Padlet. PKM ini didasari oleh kendala dalam pembelajaran daring yang dihadapi guru yaitu kesulitan dalam mengawasi dan memastikan siswa belajar, mengobservasi siswa dan terbatasnya kesempatan untuk memberikan respon kepada siswa. PKM ini dilakukan selama lima bulan dengan melibatkan 20 orang guru SDN Negeri 1 Tambakagung Mojokerto. Kegiatan PKM meliputi, 1) sosialisasi dan pelatihan, 2) diseminasi, 4) implementasi oleh guru dan refleksi.Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode workshop yang meliputi penjelasan fitur-fitur aplikasi, demonstrasi penggunaan, dan praktik langsung. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, menarik, dan efektif. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk mendukung perkembangan siswa di era digital.

Abstract

This study explores the utilization of digital learning media in arts and culture education within the context of Indonesian schools abroad (Sekolah Indonesia Luar Negeri/SILN). Through a systematic literature review, the research investigates how digital tools can support the preservation and promotion of Indonesian cultural identity while enhancing student engagement and creativity. The findings reveal that digital media, including interactive multimedia platforms and virtual learning environments, play a significant role in making arts and culture education more accessible, interactive, and relevant for students living in multicultural environments. Benefits include increased student motivation, collaborative learning opportunities, and the development of critical digital skills. However, the study also identifies several challenges, such as limited technological infrastructure, uneven access to digital resources, and insufficient teacher training in integrating technology into culturally rich curricula. The research highlights the need for a more comprehensive approach that includes professional development for educators, curriculum adaptation, and investment in digital infrastructure. While the study is limited by its reliance on secondary sources, it provides valuable insights into the potential and limitations of digital media in global cultural education. These findings contribute to the ongoing discourse on digital transformation in education and offer practical recommendations to enhance the implementation of digital learning in arts and culture, particularly in international school settings.

Abstract

The development of the world of technology in the current era can be a strong impetus to optimize technology in various fields, including the world of education, one of which is in the form of digital learning media. Elementary school teachers in Trenggalek Regency find it difficult to use digital learning media due to lack of knowledge and training regarding the use of digital media, teachers still do not master the use of digital platforms that can be used as learning media, variations in the learning process really need to be optimized to make students enthusiastic and not bored during learning, teachers need training related to the use of digital learning media. Padlet is a digital learning media that is easy for educators and students to use to carry out distance learning. Participants in the training activity were 302 elementary school teachers in Munjungan District, Trenggalek Regency. This training activity was carried out in a hybrid manner; offline activities were located at SMP N 1 Munjungan in Trenggalek Regency, and carried out simultaneously with online activities carried out via Zoom meeting. The training activities were carried out in several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and mentoring. The training activities were carried out in two sessions: presentation of material, questions and answers, and the next session was mentoring. The results of the training activities that had been carried out, participants were able to master knowledge and skills that exceeded the expected targets.
