Abstract

This research aims to: (1) find out whether the increase in student learning outcomes taught using the guided inquiry learning model and hyperlink-based PowerPoint media is higher than the increase in student learning outcomes taught using the conventional model and hyperlink-based PowerPoint media. (2) determine students' responses to the guided inquiry learning model and hyperlink-based PowerPoint media. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA MAS PAB 1 Sampali. The sample in this study was taken using total sampling. Samples were taken from 2 classes, namely the Experiment class and the Control class. The results of the hypothesis in this research using the one-party t test, obtained a value of tcount that is greater than ttable. So Ha is accepted which shows that the increase in student learning outcomes taught with the guided inquiry learning model and hyperlink-based PowerPoint media is higher than the increase in student learning outcomes taught with the conventional model and hyperlink-based PowerPoint media. The N-gain experimental class is greater than control class and students' responses to this learning model are categorized as good. It can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model and hyperlink-based PowerPoint media influence student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: Development of a Chemistry E-Module Based on a Problem Based Learning Model on Reaction Rate Material. This research uses the 4D model Research and Development (R&D) method starting from the definition, design, development and distribution stages. The research was limited to the development stage, namely determining the level of validity and small-scale trials to see responses from teachers and students at SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan.  The product that will be produced is a chemistry e-module based on Problem Based Learning which contains a review of reaction rate material. Data collection used validation questionnaires and teacher and student response questionnaires. The validation assessment involved five expert validators including two media expert validators and three material expert validators. The media expert assessment was 87.8% which met very valid criteria and the material expert assessment was 80.5% with very valid criteria. Therefore, the rate e-module using the problem based learning model is suitable for use in the learning process. The teacher practicality test was carried out and a result of 98% was obtained which met the very practical criteria. The results of 32 students' responses to the e-module were 82.9% with strongly agree criteria. It was concluded that the Chemistry E-Module based on the Problem Based Learning Model on Reaction Rate Material could increase students' motivation in learning.Keywords: E-Module; Reaction rate; Problem Based Learning.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13i1.30398

Abstract

Preservation of  Simalungun's typical sauce to the women™s organization of Simalungun Central Bureau of Statistics by the Medan State University Research and Service Center, namely tinuktuk sauce, have been carried out by socializing the benefits and contents of which have been carried out online. Preserving this tinuktuk sauce as a form of community service has already been done by the Universita Negeri Medan community research and service center. It is implemented by socializing the benefits and nutritional content of tinuktuk. In the webinar, not only the introduction of the Simalungun tinuktuk sauce, but also the nutritional content and benefits of the tinuktuk sauce were also socialized. This is also related to the importance of nutritional needs to increase body immunity during the COVID-19 period. In the process of socializing efforts to preserve the benefits and nutritional content of Simalungun's special sauce, there was a significant difference in result between the pre-test and post-test, namely in the pre-test 43% and post-test 84%, and this indicates that participants know the benefits and nutritional content of Simalungun™s typical tinuktuk sauce. This community service activity went smoothly because the participant already knew about the nutritional content and benefits of Simalungun™s typical tinuktuk sauce and it™s hoped that the tinuktuk sauce can be preserved.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan lahan yang ada dimanfaatkan oleh Dharma Wanita dan Mitra Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Serdang Bedagai. Pemanfaatan lahan perlu disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan pangan semakin meningkat. Dengan begitu pemanfaatan lahan terutama lahan kosong maupun perkarangan rumah terus diupayakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan keluarga dan peningkatan perekonomian. Tim pengabdian masyarakat Universitas Negeri Medan mengupayakan sosialisasi terkait penanaman hidroponik berupa pakcoy dan selada air dengan beberapa tahap yaitu penyampaian materi terkait keunggulan dan manfaat tanaman hidroponik, praktek lapangan secara langsung mengenai penanaman tanaman hidroponik serta ternak lele untuk memanfaatkan saluran air di sekeliling BPS Serdang Bedagai. Alat berupa instalasi hidroponik serta bahan dasar yang dibutuhkan juga diberikan kepada mitra untuk pemanfaatan di perkarangan mitra serta keberlanjutan secara mandiri sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian mitra.

Abstract

Tinuknuk is a special sauce from Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province, tinuktuk warms the body and is believed to be able to cure various internal diseases, especially to help post-natal recovery. This study aims to determine the optimal nutritional value of the main components, namely red ginger with black pepper in the ratio composition: 70:30%, 60:40%, 50:50%, 40:60%, and 30:70% using the method oven at a temperature of 105℃. Then the ash content, protein content, and salt content were tested. The results showed that the ash content was 6.98%, respectively; 6.91%; 6.90%; 6.84%, and 6.73%. The salt content is 0.57%, respectively; 0.57%; 0.57%; 0.57%, and 0.57%. The protein content was 10.43%, respectively; 10.93%; 12.43%; 11.81%, and 10.62%.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan usaha peternakan sapi melalui penerapan inovasi teknologi pengolahan pakan dan pengelolaan limbah. Melalui pendekatan teknologi tepat guna, kegiatan ini difokuskan pada upaya peningkatan efisiensi penggunaan bahan pakan, pengurangan dampak lingkungan, serta peningkatan kualitas produk hasil ternak. Artikel ini membahas seluruh tahapan mulai dari persiapan, pelaksanaan yang mencakup pelatihan dan workshop, monitoring dan evaluasi sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan kapasitas peternak dalam memanfaatkan teknologi yang hemat biaya dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji apakah Reading to Learn memengaruhi rangkuman siswa dan hasil belajar tentang materi ikatan kimia. Kelas XI-1 adalah kelas kontrol dan kelas XI-3 adalah kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan random sampling. Populasi penelitian ini mencakup semua siswa kelas XI MAN Tebing Tinggi. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan instrument soal yang telah divalidasi oleh validator ahli. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t independent dan uji korelasi pearson product moment. Dengan nilai sig 0,001 < 0,05, maka Ha diterima, yang artinya metode Reading to Learn memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan pada rangkuman siswa. Dengan nilai sig 0,006 < 0,05, maka Ha diterima, yang artinya metode Reading to Learn memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa. Uji korelasi digunakan untuk menguji apakah hasil belajar siswa dan pembuatan rangkuman memiliki hubungan. Nilai Sig. (2-tailed) menghasilkan 0,000, yang berada di bawah tingkat signifikansi 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan rangkuman dan hasil belajar siswa memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Berdasarkan nilai korelasi pearson > rtabel (0,609 > 0,349) menunjukkan kategori hubungan yang kuat antara pembuatan rangkuman dan hasil belajar siswa. Temuan penelitian ini menyiratkan bahwa metode ini memiliki kemampuan dalam meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar siswa.
