Abstract

This research aimed to improve students' reading skills using Wallchart learning media, designed through Classroom Action Research (CAR), based on the Kemmis & Taggart model. This Classroom Action Research aimed to provide innovative actions and solutions to obstacles encountered in the learning process. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 086 Dalam Lidang, Panyabungan District, Mandaling Natal Regency, with a total population of 24 first-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation and reading skill tests. The results showed increased reading skills, as evidenced by the number of students who completed the reading program reaching 63.90% in Cycle 1 and 82.65% in Cycle 2. Wall Chart: Representing complex information with a very realistic, simple, and attractive visual design, it can be used as an independent learning tool that can be seen anytime because it is mounted on a wall or in any particular corner. Therefore, using Wallchart learning media in Indonesian language learning can improve elementary school students' reading skills.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan ini berawal dari persoalan yang dihadapi guru di SD Negeri 2 Merauke terkait kurangnya pemahaman perencanaan pembelajaran tematik berbasis nilai-nilai Pendidikan karakter. Akibatnya kebijakan implementasi kurikulum merdeka yang telah dicanangkan pemerintah tidak berjalan dengan optimal. Tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Menyusun dan mengimplentasikan pembelajaran tematik berbasis nilai-nilai Pendidikan karakter. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode pelatihan dan pendampingan. Peserta dalam pelatihan ini adalah guru, kepala sekolah dan pengawas sekolah sebanyak 10 orang.  Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data tes awal yang dilakukan sebelum dilakukan pelatihan diperoleh informasi bahwa sebesar 60 % peserta pelatihan masuk kategori cukup memahami integrasi nilai-nilai Pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran tematik. Selanjutnya setelah dilakukan pelatihan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dimana sebesar 80% peserta pelatihan masuk kategori sangat baik dalam merencanakan dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran tematik berbasis nilai-nilai Pendidikan karakter. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan secara terstruktu dapat meningkatkan ketermpilan guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan pembelajaran tematik berbasis nilai-nilai Pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

Research on Developing Student Worksheets (LKPD) for Science Subjects Based on Local Wisdom Class IV SD Inpres Seringgu Merauke. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of LKPD based on local wisdom on the theme of caring for living things at SD Inpres Seringgu Merauke, to find out the response of teachers and students to LKPD based on local wisdom on the theme of caring for living things at SD Inpres Seringgu Merauke. The subjects of this study were 26 students in class IV and I homeroom teachers for class IV SD Inpres Seringgu Merauke. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) and uses the ADDIE design model. Data collection techniques were carried out using validation sheets and questionnaires. The validation results of the three validators obtained an average percentage of 77.3% in the Eligible category, the results of the teacher's response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 100% in the very good category and the results of the student response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 90% in the very good category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the LKPD based on local wisdom on the theme of caring for living things can be used as one of the teaching materials at SD Inpres Seringgu Merauke.
