Abstract

Adequacy of breast milk is the condition of the baby or mother showing several signs that indicate satisfaction in the production or consumption of breast milk. Infants aged 6 months, can be judged to have adequate breastfeeding, one of which is marked by the baby drinking breast milk every 2-3 hours or in 24 hours at least getting breast milk 8 times in the first 2-3 weeks. Papaya leaf simplicia can be one way to increase the rate of secretion and milk production and a strategy to overcome the failure of exclusive breastfeeding caused by low milk production. Based on this background, the researchers conducted a study on the effect of papaya leaf simplicia (Carica Papaya L.) on the adequacy of breast milk in infants aged 6 months. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that there was an effect of Papaya Leaf Simplicia (Carica Papaya L.) on the adequacy of breast milk in infants aged 6 months (sig=0,000<α=0,05). This shows that consuming Papaya Leaf Simplicia (Carica Papaya L.) is proven to be effective in increasing the adequacy of breast milk.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is influenced by several factors, including breast milk does not come out immediately after giving birth, the baby's difficulty in sucking, the condition of the mother's nipples being unsupported, the mother working, and the influence/promotion of breast milk substitutes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the hypnobreastfeeding technique on breast milk production in postpartum mothers at BPM Atikah, Panyabungan District. The research design is an analytic experimental pre-experimental type with a pretest-post test one group design approach. all postpartum mothers < 24 hours at BPM Atikah as many as 25 postpartum mothers, the sampling technique was total sampling. The results of the research on breast milk production before the hypnobreastfeeding technique was carried out in postpartum mothers were mostly less than 7-123 ml as many as 12 (48%) and after hypnobreastfeeding in postpartum mothers at BPM Atikah mostly good > 7-123 ml as many as 12 (48%). There is an effect of hypnobreastfeeding technique on milk production with a p value of 0.001 < 0.05. Postpartum mothers should increase their knowledge and experience in an effort to increase breast milk production so that mothers can give breast milk optimally.

Abstract

Malnutrition (kwashiorkor) is a form of malnutrition. Malnutrition itself can be understood as a nutritional error. It can be in the form of deficiency or excess of nutrients. This research is a case control study. The population in this study were 45 people. Data was collected through medical records and interviews using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed univariately, bivariately using Chi-Square test at 95% confidence level (P<0.05) and multivariate using multiple logistic regression test. The results showed that the results of the statistical test of the knowledge independent variable obtained a Sig value of 0.001 < p: 0.05, family income obtained a Sig value of 0.001 < p: 0.05, exclusive breastfeeding obtained a Sig value of 0.001 < p: 0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The most dominant variable that has the greatest influence on the incidence of malnutrition is knowledge which has the largest Exp (B) value of 112,687 with a regression coefficient (B) of 4.725. The Health Office of South Tapanuli Regency is expected to be able to increase outreach and counseling programs about the importance of nutritional status in infants aged 0-6 months.

Abstract

Based on data from the Health Organization (WHO) in 2002 reported that 54% of deaths were caused directly or indirectly by undernutrition and malnutrition. IV pijorkoling, southeast Padangsidimpuan sub-district in 2022. This type of research is descriptive using a total sampling of 30 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire sheet, researched based on influence, age, education, occupation, parity and sources of information. The majority of respondents with less influence are 18 people (60%), the majority are less than 20-40 years old as many as 16 people (53.34%), the majority have less influence have a high school education as many as 15 people (50%), the majority have less influence are household workers as many as 14 people, (46.67%), the majority of respondents with low influence received information from health workers as many as 18 people (60%) and the majority with less influence based on parity of mothers who gave birth 3-4 times as many as 10 people (33.33%). The majority of the influence of mothers who have babies 6-12 months regarding complementary feeding is still lacking, so it is hoped that mothers will increase their influence and increase awareness and follow the instructions of health workers.

Abstract

Colostrum is needed by newborns as an early nutrient that affects the development and growth of babies, besides colostrum also plays a role in the initial formation of the baby's immune system. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of breastfeeding mothers and the provision of first breast milk (colostrum) in the midwifery room at the South Tapanuli District Hospital in 2022. The sample in this study amounted to 45 people with total sampling technique. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge of breastfeeding mothers and the provision of first breast milk (colostrum) in the obstetrics room of the South Tapanuli District Hospital as indicated by the Spearman correlation test value, the value of = 0.000 was obtained. The results of this study are to increase the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers about the first breastfeeding (colostrum).

Abstract

Pemberian ASI (Air Susu Ibu) merupakan nutrisi yang dibutuhkan untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. Bayi berusia 0-6 bulan haruslah diberikan hanya ASI saja, informasi terkait cakupan ASI eksklusif didapati sangat rendah. Beberapa data menyebutkan hal ini diakibatkan oleh kurangnya dukungan orang terdekat mengenai pemberian ASI eksklusif. Dukungan orang sekitar atau orang terdekat khususnya suami menjadi salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan menyusui. Pemberdayaan keluarga melalui peer edukator suami sangat dibutuhkan untuk membantu keberhasilan pemberian ASI ekslusif. Sehingga dibutuhkan kegiatan pendampingan peer educator suami dengan memberikan penyuluhan, pelatihan mengenai ASI eksklusif. Metode pendampingan yang dilakukan yaitu metode partisipatif dengan melakukan pendekatan terhadap suami serta tokoh masyarakat setempat untuk mendapatkan perizinan dan dukungan dalam melakukan program pemberdayaan keluarga melalui peer eduk ator suami dalam upaya mendukung keberhasilan pemberian ASI Eksklusif di wilayah binaan. Jenis kegiatan ini berupa serangkaian kegiatan pendampingan berupa penyuluhan dan pemberian edukasi kepada suami untuk menambah pengetahuan dalam memberikan dukungan untuk keberhasilan pemberian ASI Eksklusif. Tempat atau lokasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Puskesmas Hutaimbaru Kota Padangsidimpuan dengan kelompok sasaran adalah warga lingkungan sekitar. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan berdampak baik khusunya bagi para suami atau keluarga dimana suami dapat mengetahui manfaat, cara pemberian yang diharapkan dapat memberikan dukungan sepenuhnya dalam pemberian ASI Eksklusif

Abstract

The success of the National Family Planning (KB) Movement in encouraging increased community participation in building increasingly independent small families must be considered and even improved because this achievement is not evenly distributed. Likewise, what happened in the Patiluban Mudik Health Center work area where the number of Fertile Age Couples using KB was only a portion of the total number of Fertile Age Couples recorded up to May 2023, which was 514 PUS. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors that influence fertile age couples in terms of the use of Long-Term Contraceptive Methods (MKJP) in the Patiliuban Mudik Health Center Work Area, Natal District, Mandailing Natal Regency in 2023. The research method is quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design approach. The study was conducted in the working area of ​​Patiluban Mudik Health Center with a sample size of 92 people. The analysis used was Chi Square. The results showed a significant relationship between knowledge and the use of MKJP (P value = 0.018 <0.05), there was a significant relationship between family support and the use of MKJP (P value = 0.0033 > 0.05). There was a relationship between parity and the use of MKJP (P value = 0.011 <0.05), The results of this study recommend that Patiluban Mudik Health Center be more intensive in providing counseling about MKJP so that the number of KB users, especially MKJP, can be increased and to find factors that influence PUS not to be willing to use the MKJP method.

Abstract

The elderly are an age group that is vulnerable to various health problems. Classification of the elderly According to WHO, an elderly person is someone who has reached the age of 60 years and above. Hypertension is a high blood pressure disease whose prevalence is still high in Indonesia. According to data from the Ministry of Health, the prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia itself reaches 34.11% of the population. Factors that influence the incidence of hypertension include genetics, race, regional, socio-culture which also relate to different lifestyles so that the incidence rates vary. The form of this activity is counseling to the community with lecture methods, discussions and demonstrations equipped with various media and snack distribution. Results: Based on the evaluation results, the elderly have understood what has been conveyed. It is expected that the community will control their blood pressure regularly every day.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan fase kehidupan antara masa kanak-kanak dan masa dewasa, dari usia 10 hingga 19 tahun. Masa ini merupakan tahap perkembangan manusia yang unik dan masa penting untuk meletakkan dasar-dasar kesehatan yang baik. Remaja mengalami pertumbuhan fisik, kognitif, dan psikososial yang pesat. Kesehatan reproduksi remaja adalah suatu kondisi sehat yang menyangkut sistem, fungsi dan proses reproduksi yang dimiliki oleh remaja. Seks yang dianggap tabu membuat minimalnya pengetahuan dan persepsi yang rendah serta kontrol perilaku pada remaja sehingga remaja cenderung lebih banyak melakukan hubungan seksual sebelum pernikahan, sehingga dapat membuat dampak negatif pada renaja serta dapat berdampak pada kesehatan yaitu penularan penyakit menular seksksual. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan agar remaja semakin sadar akan perlunya memeriksakan diri sendiri dan keluarga. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah ceramah dan tanya jawab serta adanya edukasi kesehatan dengan penyuluhan dan kegiatan ini dilakuakn di Desa Lubuk Raya. Jumlah peserta kegiatan ini adalah 30 orang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan berkoordinasi dengan aparat desa dengan jajarannya. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat diperoleh bahwa pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi semakin meningkat setelah dilakukan penyuluhan. Kesimpulan dengan adanya penngabdian kepada masyarakat diharapkan juga remaja lebih memperhatikan tentang kesehatan reproduksi pada remaja.
