Abstract

Corporations as business entities have obligations to social and environmental responsibility known as CSR. The community development program is the development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Implementation which is used as the Company's effort in sustainable development based on the 3P principle; namely Profit, People, and Planet. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Community Development Program as a strategy in CSR management and analyze the implementation of CSR arrangements in the strategy of managing corporate responsibility in environmental aspects. The method in this study is normative juridical research. with the approach used, namely the Statutory Approach, Conceptual Approach, and Case Approach. The implementation of the Community Development program is a strategic step that can have a long-term positive impact on the company. One important aspect of the Community Development Program is its focus on sustainable development. Companies that involve themselves in this activity not only pay attention to the current environmental aspects but also aim to leave a positive for future generations. By adopting eco-friendly practices and sustainability projects, companies can create a sustainable positive impact in the long run. the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arrangements in environmental responsibility management is an important step taken by companies to maintain a balance between business sustainability and social and environmental impacts. CSR regulation in environmental responsibility management is not just about complying with regulations or meeting market expectations. but also, as an effort to create long-term value, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and become agents of positive change in society.

Abstract

This research has three objectives, they are to explore teacher’s perception, to investigate the implementation, and to investigate challenges of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in teaching basic speaking skills to secondary school students at Radiatul Adawiyah Foundation. By utilizing Descriptive Qualitative method, the research involved one English teacher as the research subject, with the data collected through interviews and observations. The results of the research indicate that the teacher views TBLT positively, recognizing it as an effective method that emphasizes practical language use. The teacher employs various interactive tools and methods, such as quizzes and the Alef platform, to engage students and enhance their language skills. However, the implementation of TBLT faces challenges as well, including students’ limited English proficiency, behavioral issues, and inconsistent attendance of students. These factors hinder the full potential of TBLT in improving students’ speaking skills. Despite these challenges, the teacher remains committed to TBLT, continuously adapting her methods to meet the diverse needs of her students.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an merupakan kitab suci umat Islam yang di dalamnya berisikan petunjuk untuk menjalani kehidupan di dunia. Pemanfaatan teknologi untuk menyediakan informasi Al-Qur’an saat ini sudah dilakukan, yaitu dengan mendigitalisasi Al-Qur’an. Namun, yang menjadi masalah adalah Al-Qur’an digital tidak dapat memberikan pengalaman yang interaktif kepada pengguna. Pengalaman interaktif ini penting karena pengguna dapat memperoleh informasi Al-Qur’an seperti ayat atau tafsir yang spesifik tanpa harus mencari lagi. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan chatbot. Chatbot dapat dikembangkan agar mampu melakukan percakapan secara interaktif serta mampu melakukan pengenalan teks dan memberikan informasi secara akurat dan konsisten. Pengembangan chatbot dalam penelitian ini menggunakan TF-IDF dan Neural Network. Arsitektur Neural Network yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 1 hidden layer dengan fungsi aktivasi ReLU dan 1 output layer dengan fungsi aktivasi Softmax. Dataset dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 2157 pola teks, yang dibagi menjadi data training dan data testing dengan rasio 8:2 sehingga data training berjumlah 1725 dan data testing berjumlah 432. Chatbot mampu menjawab pertanyaan pengguna dengan benar sebanyak 38 kali dari total pertanyaan yang diajukan sebanyak 46 pertanyaan. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa chatbot yang dibangun dengan TF-IDF dan Neural Network mampu memberikan respon yang cukup baik atas pesan dari pengguna dengan nilai akurasi sebesar 82,6%.

Abstract

The urgency of digital transformation is growing for companies, including government institutions. Budget submissions in large companies, including government agencies such as the Financial and Asset Management Agency of Medan City, need to undergo transformation for the purpose of effectiveness and efficiency. In practice, budget submissions in this department are still conventional, hence budget realization often occurs untimely. This research aims to develop a budget submission application that can help minimize delays in budget submission and realization. The development of this application uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach and the prototype method to ensure that the developed application meets user needs. Evaluation conducted with prospective application users in the institution assesses that the application is relevant to their needs, while application testing using the black-box method indicates positive results.

Abstract

Perbandingan agama atau yang sekarang lebih dikenal dengan Studi Agama-Agama (SAA) merupakan bagian dari program studi yang ada di Fakultas Ushuluddin dan Studi Islam (FUSI) UINSU. Meskipun telah lama didirikan, namun peminat dari program studi ini terbilang cukup sepi untuk skala kampus yang besar. Dalam memilih Program Studi, perlu adanya minat yang ditanamkan dalam diri calon mahasiswa. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti memiliki tujuan untuk melakukan riset klasifikasi calon mahasiswa baru Program Studi SAA dengan pendekatan minat siswa menggunakan Decision Tree C4.5. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat klasifikasi berdasarkan pohon keputusan dan rules yang di hasilkan. Model klasifikasi yang telah dibangun selanjutnya dievaluasi dengan menggunakan confusion matrix. Pada penelitian ini akurasi yang dihasilkan pada model klasifikasi sebesar 85,7%.

Abstract

People’s lives are greatly influenced by the environment, both Physical and social. This journal discusses three dimensions of environmental infkuence on society: social , economy, and health. The aim of this study is to study how the environment changes, both caused by natural factors and human activities, affect people’s quality of life. According to this research, environmental damage such as air pollution, deforestation, and climate change can worsen social and economy conditions and threaten public health. Otherwise, healthy environment and well managed benefits society in various aspects of life.

Abstract

Currently, student speculation on the performance of laboratory assistants varies greatly because there is no definitive data on their performance. Some students think that laboratory assistants do not do their job or speculate otherwise. The purpose of this study is to use a machine learning approach based on the Perceptron model to examine the level of student satisfaction with the services of computer laboratory assistants. Due to its effectiveness in binary classification, the Perceptron model was chosen. Using a questionnaire with two answer categories - “Yes” for satisfied and “No” for dissatisfied - 67 students at UIN SU's Computer Science Study Program provided survey results. Afterwards, the data underwent pre-processing steps such as normalization, numerical coding, and separation into training (80%) and testing (20%) data. Based on the training results, the Perceptron model consistently achieved 86% accuracy in both classes in terms of precision, recall, and F1-score. The strong performance of the model in identifying students' happiness and dissatisfaction is shown by the Confusion Matrix ranking. Both precision and recall were 88% for the “Dissatisfied” class and 83% for the “Satisfied” class. This shows that even with an unequal number of samples across classes, the model can effectively identify patterns in the data. The consistent performance of the model proves the effectiveness of this method in assessing the quality of laboratory assistant services. To improve learning in the laboratory, this research significantly advances the development of machine learning applications. Testing on larger and more varied datasets is recommended for additional validation to ensure the generalizability of the model.

Abstract

Infrastruktur jaringan yang baik dapat meningkatkan kelancaran operasional dan produktivitas suatu organisasi. Penggunaan perangkat MikroTik pada infrastruktur ini berperan penting dalam memberikan layanan komunikasi dan informasi. Optimalisasi jaringan point-to-point dengan MikroTik memfasilitasi koneksi langsung antara dua lokasi jarak jauh, meningkatkan efisiensi dan kecepatan transfer data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja infrastruktur jaringan. Metode yang digunakan antara lain analisis permasalahan, pengumpulan data, implementasi, pengujian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kinerja infrastruktur jaringan yang signifikan terlihat dari peningkatan kecepatan transfer data, penurunan latensi, dan stabilitas koneksi pada Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Medan. Penelitian ini memberikan solusi efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan konektivitas dan meningkatkan kinerja jaringan.

Abstract

A digital certificate is an official declaration of recognition that is usually given to particular people or organizations in appreciation of their education, experience, and skill. Because of their ability to reduce paper usage and improve operational efficiency, these certificates have become increasingly popular in today's digital environment, being used for a variety of purposes and replacing traditional paper certificates. But since digital certificates are stored in a digital file format, malicious actors can easily manipulate them. Known for being a one-way encryption method, the MD5 hash function converts messages of any length into a fixed-length string of 128 bits. The MD5 hash function is primarily used to confirm the legitimacy of files. It makes it easier to compare the calculated hash value with the original, protecting the integrity of the data. Meanwhile, two-dimensional matricies represented graphically as QR Codes are flexible data storage devices that can hold binary, alphanumeric, and numeric data. By combining the MD5 hash function with QR Regulations, data can be given a distinct identity that enhances its authenticity and prevents attempts at forgery or replication. This combination strengthens data security protocols, which is a vital requirement in a time when digital data powers many aspects of modern life.
