Abstract

International Humanitarian Law distinguishes between civilian and military objects in armed conflicts. However, complexity arises with dual-use objects. In the Russia-Ukraine conflict, attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure by Russia and the Kerch Strait Bridge by Ukraine raise legal questions. This research explores the status of dual-use objects and the legality of such attacks. Despite the absence of definite rules, some experts view them as potential military targets. Analysis indicates that Ukraine's energy infrastructure could be considered military, but Russia's attacks are deemed in violation of International Humanitarian Law. Conversely, the Kerch Strait Bridge cannot be categorized as a military object, making attacks against it a breach of international law. The importance of considering indirect impacts of attacks is also emphasized.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools are designed to produce graduates who are ready to enter the workfoce. However, the persistent gap between graduates competencies and industry demands leads to a high unemployment rate, particulary among SMK graduates. This discrepancy suggest that theoretical knowledge alone is insufficient without practical experience and technical competencies. Prior studies have explored various factors influencing work readiness, but limited research has focused specifically on the combined influence of Field Work Practices (PKL) and hard skills in the field of Office Management. This study aims to examine the effect of Field Work Practices and hard skills on the work readiness of 12th-grade students majoring in Office Management at public vocational schools in East Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. A total of 123 students from for public vocational schools were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation (SEM) method with SmartPLS. The results indicate that both Field Work Practices and hard skills have a positive and significant effect on students work readiness. Field Work Practices contribute to work readiness by exposing students to real workplace situations while hard skills ensure the mastery of relevant technical competencies. The findings highlight that work readiness is not solely determined by academic knowledge, but also by the practical experience and skills gained through structured industry exposure and technical training. Thus, schools are encouraged to enhance PKL implementation and hard skill development programs to improve student readiness in facing the challenges of the professional world. Keywords: work readiness, field work practice, hard skill, vocational education, office management

Abstract

The application of ukhuwah values in society faces challenges such as social polarization, inter-group conflicts, identity discrimination, and radicalism, which shows that the ideality of ukhuwah in Pancasila has not been achieved. The purpose of this study is to identify the values of ukhuwah in Pancasila. This research uses a literature study approach with indicators of ukhuwah contained in Pancasila. The research data was obtained through journal reviews, and the analysis was conducted with data verification. The findings of this study confirm that the values of ukhuwah basyariyah, watthoniyah, and islamiyah have strong relevance to Pancasila as a moral framework in building brotherhood and harmony amid the diversity of Indonesian society. The theoretical implications of this study show that the values of ukhuwah in Pancasila can be a universal foundation for building harmonious social relations. The limitation of this study is the difference in interpretation regarding the deep meaning of the values of ukhuwah basyariyah, watthoniyah, and islamiyah, especially in its implementation in the life of the nation and state.
