Abstract

Abstrak Perkuliahan Bahasa Inggris Matematika sebagian besar membahas bacaan singkat yang diikuti pertanyaan (comprehension questions), latihan tata bahasa (grammar) dan kosa kata (vocabulary) yang berkaitan dengan bidang matematika. Tujuannya agar mahasiswa memiliki kepercayaan diri dalam berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa Inggris serta memanfaatkan berbagai sumber bahan ajar berbahasa Inggris. Namun pada kenyataannya, mereka biasanya mengalami masalah saat media pengantar berubah dari bahasa ibu mereka menjadi bahasa yang lainnya. Fenomena ini dalam kasus pendidikan matematika membawa konsekuensi yang dihadapi para pendidik matematika. Tulisan ini menggambarkan pemahaman konsep matematika pada buku teks berbahasa inggris mengenai konsep pecahan pada mahasiswa yang menempuh mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris Matemtika Prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Madura

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out how prospective mathematics teachers can visualize the form of fractional division operations based on mathematical literacy skills. This research includes qualitative research with descriptive methods. This study was conducted on 3 students of the 3rd semester mathematics education program with high, medium and low mathematical ability with good communication skills. Researchers gave three questions on literacy tests. The tests given include problems related to division of integers by fractions, division of fractional numbers by integers and division of fractional numbers by fractional numbers. From the test results obtained, interviews were conducted of all three subjects. The results showed that all three subjects were able to understand and translate the questions and formulate what was asked of the questions. However all three subjects encountered constraints when trying to visualize the form of division of fractions by fractional numbers. They just memorize division formulas like “multiplying and inverting”. From the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the literacy ability of the subject in visualizing the form of the division operation is still classified as low.Keywords :  Mathematical Literacy, Visualizing, Divison of Fraction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Pademawu Barat 1 pada siswa kelas V SD tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan modul ajar dan bahan ajar berdiferensiasi yang dapat membantu guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran matematika. Pengembangan modul ajar dan bahan ajar berdiferensiasi ini termasuk dalam penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima fase yaitu: analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Modul ajar dan bahan ajar berdiferensiasi telah didesain dan dikembangkan berdasarkan pada proses analysis. Uji coba keterbacaan dan implementasi terhadap modul ajar dan bahan ajar telah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah secara garis besar modul ajar dan bahan ajar berdiferensiasi yang telah dikembangkan berada pada kriteria layak untuk digunakan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata hasil penilaian ahli terhadap modul ajar dan bahan ajar secara berturut-turut 91% dan 87,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak, serta hasil angket keefektivitasan modul, bahan ajar berdiferensiasi berturut-turut 92% dan 91,5% dengan kriteria sangat efektif serta tingkat ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran secara berturut-turut untuk kelas 5B dan 5A adalah 86% dan 90%. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa modul ajar dan bahan ajar berdiferensiasi yang telah dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif modul dan bahan ajar berdiferensiasi.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the difference in learning interest between students taught using the Discovery Learning model assisted by GeoGebra and those taught using conventional methods. The research employed an experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design, where the VA class acted as the experimental group and the VB class as the control group, each with 33 students. Data were collected using a learning interest questionnaire. The data was analyzed statistically by first carrying out normality and homogeneity tests on the data before carrying out the t-test. The results showed that the average learning interest score in the experimental group was in the very good category, while in the control group it was in the good category. The results of hypothesis testing with a significance level of 0.05 show that the Discovery Learning model assisted by GeoGebra has a significant effect on students' interest in learning, with this model generating higher interest compared to conventional learning methods.

Abstract

Technological advances have had a significant impact on society. Internet is one type of technology used to communicate. The fact that social media is used on the Internet is one of its benefits. The use of social media is growing rapidly nowadays. Social media can be utilized to increase knowledge if handled properly and effectively. Students are given the option to choose the information that best suits their needs. Also, it might help to become more proficient at making comments and sharing ideas on social media. This study uses a qualitative methodology by using sentences from the results of the Student Questionnaire of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, FKIP Madura University as data and sources of research data. Techniques for collecting data through surveys and analyzing them qualitatively. When students share views on social media while maintaining their belief in Religious values. Aspects of faith, morals, and worship are one of the teachings of religion that must be instilled in humans. Through the educational process and teaching materials, students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, FKIP Madura University, are able to bring up aqidah and ethics. Religious principles are formally communicated through the integration and educational process. Views and behavior of other individuals that have been used in the use of social media by students. FKIP Madura University seeks to help students internalize religious values. Abstract

The disposition of critical thinking plays an important role for teachers, particularly in responding to mathematical problems. However, several studies have shown that the disposition to think critically is still low. This descriptive-qualitative research aims to analyze and describe prospective mathematics teachers’ critical thinking dispositions based on their self-confidence. Three subjects were selected from a total of 25 prospective mathematics teachers who were given a self-confidence questionnaire, with very good, good, and poor self-confidence criteria. Data collection was conducted by administering a critical thinking disposition test of the Problems With No Specified Universal Set Given (PWNSUS) type and conducting interviews. The results of this research indicate that prospective mathematics teachers’ self-confidence influences their critical thinking disposition. Prospective mathematics teachers with very good self-confidence fulfill the components of a critical thinking disposition, namely systematicity, self-confidence, inquisitiveness, open-mindedness, and analyticity. Meanwhile, prospective mathematics teachers with good self-confidence fulfill the components of self-confidence, inquisitiveness, open-mindedness, and analyticity. However, prospective mathematics teachers with poor self-confidence only fulfill inquisitiveness and analyticity. Two of the three subjects were unable to achieve two critical thinking components, namely truth and maturity, which can be developed through various exercises.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran seperti scratch, geogebra, maupun aplikasi lain sangat penting bagi siswa di sekolah dasar, namun demikian belum ditemukan pengembangan media scratch pada elemen bilangan pada fase A. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis scratch elemen bilangan pada fase A pada kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Model pengembangan ini mempunyai 5 tahapan, yaitu: Analysis (Analisis), Design (Perancangan), Develompent (Pengembangan), Implementation (Implementasi), Evaluation (Evaluasi). Kami menggunakan lembar validasi, angket dan lembar observasi untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah media scratch elemen bilangan fase A pada kurikulum merdeka dinyatakan valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli pembelajaran dan media yang diperoleh sebesar 0,83 dan 0,82 dalam kategori validitas tinggi. Sedangkan angket kepraktisan yang diberikan guru dan siswa diperoleh hasil 92% dan 90% dengan kategori sangat praktis

Abstract

Penelitian ini fokus pada kesalahan yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam membuktikan pernyataan biimplikasi dalam matakuliah analisis real. Secara umum kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa terbagi menjadi 3 kategori, yaitu kesalahan konseptual, kesalahan prosedur, dan kesalahan teknis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memetakan kesalahan umum yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pembuktian pada matakuliah analisis real. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah 16 mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Analisis Real II. Secara rinci, terdapat enam kesalahan yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini: (1) menggunakan contoh untuk membuktikan (2) Menggunakan penalaran yang tidak tepat (3) Membuktikan hanya satu arah dalam pembuktian biimplikasi (4) Arah pembuktian tidak jelas; 5) tidak cermat dalam melihat informasi pada premis, dan 6) tidak cermat dalam mengidentifikasi segala kemungkinan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe student's ability to explain the concept of solid figure's volume reviewed from visualizer-verbalizer cognitive style using the Cognitive Style Test developed by Mendelson Thorson. This study used a qualitative approach and the data collection technique was carried out by giving tests about the concept of  solid figure's volume and interviews. The indicators used to measure students' ability to explain the concept of solid figure's volume are, (1) Providing information in accordance with mathematical concepts (2) Information systematically organized with the aim of showing a mathematical relationship (3) using and selecting procedures or operations certain exactly. The results showed that both visualizer subjects (SV) and verbalizer subjects (SB) were only able to fulfill the first indicator in explaining the concept, both of them just can mention the formula of pyramid's volume. Meanwhile, to explain the concept of ball's volume, SV does not meet the third indicator, SV did not use the right mathematical procedures or operations. Both subjects showed characteristics that matched their cognitive style, namely SV was more flexible in providing explanations through pictures and SB preferred to make explanations in the form of descriptions.

Abstract

KKG Gugus 3 Pademawu merupakan Kelompok Kerja Guru yang terdiri dari sekolah dasar yang berada di kecamatan Pademawu. KKG Gugus 3 Pademawu terdiri dari SDN Pademawu Timur 1, SDN Pademawu Timur 4, SDN Pademawu 5, SDN Tanjung 1, dan SDN Tanjung 2. KKG Gugus 3 ini belum pernah melakukan kegiatan analisis delta rapor satuan Pendidikan dari masing-masing sekolah. Bahkan memahami isi rapor Pendidikan masih bingung, dan belum paham penyusunan ARKAS terbaru di satuan pendidikannya. Untuk itu, perlu adanya analisis rapor Pendidikan dan Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM) terkait rapor Pendidikan. Berdasarkan permasalahan ini, dilakukan workshop Analisis Delta Rapor Pendidikan dan Penyusunan ARKAS pada Kurikulum Merdeka. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah peserta memahami tentang Analisa delta rapor Pendidikan dan mampu Menyusun ARKAS dengan format baru sesuai Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM).
