Abstract

This study aims to examine the Role of Islamic Boarding Schools in Social Change: A Structural Functional Review of Tallcot Parson The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data analysis in this study used Milles and Hubberman with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study can be concluded that there are several findings related to the role of the Jabal Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in social change in the community of East Suwangi Village, Sakra District, East Lombok Regency, namely: a) The role of the Jabal Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in social change in society from a religious aspect, with a religious education system that is adjusted to the needs of the community around the Islamic boarding school, so that the Jabal Hikmah Islamic Boarding School is able to produce output of students and graduates of the Jabal Hikmah Islamic Boarding School who are able to contribute and become agents of change in the religious aspect by playing a role in religious activities and becoming leaders in all socio-religious activities. b) The role of Jabal Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in social change in society from the aspect of formal education, by organizing four formal educations, namely Kindergarten, Elementary Madrasah, Junior High Madrasah, Private Elementary Madrasah which are able to provide and facilitate the community to receive formal education. c). The form of social change in East Suwangi Village which emerged from the aspect of religion and formal education showed positive changes, this can be seen from changes in behavior that are increasingly better in terms of morals, politeness, and good leadership regeneration, then awareness of the importance of formal education in society began to form.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perspective of the Segara Katon village community, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency on the importance of education for them. The approach in this study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This study provides a description and explanation of the conditions or symptoms faced. . Data collection techniques in this study use three types of techniques, namely observation, interviews, documentation. Descriptive qualitative research is declared valid if there is no difference between the reported data and what actually happens to the object being studied. The results of the study explain that educational awareness in Segara Katon village, the community does not prioritize education because they do not know the importance of education for survival. There are at least two factors that influence the level of awareness of the Segara Katon village community towards education, namely external factors and internal factors. External factors that influence include economic factors (economic limitations), family factors (support in the family), and environmental factors (social situations of the community). While internal factors are related to the motivation of the community itself to carry out education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the contribution of female farm laborers in improving the standard of living of families and the factors of women working as farm laborers. This study uses a qualitative research type with a descriptive approach. By determining informants using purposive techniques with the criteria of housewives who work as farm laborers in Montong Goak Hamlet, Sisik Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that female farm laborers who work for other people solely to get wages/salaries in the form of money or goods, women who have dual roles, namely as wives, mothers and working as laborers, women participate in contributing to improving the family economy to be able to help ease the burden on their husbands and can meet the needs of family members with the results of working as farm laborers. Women have a big influence in improving the family's standard of living, namely the results of working as laborers can meet daily needs, basic needs, children's education needs, health and help in contributing to social needs and can carry out dual roles well. Female farm laborers are very helpful in improving the family's standard of living so that in this study, informants were generally in the living conditions of KS I, KS III and KS III.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to determine the role of the family in raising children's interest in learning and to determine the inhibiting factors of family role in increasing children's interest in learning at school age. the research method used descriptive qualitative. The location of this research is in Bagek Longgek region with 1 year research time. The subjects of this study was parents who has children that have children in school-age and research objects about parents role in increasing children's learning interest. the instrument of data collection is human instrument, the data analysis technique uses data collection, data reductions, data presentation, and data verification. the results of this study, the role of the family in increasing interest in learning by always looking for the results of their children's study so that they know the children's development, reward and punishment, giving award in form of praise, giving attention, provide the study facilities needed by children, doing an assist both in learning and doing tasks. inhibiting factors increase children's interest because parents can't guide their children study well, lack of attention from the family of results that they got, nor rewards not either punishment. the environment base on high- population area

Abstract

Penerapan model pembelajaran penyelesaian masalah (problem solving) merupakan salah satu strategi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dalam rangka menumbuhkan sikap sosial siswa yakni siswa memiliki kesadaran sosial serta sikap terbuka atau inklusi sosial dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dalam suatu rombongan belajar. Implementasi sistem sosial dalam pembelajaran berbasis pemecahan masalah ini mencakup peran dan hubungan siswa dengan guru secara rinci pada setiap tahap pembelajaran. Pada penelitian ini model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dianggap sebagai suatu komponen dalam sistem sosial pada pembelajaran yang berlangsung di kelas, sehingga dapat mengakibatkan adanya interaksi pembelajaran antara siswa dengan guru, siswa dengan siswa, serta siswa dengan sumber belajar lainnya.Penelitian ini adalah peneltian kualitatif deskriptif yang mengkaji tentang pelaksanaan sistem sosial pembelajaran problem solving sebagai upaya untuk menumbuhkan sikap kesadaran dan inklusi sosial pada siswa jurusan IPS di MAN 2 Lombok Tengah.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pnerapan sistem sosial pembelajaran problem solving dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran dan inklusi sosial siswa dalam berinteraksi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has led to a decline in verbal communication activities, impacting many aspects of daily life, particularly social interaction. The researcher assumes that social media serves as a platform for interactive engagement, both personally and in groups. Consequently, this study aims to examine the impact of social media on the interaction patterns of the community in Rujak Ngalun, Mekar Sari Village, Praya Barat District, Central Lombok. This research employs a qualitative method grounded in positivist philosophy. The data analysis is qualitative in nature, emphasising meaning over generalisation. Social media is a platform that provides various features enabling users to engage in digital activities in their daily lives. In the Rujak Ngalun community, social media serves as a comprehensive and user-friendly medium for social interaction, facilitating long-distance communication.

Abstract

Mencuci tangan merupakan satu tehnik yang paling mendasar untuk menghindari masuknya kuman kedalam tubuh. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk mencegah penularan COVID-19 kepada siswa-siswi SMA Islam Uswatun Hasanah Cempaka Putih, kecamatan Batukliang Lombok Tengah, melalui cuci tangan. Metode Pendidikan Kesehatan (Pengabdian) ini menggunkan 6 langkah cuci tangan yang baik dan benar. Langkah pertama basahi tangan, gosok sabun pada telapak tangan kemudian usap dan gosok kedua telapak tangan secara lembut dengan arah memutar sehingga menghasikan busa secukupnya selama 15-20 detik. Langkah kedua usap dan gosok kedua punggung tangan secara bergantian. Langkah ketiga gosok sela-sela jari tangan hingga bersih. Langkah keempat bersihkan ujung jari secara bergantian dengan posisi saling mengunci. Langkah kelima gosok dan putar kedua ibu jari secara bergantian. Langkah keenam letakkan ujung jari ke telapak tangan kemudian gosok perlahan dan bilas dengan air bersih serta keringkan. Dari kegiatan ini diharpakan siswa/siswi dapat menerapkan cucitangan dilingkungan sekolah pada khsusunya dan di lingkungan masyarakat pada umumnya serta membantu sprogram pemerintah Indonesia dalam proses pencegahan dan pemutusan rantai penularan COVID-19 sehingga dapat segera memulihkan angka Kesehatan penduduk di Indonesia.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran siswa harus diberi latihan sikap di kelas, termasuk memberikan inspirasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di SMAN 1 Keruak, terlihat bahwa beberapa siswa belum fokus pada mata pelajaran sosiologi, hal ini dapat dilihat dengan baik. bahwa selama jam pelajaran dan pendidik saat mengklarifikasi materi di depan kelas, siswa masih sibuk sendiri dan mendinginkan diri, misalnya berbicara dengan teman yang berbeda dan bermain ponsel. Ketika guru sedang mengklarifikasi ilustrasi, siswa tidak fokus pada pembelajaran, tidak mengerjakan tugas-tugas yang diberikan oleh guru. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah 1. Untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di SMAN 1 Keruak, 2. Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dihadapi guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di SMAN 1 Keruak. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Siswa dan guru di SMAN 1 Keruak. objek dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri (human instrument). Teknik Analisis Data menggunakan reduksi data dn abstraksi data dan terakhir penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil Peran guru Sosiologi di SMAN 1 Keruak adalah guru sebagai pengajar yang berkualitas yang dapat membuat dan melaksanakan program pembelajaran yang disusun dengan baik, guru sebagai motivator yang baik bisa mengelola dan mengendalikan diri sendiri dan peserta didik. Faktor-faktor yang dihadapi guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan eksternal dari dalam diri siswa.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of single parenting on children's character development in the Tembelok neighborhood, Sandubaya District, Mataram City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and documentation with single parents, children, and community leaders. The findings reveal that despite economic constraints and the dual roles faced by single parents, the dominant parenting style applied is authoritative, characterized by warmth, consistency, and clear but flexible rules. Daily practices such as greetings, respect for elders, discipline in worship, and participation in communal activities (e.g., religious events, mutual cooperation, and traditional ceremonies) foster positive character traits including honesty, discipline, responsibility, empathy, and religiosity. The study also identifies three key factors influencing parenting outcomes: limited economic resources, educational background of parents, and the role of social support from extended family and community networks. These results highlight the importance of authoritative parenting combined with communal and cultural values in shaping children’s moral and social development. Practically, the study suggests that community-based programs and social protection policies are needed to strengthen the capacity of single parents in raising resilient and well-rounded children.

Abstract

The phenomenon of imbalance in the selection of Science (IPA) and Social Science (IPS) streams at the senior high school level remains a relevant issue in the context of Indonesian education. This study aims to explore teachers’ perspectives on the predominant tendency of students to choose the IPA stream at SMAN 1 Mataram, as well as the impacts of this imbalance on both teachers and the social dynamics among students. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with several teachers from diverse subject backgrounds. The findings indicate that the stream selection process is conducted objectively by considering academic achievement, psychological test results, as well as students’ interests and talents. However, student choices remain dominated by the IPA stream due to rational considerations related to future prospects. This imbalance affects the distribution of teachers’ workload and creates distinct social characteristics between the streams, although it does not cause overt conflicts. These results highlight the importance of fairer stream socialization and the critical role of teachers in providing personalized guidance to students. This study recommends strengthening internal school policies to manage the imbalance and encourages further research exploring students’ perspectives and other socio-cultural variables influencing stream selection.
